| Perhaps she was joining the fight a bit late, but a clear example of her skills was best, if only to let her team mates know her relative worth. She’d just been sitting there this whole time, like some bump on a log, and was just waiting for right moment to act. Hearing her sensei’s words was more than enough to push her into action. She knew all to well what was going to happen when the sulfur made its appearance again, and she intended on putting the flames to good use this time.
Beyond just the flames, she understood some of the finer details of the jutsu that seemed to be in the works. Surrounded by water, Saya had no doubt that Kaku himself would also be caught in the flames, and that would be her moment to act. As Kakuhan calls out the name of his jutsu, Saya gets to her feet. She readies for moment as she quickly breaks down the assault in her own mind. Three shots, she planned in her mind, and if all went well, there would be a much more dramatic end to this fight.. or perhaps a quick escalation of the violence. Either way, her actions were going to be the same.
Atop her tombstone perch, Saya was sure to keep her feet off of the ground. The earth had been her downfall before, and she was doing well to hopefully over estimate her Sensei’s talents. She gathers up her feet beneath her, and crouches low and steady on the stone slab as she watches the jutsu start. With the appearance of the first flames, Saya pushes herself into the air, and soars skywards for a moment.
Incapable of flight, Saya’s incredible leap would instead have to be what closed as much of the distance as was humanly possible. She was only about sixty feet from the fight when she started, and her first leap was enough to clear the first half of it before she set down on the ground. When she lands she drops low to the ground, pressing one hand down against the damp ground beneath her. She’d remain in that spot for only a split second, her followup jutsu consuming her in the next. A small cloud of dirt and grass kick up around her as she bounds forward in an instant, a well timed Shunshin Jutsu whisking her away from her vulnerable positioning on the ground.
Unlike some shinobi, Saya was not the type to speak during a fight. She did not announce herself with great shouts, or mutter clever insults to those she was about to strike. Doing so only offered warning, and time to react to otherwise surprising displays of sword skill. Saya’s sword was still in its scabbard when saya lands directly behind Kakuhan, but before that fact can even be recognized it has changed.
Without even a thought Saya draws her blade, the ancient and perfectly forged katana leaving its holder and cutting through the air in the same motion. She sweeps the blade sideways across Kaku’s lower back, the quick draw not delivering enough force to do more than surface damage. Cut two follows upwards, sweeping in high and slow arch to the left. While the slash itself does little to actual cut through her sensei again, it does present a shift to the right as a simple defense. That shift, if taken, was what Saya was counting on.
First hand knowledge let her know what Kakuhan was capable of, and just what was going to happen as the flames were settling. Any damage done was already being healed.. and that healing took time. The time it took also drained the body and hampered its mobility. That lack of mobility was all Saya needed to land her last blow. The first two slashes had been delivered with remarkable speed, and the pause between the second and third attack was unnoticeable. In his distracted and damaged state, Saya had to hope her last slash would find it’s mark.
The blade comes down quickly, cutting with full force and striking low on Kakuhan’s body. The razor edge of the high ranking weapon was aimed for just above his knee, and was swinging hard enough to fully sever the limb if not quickly defended. More over, the intent to do damage seemed more than present in her assault. It was no practice move that she hoped would work. If she needed to follow up the attack, and cut more than one leg off, she seems mentally capable of doing just that.

Name: Swift Spear Rank: E-S Type: Weaponry Element: None Description: This jutsu makes the Ashigaru faster when using their weaponry. By expending an amount of chakra, the shinobi is pushes it out into their muscles and joints to make them more flexible and faster. A shinobi will find themselves 5% faster per rank of chakra expended. This increase lasts for two posts before it fades, with no lasting side effects. (E-5%, D-10%, C-15%, B-20%, A-25%, S-30%)
Name: Shunshin no Jutsu Rank: D-S Type: Ninjutsu Element: N/A Description: This jutsu is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily boost the user's reflexes. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance between the user and their intended destination.
Name: Footman's Sword: Katana Quantity: 1 Location: In scabbard on left hip. Rank: B Appearance: This is a finely crafted longsword with a graceful curved blade. It is forged of solid steel and folded over and over to give it suprising durribility in spite of it's light design. It is a common weapon among warrios all over the various ninja nations. The Katana of the Ashigaru clan are almost all very old. Ancestral weaponry is issued to the soldier, however is expected to be returned. This weapon is not owned by the Ashigaru Soldier, it is owned by the elders of the clan. The weapons perfect functionality, as well as it's time tested and battle proven edge, make it a lethal and dangerous weapon in the hands of a skilled warrior. This weapon is a fine example of it's kind, and is razor sharp and much harder to break than a regular one. Special Abilities/Characteristics: N/A This is a well made katana of great age, but nothing more. It has no openly magical powers, and can not channel chakra, but the sword is almost unbreakable. It is much lighter and much sharper than even a good quality katana, and is a perfectly crafted weapon. Origin: The Ashigaru clan has a large collection of talented metal workers. Through out the years they have established a massive armory of ancestral weaponry. These weapons are guarded well, cared for, and repaired free of charge to any Ashigaru clan member that is still in good standing with their family. Showing cowardice, or losing a weapon, is sure to get you out of their good graces. Every Ashigaru is issued ONE katana by their squad commanding officer. If this weapon is lost, pity the EX-Soldier.
Name: Strike Without a Thought Type: Weaponry[Kenjutsu] Rank: C-A Element: None Description: Those trained in the use of a sword know it is an extension of their own bodies. This technique involves quickly drawing the sword from it's scabbard and slashing the enemy in one fluid motion. It is very fast, taking about half the time it would take an untrained ninja to draw a sword from it's sheath. By trusting in her training and soldier instincts, Saya is able to assault the enemy effectivly by relying on muscle memory, and experience. At B rank this technique draws the blade in 1/4th the time it usualy takes to draw a blade. At A rank it draws the blade at 1/4 the time requires typicaly, -and- can resheath the weapon after the first slash is completed.
Chakra used thus far: 4 C rank. (Previous entry Shunshin, This Shunshin, Activating Speed at C rank, and Summoning Kusamaru.. who is still out in the trees somewhere.

| Indeed. This match was clearly, pretty much over. From Sho’s perspective, it wasn’t rocket science that this fella contained too much talent and skill for him and his other comrade to handle. Attack from ahead, attack from behind, attack from underneath, attack from the sky, hell attack from within. There was no way of beating or even killing him on that matter. Kakuhan would supposedly conjure up a clever plan to counter ever damn thing you threw at him. And if you were lucky to land a hit, the bastard was granted the ability restore and revive his wounds and injuries! In like no time whatsoever. "Does he even have a weakness. . . ?" He asked himself in a dumbfounded approach, gazing upon the physical features of the man.
But on a personal note Sho took a slight liking to their newly founded sensei. Not on some weird teacher and pupil nonsense, but instead he admired the power of Kaku. It was something far beyond normal shinobis he'd ever encounter before. If one day he wished to obtain the same power, he would have to tag along and become familiar with the group. Acting would soon have to become one his major fortes. Showing devotion and acting as if he was content with them all. But merely it would be a hoaxes, only hoping to gain their trust and suppress this unknown ability.
"Yeah. I'm with the retard on this one." He nodded towards his male colleague in a somewhat teasing fashion. "There's no possible way of defeating you even if we tried which is bullshit if yeah asked me. But yeah, even if it pains me to say this -" He briefly paused and rolled is eyes in a single rotation. ", I guess you're a worthy opponent. And so in return you've won my loyalty and respect. But, don't take these words for granted. Sadly, I have a bad case of lying to others. In due time you'll all will understand what I mean." Having said that, he gave off a faint sneer towards both male individuals and disabled the foggy substance surrounded among his hand.
Then out of the blue. No, mist. Approached a young female girl about the age between perhaps 10-15 of age. His guard raised once again, as he slid for a kunia within his side holster. Standing a few meters apart from this all, he could tell she was a swift lil' cat. Appearing behind the back of Kakuhan almost undetected, he could've helped out but no. He wouldn't say a single word, but waited on how their sensei would react to such an unexpected and a silent-assassin like approach. |

| (OOC: In order to deal with the present mess created by Marcus's lack of the character who was participating in this thread, I've obtained permission to kill said character from him in this post to prevent barring the post cycle and plot holes. I've also received permission to confirm the hit on Wind to save posting time as well.)
Kakuhan made a mental sigh, not finding it appropriate to express it out verbally as the girl moved from her previous seat in a flash and cloud, apparently not being one of the more exemplary behavioral models. He reached a hand behind his head, she was certainly a chore, but he didn't have much of an interest in dealing with her at the moment so he figured it would be better to handle the situation without too much exertion. She was really an interesting little feature...
The girl came bursting through the flames as they died out, and Kakuhan, using chakra to remove the limitations placed on his shoulder muscles and bone, bent it backwards behind him to grab the incoming skull of the girl, holding her in place like an older sibling holds a younger to avoid being hit. Chakra was sent form his body into Saya's, attacking her nervous system and causing the heart itself to shut down, knocking her down into a comatose state when the chakra made its way.
"Now, in honor of the system of evolution, I'd like to show my..." Kakuhan grinned at this phrase, "remaining students, what kind of power I have to offer them. Incompetents have no place in this village, let alone on my team, so without further delay..." Kaku slammed his palm to the earth, vines emerging from his body and racing through the earth until the found the body of the boy who had only so recently attempted to kill him with the water prison. He'd chosen to hide behind a tree, a poor choice for him since Kakuhan was aware of the thoughts of every plant in the area by his own Kekkei Genkai ability, the Genin couldn't have possibly known that so it was almost pure luck that he was going to meet this end.
Luck was luck however, and Kakuhan needed to make an example out of somebody, why not who appeared to be the weakest link? No bloodline, no significantly powerful jutsu, and even his tactical mind was marred by a failure to account for jutsu he knew about, that just wouldn't do. The vine raced through the earth and with expert precision tore through the soles of the Genin, reaching up through his legs and torso until they snared around his heart, the scream of pain being silenced by the blood trickling out of the mouth.
"If you'll look to your right, you'll see what happens to undesirables..." Kakuhan stated, trying to finish up quickly so that the girl would maintain enough consciousness to at least see another example of his wonderful work. The vines, wrapped around the boy's heart, dug in and with a mental urging from their master, coiled and crushed the heart into a bloody pulp within him, silencing the beat that was felt and causing the body to crumple. Blood poured out of the mouth of the now earthbound head, and the vines retracted like serpents and returned to Kakuhan as he raised his hands off the ground, a spot of blood being visible on the hands he'd used to perform the jutsu. "Now that we're done with that, questions my one remaining conscious pupil?" Kaku asked, looking at the Meikiri and smiling.
- Spoiler:
Name: Heart Squeezing Vine Rank: A Type: Ninjutsu (Medical) Element: Doton Description: Kakuhan slams his hand on the ground and causes two vines travel through the ground to emerge from the ground and pierce the soles of an opponent within 35ft of the user, compensating for their movement speed, if any. At this point, the vine then shoots up and snares the heart, grabbing it and applying pressure that brings the opponent to realize that their body has been infected. The vines travel at incredibly high speeds and due to the emergence from the ground, without an ability to watch or sense the earth, dodging the attack is unlikely.
Once the vine has taken hold, Kakuhan is able to control the vine with standard telepathy, addressing it to either attack other organs in the body, crush the heart, or any other number of possible effects desired. Movement is still possible, and unrestricted, as the vines break off from the ground once they enter through the heel, but it is rarely advisable since the opponent is in a disadvantageous position and may cause Kakuhan to simply kill them rather than deal with their antics.
Name: Pulse Stop Rank: A Type: Ninjutsu (Medical) Element: None Description: The user causes either their own pulse to stop, making them appear dead and entering a state of conscious death in which they are able to receive sense-based information and may end the jutsu at any time. If used on an opponent, a touch to the neck or head is necessary, at which point the body shuts down and the opponent collapses to the ground, put into the same state as the user would be if they used it on themselves, but without the ability to end the jutsu at whim. The technique can be fought against, but the best that can be achieved in mumbling or body twitches.
This enables the user to appear dead, at will, or to grant others this ability, or to make a corpse seem more lifelike by giving it a pulse which can be used to confuse persons about the true state of a dying (actually dead) comrade, or to make corpses less noticeable for other jutsu.

| She had him now, there was no way he could defend! Trapped in flames, and she had his back! Damage would be dealt, and Saya would show off her talents! Oh the plans, even the best laid plans, crumble in the face of superior combat prowess, and experience. In the blink of an eye Saya had cleared the distance between them, and was ready to draw her blade.
Her sword had left it’s scabbard only halfway when Kakuhan reached backwards. The defense made no sense, no one should be able to reach around like that! Saya’s footing changes slightly, already moving to adapt to the counter attack. She knew she could take a hit from a jounin and still stand, so letting him find purchase on her skull was of little concern. The gentle touch was little more than a mild distraction... at first.
Blinding lights filled the girl’s head as his chakra assaulted her brain, misfiring her nervous system and over loading it. In an instant she collapses, falling unconscious for a moment and landing rather gracelessly on the ground below her. After only a moment she stirs some, shifting on the ground, and completely confused as to whatever the hell just happened. Kakuhan should have been healing his leg, and saya should not be on the ground.
With the speed it had happened, Saya almost missed her sensei’s assault on her team mate, though she roused herself just in time to see Marcus fall. She makes a single attempt to rise, though her legs were still far to shakey to permit it. Her heart was still racing, and her mind cluttered with confusion. After failing her first attempt at rising, Saya settles for just sitting up, and remaining quite dazed.
Off in the distance, Kusamaru saw his friend fall, and moved quickly to intervene. The dinosaur leaps from the tree it’s been hiding it and soars through the air, landing heavily on the ground with enough force to even shake the earth just slightly. It hisses once, bearing it’s teeth at Kakuhan, but keeping it’s distance. As Saya shifts and sits up, he falls silent once more. A quick shake ruffles the monsters feathers, and it’s voice comes out with a raspy hiss.
“You are fasssst.. I’ve never sssseen anyone match Ssssaya’s ssspeed ssso perfectly.” Says the beast as it bows slightly lower to the ground. It marches forward a few more steps, approaching Saya’s side and leaning down towards her. Both Saya and Kusamaru remain silent now, listening to the jounin, and lacking a response to such brutal actions. Of course, even if she wanted too Saya couldn’t speak right now. Just sitting up was enough of a challenge on its own.

| And like that, the so promising attack from the young girl was canceled out by the overpowering defense from his sensei. Perhaps with little or no effort at all, he noticed Kakuhan maneuvering his backside area ready to unleash a counterattack. In the blink of an eye, she was grabbed by her small noggin and then suddenly fell to the ground in an unconscious state. "You'll never catch him off guard with those speeds. . ." He shook his head side to side, feeling a tab bit sorry for the girl. For a strange reason, it almost like Kaku already knew and anticipated the surprising ambush from the little brat. But how so, if his back was facing the child? Did he now possess mystical powers of foreseeing the distant future, or was it just sheer luck? Possibly Kakuhan, himself knew the answers to these questions.
He was granted the spectators spot of watching and viewing about at least everything that had happened currently. Then the most horrific thing happened during this whole encounter. No doubt, he witnessed the death of his potential teammate. The sad part was that he never caught the name of the lad, but anywho he could’ve cared less at that moment. This was nothing new to the eyes of this young shinobi. Mainly a shinobi of the mist, you were bound to see dead bodies laying around this trailer trash or hear of rumors about the people departed from the living. Sadly, this place was miles away to be called a village of paradise and harmony. In other words it was somewhat an outcast of it's other neighboring villages. An aspect that favored Sho Meikiri's likings.
*Clap, Clap, Clap, Clap*
Generating sounds of slow applauds from within his hands, he walked with a steady pace towards area of Kakuhan and fallen young kunoichi. Nearly nose to nose apart from the man, he stopped and stood in his tracks. During his whole time in this graveyard, this was the closest he'd ever been next to this guy. Presenting a bare expression on his face, he looked to his right, showing traces of blood and the carcass of his beloved male teammate. Then he aimed his attention downwards to cold ground revealing a small almost lifeless body of the kunoichi barely standing. He slowly rose his head, staring into the eyes and practically the soul of Kakuhan. Desiring explanations scurried through his mind. What the hell was it? Even a shinobi of Kakuhan's caliber couldn't exert such immense abnormal strength without some sort of an enhancer. So what was the real deal behind his strength?
He knew he was facing a growing internal conflict with himself and did not need an answer, but the truth. Only the truth. At that exact moment, Sho clinched his fists and exhaled air from his lips. This would calm his nerves and gave him the guts to get these concerns from off his chest. "What... What… is it?! What is this thing that makes you so damn powerful? I must have it. I'll do anything to obtain it." He formed a menacing smirk across his face and deepened his voice. "Even kil- " He paused in shock by an unexpected occurrence and sounds from an approaching weird creature. Sho's once serious and stern attitude, turned into a surprised and childish mid-set. "Eww you stink… " He said laughing and pointing towards the dino-looking creature. |

| "Sorry, I don't talk to..." Kakuhan looked at the creature, he had a preference for plants and mostly ignored animals that weren't human, bordering a hatred for them as he demonstrated with his little rabbit earlier. There wasn't really much of a point beyond experimentation, he could've theoretically used any creature, but he chose an animal. Well, that was because he couldn't use a human being, so he supposed he had a borderline hatred for humanity if that was what he was using to define that.
What was he thinking about again? Oh right, this grotesque thing in front of him, some sort of retarded half bird half reptile thing that looked like it was torn straight out of one of the village laboratories. Maybe it was a demon, should he be killing it? He wanted to kill it, but he supposed he couldn't prove it was a demon and he couldn't go around just killing everything he didn't understand. Then he'd have quite a pile of bodies to deal with. Kakuhan made a mental note to get back to that and left his sentence unfinished as he turned to the Meikiri.
"What makes me who I am would be my life, but thats not what you're interested in, you want something a little bit more physical, something you can hold, something you can see, something you can have for yourself. A lot like yourself, I was some part born and some part created. I was born a cripple, muscles and bones too weak to become a shinobi, but my father, a great man, brought me a tool that cost him his very life to reverse my ill fortune. At the cost of one life, I gained a life as a hunter, and in honor of his sacrifice and my own desires, I spread his gift." Kakuhan brought out his hand, burns still evident which he was readily ignoring because he hadn't yet decided that they were worth taking care of, its not like he anticipated an attack in his own residential village.
A vine emerged, tearing through the skin and revealing a sealed bud which spiraled out, the petals of a flower covering his extended palm and expelling a small black seed before the vine retracted into Kakuhan's body. He held the seed with two fingers and gestured back at Saya. "She was the first shinobi I tested it out on, and she's doing pretty well, she can do just about everything I can do as far as regenerative properties. This little seed houses a parasitic plant that attaches itself to the hosts body, through a very painful process, and then it grants them enhanced regenerative abilities, a constant stream of communication with myself, and a natural ability to remove foreign bodily agents."
"I should tell you however," Kakuhan said, "You won't be able to exert the same level of control over it as myself, you lack my blood so at best you would be at the mercy of an intelligent organism that has direct access to your bodily systems, organs, and bones who also happens to regularly pay rent for using your body." |

| As moments pass, normalcy returns to Saya’s body. The numb tingling she had been feeling through out her body fades away, and her legs begin to once more respond to her brain’s requests. Whatever jutsu had just hit her was one she’d never even imagined. What it had even done was lost on her, but she was impressed. She raised to her feet easily enough, no emotion registering on her face. As Saya wasn’t the focal point of the fight, she was happy enough to fall back into the background.
Without a word she took a few steps back and straitened herself. She turned her eyes towards her sensei and silently listened. Her left hand falls naturally on the handle of her sword, though she had no intention of drawing it. She seems as though nothing had happened to her, but of course, this was not all the vine’s doing.
Easy to heal though she was, Saya’s other strengths lent themselves to her stoic display. No amount of pain could break her warrior’s demeanor, and no sense of injury registered on her features. While Kakuhan was speaking, she gradually looks away. Her eyes look down on the fallen Kiri, wondering what good had come from his death. He had heart, at least. Surely a death on the battlefield was a much better fate, than to be cast aside as faulty.
She squeezes her weapon just slightly tighter for a moment, pondering its perfect quality. A weapon of lesser quality could fail her in battle. The result of a faulty weapon could mean death, if Saya did not come equipped with so many. The death of her briefly known team mate quickly began to make sense in her mind, and after only a few moments she dismissed the topic as solved. The dinosaur, however, seemed interested still. The beast sniffs the cooling corpse, its reptilian tongue wetting his lips. At least it hadn’t eaten the body.. just yet.
She returned her attention to Kakuhan just in time for the appearance of the seed. Naturally her attention moves to Sho. At least one remained standing of the previous two that had come here. She wasn’t so sure herself that he was stronger, but that would certainly be seen soon enough. She betrays no sense of what the vines had done to her to her team mate. She just stood there and watched him, for now, waiting to see what he’d do. |

| Their eyes were all directed to him now. The pressure was on, so he assumed. With a slow movement of the arm, he took the tiny black seed from between the hands of the man. "So… So… this is my savior. My precious key to unlocking real strength. This is the blade that will diminish the weak and keep the strong prospering among this world?" He stared upon the seed for quite a long time. To put it , he had a fine amount of mix-feelings.
His conscious was alerting him to not proceed of taking the seed, to not indulge and give in to the mockery of thirsting for power. Another part encouraged him to derive on the seed, and almost provoking him to devote into the god given strength. With his own beliefs, there was no turning back. Decline the offering and possibly Kakauhan would see him as a coward, someone who is afraid and who is blinded on what they truly seek from this world. Accept the gift and over time he might also behold to become not a splendid ninja, but a force of destruction, purifying humanity of the feeble and pathetic fools.
With the black seed within his three fingertips, he carried it towards his lips. "Mmwa!" There he pressed the small delicate seed against his lips, giving a sudden kiss over it's surface and showing off a hint affection. He threw his hand containing the seed, above his head and into the ghostly essence of the surrounding fog. "One this very day, I Sho Meikiri will become the nightmare looming across this village. I will be your worst enemy that you will despise for eternity. Love it, or hate it!" After basically yelling to himself in a wild matter, he lunged the seed into mid-air and plopped it swallowing down his mouth.
To be honest, Sho didn't know what to expect from seed's supposedly drawbacks'. Kakuhan did inform him that the individuals who so boldly consumed the seed, went through an extreme painful process. But where was the pain? He felt his stomach growl showing signs that this seed was at least functioning, but nothing more. "Does it take a day for it to show it’s full effect or is this all a j-" He caught himself before letting out another word.
There was a sharp sensation of pain surging from his stomach, and then it hit throughout his whole body. His vision was becoming dimmer and dimmer by the second. He soon fell to his knees, feeling his legs beginning to wobble. His body and all set against the cold, wet ground of cemetery. A string of spit foaming from his mouth as he tried his hardest to speak. All that came out were short mumbles. In the matter of minutes, he was completely knocked out. A fallen warrior. |

| (OOC: Should probably point out that the seed has to be placed inside the heart, you can't ingest it, it starts from the most vital organ and spreads outwards to the others. Or at least the most 'vital' in the Naruverse.) |
