Delivering a Statue to the Clouds [Mission] Vide

Sometime passed since the young Aburame had spoken to Kemuri. Unlike her she remained quiet thus kept to her distance while Shuhei kept his. He knew he didn't wanted to get Kemuri in her bad side, as her temper was often triggered easily. He looked to his side, assuming she had changed her vision to him a warm smile came across his face. Everything will be alright....I won't disappoint you never again.... he thought to himself as his jaw tightened as he felt the ground below him change in texture. He then knew he was in the lightning country and almost close to Kumogakure according to the map he held in hand. As he walked in front of the pack he would wonder of the possibilities and challenges he would have as an independent shinobi. Ever since he got out of the village he has felt like nothing more than a disturbance to the people around him. As well as a disgrace to the village he was part of. And even though his hate towards it was slightly changing after some time outside the village with his comrades. It was clear that he was not well suited to live the life of a shinobi of the leaf.

A small sigh would escape his mouth as his eyes closed for a second letting his mind take over his body as he continued to walk forward. His mind would drift into a world free of charge , a world of independence and freedom. His eyes opened once more to only see the top of the village's gates approaching above the tree line the walk beside of. "We are here...I can see the gates already." Shuhei said to the pair of girls as he continued to walk forward non stop. He figured he would keep quiet and see if one of the guards noticed them when they reached the gates themselves. He wasn't really in search of trouble. They have finally reach their last destination, and the place where the statue is supposed to be delivered.

The trio had been marching for a time and finally the granules of sand that Kemuri’s boots trudged through unwillingly gave way to the stony soil of Kumogakure. Soon enough that soil would give way to true stone and the boulders that made up the terrain of the mountainous nation of Lightning. The area brought a comfort to Kemuri, a strange resonance with the land that she just could not quite shake and it allowed her to enjoy this more than she enjoyed the desert. Regardless, even setting foot onto the more firm surface caused a few stray hairs to drift skywards unaided by wind. Brushing the blonde strands back down to her cheeks, the minor annoyance was dealt with and onwards the shinobi from the village hidden in the leaves moved onwards with Shuhei leading the way. Luckily their journey did not take overly long as they wove through the foothills of the nation towards the village entrance proper.

Letting out a sigh of relief, Kemuri set eyes upon the gates of Kumogakure and allowed her normally pristine posture slouch some. The gates were of similar design of those in Konohagakure no Sato but the miles of fence line they had passed was indeed very different. Chain linked and with warning signs posted, such a defense looked easy to bypass but one would have to assume it was heavily trapped on both sides of the line it created. Using the back of her hand to wipe sweat from her brow, her eyes moved skyward and immediately realized why this was the land of lightning. Overhead the pendulous black clouds rumbled with a dull roar as they let out tiny flashes of light that did nothing to illuminate the land around the approaching Leaf Ninja. It would likely rain sometime today, or perhaps these black clouds were a permanent fixture here in Kumo. The trio approached the door together with Shuhei in the front, but Kemuri would never be satisfied to take to the task quietly.

”Knock knock…”, the words offered up under her breath as she flexed her fingers a moment before they tightened into a fist. Moving forward a step and launching that fist forward allowed Kemuri to knock in her own special way as a the hollow boom of someone knocking on the gate sounded though the immediate area. ”Shouldn’t have to wait long now, yeah?”

A strand of hair that had been shaken loose was brushed behind her ear and Kemuri watched the top of the gate in expectance of guards like in Konoha. She had never outside of the village save for some early travels on the back roads in her childhood, his was the first village outside of the Land of Fire that she had ever seen. With ripe pickings for bandits usually found on the roads leading to Konohagakure no Sato there was simply no reason to normally trek further than her own back yard. Now she was in a foreign land waiting on foreign shinobi and that thought made her a tad nervous. She tried her best to conceal that fact though, simply remaining at the ready should anything surprising come out of this encounter with foreign shinobi.
