Plot Thread Area?

Mehhh, I already have one up for myself and idk how many people will actually post in it buuuuut, I thought it would be nice to have an area for this. Not everyone can just discuss their plots in the chat and sometimes pming can be a hassle and seems a bit too personal. Sometimes you want to get with a group of people and discuss ideas for something! Having a small area in the "Chat" area would be perfect for this. People can post a topic about their character and what kind of plots they are looking for, others can post in that topic and come up with plottage together! Sound fun?

Only got a short time to post this but Once I hit chuunin, was planning on legally leaving the village to go to Kiri in search of family once thought lost. That's my personal plot that can involve people outside my village.

Plus I have an Idea or two, but I need to speak to staff before making anything public.

On a more topic-related point, yeah a Plot thread works, but it's kind of making things public. I like the element of surprise and what not, so I wouldn't find myself posting anything on such a thread.

And to add to Drake's point, people won't want to be too open about their plans and personal plots, because people will position their characters to counter them and people aren't as willing to let their characters die as they should be, haha.

I don't see the point in a separate area for this. As we've seen, the blogging corner in General Discussion can be used for this purpose, as there's no real guideline as to what the blogs really have to be centered around. Some use it for their personal, OOC things, others use it for their IC plans. Adding another separate area would just clutter up the boards since I doubt everybody would use it based on the fact that, like it was already mentioned, some prefer to keep these plans private. There's nothing stopping people from plotting together, whether it be through threads, PMs, or even IM clients.

This is brought up way too much. We tried it before and it flopped. Here is what solved the last thread about the same thing.

Jelly summed it up perfectly. We tried this idea and it was hardly in use but there's still areas like the Blogging Corner that would allow you to make a page with a timeline of your characters threads.
