The Heated, The Restless and The Insane [Mochi and Xeki Meet]

Mochi sat there, flicking her fingers together near a Geyser. It was quite a warm place and yet still easily capable of helping her rest, as the loud noises and warmth reminded her of explosions. She would drift into a very tired state during each thunderous discharge happened. The vapour created was quite fascinating and gave Mochi many ideas, such as basing explosives off a similar effect. These acted as inspiration for her C-Rank explosives after all, their pressure induced explosions of force and heat, she believed such inventions would give way to a new era of explosives. Where she sat was quite stable, a slap of rock which had many layers between it and the piping hot steam. It was warm however and somewhat moist from the resulting droplets that came back down. While getting damp would annoy most she didn't mind, instead it was refreshing as she hadn't bathed since the day before. Feeling the still warm vapour come down and rest upon her body acted well for a wash, and as this was the case Mochi took it upon herself to scrub down here. She would not remove any clothing, but instead took a stained cloth and began rubbing it over her skin wherever dirt sat. This didn't take long and she was safe from being seen for the moment, but she was simply taking a precaution as she felt very private about her own body. It was regular for Mochi to spend her spare time here, anybody that knew her or was asked to find her would always look here first. This was after all her home, the bare ground beneath the blue skies or shining stars.

It was one of the main reasons she had such a primitive education, nobody else lived in this area, nobody else could stand the noise of the Geysers or had a reason to. Mochi was alone in her opinion, in her world she was the only one that could share these opinions with herself. Often she would enter the village and hang with other kids, especially the civilians. It's possible she could have been followed during such an event, as she had been several times before. Mochi's body would appear clean now as she finished wiping herself down, the cloth taking on more dirt and further staining. It was obvious that she'd been homeless for some time, by both the appearance of her clothing and her general standing in the world. People would take pity on her, leaving her spare food that didn't sell from their shops, paying for her to stay at motels so she could shower. Such acts of kindness were often overlooked by Mochi, she thought more of events than one really should and suspected it was her uncle doing these things. It had been some time since she last visited a motel, or had a shower, her left eye was blackened from a punch she'd received some time ago, while small cuts practically covered her body. The girl with little to live for sought out an explosive living, a loud and equally spectacular existence. This is why she praised her Haretsu bloodline, why she worked so hard to create explosives and maintain her strengths. There was nothing else to do in life, at least for Mochi, most others had different opinions but most also had a proper education. Most people could read, so Mochi was not most people.

Her head raised as another Geyser blew, the vapour reached so high that it appeared to strike some clouds. This was Mochi's ambition, some day she would create something so powerful that even the clouds above parted. Her explosives would be equivalent to nature itself, in power and equality.

Raiden walked along the rocky path, in one hand was a book from some guy from Konoha and in the other was a BLT a Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato with Cheese sandwich his favorite food to eat, even though that was his favorite food he still packed an apple in his pouch and a plastic container full of Orange Juice. If all food except a BLT was removed from the world then Raiden would be beyond happy. He didn’t know why he loved them so much, he just did. He kept on munching on it as he walked along before he felt sweat beat down his forehead. He wiped it off of him and onto the ground “Damn its getting hot..” he said to himself. He figured that it was getting hot because when he snapped back into reality he was getting near a damn geyser and it was getting extremely hot. He simply shrugged it off and kept on walking, he wanted a nice quiet place to rest and relax to read this book that his sensei gave to him. He wondered what it was about.. Ame-Sensei didn’t seem like the type who liked to read but then again, looks can be deceiving and everything is not always what it seems to be, that was the first rule of Genjutsu. He kept on walking along finishing off the last of his sandwich before he looked over to see a female just sitting down on a slap of rock which had many layers between it and steam coming from it. He seriously sat there and wondered if that lady was insane, that rock must have been extremely hot and she was just sitting there not caring at all.

He walked closer and the sounds of the Geyser grew louder, they irritated his ears but he would get used to them as he hung out there. Who knows maybe this lady could be a new friend for him since one of his teammates was kind of mean and his other he hasn’t even met yet. He looked a little closer and the girl seemed very clean with a piece of cloth in her hand, she had short blonde hair which barely reaches down just beneath her shoulders and two bangs at the front which are tied with pink ribbons, Her headband was slightly parted down her hair in the middle, Her eyes had a strange color to them, mainly just the irises which were purple. He had never seen anyone with purple irises before so it was very strange to him. her left eye was blackened as if she had taken a wounding blow to it, probably from training or some jerks in the village who knows. She looked poor though and that make Raiden feel bad. He walked up to her left side and said “Hello, my name is Raiden” in a loud enough tone so she would hear him. He was only standing about 5 meters away from her and he was in view so he didn’t accidently scare her into attacking him randomly which would suck for both of them, might totally ruin his day if not end it. “Sorry if im bothering you, i just wanted to find a peaceful place to sit down and read my book here so pay me no mind.” he said once again before sitting down on the floor and opening it up to the first page to begin reading it.

A couple of pages later Raiden determined that It was gonna be a good book all things considered, but this was just the first few pages so this could take a massive turn around and turn into something awful. He kept on reading until he got to page 10 and looked back up to the female.

With nothing else to do but look around in this place, Mochi would notice the boy's approach. Although she didn't pay it too much mind, figuring it would be a quick visit like most. She assumed he was going to drop off some food for her to eat and then leave, however, he introduced himself unlike most. This just about astounded Mochi as her eyes widened somewhat, looking at the boy with an expression of utter surprise. Furthermore, he came closer and spoke yet again. This somewhat disturbed Mochi though, and likely he wouldn't understand as her surprise turned into a glare. The boy sat down and began reading a book, yet Mochi would stand and take a step towards him. She placed her hands on either hip before giving him a piece of her mind. "Whaddya think you can walk up in here an' sit on muh bed for? You gon' be lucky if I ain't shovin' a badonka-donk up y'er BUTT!" She still remained standing for a few moments, seriously analyzing this boy's reaction while attempting to hold back a grin. "Haha, you ain't bad mister. Dat is muh bed though, so'z unless you're lookin' fo' some smack I'd move it." Mochi seemed to remain quite serious about the matter, however, she simply didn't know how to respond to someone sitting near her. It had been quite a long time since someone of her age wanted to come close, yet alone within talking distance. Mochi wouldn't have minded the company, but the area he was sitting happened to be her home, it was everything she owned basically. Plus she didn't want him to stumble upon any of her belongings, especially her explosives.

The girl momentarily looked at his book, then again to confirm the matter once more. She realized something about the colour and shape of the letters, looking at the boy again. "I seen dat book, whatcha got Ame-San's 'lover' fo?" Unaware of whether he'd understand what she meant or not, Mochi pointed at the book with an impatient stance. She would have seemed to convey honest curiosity, as she was actually quite intrigued as to why the boy had it, although she couldn't read. It was quite obvious at this point that Mochi was mentally unstable, or at least should have been due to her constantly switching personality and focus. It would also have been easily noticed that her hands had mouths, both as she pointed at the book and earlier when she was talking. Some drool from her pointing hand slowly drooped towards the book's pages, Mochi noticed this somewhat late as it come quite close. However, even though she didn't value the book, due to her inability to read, she quickly used her hand's mouth to suck it back up. Quite cross still that this 'Raiden' had been sitting on her bed, Mochi would not let the matter go if he didn't move. She would return to her frustrated stance with a hand on either hip. However, if he briskly moved she would place one arm across her chest, while resting her other arm's elbow upon it and her head on top of this arm's hand. Naturally she closed the hand into a fist so it wouldn't wet her face; she'd only just finished wiping off the marks covering her skin. Mochi wouldn't trust the boy at this point, even if he did explain how he got the book, but she would take in whatever he said.

The female took a step toward her and started speaking to him in a very strange dialect. Apparently he was sitting on her bed and if he didn’t move she would shove something called a badonka-donk up his butt? He laughed but before he could react he then heard her laugh and say something about him being pretty okay with her and that he should get off of her bed right now. Raiden simply looked down to the dirt he was sitting on, this girl really was poor and that made him feel even worse. He jumped up and faced her and bowed to her slightly “Apologies” he said to her before smiling at her. He stretched and moved over to another spot and sat down to read, he wiped away the sweat once more “Is this spot better?” he asked her. He opened back up to page 10 and then he began to read again. This time he only got to page seventeen before he looked back up to her. This time studying her a bit more closely than before but before he could react, he heard her say something about him having Ame-sensei’s book. He looked down to it and back to her “Ame-Sensei gave it to me.. Wait why did you call her Ame-Sensei?” was this girl his other team member?? Usually only students call Jonin by the title of sensei if they are training under them. He gave her a confused expression as he waited for her response

The boy moved and apologized, which Mochi thought was rightfully so. While he sat not too much further from where he began it was at least off her sleeping patch, meaning she could relax again. Mochi sat down where the boy once was and wriggled a bit. It would seem as if she were getting comfortable, but she was simply moving the top layer of dirt to conceal her most recent creations. This would likely go unnoticed while Mochi's body blocked his view, unless he were attempting to perv on her thirteen year old body. She gave some consideration to his question about the new spot being better, placing her right hand to her chin and rubbing it momentarily. "I suppose, mayb's.. We'll see. Mochi's hands dropped and she placed both upon her knees horizontally. For now she'd watch the boy and see what his next course of action was, although it seemed quite boring as he simply returned to reading the darn book. Another question came out of nowhere, he asked why Mochi called Ame her Sensei? Shaking her head and face palming with some visual aggravation, the girl looked up at him and frowned. "I di'nt call Ame-Baka my Sensei, I was tryin' ta' be polite by callin' her Ame-San!" Mochi shook her head and crossed both arms, looking down at the ground in front of Raiden. "Y'know when ya don't pay 'ttension to someone's words 'yer gonna have a bad time." Her words would seem uncivilized still, but she hoped he understood her attempt to tackle such an argument.

Mochi's left eye would open wider so she could look up at the boy without changing her face's direction. Wishing to gauge his reaction and understand why he misunderstood her, but also wishing to explain further, the girl would speak once more. "I will say though, Ame-Baka does happen to be muh 'Sensei'. So if 'yer thinkin' we're squad members, then congrats on such brill-ant ded.. Dead... D-errr.... Deeeaddddd-uck-shins." Mochi would blush slightly, embarrassed about her mistake. She became a bit reclusive and closed her hands into fists, pulling both up to her face. Mochi's eyes became very focused on her hands as she analyzed what happened through her head, pronouncing the word over and over again mentally. It would seem as if she stopped paying attention to the boy.
