Renjiro Senju Picking up the Temple in Ruins mission

At 4.30am 3 days after his set-up meeting with various Kirigakure shinobi Renjiro received a scroll about the failing of the genin team dispensed to a C ranked mission which was an easy one at that. He sighed at that feeling the disgrace of the Genins failure being forced upon the other higher ranking shinobi of the village. Being a Senju and a proud young man he felt this burden personally and felt it upon his own honour to make this mission a success. There was still time for the mission to succeed and he headed off immediately after packing his ninja pouch full with his standard kit and food into a small rucksack which weighted in total of 15 kilos.

Renjiro arrived at the temple after a short amount of time running in the forest whilst also jumping from tree branch to tree branch and then came across the scorched land with cindered trees and grassland. This brought a tear to his eyes because as a Senju he treasures all life especially wood life/plant life. He carried on walking through the cindered forest until he came across the partially destroyed temple with a lot of cindered walls and towers.

After what seemed for hours (but was actually 3:21 minutes) he stumbled across an old man with an ash covered orange robe on slowly limping across the now devastate courtyard. “Hello Sir I’m the re-replacement for the shameful team of Genins that was here not long ago”. The man glared at Renjiro and then lifted the hood he had over his head down to reveal his face “You Kirigakure ninja are all the same ...” The monk then sees the golden thread embroiled Senju crests on both his gi top and hakamas. “Oh a Senju ... My apologies sir. All monasteries respect the Senju clan and its use and its respect for all types of life. Although the clans thoughts of human vs. Human warfare isn’t to our taste but we still acknowledge you and your clansmen as trustworthy” Renjiro nods and bows slightly forming 3 handsigns in an instant and with that the cindered wood around the whole monastery decomposed and sank back into the earth restarting the cycle of life again.

After the jutsu was complete the monks eyes widened and looked bemused at Renjiro. “What?” he said at this response ”Well it’s not that but well I didn’t expect that from a Senju. That has saved you and us a lot of work” “Well that’s why I did it. Ok it cost me a fair amount of chakra as I’m only a chuunin but id use up a lot more stamina doing it manually” Renjiro laughs. ”Touché Mr Senju” “Well my names Renjiro Senju, so call me Renjiro” ”Ok Renjiro” “Well I’ll be departing now, so I will leave the restoration of the temple to you as that’s something beyond what my chakra capacity can do” He laughs ”Well I thought that was assumed but we’ll call for help from the local villagers to help rebuild the temple” “Well see you soon” he waves and he walks off investigating the grounds a bit more.

Whilst the pair was talking and Renjiro was de-composing the wood the criminal was watching the pair from a distance. He was 5’3” tall, weighed 55 kilos, extremely skinny but well defined muscles. ”Well I wonder why a Senju is here” I was continuing my search using my inept ability to try and sense movement and prints in the ground however the opponent wasn’t anywhere near. Was forming a set of handsigns and when finished an explosion happened right in front of Renjiro. “GAH!” was caught head on by the explosion blasted backwards and with that my clothes was slightly burnt on the edges but Renjiro wasn’t hurt at all apart from being covered in dirt and ash as he had jumped back as he saw the ignition spark moments before the explosion. Was continuing forming numerous strings of handsigns causing explosion after explosion. Was still continuing jumping backwards, narrowly avoiding the flames of the explosions but managing to try and find the direction of where the ignition spark was coming from. It suddenly dawned on his as he jumped backwards and as he did so a spark flashed in front of his eyes and the explosion hit him head on and the area filled with dense smoke. What was hidden from the opponents view was the fact that Renjiro had preformed the handsign for the Wood Release: Body shell technique since the first explosion. As soon as he saw the spark in the corner of his eye his stratum corneum layer of skin instantaneously turned into a 3 inch thick layer of dense wood protecting him from the damage of the explosion. As soon as Renjiro landed to the floor with a thud the layer of wood reverted back into its original form and Renjiro formed more handsigns using the smoke as a screen to hide his wear about. Suddenly he created a water clone from the moisture of the ground and his own chakra and as that formed he sank into the tree that was next to him, using the wood meld technique.

I sat in the tree breathing quite hard but because I was melded into the tree it wasn’t heard. As the smoke was about to clear I jumped out of the tree I was in and jumped into another and then another and then another allowing for me to gain a huge distance from the clone. Was smirking as the smoke died down seeing nothing but a burnt and smouldering body on the floor. Due to the smoke reducing the visibility of the area he was unable to distinguish what the body looked like. The water clone burst as the smoke cleared and because of that my eyes widen. Renjiro was now behind the criminal as Renjiro emerges from a tree slowly, not making a single noise.His eyes widen as he felt the cold wet blade of Renjiros kunai against my throat. “Now don’t move, I don’t want you bleeding all over me now do I?” I was holding the snake handsigns whilst having the kunai against his throat. With that 10 small wooden pillars formed out of the ground and instantly wrapped around the man binding his hands and feet but making sure his hands was far apart to make sure he couldn’t make any handsigns at all, not even one handed handsigns. With that he make the connections of the wooden pillars to the floor break off and the picked the man off and put the ridged man up and over his shoulder.

An hour passed as he walked slowly back towards to the administration office directly as he had done it all of a sudden and thought he would hand the prisoner over to them; and this is where this story ends.

Name: Wood Release: Body shell

Description: This technique requires one single snake handsign and using the stratum corneum layer of skin as instantaneous cells to use. The user will manipulate those cells and create a thick layer of wood (aprox 3 inches) all over their body. After the use of this technique the user will reverse the technique and return the wooden cells back into his stratum corneum cells. This techniques protects the user against all taijutsu, weaponary and water ninjutsu technqiues B ranked and below. Wind jutsus effectiveness is reduced by one rank. Earth jutsus (that are not on a form of a weapon) and lightning jutsus have the same amount of effectiveness. Fire jutsus have one rank higher effectiveness. This technique usually takes 5 seconds to form and can only be used 3 times per topic with a 2 post length between uses.

Description: Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to create a Bunshin clone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Mizu Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target. The range of the clone is limited however, it cannot travel very far from the original body. If the Mizu Bunshin is injured, the clone will usually revert back into its natural water state.

Description: A fairly simple jutsu for any of the Senju clan. Because they are able to change any part of their body into wood at will, they also utilize that ability for this technique. Essentially activating this technique will allow a Senju to “dive” into a tree where he will be hidden and safe from harm. The only way to forcibly expel the Senju from the tree is by killing the tree. The tree will protect the Senju from most harm; however, inside the tree the Senju is only capable of utilizing wood jutsus. The user may also “tree hop” meaning he can physically jump out of this tree into another tree. The plus sides of this jutsu is that taijutsu, water/earth/wind ninjutsu, Genjutsu or fuuinjutsu will not effect the user whilst they are in the tree. The down sides are that fire and lightning ninjutsu is 50% extra effective if the user is still inside the tree.
