| Subject: Ent Summoning Training. (And for Kuchiyose no Jutsu In case I don't have it) Mon 01 Mar 2010, 11:57 pm | |
| The full moon painted the village with an eerie white glow, even at this hour of night. It was such a source of light, that ones eyes could see colors clearly, even at this late hour. Any clock in the village would have read sometime between three and four in the morning. In the pale moonlight, a lone figure was illuminated. Hanikaro stood, in the dead silence of the nighttime desert. Here, no owl's hooted, no wildlife scampered from bush to bush, no wind rustled through the trees. The air was stagnant. Perfect for his training. He was crouched above a scroll, able to clear read the words inscribed upon it by the light of the moon. He had been given this scroll when he had left the Grove of the Ancients, what seemed like a lifetime ago. He had never yet opened this scroll since had recieved it, for he had no need of it. But now that he was to be placed in a squad, He had decided that it was time he learned how to summon forth the tree spirits of the grove. He had been planning to do this training for quite some time in fact, however, had never had the oppurtunity. But at long last, on this silent night, his chance to do so had arisen. Reading over the blood contract he had signed with the tree spirits once again, he noted with great interest that while the scroll which he had placed his fingerprints upon was quite old, well over a hundred years probably, his red fingerprints were the first to have ever been marked upon it. So be it then- it only added to the uniqueness and surprise that the Ent's possessed- making the ability to summon them an enormous addition to his arsenal of Wood Style techniques.
Hanikaro stood up from his crouching position, and looked down at the scroll one more time, before he began the famous jutsu that had been passed down through the era's by so many- but never for a purpose such as this. Most people summoned animals of various shapes and sizes- Hanikaro called upon tree's themselves to do his bidding. His fingers dextrously flowed from one sign to the next, completing the relatively short sequence. Finally, he raised his thumb to his mouth, and bit down vigorously upon it, breaking the skin and causing blood to flow out. "Kuchiyose no jutsu" He whispered, and slammed down on the scroll. A wide, well known circular seal appeared around the area upon which he had placed his palm, followed by a large poof of white smoke. Moments later, as the smoke cleared, the newly summoned ent became visible. Hanikaro smiled as he recognized an old teacher of his, Barkfist. A smile came to Hanikaro's lips as he recognized the ent. "Barkfist, good to see you." He said, admiring the wooden spirit. Barkfist stood at 6 feet 8 inches, and was a relatively barren tree, his only foilage being towards the top of his heads. His eyes were pupiless, pure green orbs, as were the eyes of the vast majority of ents. Hanikaro nodded, realizing that the ent, while friendly, was a bit irritated at being awakened from his slumber. "My apologies, friend. You may return to your rest. The summon dissapeared as quickly as he had came, the same cloud of white smoke appearing with his departure.
