Kirigakure no Sato - The Bloody Mist.

Kirigakure, Naito. [Shodai Mizukage]
Utake, Rumiko. [Nidaime Mizukage]
Nagato, Kiril. [Sandaime Mizukage]
Nakamura, Kaido. [Yondaime Mizukage]
Nakamura, Arashii. [Godaime Mizukage]

Quote :

Leadership in Kirigakure had a history of their leadership positions being seized in a primitive or deceitful manor. The infamous village was founded by two explorers and their crew. These two explorers were both trained in the ninja arts and because of this had the power to turn this untouched treasure into a populated paradise. The explorers and their crew began building a small village on this land; they built their central location deep in the misty forests of the island and had a small town on the shoreline to enjoy the beautiful ocean. The crew however, were all men and lacked the company of females. So a few of the crewmen travelled off their new home and began spreading the word of a tropical paradise. Many women began traveling to the island on a boat that the explorers had set up and in a matter of months, the population had expanded from approximately thirty men, to almost two-hundred men, women and children, families were starting to come here to start a new life. Many people knew of the island, most of them were looking to become citizens of the small village, but a notorious criminal, well trained in the ninja arts heard of this land too, and he wished to seize it. He and his organization of another fifteen missing ninja travelled to the land undercover but when they arrived at the village, mayhem and chaos was spread by the bandits and their leader. He wished to seize this land to himself; hidden in the mist would be perfect for him and his organization. The man slayed the two explorers who barely could put up a fight and the majority of the crew who didn’t wish to comply with the man’s rule were also made an example of. All the villagers stood before him as he slayed the two pioneers of this expending village. He told them his name as stood over his fallen rivals. His name was Kirigakure, Naito. Naito claimed the village for his own and gave it an official name, calling it Kirigakure.

Word continued to spread about Kirigakure, but its reputation was different to a potential paradise, it became known for a retreat for criminals. This was extremely appealing to those of the criminal underworld who were being hunted for their crimes. Soon the village was almost completely populated by the criminal underworld who actually were quiet efficient with how secure things were there. Naito in complete control of all the hostile shinobi that resided there eventually titled himself Mizukage, in the time where the Great Five Nations was formed. Naito ruled for almost three whole decades as Kirigakure’s notoriety sky-rocketed. However, Naito’s actions in the past would eventually come back to bite him, as the daughter of one of the two explorers eventually built up the skillset to face the criminal warlord. Her name was Utake, Rumiko. The kunoichi travelled to Kirigakure with her associates, among them a man named Nakamura, Mamōru and his wife Nakamura, Suzumi. These three shinobi along with a few dozen more overthrew Naito’s empire, Rumiko bringing him to justice with only a few swipes of her blade, she claimed Kirigakure for herself and her comrades, thus becoming the second Mizukage, the first female Kage in history.

Rumiko was young, but very wise; establishing the council of Kirigakure along with Mamōru, Suzumi and half a dozen other prestigious shinobi of Kirigakure, decisions began being made through the council as Rumiko brought Kirigakure to a prospering reign for the first time. Suzumi eventually fell pregnant with a son who she along with Mamōru named Kaido, the heir to the Nakamura clan. The Nakamura clans empress retired from the shinobi life and presumed a civilians life in Kirigakure. A young man however, under the name of Nagato, Kiril began flying through the ranking. Rumiko along with her comrades reached an older age but still seemed to have a tight grasp over Kirigakure, a positive one; but a tight one. Rumiko eventually passed from old age, but none of the councils elders wished to step up to the Mizukage’s position due to the fact that they too were old and didn’t expect to be alive for many more years. Mamōru who was head of the council at the time would recommend the young talents of Nagato, Kiril who they had kept a watchful eye on over the years to see if he was worthy when Rumiko finally passed. Little did the council know that Kiril had been backstabbing close friends and comrades to get the council to notice him, even killing comrades on missions and framing it on rival nations, coming home as the survivor being portrayed as a hero. Kiril accepted and took over the reign of Rumiko in a similar positive manor, although this too was just a front to the sinister acts Kiril truly would command shinobi to complete. Kiril was not afraid to make the hard decisions. He eventually aligned himself close with two younger shinobi one of them who was named Hanzori, Onmi and the second one being the son of the Nakamura clans royalty; Nakamura, Kaido. Kaido and Onmi showed promise in Kenjutsu fields but Kaido’s ability with Water Release techniques would remain unmatched due to his clan’s abilities he even surpassed his mother and father; who also eventually passed from old age along with the others of the council. Kiril eventually enlightened these two on how Kiril had achieved the ranking of Mizukage and the three of them would continue to do whatever was necessary to keep their reign going, but little did Onmi and Kiril know that Kaido had plans of his own. Soon discovering a prophecy to do with his future sons, he embarked to ensure everything went to plan, marrying and impregnating his wife Nakamura, Maya. The twins were born, their names Akira and Arashii; princes of the Nakamura Clan.

As the two boys breezed in the academy; Akira showing a distinct knack for the shinobi arts, getting ahead of his twin brother in no time as Kaido pushed for them to be put in the same Genin squad. Onmi who was now president of the council along with Kiril refused this request because of the emotional attachment the boys had for each other. This lead to Kaido finally taking action, scheduling a private meeting with the two, he quickly disposed of them both and would frame the third Mizukage’s death on his associate, Onmi and say Kaido struck him down in anger due to the death of the third Mizukage, Kiril. In truth, it was Kaido that killed them both. In under a week, Kaido had recommended himself to the rest of the council who agreed that he was the best option which led to the Nakamura clansmen becoming the fourth Mizukage of Kirigakure.

Chuunin Examinations soon surfaced and were to be hosted by Iwagakure at the time of war, Kaido beginning to form an alliance with the Tsuchikage, unbeknownst to the Earth Shadow that he too was a mere pawn in Kaido’s plans. His sons faced each other in the grand finale of the tournament, Akira being the winner however all three of their squad members made it to Chuunin. Kaido was now ready to undergo the real test of which son was the prophet, though he was almost positive it was Akira. So Kaido created what he personally called a simulation to test this, which involved the Kazekage of Sunagakure who was linked with Kaido, them being the only two who knew about the alliance. The ‘simulation’ however got out of hand, the Kazekage controlling Akira and having him kill his comrades to the point that Arashii had to fight his brother and take his life, thus making Arashii the child of Kaido’s prophecy, but he would never be the same again.

Years passed and Arashii was training with the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist and eventually received the rank but continued to be manipulated by his father, the Fourth Mizukage; Kaido. Kaido had planned out the massacre of the Nakamura Clan, the clan that he and Kaido were a part of, so that they were the only two members of the clan and could not be contested. Of course, taking his mother into perspective as well as the numerous other friends he had among his clansmen Arashii refused to take part in such a horrendous task and pleaded that his father didn’t either. However his father went through with it with the help of the other Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. Arashii in a fit of rage, managed to strike down every one of them, along with his father. But before Kaido’s demise he managed to cut his ties with Iwagakure and bring the nation to its knees ultimately leading in its destruction since he had agreed on doing so when he made a deal with the Kazekage, who the Tsuchikage had conflict with that led back to the death of the Fourth Kazekage. The death of his father moved Arashii into the position of Mizukage, being the fifth Mizukage of Kirigakure no Sato; the youngest Kage in history; his first decisions were to disband the Kirigakure council and lock up the six other swords of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist until he was to find people worthy of the title once more, and it was now when a true reign would seize Kirigakure, the reign of the villages most powerful Mizukage. The fifth Mizukage; Nakamura, Arashii.
