Akimaru was giving in to the temptation of his slightly egotistic, slightly bashful side of his bipolar personality. When his concious protested, he though to himself: "Well, it's about time I indulged myself a little!" A dark smile flickered onto Akimaru's face and his cheek muscles tensed. They even reddened slightly, as the more sane part of him was embarressed at himself. He threw his backpack flamboyantly onto his shoulder, and jumped out of his bedroom window, rather than using the sliding door. This was partly because he didn't want his mother to see him in this mood, and partly because he was feeling more adventureous today.

Normally when training Akimaru would find the quietest spot possible away from prying eyes but today he found the largest stretch of water inside the walls of Konoha, so plenty of citizens and fellow ninja would walk by and point, murmur and exclaim at the extent of Akimaru's relationship with his summon, Gamamaru. Akimaru had his summoning scroll in his backpack and he was on his way to his destination. It wasn't long before he arrived at the crystal clear water and walked out on to it, his head held high.

He was starting to attract attention, but he didn't really mind. In fact he was rather enjoying it. Biting the skin on his thumb and causing red blood to squirt and flow down his skin Akimaru slammed his hand onto the water below him with a loud slap and shouted; "Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" In a big puff of smoke, Gamamaru appeared under the water's surface, seeming huge but Akimaru was not afraid. Akimaru could relate to Gamamaru's size, being abnormally large himself. Akimaru saw Gamamaru as rather cute.

The appearance of Gamamaru could not be seen by most watchers, so some of the bafoons started to jeer and jest. This only spurred Akimaru on further, pulling up on metaphoric invisible strings with his hands, Gamamaru followed his command and leaped majestically out of the water, span around angelically, looking nothing like a fish, shot water out of his mouth at the now gobsmacked crowd and landed back in the water with a gentle splash. Smiling more than ever, Akimaru turned to face his crowd. They had seen enough.

Akimaru clicked his fingers and walked off of the water and back onto the land. It was on of his first training sessions with his summon, and he felt it couldn't have gone much better. He slipped his backpack onto his slightly sweaty shoulder and walked through the crowd gawping at him back home. There was total silence, barely anyone even seemed to breath. The world was still around him, he was in ecstasy.
