Since those who can perform one-handed seals are naturally good at what their talents, they are even capable of performing hand seals behind themselves, leaving the enemy oblivious to the ninja's next attack.

Description: A trait given to ninja who posses a natural talent for lighting manipulation and has trained thoroughly to improve their skill. Their power over the lightning element becomes so talented that the ninja is now considered a young prodigy in the lightning element. Because of this, the user's lightning attacks are 20% more destructive with their increased voltage and size.

Sasme was born to an average family twelve years ago, his father Takon was not a Shinobi despite at one point becoming a Genin, he’d soon found he wasn’t fit for it, and had elected to quit not long after graduating. His mother, Sayaki, was never a Shinobi nor did she ever even attend the Academy, she was a simple nurse in the hospital, so she had actually met quite a few Shinobi in her short time there, often in patching them up however. Despite both parents histories with Shinobi neither had ever intended on Sasme becoming one after he’d been born. Not that their plans had mattered anyway, due to some tragic circumstances that happen to fall in to place not long after her pregnancy.

During Sasme’s birth his mother due to too much blood loss, unfortunately lost her life, and nearly cost Sasme his, only surviving due to the luck of genetics blessing him with a strong constitution. Despite still having his son survive from the ordeal, his father, had not been half the man he was before, he had made the change from Shinobi to civilian because of the threat of losing those he cared about, so to have still lost his wife, disconnected him. From that, he could no longer look to his own son without an immediate thought of disdain, even though the doctors thought it a miracle he lived, he only thought it as a curse, and at the first chance he got abandoned his son at the orphanage, and left Konoha for good.

So there was a small baby, barely a few weeks old after having immediately lost his mother from sheer bad luck, losing his father due to a poor outlook on life and on his son’s life. Thankfully, the kindness of his elders, being the old couple who worked the orphanage, were nice enough to not tell him the truth about his family’s demise until he’d already joined the Shinobi Academy.

Unlike most orphans, who pitied their lives, or blamed everything on the world, Sasme took the initiative to work to better his chances not at getting adopted but surviving on his own. He knew that if he relied on others he’d never make it far, because he didn’t rely on himself to get anywhere, so even at the early age of five, he decided to attempt to enroll in the Shinobi Academy, not just because he wanted to be a Shinobi. No, he wanted the chance to learn to survive, and he knew that besides killing Shinobi could survive. After asking his guardians, the old couple at first were against it, but after Sasme told them how if he could do it on his own, than that could help others to learn to as well.

That had convinced them, so after a brief visit with the Hokage, he’d been enrolled in the Academy and had been emancipated to be allowed to live on his own, as well as an allowance in which he could use to live on. He was of course taught the most basic principles of spending and taught that the most important thing to do with money was to be frugal. Get the basics, what really mattered, and save whatever he didn’t have in case of emergencies. So he did, and to ensure he kept at it, he made himself a journal of his spending and how much he was given for each week, and eventually he was able to afford pretty much whatever he needed.

So now, fast forward from his terrible story of birth, to now, though things not had improved drastically, he know learned to fend for himself somewhat. Though his only job at the moment was attending the Shinobi Academy, he had been able to afford food and housing, on the amount he was given from the village. If ever there was a more determined child to make it on their own, he would have surely been proud of the way that Sasme was performing.

Since the time Sasme was five albeit at an increasing rate, he’d been going to the Academy to learn the ways of the Shinobi, though originally he just wanted to learn how to survive on his own, it felt like something wanted more. Something inside Sasme wanted to learn more and more every time he went to class, so what had started out as just a plan turned into a goal. Learning to survive turned into, learning to hide, move swiftly, learn about his inner chakra, and about the heroes that would rise up when they needed to, or fall under the weight of expectations.

He’d been so quickly engulfed by a culture that was all around him growing up, though he’d never taken the time to learn about it until now, something that was deeply engraved in the family he never knew, had made its way into his life as well. This had been when others began to take notice as well, he was no longer just a singular person out to make his way through the world, he was in a class full of other students all with families’ backgrounds, history with Shinobi. Despite the fact he went in with a completely clean slate he now wanted it as bad if not more than the others who were with him.

His at tentativeness was probably the first thing that became common knowledge to the other students as well as the teachers there, he was quick to answer any question when asked, and could almost recite the entire lecture if needed. He took to heart the idea of working every day to try and increase his capacity for chakra, after they had been hinted that the older you get the more chakra you can use, and whenever you use more chakra your body’s capacity is worked out and stretched like a muscle.

So now, not only was Sasme a full on student at the Academy he was now determined to become the greatest Shinobi he could be, he would show that you can rise from anything to become a great person. What had once been an escape now became his life, when he was not studying, he was running, when he was not running he was throwing shuriken and kunai, when he was not throwing shuriken and kunai he was eating, and when he was not eating, he was sleeping of course!

Despite his tendency to avoid showing off or making sure he never shouted out an answer unless he was called on in class, many had already began to spread rumors about how skilled he was, and bets on him becoming the rookie Shinobi of the year whenever they graduated. This had also led to a lot of attention on Sasme, both from teachers and fellow students, though he definitely preferred the attention of the other students his age, it allowed him to branch out more and meet as many people as possible. Surprisingly a lot of the other students had actually asked him for help, to which Sasme happily obliged which only added to his popularity and continued to make him a better person.

Not long after turning Eleven, there was the one early run of Genin tests to see, if there was a prodigy or prodigy group among the coming year of Graduates from the Academy. The difference in the normal test and the early run was that, all of the jutsu had to be done in a practical combat simulation instead of simply in front of a proctor. The ability to do that without losing your composure or thought process was to be what the next several months of class was actually supposed to be on exclusively, however should someone already be skilled enough to do so, they could be placed on a team as a replacement whether it be due to skill or death.

Sasme had been the only one to pass the early run of the exam, no surprise to the students who were all sure that he would pass easily, but it had surprised all of the examiners, not that he’d passed, but his history. He literally came from nothing, an orphanage, he never even wanted to be a Shinobi in the first place, but fell in love with it, he had no extra help, but had actually been helping other students in his spare time when he wasn’t literally destroying himself to become stronger every single day.

It just did not seem plausible that someone would work that hard with simply motivation from himself that he just wanted and needed to do it. Yet he did, and not only did he do it, but he did it at such a high level that it seemed insane, this boy, many of the teachers thought would be capable of great and terrible things. He was simply the rare type of talent that is often said to come around only once in a generation, and he had apparently decided to be a little early, as he had not even be assigned a team or sensei, when he was causing rumors to be started that he was going to be a super prodigy.

Despite passing the early exam at eleven years old, it was at the rare time that no team needed a replacement from death, or early retirement, so unfortunately Sasme was again put in an odd position. He was of course offered the chance to return back to the Academy for the following months, but immediately denied the offer, saying he’d like to spend the time on his own, trying to find a Jounin to apprentice under. Though he became a strong believer in team work during his time at the Academy, he also felt like he could do so much more than what he had previously shown.

So now, Sasme, having fought against every trial thrown his way, now has to combat a few more, but with some new tricks up his sleeve surely nothing will stop him from achieving his goal. At this point however, he knows that learning is the most important step for him in attaining the next level, so all he has to do now, is find someone willing to help him with that small issue.

The items themselves are unaffected by time.
