| Tamashii, Gin.THE INFO. Name: Tamashii, Gin Nickname: Age: 13 Gender: Male Appearance: A boy with a slim build from viewed while clothed; slightly muscular, in reality, he has a lightly tanned skin complexion. His brown hair is cut short and allowed to spike out similar to a spiky-mop haircut. His eyes are a brown color which match his hair color perfectly. His eyes only draw in attention from onlookers when they seem to narrow and glare in seriousness.
Gin usually wears a blue robe that drapes down on the back. His robe is tied at the waist by a red sash. He wears white linen pants with blue shoes to match his robes. He wears a holster for equipment and weapons around his waist, beneath the red sash he wears as a belt. Usually in this standard attire of his posture is straight for this is what he considers his everyday wear. He would wear his forehead protector high on his arm.
When wearing all black attire; black robe with a cowl, long black linen pants and black shoes to match. He prefers this combination when on what he calls “Serious Business”. While wearing this, his posture is crouched low, or any form of attention avoidance. This is his battle wear for when he is out on personal business or missions, whether they require battle or not. He would wear his forehead protector on his head only when wearing this attire.
Forehead Protector: Gin’s forehead protector is in the form of a bandana that covers the entire top of the head. Personality: Gin is a determined boy when it comes to his goals whether short or long term. Kind at heart and considerate to those who he believes deserves such treatment. He states he has two alignments; neutral-good, he is open minded when it comes to doing the right thing for those who can’t defend themselves and who hold goodness in their heart, it is his ‘soft spot’.
His second alignment would be a mix between chaotic and lawful neutral for those who are evil, commit crimes and don’t regret their ill indented decisions. He is able to hold his himself, but when it comes down to dealing with a sinful menace, Gin wouldn’t take simple but quick steps in dealing with the problem and bringing the evil-doer to justice either alive or dead. He admits his decisions on dealing with bad people are moved by his feelings, mainly anger, but he does not regret it nor what he does to the person, such as a swift punch to the face.
Gin enjoys company from others, mainly friends and those who have good intentions. He prefers peace and quiet rather than loud noises that block out every other sound, which he calls a large distraction. His temper quickly rises whenever defenseless people are picked on physically or verbally. It bothers him to see the innocent harmed in anyway, and he believes a solution to such a problem would be one of two things, diplomacy or force. If it is impossible to talk to someone who is committing a crime, then he strongly believes a swift punch to the face would be the only solution.

THE NINJA. Origin: Hi no Kuni Affiliation: Konoha Rank: Genin Specialities: Weaponry [Main: Long Range; Secondary: Close Range], Ninjutsu Elemental Affinities: Fuuton, Katon Combat Style: Gin is patient to strike like a predator, but once within the battle, he is quick to strike, believing every second spent allows the table to turn towards the opponent. Even though he would use lethal moves and equipment to dispatch his opponent, he would prefer to bring down the opponent to a near death state rather than waste a life. He uses the area around him to his advantage while keeping his opponent in his sight, which he sees as the center of the battle field. Out of sight or constant movement in battle is his strategy. Because he prefers quick strikes and concealment, basically 'Hit and Run', what he lacks is consistent heavy damage, whether it's hand to hand, jutsus, or weaponry, it isn't a way he prefers, but that of precision. Close range is close to last resort, as for long range, it allows him a chance to keep distance and concealment, and sure way to his 'Hit and Run' strategy. Special Characteristics: Combat Based:

Name: Enhanced Accuracy Rank: C Type: Physical Prerequisites: The Character must have Weaponry as one of their Specialties. Training: A 600 word training is required to gain this special characteristic. Restrictions: - Description: A skill gained by ninja who have begun to specialize in throwing weapons. From a combination of practice and natural talent the ninja starts to acquire an enhanced accuracy which allows them to hit multiple targets in precise locations along with hurling multiple weapons at once with greater speed. On top of this, they are able to analyse and roughly predict the trajectory of a weapon targeted towards them and from there interrupt its path by accurately hurling a similar weapon at the intended threat.
Name: Navigator Rank: C Type: Mental Based Prerequisites: - Training: A 600 word training is required to gain this special characteristic. Restrictions: - Description: The ninja gains a unique skill which allows them to have a natural sense of direction and placement. They always know what time it is, what direction they're facing, and even the temperature. With this skill they are exceptionally good at geography, being capable of identifying landscapes while others would be at a loss. They can essentially survive in any environment and always find routes to their destination.
Name: Improved Perception Rank: C Type: Mental Based Physical Requirements: N/A Training Requirements: A 600 word training post is required to gain this special characteristic. Description: The ninja trains their skill in perception and analyzing their environment to more distinct levels. Most physical motions are identified and picked up by the ninja whether its a movement in a leaf or a change in temperature. This skill is handy when faced with Genjutsu as it allows the user to identify the fact they are in an illusion in less time and with less clues than one would otherwise need. However although they can sense the Genjutsu they must rely on other methods of breaking the spell. The ninja also becomes extremely perceptive and observant when it comes to people, being able to pick out mood changes or better understand character. In addition, this skill becomes useful in combat, where the Ninja grows to understand the patterns, habits and the 'rhythm' of the opponent over periods of time.

Name: Animal Speaking. Rank: C. Type: Social Based Prerequisites: - Training: A 600 word training is required to gain this special characteristic. Restrictions: - Description: A rare characteristic that one develops which allows them to understand and communicate with animals. Verbal exchange is common amongst those with this ability as the user will literally alter their voice to mimic the animal their speaking to as a way of communicating. More advanced people are even capable of feeling the emotions and pain of animals as well, although that requires physical contact. Animal Speaking is a very useful skill because they can manipulate animals to accomplish tasks, such as acting as scouts or gathering information they have already witnessed. Animals that serve as familiars to specific clans or people such as Kakichu Bugs, Inuzuaka dogs or summons, cannot be controlled due to their loyalty to their owners.
THE BACKGROUND. History: Tamashii Gin was born to farmers who cared more about their work, cattle, and their family rather than anything else in the world. Being in the country side, life was peaceful and sort of boring which was wonderful for Gin. He enjoyed working with his father on the field, whatever the job/chore was. For his free time, Gin would bird-watch, mainly owls in the middle of the night. He always found them interesting. Unique to the rest of the avians, silent hunters of the night.
One day, a neighbor of theirs had come running, bloodied, asking for help. She was in panic while saying there were ninjas hunting her family down. Gin’s father ordered the mother, the neighbor and his son to keep within the house while he tend to the problem. He had equipped himself with a pitchfork and fought against a rogue ninja that had snuck onto his farm. With tactical knowledge, Gin’s father used his surroundings to his advantage and ended up trapping the rogue ninja under a mountain of corn from the silo, suffocating him and ending the threat.
The family soon realized that the ninja had killed the neighbor woman’s family; her husband and daughter that Gin had once played with. Feeling distraught and depressed for months, Gin decided to travel to Konoha, the country’s ninja village and learn the way of the shin obi in order to strengthen himself and protect those who can’t do so for themselves. His father and mother accepted his decision. After packing his clothing, Gin was driven by horse carriage by his dad to Konoha which had taken a few days.
Gin applied for the academy soon after making a home of Konoha. He was eager in learning combat and after the first few days of lessons, Gin realized when it came to being a ninja, it was much more than fighting, and even in fighting, there was more to it than striking at the opponent head on. It didn't discourage him, but furthered his interest. He wanted to be a strong protector like his father is and more so.
Roleplay Sample: Tamashii Gin peered through the shrub. He watched the lone wolf that has been roaming the foresting, scaring the locals and eating the sheep. The young genin slowly drew threw shuriken. He waited until the wolf looked in the complete opposite direction before jumping out of the shrub and throwing the three shurikens. Two manage to hit before the wolf yelped and turned about to view his foe.
Gin, lost the element of surprised and seeing that the wolf wasn’t going to try and run, gave him the reason to switch to plan B. He dashed behind a tree and ran up another one to hide himself in the cluster of branches. What he didn’t expect was that the wolf managed to climb the tree trunk with ease. The ninja jumped onto another branch from a neighboring tree. He tossed a smoke bomb at the branch between him and the wolf, covering the line of sight, he then quickly pulled out a windmill shuriken and tossed it. It spun and soared through the smoke, surprising the wolf as he emerged from the smoke on the other end and slicing the beast in half.
Gin landed on the grassy floor below before observing the dead remains of the troublemaker. He let out a breath of air he had held in. Afterwards, he began gathering his shuriken, including the larger one before packing up and returning back to the village. The day was long when it came to tracking the beast, and upon fighting against it, it was over in a minute or so. The climax to a goal is always the quickest.
THE ARSENAL. Academy Jutsu

Name: Bunshin no Jutsu Clone Technique Rank: E Type: Genjutsu Range: N/A Medium: Optical Element: N/A Description: This technique creates identical clones of the user. However, they hold no actual substance and will disperse upon impact of an attack or contact with an opponent. They cannot disrupt the area around themselves with their movements; won’t kick up dust, crush grass, etc. They are simply optical illusions used to momentarily fool others. Chakra Cost: 1CP per 5 clones
Name: Henge no Jutsu Transformation Technique Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique transforms the user’s appearance to that of another object or person. However, it is not a permanent transformation and a mental image of what they are transformed into. Certain aspects of a ninja will not change merely by transformation, these things may include injuries, tool pocket placements etc. The jutsu will dispel should the user be injured. The user does not gain the properties of their transformation (ie. horse like strength), and may only transform into something ranging between 1/2 of their regular size, to 2x their regular size. Thus one cannot transform into large creatures. Chakra Cost: 1
Name: Kawarimi no Jutsu Body Replacement Technique Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: 10 meters Element: N/A Description: After performing a tiger seal, this technique allows the user to alter places in a speedy manner with another nearby object. This is done mere seconds before an attack lands, thus making the attacker believe his or her attack was a success. Whatever object was used to alter places will receive the brunt of the enemy’s attack instead. The object that the user switches with must be preset somewhere else in the thread, meaning that the object must have received specific mention previously in the thread. Chakra Cost: 2
Name: Explosive Tag: Activate Rank: E Type: Fuuinjutsu Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique allows the user to activate an explosive tag they have planted somewhere. Preferably they should be within close to mid range and visible to the user. You cannot activate another persons explosive tags unless your chakra has been channeled into them beforehand. Chakra Cost: 1 (per 3 explosive notes)
Name: Kai Release Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: N/A Description: By stopping the flow of chakra in their body, and then applying an even stronger power to disrupt the flow of the caster's chakra; the user may dispel the effects of a genjutsu. This can also be used on another individual that is stuck in a genjutsu by preforming the necessary hand seal and then touching them, although it consumes half the chakra cost of the Genjutsu. Name: Nawanuke no Jutsu Escaping Skill Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique allows the user to free themselves should they be tied up. It is extremely basic. Using their physical training, the user will twist and contort their body to loosen their bindings, effectively relieving themselves of the tightness of their bindings and slipping through the restraints. This technique can only be used if the user is of equal or higher rank than their captor. Chakra Cost: 1
Name: Chozou no Jutsu Storage Technique Rank: E Type: Fuuinjutsu, Supplementary Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: N/A Description: A simple jutsu that allows a ninja to seal or unseal any item, mostly weapons, from scrolls or from their body. After forming the necessary handsigns, the ninja will seal the item into a scroll etc. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons or have other seals inside of them, which expands the number of potential tricks a shinobi can use. The items themselves are unaffected by time. Ninjutsu can also be stored in scrolls, to be released when the scroll is opened, but require another person to cast said Ninjutsu; else it cannot be sealed. Chakra Cost: 1 to seal; 1 to unseal.
Name: Suimen Hokou no Waza Act of Water Surface Walking Rank: D Type: N/A Range: N/A Element: NA Description: This technique allows the user to balance themselves on water by focusing a constant and steady stream of chakra to the user’s feet or hands. Because of water’s nature, this requires the user to be quick to adjust the amount of chakra they must emit to their feet in order to maintain a constant balance. Users may also walk, run and “skate” across the water when using this technique. Chakra Cost: 1 (1 per post)
Name: Kinobori no Waza Act of Tree Climbing Rank: D Type: N/A Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique allows the user to balance themselves on trees and vertical walls by focusing a constant and steady stream of chakra to the user’s feet. Gravity can easy be defined if this technique is mastered, allowing people to even stand upside down. If too much chakra is exerted the user will be pushed away; bark breaking and causing the user to then fall. If not enough chakra is exerted the user will lose their footing and fall. Chakra Cost: 1 (1 per post)
Konoha Specific Jutsu

Name: Burēdo no Ha - Blades of Leaves Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0 - 5m) Element: - Description: Burēdo no Ha is a ninjutsu technique utilizing leaves. By using the leaves that are scattered across the ground in the surrounding five metre radius, the user is able to lift ten leaves by using chakra alone and launch them at their opponent. If contact is made, the intended target will suffer from small scratches that the leaves have to offer. The technique will only be able to lift ten leaves at a time, it's also not strong enough to kill, only to scratch the flesh to the point of blood being drawn. Chakra Cost: 4
Weaponry Jutsu

Name: Kage Shuriken no Jutsu - Shadow Shuriken Technique Rank: D Type: Weaponry Range: Mid (5m - 10m), Far (10+) Element: N/A Description: It's an extremely simple technique where two shuriken, like the Fuma Shuriken, are piled one onto another and thrown simultaneously. However, depending on the way it's used, it can prove its absolute efficiency. The trick is to somehow draw the enemy's attention towards the upper shuriken. Then, to deal with the path of the lower shuriken. If the enemy notices both shuriken, the technique ends up losing all of its efficiency. Chakra Cost: 3
Name: Ayatsuito no Jutsu - String Reeling Technique Rank: D Type: Weaponry Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: N/A Description: Ayatsuito no Jutsu is a technique utilizing wire. This string can be used in rappeling, or as a method to tie down and restrict the movement of an opponent. The properties of the wire also allows the user to guide fire down it with any number of Katon Jutsu.
Name: Hitei Mushou - Flying Nail Mist Pierce Rank: C Type: Weaponry Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Description: After forming the needed handseal, the user will emit a flying mist of small nails from his or her mouth. These small nails can travel towards his or her opponent at quite a distance and are capable of dealing minor puncture wounds. Chakra Cost: 7
Name: Supin - Spin Rank: D Type: Weapons Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: Taking a throwing weapon, senbon and kunai generally working best, the user throws the weapon with a slight spin to it, akin to a bullet. The spin stabilizes the thrown weapon, increasing it's effective range and power. For example, a kunai thrown at long range would hold accuracy and damage close to that of being thrown at mid-range. Chakra Cost: 3
Name: Gyorai Shin - Torpedo Needle Rank: C Type: Weaponry Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: N/A Description: Removing nails from his or her pocket, the user will throw them into the air and then plant them tip first into the earth. Using his or her chakra the nails will travel into the ground. Then at his or her discretion, he or she can fire the nails from the ground through the feet of his or her target to nail them in place. He or she can then fire the remaining nails from the ground to cut his target to pieces. Chakra Cost: 7
Katon Elemental Jutsu

Name: Endan - Fireball Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: Katon (Fire) Description: Katon • Endan is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Fire Element. After doing the necessary hand seals, the ninja draws chakra to their lungs before swiftly exhaling it, allowing them to blow a jet of fire from their mouth. Depending on the rank at which it is performed, Endan ranges in size and heat. Starting at a moderate level of heat and a reach of up to 3m, at D rank, and increasing in temperature to an intense heat and up to a 10m reach, when performed at A rank. Chakra Cost: D: 4 (1 per post)
Name: Goukakyuu no Jutsu - Great Fireball Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: Katon (Fire) Description: Katon • Goukakyuu no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Fire Element. The ninja does the necessary hand seals, draws chakra from their mouth into their chest and them immediately exhales it. They then blow a stream of fire which erupts into a large sphere of flames. To better manage the flames the ninja will bring their hand to their mouth to control it. Chakra Cost: 5 (2 per post)
Name: Housenka no Jutsu - Mythical Fire Phoenix Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: Katon (Fire) Description: Katon • Housenka no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Fire Element. The ninja does the necessary hand seals and then emits a series of small fire balls. The ninja can also hurl a projectile which is covered in these same flames. To the opponent the attack appears to be only the balls of flame, they do not see the hidden threat within the flames. Meaning that even if the flames are put out, the projectiles still converge on the target. The flames can be used to cover different projectiles like shuriken or kunai. Chakra Cost: 5
Name: Ryuuka no Jutsu - Dragon Fire Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Katon (Fire) Description: The user breathes fire along a cord or any other type of long object, which rushes forward in straight line catching the enemy on fire. The flames are meant to target, and assault the enemy's upper body just like a projectile weapon. Chakra Cost: 5
Name: Kasumi Enbu no Jutsu - Mist Waltz Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Katon (Fire) Description: After performing the necessary hand seals, the user is able to create and blow a flammable gas from their lungs. Once it comes in contact with fire or sparks, the gas ignites into a large fireball. Chakra Cost: 8
Fuuton Elemental Jutsu

If used by a superior shinobi, it has enough destructive power to knock down a large tree. The wind from the squall can blow away all things in the user's line of sight. A variation of the technique involves a smaller blast of wind which gets ignited with flame. Chakra Cost: 9 Name: Kami Oroshi - Godly Wind from the Mountains Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Fuuton (Wind) Description: The user will generate a whirling vortex of wind which he or she can send snaking towards his or her target. This wind can be used to help cause an explosive blaze when used with certain fire and earth techniques. Chakra Cost: 7 (2 per post) Name: Reppushou - Gale Wind Palm Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m), Far (10+) Element: Fuuton (Wind) Description: Fuuton Reppushou is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Wind Element. After forming the needed hand seals, the user will send a strong gust of wind towards his/her target. When acting in conjunction with another thrown weapon, the wind can increase its power and deadliness. Chakra Cost: 5 Name: Fuuton Bunshin no Jutsu - Wind Clone Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Fuuton Description: Fuuton Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes wind to create a Bunshin clone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Fuuton Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target, but none utilizing chakra. The range of the clone is limited however, it can travel no further than 10 meters from the original body. If the Fuuton Bunshin is injured, the clone will disperse with a gust of wind. Chakra Cost: 7 (Per clone) Restrictions:

Name: Yugure Nickname: N/A Age: 7 Species: Tawny Owl Appearance: Yugure is a young male owl that stands 15 inches with a wingspan of 33 inches. Having brown plumage of feathers from his head to most of his body with a white underbelly and white legs. He has a large round head with no ear tufts like some owls. Has a facial disc surrounding dark brown eyes. When perched, he looks to be compacting himself to gather more warmth. Personality: Yugure is silent as most owls are. He mainly keeps to himself and prefer no company unless it is with Gin at chosen times. He enjoys flying at chosen times when it is most quiet, preferably during the night and at dusk before the sun fully rises. Even though he is a bird of prey, he enjoys eating berries, but not as much as rodents, bugs, and sometimes smaller owls. Yugure is mainly passive and avoid conflicts. He enjoys hooting lowly during his own time when perched by himself. A loner at heart and he prefers it that way some times. - Picture:

| Hello there!
Your app is looking promising so far, but I'd like you to review the following things:
General:
- Please add [Konoha Genin] to the topic title
- At the very top, you forgot to replace the large "LAST NAME, FIRST NAME" with your character's name.
- Please fix your paragraph spacing in your appearance personality (add another hard return between the first and second paragraphs).
- Your roleplay sample is 10 words below the minimum word count requirement for genin, so please add more.
- Your history is a decent length, but I feel you should talk about Gin's academy experience since he's a genin. It doesn't need to be much, but please include it.
Appearance & Personality:
- While they both include a good amount of information, I would rather you try and expand a bit more on these two sections. A good rule of thumb is to have two solid paragraphs. Since your first paragraphs for both are already good, try expanding the second to include a bit more information. If you're having trouble, perhaps think of explaining his attire choices (for appearance), for example.
The Ninja:
- For weaponry, please specify which two ranges you'd like in the format of [Main; Sub]. The first is the range you'll be able to choose a weapon for that will be equal to your rank, the second you'll only be able to keep weaponry that is one below. It also determines the types of techniques you're able to use based on the weapon ranges and types of weapons you have.
- Sound release is not an elemental release of its own that you start with. The elements you include here are two of the main five (Katon, Suiton, Doton, Fuuton, Raiton) since you're not part of an advanced release clan. Sound release is a sub-element that becomes available to you as a wind user once you reach B rank, but isn't required to be listed on your app.
- Your combat style could use a bit more. What are his weak points, and/or how does he deal with/cover for his weaknesses in combat?
Arsenal:
- You have two genjutsu in your app but don't have genjutsu as a specialty. At C rank you're unable to have techniques outside of your specialties (not counting academy techniques), so please remove these from your app.
- Excluding the genjutsu, I counted 10 jutsu - you're able to add 5 more. It's not mandatory, just recommended since you'll have to earn funds through roleplaying in order to purchase any jutsu you want after being approved.
- The purchasing part also goes for weapons. You'll have to include the weapons you want to use in your app, so please make sure to include them, following the appropriate limitations and guidelines for them.
That's all that I see for now. As long as you fix these, I can give you your first approval. |
