Despite his rather handsome features, most people that look upon him see him as austere, ethereal and quite cold when they first look upon him. Ice white eyes draw you in, threatening to compromise the sanctity of your thoughts, holding you steadfast in their penetrating shimmer as if they could discern your entire being. Long raven black hair, which hangs loosely, falls just below his shoulder blades and frames a rather youthful face that shows the slightest hints of stress underneath the eyes. Standing at approximately 5’6” (177cm) and weighing in at 164 lbs. (74kg), he isn’t physically intimidating, but he remains formidable even if not in stature. His muscularity is rather lean with his legs being just slightly thicker than his upper body. His civilian clothing varies from day to day, but he can usually be found in a pair of jeans and a V neck tee shirt in any variety of colors, much like the young man himself, his clothing choices are always minimalist, with a touch of class and thought, however he has an impeccable black three piece suit with a deep crimson necktie for more decadent affairs. For missions and combat situations near Konoha he wears the traditional Hyuuga attire which consists of a pair of black cargo pants that stop mid-calf and hang loosely, a white gi, a pair of ninja sandals, and a long, thin black cylinder that is fastened to his back. When he is traveling or outside of the village walls, he wears the same outfit fit except that the leather case is in one of his pouches and a beautiful and intricate black scabbard graces his right hip fastend in place and readily removed at a moments notice. Who you are is the only thing you can truly ever know.Like many teenage males, Hodaka is still developing from a boy into a young man, and as with many adolescents, he goes through bouts of rash child-like thinking and actions, irresponsibility, laziness, intense frustration, and the ever present, priming male libido. Few things keep his attention for more than a few weeks at best; the art of swordsmanship, becoming a more effective ninja, expanding his understanding of Jyuuken and pushing the bounderies of chakra application, these are the constant things that circle Hodaka’s brain constantly, everything else that comes in bounces around for a while before it becomes white noise. This can cause Hodaka to appear aloof and unfocused; when in fact he has devoted his entire effort into mastering these five things. He loves the people that dread him the most, because they have his trust and he trust so very few people. Being in one of the noble houses of Konoha dictates that a certain standard of conduct is adhered to, so Hodaka can filibuster with the best, even when caught off guard. Especially with strangers and in the view of the public eye Hodaka is always respectable and quite charming when it suits him. Adults that meet him believe him to be honest, composed, responsible, and insightful at first blush, easy to get along with and very agreeable, the ideal adolescent. However, the exact same people that think this have no clue whom the young man, and he prefers it that way, for if you can’t see past the mask, he has already deemed you unworthy to get to know him, and he will more than likely not even bother to learn your real name. To those that know him personally, Hodaka can be a bit hard to deal with, especially from an emotional and stand point. Compassion is not one of his strong suits by far, he is judgmental, hyper critical, demanding, a bit callous when it comes to personal feelings not out of spite or ill intent, but simply because he tries not allow emotional stimuli dictate any of his decisions or reaction. He lives somewhere else despite his actual physical presence on the planet, somewhere in a land of theory where the boundaries are constantly shattering and giving way to possibilities that only he can see and he is forever reaching to attain what is just beyond the walls of his mind and what he knows to be true and he wants to drag you along for the ride, and the ride can be quite ridiculous. If he is training or doing anything to further his passions, you can pretty much forget about communicating with him until it is over, you can either watch or leave. For how hard and critical he is of others, he is twice as tough on the few people he considers his friends, and infinitely harsher on himself. Yet despite all these things, and the constant frustrations that come with actually knowing him, there are times when you can be crumpled on the floor crying, and Hodaka will find you, sit down and tell you something about yourself that you yourself may have forgotten, a small detail that seems so insignificant that you expect no one to remember. It makes you feel as though you are the only person he has ever known, and in these moments, when the human being within outshines the genius, this is why you still call him friend. Which he will promptly ruin by telling you to stop crying because he has a theory he wants to bounce off of you, or a movement concept he wants to try on you. Since he is not particularly strong, he uses speed, reaction, agility, deception, precision and anticipation to defeat enemies. Above all these skills, his offensive imagination is most formidable. His hand to hand fighting style is not particularly aggressive, and he uses this to throw off the timing of others when he uses his highly aggressive sword style, however to date, he has only fought with the blade still within the scabbard which doesn’t kill, but can dislocate joints and break some of the weaker bones in the body. This coupled with his a view of nearly 360 degrees within 50 meters makes him quite the handful. While his physical ability is outstanding; his mind needs much sharpening and proper guidance in order to truly fulfill his potential. However, his defense, especially against long range ninjutsu is next to nothing, having only his speed and Hakkesho Kaiten, which he could only use twice a fight in his current state. If he feels he has the upper hand in a situation, he can become over zealous and start behaving recklessly and making mistakes. | THE BACKGROUND.
History:- Spoiler:
Hodaka was born to a loving and devoted mother and father on July 6, weighing in at just over 8 pounds, he came screaming into the world. His father was a diplomat of Konoha named Hizen and his mother, named Tsuki, whom worked as his aid within the offices.The boy was healthy and happy, his motor skills and intellect developed normally, and he was showing signs of being physically ready for training at around age 7. Basic ninja skills and Jyuuken came natural to the boy and he excelled, actively participated and asked questions that would sometimes baffle his tutors about the principals of the what he was learning and if they could be used differently. His curiosity ran wild and unchecked, and he was left a lot of the time outside of tutoring to experiment, which culminated in him trying to walk up a waterfall to no avail, but he was so excited to know the answer to one of his question that he continued to try and see if his ideas worked.
However when it was time for him to show up for his Ninjutsu lessons, he was always absent, and with both his parents busy in village affairs, he constantly missed the lessons despite the prodding of the tutors and his parents consistently for about 2 years. During one of his rare days off and in town, Hodaka’s father stopped in to check on how his lessons were going, only to discover the tutor drunk and flirting with one of the chambermaids, and his son gone. Furious, he demanded that the tutor find his son, however the man simply did not know where the boy was, so his father dismissed him in frustration. After fuming for a few hours, he sat patiently in front of the door, wanting an explanation for his son’s rude and ungrateful behavior.
Hoda came home and was immediately confronted by his father, whom was livid to say the least. Hoda quickly apologized and began to explain himself. He had already asked his father for permission to forgo ninjutsu to take up the art of the sword, but he may have asked him while he was too busy and his father gave him an answer without realizing the question. Hoda’s father nodded simply, he had an important meeting with the elders the next day, and it would be grueling to say the least so he simply patted his son on the head and headed off to bed. If he would have turned to look at his son, he would have seen him exhale very quietly, because he had just lied to his father about asking his permission. However, his father already knew that he lied, but decided that since he was furthering in his learning he could overlook it, besides, his sons fate would lie with the Clan elders, due to the fact that it was frowned upon to use swords due to a past event that threatened to ignite a clan war between the main and branch families.
The next morning Hoda's father went to the village elders to discuss what he had just found out about his son.
The Hyuuga’s were a strong and noble clan, and their history is vast, and stretches far past Konoha’s, and in the entirety of it there has only been one other swordsmen in the clans history, that same man, along with three others helped forge the alliances during Konoha’s founding. Not much record was kept of the man, however much record was kept on his skill which was only ever seen by the elders of the main family, it was said to be nothing short of sublime and that his battle and strategic prowess rivaled the head of the main family, some would say that it even dwarfed it. More to the point is that this man was born among the branch family members and his presences threatened to disrupt the balance of power and leadership within the Hyuuga Clan, which could in turn affect the presence Konoha held within the diplomatic community for the worse. It is not noted what happened to the swordsmen, even his death is a closely kept secret, and the ones that knew it are either dead or too old to tell it.
Hoda’s father stood outside of the elder compound for what felt like hours before walking back to his home. He sat his son down and firmly proclaimed that he was forbidden to ever pick up a sword, of course Hoda didn’t understand the reason, but he obliged to his father’s demands, or at least appeared to do so. The boy’s passion had caught fire, and in secret he snuck away at night and practiced his kata in the dojo while the village slept.
He had managed to successfully do this for about 2 weeks before he bumped into an odd visitor in the dojo. The man didn’t reveal his name, nor did he speak. He was dressed appropriately for kenjutsu training, standing approximately 5’ 10”with a slim build and silver hair and wrinkled features, but perhaps the most off putting thing was a single piece of crimson cloth that was wrapped across his head covering his eyes. Hoda was nervous, but something about the man suggested he held no malice intent, this was also helped by the fact that the man did nothing but simply begin to practice his own kata. This continued for a month until the man arrived one night with a basket of riceballs and tea for the both of them, and after a hard session they sat under the night sky and ate in silence. The man’s voice was calm and even when he finally spoke. “I believe that you should become my student, you will never grow without the proper guidance from a master.”
Hoda wasn’t fond of the idea, he knew absolutely nothing about this man besides that fact he both broke in to a dojo to practice kenjutsu 6 nights a week. But in his heart and mind he knew he would never get to where he wished to go without someone to show him the way, so reluctantly he agreed. Thus the eternal bond between student and teacher was formed and it grew strong as Hoda’s tutelage and knowledge and practices became more in depth. Eventually the bond grew beyond just the art of the sword and ventured into all aspects of life, and his questions were no longer answered with trepidation, but with counter theories and encouragement.
The First Step Of A Long Journey- Spoiler:
He was made a genin at age 12, graduating in the top 5 of his class, and his teachers fawning over him slightly. As a present, and as a way for them to spend time together, Hizen offered him a part time position filing paperwork and taking notes for him. This gave Hoda a deeper sense of responsibility within Konoha, and made him feel like his parents were beginning to accept that he was starting to grow up a bit. Over the last four years he has grown into a focused and driven young man, not for fame or for glory, but for his own personal standard of excellence and his ever probing curiosity. He manages to balance his office duties, missions and normal and secret training all in check, which causes him a certain amount of stress but he would have it no other way.
Roleplay Sample: Hoda could tell from her hesitation to come sit down that the young woman was sizing him up, but he paid it no mind as he listened to her speak. "W-Well... You should know enough about me to deal with me.... I guess I just want people to be straight-up with me. Perfect fallacies don't slide with me. I train myself to my physical brink every day. And... all I want is truth. My goal is clarity." Hodaka smiled as he made his way towards the bar and picked up a cup and poured sake into it, taking a deep sip. After he placed the cup down he walked back over to his chair and sat down facing the young woman, his white eyes hold her gaze firmly. She was very important to the village, and they valued her as an asset, but Hoda was more concerned with her wellbeing, and the relationship he would have with such a person. "I can only say I partially understand the life of a host, but the feeling of people never being forward, always trying to use you or hide their agenda's under the cloak of friendship. And no people do it more to you than the ones that are supposed to protect you." He said rather quietly still holding her gaze firmly with a slight sorrowful undertone in his voice. He sat back in his seat, placing his hands below his chin as he continued speaking, "If I wanted to just deal with you, I would just read your file and send you on missions without ever seeing your face. That it not what I desire, I want to look into your eyes and see you, in all your strength and weaknesses and see if you’re going to help or harm.", Hodaka stood up and walked over towards the door, opening it slightly. "Sou, clear my schedule for the rest of the day, I have a spar to attend to.", his voice echoed down the hall. "You can't spar today you have a meeting with the elders.", the woman's voice echoed back. Hodaka paused as he reflected on the dilemma, after a few seconds he called out again, "Tell them I am sorry and I couldn't make it.", and with that he closed the door and turned back to Kuro. "I also thirst for truth, but in these days, words that come from a person’s mouth hardly tell you about their intentions or their hearts." he spoke plainly as he took off his Hokage hat and cape, and replaced it with his usual white cloak with lighting down the back. He walked towards the window of his office and opened it, looking out upon the mountain faces of the Hokages that had passed before him. "Even from a young age I knew I never wanted to be Hokage, to much spotlight, too many people with their eyes on you, waiting for you to lead them.", his whites turned back to Kuro as he smiled slightly, "But my nindo demands that I do whatever is needed for Konoha, and if Konoha needs me to be Hokage, then it is the title I will take, but it is not what I am." Hodaka moved back towards his desk, and as he did his hair sprayed in the draft of wind that moved through the office, placing his hands upon its edge he spoke. "Kuro, as much as you can help the village, you could also harm it. I am under no illusion about the power you have, and I am also very aware of how you must feel about the elders that manipulate you, and the small minded villagers that look upon you with disdain.", Hodaka sighed, "The elders actually told me to leave you alone, but I am much to hands on to simply just leave things to chance. I called you here to see if you are going to be a ninja I can depend on that is stable and sane, or be an unstable threat I will have to remove." Hodaka moved towards the liquor once more and polished of his cup of sake, and poured another, "You are a person, and right now I wish to simply get to know you as much as I can so that I may trust you, and i wish for you to get to know me, so that you may put you trust in me as well. And seeing that within these walls nothing but formalities and hidden agendas pour out, I would like to fight you, nothing too serious of course. Description: The Gentle Fist (柔拳, Jūken) or Gentle Fist Style (柔拳法, Jūkenpō) is a form of hand-to-hand combat used by members of the Hyūga clan. It inflicts internal damage and disrupt the body's Chakra Pathway System so as to ultimately inhibit an opponent's use of chakra. To do this, the user surgically injects a small amount of their own chakra into an opponent's chakra pathway system. The infiltrating chakra can then be used to disrupt or divert chakra flow, preventing them from using jutsu.Targeting the Tenketsu can enhance the havoc and control a Jūken user can impose upon an opponent's chakra network. These special nodes, 361 in total, are key gate-keeping interceptions in the chakra circulatory network, thus forcibly opening or sealing them in whatever manner the Jūken-user sees fit is a powerful tactical option to have. Harming the chakra network in this way can directly damage internal organs due to their proximity to the chakra circulatory system. Emphasis: Speed, anticipation, awareness, and discipline are the basic requirements for any that wish practice this deadly and decisive style of sword play. However, intelligence, courage, imagination and commitment are needed to grow. No movement is wasted in this style, which is what makes this form of kenjutsu seem so move so suddenly. with practice it blends well with other forms of sword fighting.
Requirements: Improved Speed and Weaponry (Close Range)
Description: A specific style of kenjutsu that is concerned with the smooth, controlled movements of drawing the sword from its scabbard, striking or cutting an opponent, removing blood from the blade, and then replacing the sword in the scabbard. The linear motion and force applied to draw the sword from the scabbard results in slashes that are faster and stronger than ones executed with the sword already drawn. The speed at which these techniques can be executed — the initial strike in particular — is such, that when performed by a skilled user, it can prevent enemy shinobi from forming hand seals (and thus ninjutsu), by exploiting the small opening that these movements create. Master of this art are said to be able to end fights with a single strike.

While shadowing his/her opponent, the user will attempt to strike them from a vulnerable angle. If he/she is unable to make a clean strike, he/she will strike anyway as a feint, to draw his/her target's attention and defense to one area. The user can then strike the undefended area and begin knocking them downwards towards the ground. As the enemy falls back to the earth, the user will deftly rotate his/her body around to deliver a full force kick to their chest.

Byakugan gives the clan member an almost complete 360 degree view of their surroundings. This allows the member to see all angles of attack. Using the Jyuuken style, they can force their chakra through their hands into the tenketsu of the opponent's body through 32 strikes. First the clan member will strike 2 times, then 4, 8, 16, and finally 32. This damage forcibly closes 32 tenketsu, slowing the chakra flow of the opponent. Those who fall victim of this technique will consume 25% more chakra per jutsu for 2 posts. C-ranked ninja may find it difficult to avoid this attack, though higher ranked ninja may interrupt it by evading if skillful enough.

Description: Byakugan "White Eye" is a dōjutsu kekkei genkai of the Hyūga clan. This technique is the activation of the ability from the eyes previous dormant state. When activated the users lavender eyes become more focused, their pupils become more distinct, and the veins near their temples bulge. Byakugan gives the user a near 360º field of vision, except for one small blind spot at the back of the neck above the third thoracic vertebra. The second ability is being able to see through solid objects, and can use a degree of telescopic sight. The user is able to see into vasts distances in which a regular eye cannot behold. They are capable of seeing insects behind trees with distinct perception and look behind wall with the Byakugan's ability. The third and one of the greatest uses of the Byakugan is the ability to see chakra, chakra flow as well as the chakra circulation system inside the body with great detail. It is from this particular ability that they are able to employ their ultimate attack style: Gentle Fist. It was also noted that the Byakugan can also discern a transformation and a real person using the eye's ability to see chakra, as well as barriers. | Alright, so as far as your jutsu goes, you only have 11/15 that you are able to start with. Is this on purpose or did you just not notice that you had 4 more slots available?

- Please have your History seperated in spoilers, as you have already centered it and it's hard for me to read it like that. You could have every part in a spoiler and give the Spoiler its title. However, if you don't like spoilers, you can keep that like it stands at the moment.
- I would also like to see the "Hyuuga" text in your clan section to link to the clan page itself.
- Why don't you fill in your 4 slots? Those ones will no longer be free for you after your character is approved. Expanding your Arsenal is never a bad thing. You could include Shadow Shuriken and Shadow Senbon or any Konoha specific Taijutsu from the Encyclopedia. There are some interesting ones in there.
Other than that, I can't find any error. |

I normally see this jutsu as a B ranked jutsu. However, it looks fine as a C ranked jutsu so I'll let you keep it. I only wish that you specify the speed of the strike. I'd hate to see anything close to the same level of mastery as someone of a higher rank, such as Mifune or Sasuke (though he does not use this style directly, he's been seen using similar variations). So, I dont mind if you make this a ranging jutsu, with numerous ranks, but I'd like it to be obvious that the user (at C rank) cannot produce anything that is unable to be dodged; also, I know that this is not what you're going for, but in the hands of someone else, it could be abused. | I suppose I was just wanting you to specify how fast the sword draw was, seeing as you say that it was fast. However, upon closer inspection, it's probably fine. If issues arise with it later, we can always take another look, though I doubt they will. Sorry about the inconvenience.
