Shikigami, Jaki vs. Inuzuka, Yuuji

The Jounin Proctor stands at the center between Jaki and Yuuji. The proctor waits for a few seconds once both combatants appear ready to start. He raises a white flag high into the air for a second to acknowledge the beginning of the match. After three seconds he brings the flag down in a blur and yells start. The Jounin moves out of the way instantly to watch the match.

Yuuji

The Fox of Kohona

The next round after his last fight with Hitomi, Yuuji and Kazamaru stood five meters away from their new opponent, they didn't know who he was or what he did but they didn't care, they had no reason to hold back anymore, this isn't a friend they're dealing with. The genin in front of them was rather pale and tall, it didn't look like he weighed much either, it was clear that he wasn't a fighter of Taijutsu but looks can be deceiving they can't under estimate their opponent without knowing what they can do but he couldn't give him a chance or at least they would try not to give him one. "Right, Kazamaru we're not holding back at all, as soon as that flag does down, we're letting this guy have it." As he spoke quietly to his companion Yuuji dropped down onto all fours and waited for the match to begin already preparing his stance and activate it as soon as the flag goes down. "Let the match begin!" as soon as the flagged had dropped, Yuuji started to stretch the chakra around his body as he got into the usual Four Legs Stance which made his pupils thinner and look more wild and dangerous while he claws and teeth grew in length. With his strength, speed and endurance increased which only took a second or two due to his preparation before they set fourth on their attack.

As soon as the flag was dropped Yuuji and Kazamaru started dashing towards their opponent from the left and the right side, quickly and swiftly closing the five meter gap between them but before doing so Yuuji reached inside one of the bags on his belt before grasping hold of a smoke pellet between two of his fingers and throwing it towards the genin to obstruct his vision as soon as they reached the three meter mark, it was an easy shot. As the pellet reached contact with the ground and exploded into a thick cloud of smoke around the genin Yuuji and Kazamaru didn't have to worry about their vision being obstructed, all they had to do was get their scent which Kazamaru would have already picked up due to the fact that there aren't any other people to get distracted by and the same went for Yuuji, all he had to do was increase the chakra around his nose to know where the genin stood within the smoke. If all went according to plan with speed on Yuuji and Kazamaru's side, the gap was quickly closed at around two meters the pair leaped into the air towards the cloud of smoke as they both began to spin at a ferocious speed before the chakra surrounding Yuuji and Kazamaru was converted into flames, attacking from the right and the left side of the genin. Kazamaru being smaller, his attack remained closer to the ground aiming to take out Jaki's legs from underneath him and knock him into the air while Yuuji's attack was slightly higher in the air in level with Jaki's chest from what they could remember of his location by memory as well as having his scent to deliver a serious of powerful and blazing beast like strikes against him if the contact was made. The best idea was to stick close for the time being untill they can think of a quicker way to deal with this genin. This was Yuuji and Kazamaru's chance to show to everyone that the rumors were true that this boy and his companion were prodigies even if they were both much different, they had to win no matter what.

The Shikigami appeared in Round 1 after claiming his victory in the preliminaries. If anything, he learned that people are very interesting and have no intention on losing. It made him see that Konoha shinobi are usually surprising in one way, shape, or form. He looked onward to his new enemy with hopefully, mutual respect. Jaki had little time to examine the boy but he gathered some very pleasing intelligence. First off, there was a fox by his side. This did not faze Jaki; outnumbering Jaki was almost impossible. The way he saw it, a Shikigami could end a battle with a single sheet of paper so in reality, this is two against two hundred. He looked rough and rigid, and so did his canine friend. His canine friend appeared weak to Jaki but he assumed that Yuuji must having been thinking the same about the Shikigami paperweight body.

There was a unique confidence in Jaki, usually he walks around as if he already won but now there is a respect he has for other contenders. Still, he stood like a pompous elitist. His previous tactic worked; perhaps he should do it another time. The tournament was set up with no witnesses, no crowds (other than the proctors) so Jaki knew that no one would know about his tactic. No one would have been able to have a counter prepared for his tactic; this would put all the pressure on Yuuji in the matter of minutes. There was no external help for either of the combatants, but Jaki would use that to his own advantage. His arms were ready to rise up and display the prowess of the Shikgami once again. It would only take mere seconds for him. The power in his arms was tightening; flexing his muscles...a smile appeared upon his face.

Let the match begin!

He felt faster than the first time. Jaki’s arms shot forward, launching a flood of paper towards the Inuzuka and his comrade. Fifty single sheets of paper blitzed the Konoha duo. It felt good when the sheets of paper left his own body to complete a deed. It just felt right knowing that he was going to be able to end this battle, it became much more intimate. Fifty sheets of paper escaped the realm of his body ranging from his head to his toes. The sheets of paper acted as ants in an army pursuing the last cube of sugar in the garden. The thirst for victory was embedded in Jaki; he could not lose here. In a blink of an eye, the wave of paper had already met the halfway point between the two. The wall of paper was wide enough to allow Jaki time and space to maneuver from a counterattack, a tactic that he expected. A smoke bomb appeared from the hands of Yuuji and it was flung towards Jaki. The paper would reach it's target in seemingly in two seconds, the same pompous grin remained on his face as he leapt backwards to gain some space. The smoke could also help cover up the sheets of paper making his own Shikigami technique much deadlier. He took several leaps backwards to get into a safer location and maintain some distance from the duo. He stood about eight meters from the smoke cloud as he watched the cloud to see what would happen next. It only took one sheet of paper to latch on and subdue his target. If the duo were to separate, then thirty sheets would chase the genin and twenty would easily be able to subdue the fox until reinforcements arrived.

His red eyes pierced through the scopes of the paper watching his enemies. There were two, but he has hundreds. He never was alone and there was surely no way that he could lose to a Konoha shinobi. The ignorant, pompous grin of the angel, the herald was shining towards the genin.

Yuuji

As the paper suddenly appeared before Yuuji and Kazamaru, the two showed no signs of stopping their advance as they already had advanced enough to throw their smoke bomb It was clear that they couldn't dodge all fifty pieces of paper, but destroying them was simple enough as they were planning to attack anyway to do so. "Kazama!" Yuuji yelled before the pair decided to advance their attack much earlier than before after the cloud of smoke had appeared and Jaki vanished behind it. This still didn't matter the boy has foolishly cut off his own line of sight meaning he has no idea if his attack has landed or not. After all paper is paper, it might be slightly stronger due to the chakra but it can still be torn to pieces and it can still be set a blaze with this fact in mind the two used their forward momentum and lept into the air has they started to spin violently as the chakra in their lungs was converted into flames, breathing it out around them as they spun. The paper stood no chance as it was ripped to pieces by the furious attacks from the spin as well as it being weakened by the fire, the paper was useless and couldn't be used again and cutting off his vision if he could see by using the paper.

The two entered the cloud of smoke while still having a lock on Jaki's scent, it seemed like he was trying to escape further way and maintain his distance because his scent was getting weaker but they weren't going to allow it. Yuuji and Kazamaru suddenly emerged from the cloud of smoke as Jaki was taking his leaps backwards, the two were swiftly flying towards him like projectiles aiming in their original positions, there is no doubt he would notice before its too late due to his lack of vision. Kazamaru aiming towards Jaki's lower body while Yuuji was above aiming for Jaki's upper body aiming to deliver the powerful beast like strikes . Since Yuuji and Kazamaru's opponent seemed so smug and confident of his ability to end this quickly, he probably thought the yell from earlier was the boy screaming over his companion being caught before being silenced by the paper, but he would be mistaken and highly likely that he would be caught off guard due to his own ignorance.

The duo appeared from the smoke cloud as Jaki was continuing his backwards hurdles. Jaki was a collected and poise leader. He does not break under pressure and can come to a conclusion quickly in battle. Although, he likes to have all the facts before making a decision, he simply could not do that during a battle. The were two spinning at a high pace towards Jaki, but the Shikigami had gathered enough distance to allow maneuverability. The two were approaching and Jaki knew he had to get the timing right. He was able to accurately determine that the angle that the two were taking, it would be impossible for the duo to curve to hit him if he went with his instinctive plan. Jaki took a great leap backwards with the momentum he had. The hands of the Shikigami started to flutter as his legs started to disperse into paper and hastily reform into wings on his back. With his jump, the wings granted him the ability to hover above the ground. This would give him height so that the Inuzuka attack would promptly and completely miss.

The duo was awfully close to Jaki, something that he did not want and he knew he would need to make space. The two would only spin underneath Jaki for a moment so with that same instant, his right hand performed simple hand seals as his voice broke the silence of the battlefield. It must be difficult for the spinning genin to realize a jutsu was coming his way, spinning so fast he must have be able to see anything occurring around him. It was awfully quite for a battle, Jaki only imagined it would be like this on a real life or death mission. He yelled with all of his might, "Paper Hearing Technique!" The duo would be close enough that they could easily hear the technique being called; this would be their entry into the genjutsu. Jaki could not think of any reason why the duo would not be trapped but he was prepared anyways. As his mentor always said, 'Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.' Jaki was also arguably the most capable genjutsu genin user in Kumogakure. It sure would be a surprise for him to not be able to trap a foe in a genjutsu.

Jaki always looked to create space; if allowing himself too, he would drift backwards to safer location. The paper wings fluttered behind him, which must be where the noise is coming from.

Yuuji

The two were approaching like speeding bullets towards Jaki, they appeared when he was only six meters away from the smoke giving him little time to react but somehow he tried to create further distance as he took a leap back using his momentum. Unfortunately for Jaki, the attacks from Yuuji and Kazamaru were just over a few meters apart as Jaki's legs removed from his body and formed into large wings on his back and started to hover in the air but only a meter high which wasn't enough to escape the attack from Yuuji, but was high enough to miss the attack from Kazamaru as the fox now landed behind him once his attack had finished. Yuuji's attack was however now aimed towards Jaki's stomach since the attack was originally aimed at his upper body and his face, there was no escape from the predator that wanted to finish his prey. If only Jaki could've reached a higher distance than just a meter the outcome would of been different as both attacks would of missed as they went underneath him but Yuuji's Gatsuga attack started drilling into his opponent's body seeming to have the same effect from earlier, paper going into a blender as the powerful beast like strikes connected as the rotation continued before coming to an end with the attack successful as the two were now in the air. "I'm getting sick and tired of you already."

Kazamaru was standing underneath the two while they were now hovering in the air at a meter high, Yuuji keeping a hold of Jaki after his attack to abuse the fact that they're in the air before the fox started jumped in the air and started spinning violently towards Jaki, another ferocious attack coming his way. Meanwhile in the air Jaki should be trying to cope with the pain from the Gatsuga attack while giving Yuuji another chance to attack as his channeled the chakra into his right leg before digging the claws on his feet into Jaki's body to kick himself up into the air only about half a meter in the air but gravity would do its trick as Yuuji twisted his body to bring his right leg crashing down against the side of Jaki's rib cage to bat him down into the oncoming attack below which Kazamaru was performing while Yuuji landed safely on the ground about a meter away Kazamaru and Jaki believing that the fight would now be over.

His wings flapped pushing him away from the enemies taijutsu. Jaki could see the two swirling drills head towards him. The one aimed close to the ground was obviously going to miss but Jaki still had to take note of it. The other one was the one that concerned him. The projection of the taijutsu would show that the bottom half of his body would experience some damage. The Shikigami wizard wished that he pushed himself a little further up to get out of distance. In most cases, shinobi will brace themselves for an attack but not Jaki. He learned one thing and that was that taijutsu users are fierce and needed to be fought with the same intensity. He was already planning on using a genjutsu so a last second audible wouldn't be too difficult for him. With his hands already preparing to activate the genjutsu, he felt confident and knew that he had enough time to perform this technique. This technique was specifically created for taijutsu users. The genjutsu effect could not have been more perfect.

The top drill was getting closer and closer and the courage of Jaki would be tested. Would he wither away as a weed or blossom into a gracious flower? His thighs flexed awaiting impact. The drill that caused the spinning Inuzuka to rub himself all over the boy caused him some pain. His hands were prepared and he only needed one second of contact for the genjutsu to activate. He knew that the genjutsu would be activated. This genjutsu was made specifically for taijutsu users and for a moment like this. The shredder would grab Jaki and throw him across the map. Luckily for him, the Inuzuka must have gotten caught in that genjutsu. Unfortunately, it would cost him some damage. The boy hurled across the map with his wings trying to regain his balance. Even with the throw, Jaki did his best to keep his eye on both of the Inuzukas. It would only take him a few seconds for his wings to gain control of the flight and light glide him back down to 1.5 meters above the ground. It was time for action! His body heaved up and down. Good thing he did not need to put any weight on his wounds, and his mobility actually increased at this point. He also was higher so it'd be more difficult for him to get hit and allowed more time for him to react. He was at a good distance with ample time. The fox would be way too confused on what to do. ' ' Mind over Body wins again. ' His thighs were shredded and revealed to have more paper underneath. This time his wings held him above the ground higher than a meter. Jaki would never make the same mistake twice.

As the actions took place, Kazamaru utterly missed his attack as the fox stopped spinning and landed on the ground, looking up towards Jaki and Yuuji who were both in the air as Yuuji's attack connected with Jaki's lower half, each powerful beast like strike connecting as the rotation continued. Naturally the technique known as Gatsuga is strong enough to drill through stone, but the size of the attack wasn't very large, however Yuuji managed to find a way for him and Kazamaru to increase the size and strength of this attack. However before the rotation ended on Yuuji's attack while it was drilling against Jaki, the boy placed his hands into contact with the rotation, no doubt hurting himself even further but also managed to put Yuuji under the effect of a Genjutsu. Jaki was thrown across the air after the attack had finished but not far from him was Yuuji soaring through the air with the aid of the momentum from his attack, the pair were just only a second apart from each other and thats all the time Yuuji needed to prepare his attack. As Yuuji was soaring along the air with Jaki, he could hear the noise of paper fluttering, now just what was that noise he wondered before noticing the explosive notes on his body which made him grind his teeth together in annoyance. If Yuuji loses his distance from Jaki, it's all over but he wasn't going to let that happen, there is no way that his opponent would detonate the notes while the two were in close contact or maybe his aim was to take Yuuji out even if he was defeated. Jaki was trying to regain his balance in flight as he came to halt which mean Yuuji would too as Yuuji was coming towards him for another attack as Yuuji spread his chakra down towards his right leg, down into the shin area while he was soaring in the air and Jaki was the stopping point.

Yuuji twisted his body while in mid-air after channelling the chakra into his right shin and as soon as Jaki stopped mid-air, the boy brung his body round and drove his right shin with as much force as he could muster along with the aid of gravity, sending his right shin driving into Jaki's ribcage before he could recover, taking him out of the air. Meanwhile down below Kazamaru was watching this happened and followed every movement to be positioned underneath the two, seeing his master connect with the next attack the animals instincts kicked in. Kazamaru leaped into the air and began to rotate violently just as before, another Gatsuga performed solo, also known as the Tsuga when performed alone. As Jaki had been batted down from the air expecting to hit the ground, it was something far worse as he would come into contact with another devastating attack as Yuuji landed on the ground feet first to watch the attack happen.

Due to the fact that Yuuji never kai's out of the genjutsu (and therefore is only blinded), Yuuji never performs any other action after the Gatsuuga hits. He is now stopped right after the action which creates an opening for him or his opponent to act.

The initial damage was worse than expected. However, he managed to hold the genjutsu to activate it. The drilling tendril shredded his thighs and flung him across the map. This is arguably the most pain Jaki had ever felt in his life and there was reason to tear from the pain. Fortunately for him, he got the distance that he required to recover from such an attack. He simply could not brush off the pain. There was no room for anger in the battlefield, strong emotions always led to mistakes. His body heaved up and down realizing how close that really was. Perhaps the Shikigami had underestimated Konoha and taijutsu. A mistake he wish he never made, especially after hearing stories that ended dreadfully for the one who underestimated his opponent. How could he be such a fool?

His wings kept pressure off his thighs as little paper petals gently fell from the shredded thighs. He knew that the battle would need to end quickly, it was too close to call at this point. It must be Shikigami, Jaki to advance to the next round! The paper deity would not allow it any other way. There was not much time left, the flying paper boy had to succumb the pain and perform a final jutsu to win the match. He was certain at this point that he was going to win, it would take an extraordinary shinobi to break out of his superior genjutsu and evade the attack. The Konoha shinobi had no chance, even with his canine by his side. Both his hands pointed their index fingers towards the sky in a rush, paper gathered hastily from his shoulders as it quickly started to form into needles. The piercing power of these blades were immense and even slightly bigger than a normal katana. However, with his ability to control paper he also levitated the exploding notes from his pouch and promptly placed them on the needles. All eight of his paper tags were on these needles, there was no escape.

His ruby eyes turned into eyes of judgement similar to a Gods. His fingers shot down and pointed towards the Inuzuka immobilized by a genjutsu. The three tendrils hastily made their way towards the boy and his canine. One was aimed towards the boys chest and upper body, the other was aimed at his pelvis. The distance was great enough so the Inuzuka would have difficulty evading without feeling the blast of at least two notes. However, he did not forgot about that little canine friend. One of the tendrils went specifically for him to prevent him from assisting in any way. He knew he was quick enough to prevent the Konoha shinobi from counter attacking. " Activate. " He said softly as his body heaved. Even with his exhaustion, he managed to pull out that pompous grin. The explosion took over the battle arena with no place to run, or hide. The tendrils were far enough apart for the Konoha to evade and still be hit by the blast. They covered all the places he could go and the blast radius was significant due to the number of notes. Those glaring red eyes watched as the smoked disappeared.

As the Gatsuga that Yuuji performed hit Jaki which resulted in Yuuji being caught in the genjutsu which he performed, but at the cost of Jaki being in serious pain making hand seals very hard to perform if so taking longer then they actually should due to the pain from the previous attack. But as Kazamaru's version of the attack had missed, the fox traveled a further distance to be in within very short range of Jaki while he was thrown through the air, but staying behind him and couldn't be seen. However Jaki made a mistake not noticing where the fox was and focused on Yuuji. Kazamaru prepared an attack as the fox started to spin violently as he shot up like a projectile aiming towards the upper half of Jaki's spine while he was recovering, damaging the boy and his wings aiming to take him out from the air. The fox was only one point five (1.5m) meters away while Jaki was only so far up in the air, it was an easy target and he couldn't miss at this range and his speed. Kazamaru's attack was aimed for a critical point, he was going to more than likely hit his opponent before he could do anything else. Luckily the genjutsu had hit Yuuji and not his partner, which made this all the more possible.

While on the ground Yuuji grumbled to himself as he completely forgot that he couldn't do anything while in this genjutsu even when he had realised it without using a certain technique which thankfully only took a second or two to perform. Yuuji canceled the flow of chakra in his body before applying an even stronger flow of his chakra to dispel the effect of the genjutsu as he pushed himself up onto his feet and quickly started moving his limbs about as he turned his attention on Jaki who was up in the air trying to recover before Yuuji noticed Kazamaru spinning violently towards Jaki and yet it was too late for him to recover as the fox would connect with Jaki's body, hitting its mark and dealing the full amount of damage it should've done and most likely taking him out of the air.

Before Kazamarus attack had even hit and after Yuuji had broke out of the genjutsu, Yuuji started to close the gap between him, Jaki and Kazamaru as he got ready to perform an attack while Jaki was falling through the air after being hit by Kazamaru. While running Yuuji channeled chakra into his right fist as he lept into the air with his momentum before delivering his own technique the "Fox Fanged Fist" to finish him off and sending his opponent flying across the ground.
