Kemuri is very petite, standing a little over five feet and four inches and weighing a meek one hundred and thirty pounds of lean muscle. Her frame, at first glance, seems quite fragile with unmarred skin that shows a life of inexperience in the world of shinobi. Despite her appearance however, Kemuri is a girl who has survive several explosions and accidental wounds in her training. However, dressing as tactically as she does, one would never see the scars on her torso from shrapnel tearing into her or that stab wound underneath her collarbone from that first fight she ever had. Kemuri is not above getting dirty, often being seen with dirt, ink, or something else after working with her clay or in the earth or in a library. Her hair is always pulled back with a few braids hanging free and drifting over her shoulders. Her eyes are a deep piercing green, something that stands out even on the battlefield. She still has much growing to do, but her lean form is quickly developing into quite the young lady. She, as every other Haretsu, has two mouths imbedded in her hands (One in each palm).
Never a dress, never a flip flop, never a a flower in her hair, Kemuri is the girl that wishes she was a boy. T-shirts, jeans, boots, tennis shoes; Kemuri lives in the constant and is always hiking, researching, experimenting, and occasionally blowing stuff up while wearing clothes that stay out of her way while living this life style. When not on a mission her style of dress always varies and simply can not be predicted except for the single item of clothing she wears simply not to creep other people out. Fingerless gloves are always worn around the village, keeping the mouths on her palms out of sight and out of mind of most in the village.
Tactical dress is only of mild interest to this particular Haretsu, hers remaining only slightly so. In fact, much akin to her parents’ history, her style during a mission is more that of a guerilla fighter than of a shinobi. She sticks to a tight fighting sleeveless sweater that hugs her form to stay out of her way. Elbow pads short-shorts complete most of the ensemble. Rather than stick to standard shinobi outfit, her boots are a cross between combat and hiking, well suited for the forest and mountains of Konoha and to give a little added weight to her kicks. The goggles around her neck are functional, allowing her to hide her identity with their mirrored lenses, but are only worn under the right circumstances. This style though is something that sticks out in the shinobi world, so Kemuri takes great care not to let out her standing as a shinobi slip out until best moment. Her hands, once again, are kept disguised by fingerless gloves.
Twin tactical belts hang from her hips, crossing and adding to her flair. The belts are packed to the brim with explosive clay. Though she is well trained in the use of shinobi equipment for her guerilla tactics, Kemuri currently feels it far more important to use her clay and improvised explosives rather than risk missing her targets with a single kunai or explosive tag. Of course even without her clay she is not truly unarmed, having a wide repertoire of Ninjutsu and Fuuinjutsu equipment hidden upon her person.
Forehead Protector: Kemuri honestly prefers not to wear her headband, keeping it around her waist as a belt with the protector plate on her lower back. She keeps this belt hidden underneath her shirt. Risky, but efficient for how she prefers to operate. Personality:

Look, if you wanted lady like then go talk to one of the other girls, if you want somebody who can save your hide when the drek hits the fan then you want me. Blow it up, seal it away, pinch hit when your big nasty hitter falls down and the medic has to drag his lunky butt back to the village; I can do it all and then some. Yes, I might have had parents who might have been terrorists for hire, but I’m not them. Look, I know I don’t work the best with a team, but what I can do for you all is something very few others can do. If you haven’t noticed, my clan is a dying breed. So if you’re ready then let’s move out. You don’t mind a little bit of bangbang onthis run, yeah? Yeah."
Kemuri is a firecracker of a girl with a big mouth, a big bang, and a ton of confidence. She is not the secret manipulator, she is a straight forward and hard hitting glass cannon. She does not mind that she may end up hurt, she rarely minds getting dirty, and loves finding out the next best way to blow something up or sealing something away. She is quick, she is intelligent, and a little hard to handle. Though she can follow orders and work with a team, it is rarely without hiccups or the butting of heads.
Kemuri is an experimenter, but not the scientific or braniac type. She loves trying to figure out a puzzle or problem even if her version of “Solving it” is using a sledge hammer to force a square peg through a round hole. The challenge excites her and drives her to constantly improve her own methods and tactics, even if every step is the stumble of a downhill run where any slip might end up with her face first in the mud. While she loves experimenting and practicing her bigger booms, she also has hobbies anyone would have. Rock climbing and spelunking make the top of the list followed closely long hikes through the woods and visiting the darker alleys of Konoha to visit some of the rougher establishments.
She hates water. Kemuri can not swim, she gets seasick, and hates the thought of wood being the only thing between her and the dark icy depths of water. Flowers are annoying, skirts are embarrassing, nail polish agitates her, and any attempts to change the style of her hair have been met with harsh reminders of exactly what clan she belongs to. Any attempt to change her attitude, her style, or her tomboyish nature.
With her history, the rumors about her past, and her current swagger filled nature that rubs some people the wrong way, she is 5% Caring, 10% Interesting, 15% Unsure and 75% Explosive. She is quick to start a fight, often forgets what she was doing, and loves living on the edge more than anything else. She may not be the best soldier, but she is an effective one.

Despite all of her days spent at the academy, Kemuri was taught first and foremost on the battlefield by some of the roughest crowds available to her. She was born and bred on guerilla styles, hit and run tactics, and dirty fighting. If it is a fair fight, then it is a fight you have already lost. Standard operating procedures for a shinobi like Kemuri involve loud and fast tactics that break up cohesiveness and leave all parties involved in a state of panic. Kemuri tries to instill this lesson into every team she works with, trying to perfect their dirty fighting with loud and hard hitting attacks that simply scatter less experienced or unprepared individuals.
When fighting alone in the day to day, the Haretsu girl finds it best to make sure the fight is as weighted towards her as possible. Hiking boots provide a harder kick, keeping her clan nature hidden allows for a terrible surprise attack, even sand in the eyes or a bright flash can do much to change the tide of battle. This underhanded style should not be unexpected from a shinobi, but her willingness to do more than most might throw some off guard. She hits hard, fast, and without much care for stealth.
Working with a team is not Kemuri’s strongest suit, often being her downfall as she finds herself accidently hurting them or getting in their way. She seems every the prima donna, enjoying the spotlight and using her abilities to achieve it whether that achievement is in a positive or negative light. What she can add to a team is a high octane element of danger and power at a longer range. As such, she is quick to fall exactly into that role. Her experience as a bandit and mercenary with her parents and family of choice also has left her with combat experience that cannot be discredited or replaced by those who have only studied scenarios of ambushes rather than executing one themselves.
Kemuri is a terrible recon shinobi, preferring to use what little stealth skills she has to ready for a full out assault. So when acting the spy or reconnaissance unit she often keeps to herself and seems pouty or moody. Her preferred area is that of a support shinobi, providing the means to a front line assault or to cover a retreat with heavy firepower. Of course she does have traits and talents with taijutsu that allow her to protect her allies or hamper her opponents. But her naiveté that comes with her age leaves her believing that well applied and extreme force will break down most situations enough to where such things aren’t entirely useful.

THE BACKGROUND. History: Birth with a Bang

Harold and Rebecca would seem your normal parents. They had jobs that paid decently well, they worked hard for their living, they had friends and shared a bond that few could have ever found. Unfortunately they were also terrorists for hire, using their unique clan exploits to achieve quite the reputation amongst criminals and mercenaries. What they did have was a code of honor, refusing to work against the common man and directly targeting nations instead of civilians. Though their actions were criminal, Harold and Rebecca with their crew profited greatly as they were paid to take action against the nations in whatever manner suited their employer.
Life as a mercenary and terrorist is not the life of ease, but a unit grows close and suddenly they are closer than your family. Though the crew approved of the relationship between Rebecca and her chosen common law husband, her sudden pregnancy was received with a lukewarm welcome. Part of their unit disliked the fact that one of their demolitions experts could no longer participate in hands on missions while the rest readied to welcome a second generation mercenary.
When Kemuri was born she was treated just like a son of every member in the unit. Being just a child in their unit, she was immediately included in their work as a decoy or a courier for the team while they were on paid assignment. Growing up with them was always a struggle. A struggle for food, a struggle for money, a struggle to survive their rough and tumble gypsy ways; her parents understood the struggle and did the only thing they could imagine for their child with a heavy heart but no other options provided. Though neither of them desired to, the option that presented itself would take the child out of the mercenary life and give her a chance at real living. Sorta.
Abandoned

The village of Konoha was lovely, covered in trees and with mountains and caves to explore along with rivers and animals to observe. It was a place of rich merchants, kind people, and caring individuals that Kemuri was not allowed to ambush or murder uncaringly. Here she was in such a village all because her parents had done favors for the Hokage and his village council in the last war. It was because of those favors that Kemuri ended up in the academy studying beside students who had never experienced the use of these techniques on the battlefield.
Kemuri was no bookworm and often had trouble or failed entirely at grasping the basics of theory, yet still had quite the talent for practical application. While others struggled to come to grips with using their talents to hurt another person without fear or worry for their wellbeing, Kemuri was easily showing examples of how to rig up a tripwire bomb trap to stop a convoy in its tracks.
Outside of school was worse, Kemuri finding her way to the rougher crowds in Konohagakure. Instead of playing games with the other children her age or studying away in the libraries, she was spending time on the streets helping provide distractions for pick pockets or planning heists from local stalls. If it was not for her teachers cracking down on these practices she might have well followed her family’s footsteps into a life of mercenary work and crime rather than into the military.
Her graduation day was bittersweet without her parents, receiving a headband for a place she had barely learned to call home and the status of unpopularity one only got for being a bully and troublemaker. Kemuri knew she would never get rid of the image and quickly adopted it into her every day life to create a reputation as a tough girl who was willing to cross a line to finish a mission. While she showed that she had her uses on the battlefield, she was mostly seen as a loose cannon who needed to be constantly observed for the good of the village. So watch her they did, comrades and allies keeping tabs and reporting on her to this very day.
Common Day

A genin on the edge, Kemuri still has plenty to learn about team work and could use a good friend to help keep the spitfire cool. Despite her loud mouthed and louder complaints, she remains on the Hokage’s leash a vicious attack hound held at bay only under his orders. That being said, she is not above bending rules or occasionally disobeying orders if she thinks it will get her ahead in life or ahead of other shinobi of her rank. She is a jealous and prideful thing, only heightening her need for a team that can keep her in check and balanced as the mercenary unit did for her parents. She is currently seeking to find her place in the world, a pile of money to land in, and a chance to further her skills to obtain both as quickly as humanly possible.
Roleplay Sample:
The crickets kept chirping, annoying bugs hidden in the night not unlike Kemuri was hidden at the moment. Her breathing was shallow, her eyes closed as she listened to the wind and waited for the sound that she knew would be coming. Above her was a cloak of leafs that shrouded her and kept her from the prying eyes of those who passed on the road only a few dozen feet from her positioning. The crickets kept chirping and it was a struggle not to lash out and slap at the darkness to hopefully shut them up for a time and give the Haretsu genin some peace and quiet if only for a few moments. This assignment was getting annoying, but it was far from Kemuri’s place to complain after she had specifically requested this.
This mission reminded her of the good days when she played the wounded girl in the road to get a market caravan to stop while an ambush by her family was sprung to obliterate them. Those days when she sat with wolfs blood on her leg and spring water about her face to make it look as if she was crying. Now she spent her days following orders, trying to work with a team, and living in a village instead of on the road towards her next score.
A cracking twig on the road caught her attention, her focus returning to the plan as she waited for the next one. Another crack echoed in the woods, and another and another as the wagon wheel followed the path set out by the girl. They thought the cracking was just a hazard of the road and by now the caravan guards would be on high alert for potential ambushers attracted to the sound and waiting for the attack to land. Kemuri counted down the seconds, imagining their eyes scanning the woodlands and waiting for a kunai or an explosive tag, or a shinobi charging in to attack them.
Sixteen steps.
She counted, waiting until the cracking of twigs stopped and she knew that they had arrived. Beneath her shroud of leaves did her hand come up in the signal. It was a motion not missed by the caravan guards, who saw the shift in leaves and immediately sprung into action but far too late. As their cry of alarm went up the boom of an explosion and the rush of air that blew off the leaves covering her consumed them entirely. Part of the path had been repaved, and when the first wagon had reached the end of it was when Kemuri had detonated the path of clay. Few would have survived, none of them uninjured. She put a hand to her ear, clicking the headset there.

Name: Henge no Jutsu • Transformation Technique Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique transforms the user’s appearance to that of another object or person. However, it is not a permanent transformation and a mental image of what they are transformed into. Certain aspects of a ninja will not change merely by transformation, these things may include injuries, tool pocket placements etc. The jutsu will dispel should the user be injured. The user does not gain the properties of their transformation (ie. horse like strength), and may only transform into something ranging between 1/2 of their regular size, to 2x their regular size. Name: Chozou no Jutsu • Storage Technique Rank: E Type: Fuuinjutsu, Supplementary Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: N/A Description: A simple jutsu that allows a ninja to seal or unseal any item, mostly weapons, from scrolls or from their body. After forming the necessary handsigns, the ninja will seal the item into a scroll etc. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons or have other seals inside of them, which expands the number of potential tricks a shinobi can use. The items themselves are unaffected by time. Ninjutsu can also be stored in scrolls, to be released when the scroll is opened, but require another person to cast said Ninjutsu; else it cannot be sealed. Chakra Cost: 1 to seal; 1 to unseal.
Name: Suimen Hokou no Waza • Act of Water Surface Walking Rank: D Type: N/A Range: N/A Element: NA Description: This technique allows the user to balance themselves on water by focusing a constant and steady stream of chakra to the user’s feet or hands. Because of water’s nature, this requires the user to be quick to adjust the amount of chakra they must emit to their feet in order to maintain a constant balance. Name: Kinobori no Waza • Act of Tree Climbing Rank: D Type: N/A Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: This technique allows the user to balance themselves on trees and vertical walls by focusing a constant and steady stream of chakra to the user’s feet. Gravity can easy be defined if this technique is mastered, allowing people to even stand upside down. If too much chakra is exerted the user will be pushed away; bark breaking and causing the user to then fall. If not enough chakra is exerted the user will lose their footing and fall. Name: Burēdo no Ha - Blades of Leaves Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0 - 5m) Element: - Description: Burēdo no Ha is a ninjutsu technique utilizing leaves. By using the leaves that are scattered across the ground in the surrounding five metre radius, the user is able to lift ten leaves by using chakra alone and launch them at their opponent. If contact is made, the intended target will suffer from small scratches that the leaves have to offer. The technique will only be able to lift ten leaves at a time, it's also not strong enough to kill, only to scratch the flesh to the point of blood being drawn. Chakra Cost: 4
Name: Kuchiyose no Jutsu - Summoning Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: N/A Description: A powerful jutsu, Ninpo Kuchiyose allows a ninja to summon animals and objects to fight on their behalf. The ninja normally signs a blood contract with the animal species, which allows them to summon different size and skill levels of creature. Name: Goukakyuu no Jutsu - Great Fireball Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m) Element: Katon (Fire) Description: Katon • Goukakyuu no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the Fire Element. The ninja does the necessary hand seals, draws chakra from their mouth into their chest and them immediately exhales it. They then blow a stream of fire which erupts into a large sphere of flames. To better manage the flames the ninja will bring their hand to their mouth to control it. Chakra Cost: 5 (2 per post)
Name: Kasumi Enbu no Jutsu - Mist Waltz Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: Katon (Fire) Description: After performing the necessary hand seals, the user is able to create and blow a flammable gas from their lungs. Once it comes in contact with fire or sparks, the gas ignites into a large fireball. Chakra Cost: 8
Name: Sandanjuu Hidama- The Fireball Shotgun Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0-3m), Medium (4-6m), Long (8m) Element: Katon (Fire) Description: Inhaling deeply, a shinobi uses their Katon natured chakra to turn the air into their lungs into a raging inferno. Gritting their teeth and exhaling forcefully causes the fire to erupt from their mouth in the form of several large marble sized fireballs (24 in all). The closer the opponent is, the worse his overall burns are due to multiple fireballs hitting them in various locations. As the target gets further away from the shinobi using the technique, the wider spread the fireballs become. This technique is wonderful at taking flocks of birds, masses of insects, or other targets that need a wide spread of fire. Chakra Cost: 6cp

Name: C1: Exploding Kunai Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Same as Kunai Element: Doton (Earth/Clay) Description: This technique allows Kemuri to assemble basic shinobi supplies from the clay she is so accustomed to using. By using a unit of clay in a mouth and her fire natured chakra to heat to bake it while crafting, Kemuri is able to draft up to two kunai. These kunai are whitish in color and ceramic in composition. This allows them to be durable, but perhaps not as durable as the iron of standard kunai, but also lighter and with a more refined edge similar to a scalpel. This technique uses one unit of clay and can create up to two kunai and these kunai can be detonated in the same manner as any other clay technique. Chakra Cost: 3CP (Per kunai)
Name: C1: Nendo Supaidā | C1: Clay Spiders Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m), Far (10+) Element: Doton (Earth) Description: C1: Nendo Supaidā is a basic form of explosive clay, that is created from a single palm mouth of the user. The user releases the clay figure from their palm mouth which resembles that of a small animal. In this variant the clay figure resembles a small spider in which the user can simply throw at the target or even navigate them to crawl amongst a surface. Because of their small size they are typically undetectable. This technique totally hides the clay, including its white color, but requires the shinobi to touch the surface (Even if only briefly) to infuse their explosives into concrete, dirt, sand, etc. Once planted, the explosive can be detonated like any other clay technique. The user releases the clay figure from their palm mouth which resembles that of a small animal. In this variant the clay figure resembles a bird no larger than a pigeon which is used as a projectile bomb for ranged assaults because of their quick flying ability. After forming a specific seal with their hands, the user can detonate the clay birds and cause an explosion equal to a exploding tag, destroying their relative area. From a single use of this technique only two birds can be made, however this technique cannot be reused until both birds are terminated. This jutsu consumes 1 unit of clay to use. Name: The Bubble Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Mid (5m-10m), Far (10+) Element: Doton (Earth) Description: Using a mouth, a shinobi will chew their clay and blow a bubble as if it is bubble gum. This bubble is then tethered to a kunai and set adrift on the wind. This bubble can be roughly controlled by the shinobi so long as they can see it, but is easily blown off course via wind. In this variant the clay figure resembles a wolf which is capable of sprinting quickly at a target and even assaulting them with its fangs and claws. After forming a specific seal with their hands, the user can detonate the clay wolf and cause an explosion equal to a pair of exploding tags, destroying its relative area. From a single use of this technique only one wolf can be made, however this technique cannot be reused until the wolf is terminated. This jutsu consumes 2 units of clay. Chakra Cost: 5CP
Name: C1: Touch and Go Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Touch Element: Doton Description: Utilizing clay already chewed and charged by the mouths in their hands, a Haretsu will use this technique during contact with an opponent via taijutsu. The mouths will use the sticky clay to attach a small amount (No bigger than a large marble) on the surface struck to be detonated at the Haretsu’s discretion. Name: Armbar Trap Rank: C Type: Taijutsu Range: Close Element: N/A Description: This technique is a chakra-enhanced reaction to an incoming punch and so requires the opponent to send a punch at the user before it can be used. Once a fist is coming at the Shinobi, he will immediately leap into the air with a short jump and grab the wrist of the punching limb, with both hands. By pulling at the wrist while in midair, the user will drag the elbow between his legs and as far as to their pelvis, whilst at the same time, they put their own feet across the chest of their opponent. This position allows the user to utilize their body as the fulcrum to a twisted teeter totter and by pushing their hips firmly against the elbow, the user threatens to hyperextend the joint and break the arm. Also, please specify that it requires direct, head on contact with the jutsu in question in order to absorb it (not just pull it out of thin air). On top of that, please specify what type of jutsu/attacks it can absorb; i.e., is it just physical attacks, or attacks composed of Chakra, etc.
'Harold' And 'Rebecca' hardly seem like names you would find in the Narutoverse. Please adapt them to something more Japanese.
Please edit your origin to simply 'Amegakure no Sato'. 'Born in' is not required.

| Shush Enzo, it's a city. As a southerner I put my city before my state and my state before my country!
As towards my jutsu cost being changed, if I re-add to include the jutsu cost then it'll be ridiculously overpriced. I'll also point out that a storage jutsu from the academy list specifically states that it can seal jutsu. So if my 31 Seals technique is not approvable then I'll replace it. And I'll use the academy jutsu to pay 2CP, seal it. 2cp, unseal it. At least until staff fixes it. |
