| Subject: A Training, a Summon, a new ally. Mon 19 Apr 2010, 2:13 am | |
| Wanizame found himself at a lost, unsure of what to do next with his fistful of notes and determination to at long last find a new source of power and a new tool for his travels in the form of a summons. It wasn’t entirely an alien subject for his thoughts, a few others in the village seemed more than happy to speak about their summons or access them in battle when the time desired.
The downpour of rain didn’t help his concentration, the dull hiss of water from the sky crashing into rocks in mass was somewhat comforting for him actually but lulled him into a strand of thinking that pulled away from what he had set out to do here today. A crack of thunder brought his mind back to the task at hand, his hand coming to his mouth briefly for teeth to bite hard onto the pad of his thumb. It hurt, it actually hurt far more than he thought it ever would as he tried to chew through the flesh and bring forth the blood required for the jutsu at hand to bring forth something from his chakra.
Another bolt of lightning came crashing down into the land named for it, shaking the stones beneath Wanizame’s feet as the thunder forced its vibrations through every living thing out in this downpour. Wanizame mumbled and bit down hard again, still not managing to chew through his finger to grant access to the red liquid he desired to pull from himself. Two bites was more than enough for him though, and the next step was a prick from a senbon to his thumb before a series of handsigns came with assistance from the bloodied digit before it landed upon the earth with a wet slap that resulted in the shallow puddle splashing water up into the face of Wanizame.
“What am I doing wrong?” was the one thought going through the mind of Wanizame. It wasn’t often he didn’t get things on the first try and really didn’t want to try a second, third, or fourth time. Again the senbon met flesh, pricking a different finger as he readied himself to try this again. Fingertips move together, one seal, two seals, three seals, and the final handsign before sending his palm flat against the wet stone in front of him instead of the shallow puddle forming between his knees.
It happened in a flash, and not a flash of lightning either, as the sigils and words wound around the spot where his thumb was planted firmly against the stone. A puff of smoke and a loud pop sends Wanizame backwards from his kneeling position and rolling feet over head before sprawling out on his stomach. Feelings of irk and dislike once again flooded the mind of the Kumo Genin as he brushed himself free of some clinging tiny stones. Before him was a sight to see, one of black beauty and cunning cruelty beneath a mess of feathers currently repelling the rain albeit with a murderous glance towards the one who summoned it.
“You…actually managed to summoned me. I suppose I can give you a moment or two of my time before eating you like the worm you are.” A calm quiet viciousness the standard tone for the crow as it stood in the rain watching this human that had pulled it away for his own uses.
“You’re…gorgeous, may I ask what your name is Madame Crow?” Wanizame managed to stutter out, his eyes wide with wonder and a grin splitting his normally stoic visage.
“Madame Crow? My, my, my that is quite humorous little worm. My name is Nigai. Nigai Adauchi little worm. And you?” the eyes lightening just the barest hint, Nigai actually seeming to almost smile if she possessed the capacity to do so.
“Nigai Adauchi… thank you for honoring me with your presence, I have been thinking about trying this for a long time. Longer than one might imagine considering my usual actions and attitude, I do tend to spend more time studying the medical field than things of this particular… nature.”
“That of chakra and Ninjutsu rather than the human body and muscle you mean? Such a standard thought process of worms, though there are those who do the exact opposite and unnerve me with their desire to further their Ninjutsu repertoire and their knowledge of all things chakra based.” Spitting the words with a distaste to them at the tail end of her words.
“Madame Nigai, I must be honest to say that I am seeking something from you.” The admission coming with a hint of embarrassment from one who normally acted for more confident than he did as he stood in front of this bird who could easily decimate him in three or four pecks of that mighty looking beak.
“’Madame Nigai’ makes me sound quite a bit more regal than my appearance here…” Nigai interrupts, shaking a bit, wings flapping to brush away the rain that finally seemed to be gathering on her feathered form before continuing her conversation with this particular worm. “You desire a contract with me and my kind, no?”
“Well… Yes, but it is only for the needs I possess and the desires of my village.” An honest, and simultaneously half true answer emits from betwixt the lips of Wanizame “I seek... your cunning and skills.”
“Well, despite your good manners and amusing fear of me, I am afraid I will not be giving you a contract worm. You are still going to be eaten, and I am still going to return from where I came from.” Comes a bored sounding reply. “You’re intentions are honorable, as one’s village becomes a priority in their life as they grow to be about your age. I, myself, have no desire to be honor bound to the ideals of a village and I doubt my kind would accept such an agreement.”
Wanizame couldn’t help but wince, watching the giant crow before him shift once more and threaten to pluck him from where he sat with as Nigai reaches forward with a beak opened to snap at him. Feet push off of the ground, skidding him backwards over rain slicked stone before rolling backwards and finding his feet beneath him and kunai drawn. “P-please Madame Nigai, I have no intention to fight you whatsoever…I need you.” Wanizame tries, hoping to find some bit of understanding from the bird before him.
“Little worm, you speak of the village and then speak of yourself. Which do you value more?”
“My needs… my desires now match up with the desires of Kumogakure, but I value myself more than anything else. For if there is not a me, I have no life.”
“Very astute little worm… you shall have your contract soon, and until then you know how to reach me little worm. I do hope you show me exactly what you are all about soon…” |
