As he scanned stall after stall, he knew there was no hope of finding anyone in this huge mess. The smells and sounds attacked him from all sides. It didn't disorientate him -- no, he knew the market like the back of his hand but it was just annoying. He had just been walking with his mother and she had told him to get some melon-bread. When he'd turned back, she was gone! It wasn't that she was gone that annoyed him, but the fact she hadn't let him put the melon-bread in her bag! He sighed, knowing that she'd probably run off to some jewelery stall without telling him. Now he'd have to walk around carrying bread.

He rolled his eyes, and drifted around, looking for something interesting. Sometimes foreigners would set up stalls, bringing some pretty amazing things here. Last time he'd found some scrolls th "I think I can hear because of these," he said pointing to his furry black bat-ears, hidden inside his messy hair. He flicked them up so she could see them, and brought them down again; hidden. The woman's eyes widened. "Yat had the most beautiful patterns on them. They were made of light papyrus, and had had intricate patterns of gold painted onto them. He wandered to the section that foreign stalls were, and kept his eyes peeled for interesting things.

What caught his eyes was a large glowing crystal on one of the stalls surrounded by other little trinkets. But it was the crystal that interested him. He stared into the crystal and realised that, not only was it glowing, it was singing. He could hear a quiet hum escaping from it, and it was music to his ears. "It-it sounds so...beautiful" he said, amazed at the crystal.

"Sounds?" The woman behind the stall replied. "It's not making any sound." She lifted it to her ear and frowned.
"Oh," said Toya, surprised. Why can I hear some weird noise? he thought, confused. "Well, I can hear something."
The woman spoke again, and now she had a softness in her voice. "You are the son of a Kanashi. Although the women are the only ones with an ability, the men can hear the songs of this crystal" His eyes widened as she spoke, and she continued, without letting him speak.
You can have it for free, as long as you buy something else" she said tiredly, "That crystal annoys me at night, glowing and all."

And so he left the foreign area with a glowing, singing crystal and a small yellow and white egg made of a marble of some sort. And as he walked he pondered over what had just happened. The woman hadn't answered any questions of who she was, or how she knew the information she gave. He had a feeling he would never see her again. As he found his way into the section of the market full of bread, Toya bumped straight into someone. "Sorry," he exclaimed, picking up the egg he'd dropped. Then he looked up, straight into the eyes of...

Kenji was slowly making his way through the market. he was not paying much attention to what was going on around him. the many different sights, sounds, and smells seemed to put him into a trance like state against his will. There were many more people out as there had been lately, probably because tthe temperature was finaly starting to warmm up with the onset of spring.

Just as Kenji rounded a corner while staring down at the ground, he was bumped in t and knocked over by a stranger. Kenji looked up to see another Leaf Ninja looking down at him and apologizing profusely. He smiled at the unknown ninja, "Don't worry about it, I was paying no attention to where I was going anyways." Kenji stood up and held out his hand. "The name is Kenji Kajiyama. I'm one of the newest Genins here in the Leaf Village."

while walking through the market she wasnt really interested in buying anything just looking for something to do. looking for a small job or someone who needed help and then out of no where she spied toya the first person she actually met and remembered since waking up. she followed him a little ways watching him glance her and there from cart to cart. she was catching up on him and was about to jump out and scare him when she saw him run into someone. well better see if they need any help yukii thought to herself.

as she got closer she realized it was both kenji and toya. kenji was appologizing when she got close enough to here and out of no were yukii jumped on toyas back. " did you miss me ? hu hu...." she asked like a kid sister would have.

she moved off his back so he could catch his breath and went over and hugged kenji who looked un surprised to see her." well i guess we all had the same idea boredom in the market woo hoo" yukii said with high energy in her voice. "i know you missed me kenji, but what would sensei say if we werent training while he left. were gonna be in some trouble when he realizes it, unless toya here wants to train us a tad so we can show off and bring shikachis head out of the clouds." she turned to toya " please please just one jutsu each ? you know you love me toy-ahhhhhhhh" she said again in a little sister voice.

Just as Kenji was shaking the hand of the Shinobi he happened to run into, a strange and bouncy girl came hopping up to them in way to good of a mood. When she got close enough he was able to tell that it was Yuki, one of his fellow members of Squad 2. However this is not the same girl he had just met a few hours ago. She was happy and bubbly. At the team meeting she was very somber, and completely unsure of her power and herself in general. He could completely understand that being that she didn't remember anything about her past, but what was different now, why was she like this?

As he was pondering over this, she came up and hugged him and said "I know you missed me kenji, but what would sensei say if we werent training while he left. were gonna be in some trouble when he realizes it, unless toya here wants to train us a tad so we can show off and bring shikachis head out of the clouds.", giving him the impression that she did not like their fellow teammate.

Kenji laughed loudly and shrugged at her. "I guess it would be kinda hard to miss you if you always acted like this. Strange though, right after we leave our first meeting, I happen to bump into a person you know and seem to be following? Or am I the one that you are following?
