Hmm... Flash's thoughts

Here I am, sitting in a library. I'm suppose to be studying but its hard to do any one thing without distracting myself; otherwise I will fall asleep. I have been going through alot of depression and it is freakin' me out. Not like I have any real reason to be depressed, but it's just THERE, a chemical imbalance perhaps. I'm fed up with everything and everyone around me, and feel disappointed in the world I live in. To me, people are cold, and selfish, and do everything and nothing but for the sake of survival. People also expect the same from other people. If you approach them, they will reject you on the grounds of not wanting to give you anything, even if you want nothing. Even if you are trying to give them something.

I feel like very few people think. That almost everyone around me is lost in their own little world, and doesn't care or want to care about anything else. Like people have no priority besides themselves...

I look at relationships and wonder how they happen.

What do they got that I dont, I say as I compare myself to the guys.

Why don't they give me the time of day, I wonder, refering to the girls.

I am weird, I must be.

And it snowballs. One thought to another until im angry and sad and frustrated with my own illusion of loneliness.

It's a cycle that I dont know how to break. A disgust that manifests itself in my mind, I think. Someone just let me be happy!

It makes perfect sense Pat.

People are only using flash for personal Gain, which is what a narcissist will do, every aspect of their life is based around themselves, so they would just be using flash to make themselves look better/for something else (idk what.)

Narcissist is the Story of Narcissus in the Bible who was so obsessed with himself, that when he saw his own reflection he couldn't look away and died because he stared at his reflection for so long.

A narcissist is someone who likes to look at themselves in the mirror, its not the same thing as someone who is greedy and self-serving. Oh, and the story of Narcissus isn't from the bible it's from greek mythology.

Flash, we all have our phases, just try to pull through, I've felt the same way myself sometimes.

Precisely, it comes from the greek myth of Narcissus, whom wouldn't give in to the desperate attempts at love made by the Nymph Echo. As a result, he was punished to fall in love with his own reflection.

You're not really refuting my point, only stating yours, and failing to say how the two correlate or disproves the other.

You're confusing this word with greedy. Egotistical means that they think highly of themselves and are impressed with themselves, and that they typically wish to inflate that by getting the approval of others not that they're greedy for anything material necessarily. It could be equally bad, but it would be wrong to say that this means that people do anything to serve themselves, or at least, quite a bit of a stretch.

I'm directly providing negative reinforcement for an undesirable behavior exhibited in my sibling through physical force in order to have the pain induced by said negative reinforcement become associated with the undesirable action that initially induced it.

You, on the other hand, have simply stated that the previously exhibited behavior, which was clearly explained and outlined above, was something that was insubstantial and unimportant to the topic at hand when, in fact, it clearly relates as an expression of my opinion on someone's reaction to Flash's opinion, thus making it highly relevant and worthy of being presented to the public through this forum.

In fact, rather than defile my original intent and reduce it to a lower level of quality through your labeling habits, you have simply performed an action that is more warranting of the assigned label of 'spam' than that which you originally labeled, making the situation immensely ironic and thus humorous to those able to see the direct contrast between the taken action and the intent.
