Yoroi Kaguya

Yugakure was a pretty place, though it was not at all like Konohagakure was, being several times smaller and a lot less crowded on the streets. It was a place where there was no action at all, being the kind of peaceful place that lacked any kind of military forces and other fighters. Despite that, there was no doubt in his mind that there were at least a few practitioners of Ninjutsu in this place, or there would be no way to keep a fairly large country like Yu no Kuni controlled and safe. Whether they were just some kind of police force or held some other form of defenses was unknown to Yoroi, though there was no way in hell that he would believe that it lacked defenses as a whole. Of all the villages large countries and minor nations he had seen so far, there had not been a single one that just lacked Shinobi as a whole. Then again, one of the countries he had passed through had an entirely different form of defenses.

The land of iron had Samurai, fighters wearing plated armor and katana, fighting without the use of Ninjutsu, yet capable of taking one of them down just as easily. The way they handled swords in combat and used their chakra to enforce their blades was a lot like how Yoroi handled his skeletal swords, though the difference between the actual handling of the weapons was worlds apart. He did envy them a bit, having their own code of honor and way of life that was entirely different then that of the Shinobi he had met. A Shinobi did battle by using the surprise element and taking people down through trickery and deception, while the Samurai were the most straight forward kind of fighters he had ever seen. Pondering on how every place supposedly had some form of protection, he made sure not to forget about the task at hand. If he was to pick up this package, he had to find the institution where he was supposed to pick it up.

Asking one local after the other if they knew how to find the head of Yugakure's institution, it seemed as if no one wanted to tell an outsider where to find the guy. The amount of kindness these people showed to those not from the village only went so far, seeing as even Yoroi could tell that none of these people trusted him at all. From a place that was supposed to be the most peaceful place in the Shinobi world, it sure seemed like they were extremely paranoid for some reason. It was only natural for them to be on guard around Shinobi, figuring that even these people knew about the way in which villages were trying to strengthen their holdings and gain more tactical grounds, just to prepare themselves for the impending war, trying as hard as they could to get the upper hand before it really started.

Yoroi Kaguya

After walking around the town for a while, it seemed that the illusive man that he was looking for had made sure that not everyone would be able to find him. As it turned out, the man that had hired Yoroi for this job forgot to tell him just how well this place was hidden. If it was true that the place had no military, this must have been the reason as to how they managed to keep their secrets hidden from outsiders. Yoroi was not much for hiding, preferring it when people fought him in a straight forward fashion. It was for that reason that he hated those that relied solely on things like Genjutsu to trick their opponent with illusions and mind altering techniques. The entire deception and trickery part of being a Shinobi was among the things he did not like one bit, though there were situations in which such underhanded tactics were required in order to get things done.

As such, it was not the fact that he disliked the village of Yugakure for hiding their base of operations at all, just that they lived in a world where such things were required in order to survive. With all of his skills and all the kindness he could muster up, he searched the place over and over again over the course of one full hour, though not even a trained Shinobi such as himself was able to find out where the institute was. When he was about to give up, he ran into a whole lot of luck, finding a man that had been looking for him, just like Yoroi had been looking. Taking him for the Konoha Shinobi that had been sent to retrieve a package from the Yugakure facility, he seemed to be a whole lot more friendly. Apparently  they had been troubled by a rogue that had been looking to get into the medical facility in order to steal the information and data stored there, just so he could sell it to the highest bidder. It was right then that he understood more about the paranoia of these people,

Going with the guy he had met, he supposedly knew where Yoroi had to go, though he took him outside of the village, something that seemed weird to him. It was not long before they reached a large formation of rocks that easily reached thirty meters into the sky. Tapping against the rocks after forming a string of hand seals, the rocks opened up, revealing a passage inside the rocks. Following the guy deeper into the building, they got to his private lab. Yoroi had first believed that this place did nothing more then invent new ways to keep their pools clean, only to find out that the place was in fact a medical facility in the same time, using natural methods in order to cure diseases and create new forms of medicine. The more he got to see of the building, the more he understood the reason as to why the villagers were so secretive about the place.

Yoroi Kaguya

Walking down long halls and finding that there were quite a bit of people down in the hidden building, he could not even imagine how they had managed to keep such a place save and secure from all of the people that passed through. Then again, he did not think that there would be a lot of people that even knew about a place like this existing in a peaceful town like Yugakure. Inside of the institution, he soon got to meet up with the man that supposedly had the package that he had been sent to retrieve. As Yoroi planned to shake his hand, the man seemed to not be the kind of person that liked making physical contact, speaking about germs and what not. It did not matter to Yoroi, he was not really the touchy kind of person, just going by the manners and etiquette he had picked up from his sister. His sister was probably very worried about him, though there was no reason for her to be. He was doing just fine on his own, even though he was thinking about her the entire time.

The entire reason as to why he had been trying so hard to get stronger was so he could eventually protect her from harm, though that was a lot harder then it seemed. With Toshiro around and the fact that Kimiko was still worlds above him in terms of power, there was little to nothing he could do in order to defend her from the world's dangers, though he was still set on trying. Because of this, there was not a thing in the world he feared, outside of the fact that he might lose everyone he loves if they were not being careful in their daily lives. For now, he had to focus on completing his mission so he could return to Ophelia, after which he could continue preparing for the journey home. What he would not really like to admit was the fact that he was starting to like the young woman, not just because she was really pretty and roughly his age, but because she had been nice to him where others would just ignore him. If he was to go back to Konohagakure soon, he really hoped that he could get her to tag along with him.

It was true that Yoroi had a lot of noble reasons as to why he was doing all of these things for the village and the people he loved, though a far less noble reason was simply that he wanted to become stronger, strong enough to one day outclass his sister Kimiko so she could just sit back at home and be safe. The same thing went for little Viera, the girl he wanted to protect from the harmful Shinobi world because she seemed like such a delicate little flower. It was because of people like Viera, Kimiko and Ophelia that Yoroi would never stop his quest of gaining power, never stop becoming wiser and never let anyone take him down in front of his family. His trip to Yugakure had just been one more step towards greater power, the thing he needed to utterly destroy those that threatened his family. Right now, all Yoroi really wanted was that which he had been sent here to collect, the package. The man that seemed to be in charge of these operations knew this quite well, which was why he led Yoroi straight to it.

Showing Yoroi the package in the back of the room, it seemed that his mission had finally come to an end. Walking towards it with the intention of taking the package with him, the man pushed a button, causing a steel door to fall down and seal the package off. Looking over his shoulder with a spiteful glare, he could tell that the man was somewhat startled by Yoroi's response. Figuring that Yoroi would hurt him if he didn't start explaining fast, he told him that he had been looking for someone to help him retrieve a certain kind of plants for him, the kind he needed to further his own studies. Asking if Yoroi would be interested in helping the guy with his quest, Yoroi figured that it would take him a lot of time before he would breach the steel wall, while helping the man with his missions would help him and the village of Yugakure. After a moment of considering his options, Yoroi accepted the mission and was sent on his way with a small list.
