Temples and Tribulations - Kumo’s Official Starfall Opening Thread

Of all the great villages none would have a clear or more harrowing site of Yoshimaru’s return then Kumo. Located high above the world, in its mountain fastness, it’s wide broadways and topless towers would offer first rate views of the horror to come. Steeped in nobility and tradition, Kumo is home to many of the world’s great religious orders and temples and the night itself was steeped in archaic mystery and superstition. Unsurprisingly the streets were plagued with false prophets and gibbering preachers claiming the end was nigh and I new age was dawning even before the final descent began. In mixture of awe, terror and uncertainly the greater bulk of Kumo’s reserved population has huddled for warmth and comfort around its infamous great temple, God’s Memorial hoping for protection and a sign from the heavens. You and the rest of the Nin are there too, observing a night village for fallen comrades and to ensure people’s superstitions do not turn into anything bloody. As once you star up at the usually cloud riddled sky to witness the events that would come to pass.

This scene takes place 10 minutes prior to the events outlined in Starfall. At God’s Memorial, Kumo’s greatest temple, 1000’s of people, many preying, others simply not sure what to think have gather for the meteor storm

All Kumo Nin are encouraged to post. This is an opportunity for Nin to gather, meet new people and play a part US’s opening sequence. This does not count against a member’s posts restrictions and you do not use up your 2 active thread at time limit posting here. When enough people have posted I will post the next part, giving time for reactions before posting the following section and so on and so forth. It should be fun. Don’t worry if you aren’t great at rping, we were all beginners once after all and use this as an opportunity to rp with more seasoned members

Wanizame couldn't help but watch the skies above for some sign of the oncoming meteors and finally see something that the preachers and priests couldn't help babbling about while he was in their midst. Shoulder to shoulder with the people from his village. Crowds weren’t exactly his thing, and neither was standing in such tight places full of people. It was situations like this that left him feeling naked, lacking any of his gear or his normal outfits as he stood waiting for the sky to fall.

People around him mulled this way and that way, bumping shoulders and rubbing elbows before the sky seemed to open up. Eyes locked upwards, voices whispering and calling out in awe. Fingertips curled tight in his fists, Wanizame ready to be done with this supposedly amazing event and to be back doing what he was trained to do. The events may be world changing, but perhaps Wanizame didn’t really care about the parts of the world that would be changed.

The wind whistled and howled as people began to gather, anticipating the Meteor Storm. It was truly a remarkable feature. The falling molten rocks, gleaming in the sky in firery reds and oranges as it entered the atmosphere. It would warm the sky and give off a great light as they came closer. All would be extremely excited to see it. Standing in the far back was Katou Gomu. The Rubber Bandit. He wasn't stoked like everyone else. Leaning against the tree he sighed as he unfurled his arms and used his thumb to push his straw hat out of the way. His ripped and torn shorts made him look like a begger, and the red vest just put a topping on it. He didn't play it out like he was a poor begger, he just used these clothes because it helped with his Kekkei Genkai.

Katou belonged to unique clan. Rubber. Their entire body was rubber, making them super agile and responsive. Looking up there were a few shinobi here and there, but it was mostly villagers awaiting the arrival of the meteors. Grinning, he swung his arm up and lasso'd onto the tree above. Pulling himself up with swings, he swung around the entire tree and positioned himself onto the branches above. From this view point, Katou was able to observe all that was around him and would give him a good view as to what to expect.

Katou hadn't read much on these Meteor Storms, but sometimes in a Meteor Storm, a stone would grant the finder increased power. But that was a myth Katou decided as it seemed odd that a space rock would grant super strength or super speed. It just didn't seem likely. Placing his pointer finger and thumb, he spread them apart and rubbed his chin softly as he thought about it. But without doubt it was too far fetched, but his curiousity got the better of him, that's why he was here, to find that stond.

It was slightly hilarious. Shunichi for the first time felt nervous, though he never really noticed why. At this moment he was running through the crowd, jumping and sometimes even pushing himself to a better location where he can have a god view at the Meteor. He didn't exactly knew how it looked like, and at this moment he could only see a bright red ball coming down. "Ah, excuse me." Shunichi said while he bumped into another ninja from Kumo. Then he jumped in top of one of the available trees. There he was able to watch everything, and actually better than most others. He wasn't really into this Meteor thing, though something made him feel rather interested on the thing. Rumors were that the meteors do give power to those who find it. Shunichi wasn't power hungry though a little more power couldn't hurt him. For sometime he remained thinking what could happen if that meteor happen to crash in the wrong place. Something that huge, has its downsides, though it come with good things also that meaning the powers that it grants you.

"Huumph, what about if I find that rock? I wonder what I could accomplish with it." He said as he smiled, while he brushed his left hair bang to the back with his hand. He could see many famous shinobi around, one that also stood in a nearby tree where Shunichi was. He didn't exactly knew his name, though he as seen him around the village as one of the Jounins. Others were wandering around, starring at the giant fire ball in the sky. Thinking back at the other subject he thought that this meteor can even destroy the whole village or even kill many innocent people in the village. Kumo wasn't supposed to take a risk like this especially in this moment, that the rock is approaching. Instead they should be planning something, as of what this rock can do to the village, and stop thinking about the power they can achieve by obtaining it.

PostSubject: Re: Temples and Tribulations - Kumo’s Official Starfall Opening Thread Temples and Tribulations - Kumo’s Official Starfall Opening Thread EmptySat 24 Apr 2010, 4:48 am

Kesshuu Muei sat alone in a small alley running alongside the temple, staring out with some mixture of apathy and disgust at the myriad pathetic souls wandering around the streets, shouting out in jubilation over something as stupid as a falling rock. There was talk throughout the village of power, ancient religions, gods, mythical creatures... it was all a load of shit, as far as she was concerned. She didn't really care about power, and religion? Well, the only religion that interested her in the least was Jashin, and she didn't believe in their god, either. Only their techniques. No, the only thing that mattered to Muei was blood - and for that reason, and that reason alone, she would follow the Raikage's orders in the war that was inevitably about to unfold.

Resigned, she shook her head and sighed as she watched the activity of her village from behind the high collar of her coat. They were pitiful creatures, those, most of them probably just riding on the meteor's coattails as an excuse to get drunk and party. Waste of time and energy. No, these people were worse than that... their very existence was a waste of space and chakra.

Muei wasn't even sure why she'd come here. She hated festivals with all of her being, and avoided them like the plague. Just being here around so much noise was starting to make her sick to her stomach. But, for some reason, she had felt strangely drawn to the festival tonight - like something big was going to happen, and she needed to be there for it. Thusfar, though, all she had seen was a street full of idiots stumbling around drunkenly.

Shaking her head once again, she turned away, diverting her attention to what little of the sky she could see from between the walls of the buildings that flanked the alleyway. As she stared into the infinite depths of space, she suddenly felt her body warming a little. There was a certain beauty about the nighttime sky, especially on cloudy nights in the new moon. Staring into the infinite blackness, she could see her own reflection. It was as if she was returning home, to the only friend she'd ever had whose darkness and solitude matched her own.

Tonight, though, was different. Tonight, the sky was clear, and filled with an eerie green light, one that had spelled certain death for thousands of ninja, and had, in fact, completely destroyed the entire land of rock. There were few things that Muei found more comforting than the pure darkness of the cloudy night sky, but this definitely ranked as one of them. Indeed, there was something special happening tonight - and if the prophets were right about the meteor spelling the end of the world, Muei would be glad to be able to watch it happen, and she wasn't really bothered with the knowledge that it would be happening to her, too. Somehow, there just seemed to be so much beauty to be found in death. Muei couldn't quite comprehend the irrational fear that so many people seemed to harbor for it.

Not that she believed a word of what the prophets said, anyway.

Silently, she closed her eyes, taking a deep breath, as if to inhale the very essence of death that this meteor represented. Even if the prophets were wrong - which she wholly expected was the case - there was no denying the death that was to come. With Iwagakure destroyed, the balance of the five nations had been broken. Plans for war were already well underway in all of the great countries, and Kumogakure was no exception - and, more importantly, as a Genin, Muei was going to be involved. It was certainly a far cry from the last mission she had: the literal request to locate a needle in a haystack. ("So the horses won't choke on it," they said.)

With a newly relaxed exhalation, Muei opened her eyes again, pulling a scroll, a brush, and a vial of ink out of the pouch on the back of her hip. If she was going to be out here, she may as well get some seal practice in. Her trap barriers had been a little lacking lately...

PostSubject: Re: Temples and Tribulations - Kumo’s Official Starfall Opening Thread Temples and Tribulations - Kumo’s Official Starfall Opening Thread EmptySat 24 Apr 2010, 5:10 am

Riku woke up this morning thinking that the day would not be different to any other that had passed. Nothing seems out of the ordinary, and nothing was to be placed as unusual. But she would be wrong on a day like this, as it would change the fate of life itself and forever bring conflict, war and pain to all far reaches of the world.

There was a single yellow glow light from atop of the great Raikage Tower which served as a becon across the vast mountains. Like always Riku was sitting behind her long stone desk, a cup of tea which was now cold lay to the right of a large pile of paperwork which needed to be completed by the woman. She had been in their all afternoon and now edging well into the night. She was ready for a long night ahead of her with boring paperwork to complete and long tedious amounts of stamping to be done. The night was still outside and a pin drop could be heard even from atop the high tower. There was no wind in the air and the long dark sky spread its blanket of stars for all kumo members to see, it was truely a beautiful spectical. The beautiful woman got up from her seat and stretched her limbs in a long and lenghty sigh. She walked to the balcony to take a five minute break from her work and to look out over the wonderous village that she was in charge of. She had been in the position for a wee while now but she could still pinch herself that she was chosen to be the third leader of the Village Hidden in the Clouds.

But the night wasn't like any other. Riku looked up while holding her hand to her mouth yawning, she was tired. She fixed her eyes on a large glowing green light which seemed to take up most of the sky. For a while she stood confused, wondering if it was just a one and a lifetime astral event, something beautiful and unexpected to look at. But, when she looked down and heard the noise of many people around the God's Memorial Temple she started to think. The temple was fully lit and there were 1000's of people gathered around the holy site. Riku knew that this day held no significance so instantly she picked this as being unusual and went to check it out. She walked back into her office and put her Raikage coat over her shoulders as it was starting to cooldown outside. She walked out of the bottom of her building and began to walk to the temple, the streets were empty. She looked up again at the sky and the green glowing light which seemed to intensify everytime she looked at it. As she walked closer to the temple she start to see people chatting and moving in an unfestive manner. Many people were preying and even some were crying.

Riku found this particularly odd and was now more than interested to get to the bottom of the situation. She was about to run before her body froze, her face turned pale and a single line of sweat roled down the side of her face. She knew what this was about as she swallowed awkwardly. "No, No, not now. Surely this can't be happening now. This can't be true." she said out loud, her voice was starting to shake. Within an instant she picked up speed, and was at the temple within a second. She had no time to loose and her speed was something to be marvelled at within itself. To the people at the temple it would have only been a blur, but she rushed her way up the long steps and to the enterence. Riku jumped up high to avoid the large crowds of people. How could she be so oblivious to the signs, to all the people. She landed at the top of the Memorial building next to the official monks of the temple and some high ranking shinobi of the village who were talking amungst themselves in a way which looked to be worried from an external view.

Riku walked up to them with clenched fists in a sight of rage. As she got the group the men and women thye turned and instantly dropped to their knees "Raikage-Sama". Riku was now red in the face with rage, "Did any of you plan on telling me whats going on here!" she said with anger and frustration in her voice. She was fuming when the monks explained what she fine well knew. "It is coming isn't it, the beast that was fortold in the scriptures is coming!" her voice once again shaking. She was nervous and was too angry to hide it. "We do not warn the people yet as we ourselves don't know if this is truly what will happen, we just need to sit and wait. I will address the people when ready and if so we will make the right procautions." She ushered the monks to go out amongst the crowds and to calm the people down. She then took a seat up high in the temple over looking the crowds of people that had now doubled in number. Under her robe she clenched her fists together, closing her eyes. She was preying that her suspicions were only that, suspicions. That her village, her people, and the entire world would be safe and that the coming events were not what she thought.

She opened her eyes again and looked down on her people. With two ninja to each of her side and 3 monks rallied in front of her she took a deep breath a looked down amongst the people. They would all have to wait for what was to come, and they would all have to be ready for the worst.

All day, priests and preachers had been giving their vocal boxes quite the exercise. From what Miku Tetsumi could overhear, most people had seemed to dub them as loony or deranged, yet everyone had joined the crowd to watch for what the priests and preachers had told. A meteour shower was to take up the space in the skies. To Miku, the event sounded more like a light show at a festival than something to be scared of. This would explain why she joined the masses dressed in her formal festival attire. She wore her mother's old mini-kimono from when she was a teenager. It was made of a soft cotton, radiating in a aqua blue color, with a pattern of white waves decorating along the hem of her kimono. Her legs were shielded from any stray winds by sheer white tights. Little yellow and white flowers complimented her vibrant orangish-pinkish-reddish hair, that was swept to one side of her face. Miku wiggled her toes in her sandals, anticipating the meteors. How soon would they start? Would it not happen at all? If it did happen, would she be disappointed? Those thoughts could be found somewhere in the young woman's mind. She figured she still had a few more minutes and took her gaze away from the skies to view the large mass of Kumogakure no Sato citizens. A familiar face stood out from the crowd every now and then, but she held off on actually speaking to anyone until after the event. 'Then, everyone could express their reactions together, and it'll be just like at a slumber party!' Miku thought, in a childish and girlish-gushing like manner.

She returned her emerald eyes back to the skies only to see the back of someone's head. It took a moment, but she then realized the crowd had grown and was now blocking her vision of the horizon. Her eyebrow raised and she attempted to tap the gentleman on the shoulder. Nothing happened. Miku had gone unnoticed. She let out a small sigh and jumped up once or twice, but to no avail. Her movements ceased as she put some thought to it. The young woman was not about to miss the opportunity of a life time simply because a taller individual was in her way. So, she moved all five feet and three inches of herself to find a different location to view the big night sky. She stumbled in the slightest while attempting to find a new spot within a reasonable time frame and stubbed her toe on a stray rock. A yelp was let out and nearly ten people jumped, some letting out a yelp of their own. Miku stared back at their startled faces with a pained and yet amused facial expression. She muffled her laughter with the sleeve of her kimono as she gained her balance again. They glared at her and turned back to face the stars, ignoring the cackling female. Miku continued to replay everyone's expressions in her head, snickering and cackling as she ran off, desperately looking for a spot to use.

Finally, she realized that she would need a more creative way of thinking to find a spot. She looked left and right, up and down, resting her wandering eyes on a young man up on a tree branch. Her lips pursed together as she mused. 'Why didn't I think of that?!' Miku questioned loudly in her head. With little effort, she found a tree of her own, and jumped up to branch. This caused the tree branch to shake in the slightest, but otherwise held her weight. She wasn't that heavy after all! She let out a relieved sigh. Her heart raced with anticipation and her palms began to sweat. Before looking back to the stars, the young woman looked at the expressions of the citizens. Why was everyone so nervous? Had she missed some information about the meteors? No one seemed as excited as she did? These thoughts made Miku shudder. Everyone was making her nervous, now. 'Am I supposed... To be... Nervous? Should I be?' She questioned, worried with a knot tying in her stomach. Her signature smirk could no longer be seen. Off in the distance she peered at her Raikage. Miku could only recall speaking to her a few times, but she always dreamed of one day working closer to her. Who didn't want to work with the Raikage? She was an inspiration to Kumogakure no Sato! A woman with power, but love for her village! The kunoichi's eyes glistened, wondering what was going through the kage's head. Was she worried? Was she excited? Was she annoyed? No one could really know, but she had to wonder. It was then that something else caught her attention...

PostSubject: Re: Temples and Tribulations - Kumo’s Official Starfall Opening Thread Temples and Tribulations - Kumo’s Official Starfall Opening Thread EmptySat 24 Apr 2010, 9:19 am

He was in a surprisingly pensive mood today. It would seem as though another day would pass that the world would leave forgotten. A pillar, broken at the top as if some sort of ruin would be his perch. Slightly slanted due to the angle of the fracture, he would have to sit on his toes and lean forward slightly in order to balance himself perfectly to the stone pillar he had made his seat for the occasion... Here he was far from the crowds and all of the other. He was not put on any duty to watch over the people. Crowd control wasn't his strong point, as in public he was far too nice to any individual to push and shove them into any sort of force order. He prefer a more subtle touch. But in any case, what brought him out here was the same thing that everyone else stood in wait for. A meteor shower. Perhaps the scale and wonder that came with this event would make this day one that wouldn't be so easily forgotten in the minds of man. Maybe people could grow from this as he so wished to do so.

It was moments before it was scheduled. The monks of this area had so perfectly recorded the night sky that they could predict something as beautiful as this. He wouldn't at all be able to keep up with the mathematic numerology or the significance though he imagined that just as earth and the event here had a lesson to teach so did the sky. Today, he looked upward to see if he might understand the lesson that they had been taught and were perhaps still learning, from the grandeur of the sky. As he watched and waited, he took in something that perhaps other wouldn't. Though they were looking on for sight of shooting stars, he was distracted by the stationary ones. Astronomy was what made tonight possible. How was it that they, the monks, by studying this very sky could predict this moment. He looked to the sky and begged for it to speak to him...

The pulsing hearts of the many people that surrounded him glow in his mind to, and he was surrounded like fireflies by the warm glow of the reminder of all of the people that he had to protect and all that he could share his life with and vice versa. Here was peaceful, and now, in the pensive moments of thought, he had a chill of happiness roll up his spine and a smile itch at the corner of his lips... This is what he lived for.

But... the smile was short lived.

A feeling like none other. One of malice. The world itself braced itself as he could feel a disturbance of the north and south pole. Something entering the earths atmosphere... no, forcing its way in like a dirty old pervert having his way with the innocence of a young child. This feelings was disorienting as the world around him seemed to spin. So much so that he winced and brought his hand to his temple to focus. What was it that was causing this?! He looked to the crowd for their reaction. Was he the only one that noticed? Was this a result of his KKG? And for a moment he looked on in horror as he could no longer feel the pulse of those around him. His eyes shot to the sky and he swallowed hard and stood. It was obvious that because of his pulse element bloodline he would notice such a disturbance that no one else would. But what now?

As in the distance a group of birds could be seen lifting into the air and in a swarm disappearing over the dark horizon he could only assume that those migrationary birds could also feel the electromagnetic shift that was approaching. Could it be the meteor shower? Where the villagers in danger? He could only speculate as he didn't want to cause hysteria by alerting the crowd of some unknown threat. It was possible that the event was else where that was causing this, as it was the entire electromagnetic sphere of the earth that was effected... but no, the birds senses were much sharper then his own. They would not flee unless they had good reason to do so. He swallowed once more as the muscles in his body tensed up. He had no choice but to keep a calm composure as he waited to respond. Not even the other shinobi in the area could notice his panic, otherwise they could do something rash. Almost as if on cue, a violent green light burst into the air, streaking with a red hot intensity that only he could fathom as it ripped into the atmosphere without any sign of fading away. He looked on, his eyes spread wide and glued to the sky as he waited for what was to happen next...

PostSubject: Re: Temples and Tribulations - Kumo’s Official Starfall Opening Thread Temples and Tribulations - Kumo’s Official Starfall Opening Thread EmptySat 24 Apr 2010, 8:02 pm

Bored with interest, Katou examined the sky. Lit up in an eerie green. Everyone surrounding him were either intrigued or scared. Katou was unamused. There was a lot of idle chat surrounding him as to what was happening. Closing his eyes, he began searching intensely on what this could be. Racking his memory the throbbing light should have thrown him off. Tightening his eyes, he formed a grimaced look. Stopping himself he took several deep breaths. Maybe this wasn't a normal meteor shower. Maybe, just maybe...Suddenly the gears clicked in Katou's mind. The great beast, the 6th sage. His mind raced back a couple of years when he was Chuunin studying in a temple. The beast was called Yoshimaru and was said to be the reincarnated spirit of nature itself, a god in physical form. Standing over 400ft, Katou's face was shocked, although it was clear he didn't care, but inside he was quivering. According to legend Yoshimaru had a perfect affinity to the natural order and possessed all five basic elements Earth, Water, Wind, Fire and Lightning. The monster, Yoshimaru, wrecked havoc upon the world.

'Dammit!' Katou got extremely uneasy. His mind was racking and being crippled by the thought of Yoshimaru coming back. But he did remember that the 6th Sage did cripple him and lock him up. But that was well over a millienum or something like that. Placing his hand on his face, he rubbed his forehead as he tried to order his thoughts. Born with the Ultimate Dojutsu, Redoku Sennin and it is to him that the Shinobi not only owe the secrets of jutsu and chakra manipulation but the defeat of beast. But this shinobi possessed all the skills and affinities. There is no one else like that can possess that skill, nor does anyone have the chakra capacity to accomplish it.

Before he could get much farther, the ground tremored and Katou had felt this before, 'Damn, no one told the Raikage...' His eyes were shot wide open. Even though it was a blur, he could easily spot that it was the Raikage. Lady Riku had a temper and she was probably furious beyond belief with the monks. With an attuned ear, he could hear mumbles of the Raikage with not much being deciphered. But with that she came to the Temple front and looked down upon her people. 'I'm gonna regret this but whatever...'

Quickly Shunshin'ing up, he landed with a slight wind kneeling infront of the Raikage. As he landed, the wind settled around him as his vest and hair came to rest. "Raikage-sama, is it true?" Speaking a low tone only she could hear, hopefully Lady Riku would catch on seeing as Katou was attempting to be subtle without telling the entire village that there was a deadly monster coming to destroy them all. He didn't think it would be a good idea for him to get killed by the Raikage here infront of everyone.

Sorry for short post I am a little busy.
_____________________

Jasui awoke that morning, or what he thought was the morning. Restless as usual. He thought he had only gained about 6 hours of sleep do to the fact he passed out in his bed at about 12:30 AM, he had fallen asleep out of sheer sleep deprivement, his body was constantly hyped up about the inpending meteor shower, which he could not describe, that his thoughts raised the entire night. So he looked over to his alarm clock, despite his tiredness, the clock was about 12:00 PM, surprisely he had slept for half the day. He sat up, rubbing his eyes, and than pushed off his blankets, looking out the window, even though it was light out, surprising there was a dark aura, but the aura was probably being exhibited from this green emence light, immediatly he knew that it was from the mysterious green light that kept coming closer, and closer to the earth. He knew he had to get dressed, so, he went to take a shower, and get ready for his day.

He headed out the door, dressed in his normal outfit, of a black zip up shirt over a white under shirt. The long sleeve black zip up collard shirt, had his uchiha family crest on the back, a simple fan. He wore around the collar and his neck a scarf, this simple scarf was actually his headband. He also wore simple shorts that were long and went over his knees, and to top off his general attire, his black ninja boots. His out fit was so much different than most of the people in kumo, usually favoring white, though he preferred all black. To pull together his look, he had his long hair combed straight, a few strands brushed out of his eyes, and some between his eyes, his overall hair, even though long in the front, was longer in the back, though it was nowhere near under his shoulders.

So as he walked, he made his way to the temple, where, 1000's gathered, he knew that it would be better to be with people to see this event, just like a good celebration, though as the meteor shower started, he would soon know there was going to be nothing to celebrate about...

Tahji stared into the night sky. It was glowing green. A painful eerie green. It was as if something was yelling in his mind, but that was his imagination of course. The crowd was growing so Tahji decided to jump onto a tree. There he saw the respected Raikage. He saw his sensei on the tree to his left. He also saw his teammate, Jasui.

He knew something wrong is going to happen, but he didn't know what. Tahji stood on the branch and gazed at the green sky. Everything was reflected in his eyes. His hair longer than usual. He yawned and murmered something no one can hear. "I can sense it, something's going to happen,"he said. He looked over the crowd, everyone looked nervous.

"Bye bye, earth," Tahji said. He thought he was going to die, but in sight of his dreams he is going live, no matter what. What ever he needs to face, he'll do it, but he may not die until his dreams are complete.

Temples and Tribulations - Kumo’s Official Starfall Opening Thread - Part Two - "Houston we have a Problem."

It was something truly magnificent that the masses had came to see in Kumo. The crowds which had now tripled in number, all had their eyes firmly fixed on the sky above. This astral event would be like no other, and in the back of the minds of the people who knew of the tale of Yoshimaru, a nervous shiver would form and run down their spine. The sky was completely lit-up with an eerie green which even blocked out the most demanding of stars. This unfathomable event was like nothing the people of Kumo had ever experienced. Located high above the world, Kumo had seen its fair sheer of celestial occurrences but even the most experienced of star-gazers were in awe of this spectacular sight.

Many were beginning to wonder what was actually happening high above. This unusual light had been active for nearly the whole night, but nothing had seemed to arise from it. Some believed that it would be a hoax, but others, the true believers still felt that this would be the beginning of the end. At that single moment in time their lives would all change. The green light which had hampered the sky had now significantly brightened to the point where the spectators could not look directly at it anymore, shielding their sensitive eyes from the blinding light. The meteor was making its way through the atmosphere as it hurtled towards the world at an incredible speed. Many were now screaming, mothers holding their children in their arms and fathers protecting their families from the blinding light, but none had moved a single muscle.

The giant meteor, the menacing Yoshimaru himself in a solid mass was finding its way through the sky towards the world. Within an instant a large piercing sound spread its way across the village, and many blocked their ears in fright. The large mass had now broken into small pieces, most probably given way through the world atmospheric pressure. These smaller pieces of the meteor, though still large made their way to different regions of the world almost in a calculated fashion. A single piece of the meteor was heading in the direction of the village, which only a select few could still pick out due to the blinding green light. With an amazing explosion which rocked the whole village, the piece of the meteor had crashed into the side of one of the Grey Mountains, located on the south-west side of the village. This great collision would create a landslide of large boulders, and incredible rocks which would plummet into a remote housing district which was situated at the south-west end of the village.

The second part of the opening thread takes place takes place when the meteor fragment hits the side of the rock-face of the Grey Mountains. The terror of Yoshimaru has now finally arrived. Many villagers are now screaming and are in complete chaos and panic...

All Kumo Nin to post after the Raikage has posted (i.e I will be the first person to post after this event). This is due to the fact that you will receive orders from the Raikage on what to do in this emergency. If you do not follow this your post will be deleted, I will try and post as soon as I can. If you did not post in the first part of this thread due to reasons out of your control, you are able to post in the second section. Any RPing is encouraged here. Good Luck

The light, the explosion, the power, the chaos, the pain. It had finally arrived, what Riku had dreaded most had finally arrived. She didn't know what to expect was the beast itself coming to the ninja world and send it into chaos, or would it be preserved in the rock as it had been through space for such a long time? These would be questions that she would ask herself but could never answer. The green light was so incredibly blinding that even the Raikage, for an intense had to shudder in its dominance. But she knew that she had to keep her eyes firmly fixed on the events which were taking place in the sky, it was her job to protect Kumo and all the innocent lives within it. If anything happened to her people she could not forgive herself for standing back and doing nothing, after all that Kumo had been through she had to act not react to the situation in hand. As the coming event in the sky started to move a one of the Raikages jounin by the name Katou Gomu quickly flickered to her side. "Raikage-sama, is it true?". She turned and looked at the young man who was now looking up at her with glowing eyes. It was as if this man represented the spirit of all her people. She could see the confusion and slight fear in his eyes, yet the staunch and strong nature as well.

Before she could open her mouth and speak to Katou there was a huge explosion in the air where the meteor was sailing, it was on the move. It has now split up into smaller pieces, each fragment making its way across the world in a different manner. She only had time to act. It was as if a second gear and just rotated in her mind, though Riku was thinking all the time, calculating each possible outcome or probability this gear was something separate from that. It was something that not many ninja possess to an elite leave; it was something that could possibility is the most important tool to a ninja. This gear was leadership. Riku spoke softy to the man next to her, this would be the ultimate test of courage and capability the Raikage wanted from him "Follow my lead." Within an instant Riku snapped into action. As if in the movies she flung her long, white Raikage robe off her shoulders and moved at such speeds that it was as if the movement was in slow motion.

She moved behind her large chair and swiftly moved to the monks and priest who all had their eyes fully fixed on the events, some were even in a crouched position covering themselves in fear, out of no where there was an even larger explosion. Riku turned around startled to see the side of the Grey Mountain being hit by a fragment of the meteor. The impact was monstrous, as the fragment was moving at unimaginable speeds. It caused a disastrous landslide that would send large boulders and rocks down the hill into the south-west side of the village which was closest to the impacted Grey Mountains. There was a large housing settlement which occupied mostly the lower-class citizens of the village. "Shit!" Riku screamed. She turned to her priests who were all dazed and frightened by what had just happened. "Attention! I need all your help this is of the most importance." the priest and monks how shook off any doubt they might have had and listened to their leader "I need you to go amongst the crowds of people and gather every able shinobi and kunoichi there is. Tell the chuunin to gather all the citizens within the crowd into the temple as quickly as possible, and the genin to run throughout the village and gather as many people to this location as they can. Go go!" Riku yelled. There was no time to either be polite or reasonable. They had to follow exactly what she said or innocent lives might be lost in the process.

She rotated her body back to the entrance of the door, and within an instant she was gone from the inside she was using every ounce of speed she had. As see moved out of the corner of her eye she noticed the young jounin, he was keeping up..barely. "Good good, but this is nothing yet, this young lad will need to sustain this for a long period of time." Riku thought to herself, but she had no time to think about that the large boulders were making their way down the mountain picking up speed at every second she wasted. Riku launched herself in the air and using her ancient Rokushiki taijutsu style instead of landing back down on the crowd she was able to walk across the air using her 'Moon Step' ability. She turned to the jounin Katou and yelled "Meet me at the impact site as fast as you can, meet up with as many jounin as possible use all the speed you can muster!" Riku ran across the air over the crowds which were in chaos. The villagers were panicking and in fright, it would be a tough challenge for the chuunin and genin to get them under control but she had faith in her ninja, they were the best in the world.

As she ran over the crowds edging her way to the impact site she formed a single handseal and gathered a small amount of chakra up from her lungs and into her throat. With this her voice would resonate even further and it would allow her to reach her target which was the jounin scatter amongst the crowd. While sitting down earlier she located all the jounin of her village that had turned up and were scattered in the crowd, she know knew their location and was going to try and get in contact as she moved. She didn't have time to individually find them, so this was the only option. She only hoped that the jounin would have looked out for her when this horrific situation arose. With her newly improved voice she located some jounin that she first spotted while seated "Miku! Junsho! any available jounin, follow me quickly to the impact site hurry there isn't much time. I will explain what to do on the way!" Within an instant she saw two figures climb from the crowd into the surrounding rooftop. With Katou quickly following behind and now two jounin within an instant she had what she thought was enough to hopefully deal with the situation.

She now picked up her pace while using Geppou. As she moved the other jounin were moving along the rooftops behind her, as they all gathered and picked up speed within range and closer to the site she would explain the plan that she had outlined to deal with the situation on the way. The adrenaline was pumping through her system. She had to move fast or innocent lives will be lost at the hand of Yoshimaru and she would not let that happen. With a look of grimace and determination on her face she looked as an unimaginable amount of boulders made their way down the Mountain side. The shear width and volume of material coming down the mountain would make this a very difficult task but it was not optional. She knew that they would not reach the area in time to stop the first wave of boulders coming down to pass into the village. She only hoped that the men, women and children in the houses made it to safety, but only time would tell. She had to focus on saving the lives she could.

Jasui looked up, the light becoming sort of hard to look at, so he decided to try something, quickely activating his sharingan. His eyes grew red, and a first tomo appeared and swirled around his eyes, than stopping at the right of the pupil. He looked up, others sheilding there eye, Jasui simply looked up, this meteor, this powerful meteor, it was not like any normal meteor, it was covered in a thick, green chakra, oh this energy was powerful, though it was pure, usually the chakra he had practiced seeing was more like fuzzy, though able to be focused on, though this, this was not any chakra he had ever seen it was pure defined one, it was not even chakra, but, something like pure energy, chakra seemed similar to this, though, this power felt ancient. His eyes started to be overwhelmed slightly, though he could not keep his eyes off of the meteor. It soon crashed on the far side of the mountain, as soon as it happened the whole earth seemed to shit off its orbit, the whole place rocked and tremored, a giant deafening explosion sounded. As soon as this happened he had no hearing, the only thing he heard was his heart beating, people frantic and running everywhere, and soon he got his hearing back, the sound hit him like a bus. As he got sound back he noticed orders being shouted for shinobi to follow, jonin heading off to the meteor site, though he didnt listen for chuunin, he listened for genin's duties. A woman spoke passing by him, just catching the site of his headbands. "Genin run for the village and gather as many people as you can to this location. Go to this of top priority." He immediatly ran through the crowd, heading for homes and stores that people would be in too lead them to this location.

OOC: Im going to wait for my next post to actually gather the people.

Miku literally gasped, hand covering her mouth, emerald eyes widened and watering due to lack of blinking. The magnificent colors of green filled the sky, demanding everyone's attention, including the young woman's. She felt entranced and light headed. It was so beautiful and terrifying at the same time. The bittersweet sound of destruction rang in Miku's ears as she turned to the Grey Mountains, crushed by an offspring of the meteor. Again, the kunoichi gasped. She finally blinked and rubbed her eyes. 'I-It's really happening!', thoughts stirring in her head. The sky glowed. The meteor fell. It broke apart. Attacked the Grey Mountains. Caused destruction. Yes, it really did happen. Miku's fingers twitched and she felt frozen in place. The mass of citizens of Kumogakure scattered and almost appeared to just be running in circles. They screamed and yelled, ran over each other, and shoved one another. Sure, most of the parents were attempting to be calm around their children, but Miku knew the look of panic when she saw one.

Suddenly, her ears perked up as she heard her name being called. It was the booming voice of no other than the Raikage herself! The message was urgent and demanding. Things were defiantly going down. Miku needed to move her legs and kick it in high gear. "Yes, Lady Raikage!" She answered, even throwing in a salute. Swiftly and without hesitation, the kunoichi began to follow the most powerful woman, in pursuit after the Grey Mountains. She ran hard and pumped as much as energy as she could through-out her body. Her low heeled sandals clacked upon impact with each jump from rooftop to rooftop. They weren't the best shoes to be running in, but what could she do? Miku ignored the small pain that circulated in her feet and remained her determination on the situation at hand. Even though the attempt was futile, she continued to attempt in keeping up with the Raikage's speed. Her heart beat accelerated, pounding like a drum, and rhythmic like a song. It replayed in her ears, refusing to go away. She clenched her fists and spoke nothing even though her head swam with questions. A decorative flower fell from her hair and off somewhere, but she didn't care. Their was much more important things going on. Her hair flew back behind her, making her orangish-pinkish-reddish hair appear as untamed flames. Miku's cheeks were now hot to the touch and a rose pink, palms sweating and chest rising up and down rapidly.

The young woman glanced at the mountains as crushed rock rolled off of them in an ungraceful manner. It brought on an unsettling and disturbing feeling, tying a tighter knot in Miku's stomach. She prayed for the children, woman, and men. Hell, she even prayed for the people's pets and special belongings should they survive. She then glanced at the Raikage who was running in front of the brigade of jounin following her. Her emerald eyes then locked onto her fellow jounin. The kunoichi recognized their faces from the occasional meetings that used to take place. She even recognized some from when they were all children at the simple rank of genin. Miku wondered how they were feeling about the situation. That's when she recalled her memory of her parents. 'H-How could I forget?! My parents!! They must be worried sick! I wonder if they're alright!' She thought, steadily fixating her gaze on the back of the Raikage's head. It was true that her parents didn't reside near the Grey Mountains, but of course she thought of them. The group inched closer to the crash site. Miku felt a stronger anxious wave wash over her. Perhaps her medical ninjutsu would aid any injured civilians? Hopefully, she wouldn't have to use any, but for some reason she highly doubted that. Would any of her clan techniques show use? She didn't like the idea of being useless and was going to make damn sure she wasn't. Besides, Miku enjoyed being a hero and the praises that came with it. Oh how she did indeed. Not that she was cocky or full of herself. Didn't everyone like being complimented? She let out a deep breath as they continued chase after the Grey Mountains. 'How is this night going to end?'

Staring into the Raikage's eyes, he showed a little fear, but ready to follow her lead into anything. She opened her mouth ready to speak before a huge explosion errupted over the sky. THe earth tremored, the sky lit up, chaos spewed. "Follow my lead." The only 3 words Katou needed. His entire substance snapped and sprung into action. A second explosion, even larger, occured on the side of the Grey Mountain being hit by a fragment of the meteor. The impact was enormous, as the fragment was moving at unimaginable speeds. It caused a disastrous landslide that would send large boulders and rocks down the hill into the south-west side of the village which was closest to the impacted Grey Mountains. Being made of rubber he moved faster than most shinobi, but he still had to push himself to keep up with Lady Riku.

As he travelled across the rooftops, he met up with another Jounin. Miku. He had met her once briefly, and hopefully she would remember him. "Miku, let's push it into gear, we need to protect and assist Lady Raikage!" Katou had to shout over the chaos that was ensuing. Stealing a glance back, Chuunin and Genin were gathering citizens and trying get organized, but it wasn't going over so smoothly. The Genin were panicing, they weren't able to keep everything in order, it wasn't going well. Biting his lip, his main job was to help the Raikage.

Looking towards the mountains, there was a billowing cloud of smoke as it was thick and dense.
'Damn!' Jumping rooftop from rooftop, Katou held the lead on Miku just from the sheer fact he was faster. The tremors were strong, but the Jounin withstood it easily. Looking forward, the Grey Mountains were literally black and grey, covered in a veil of smoke. Grinding his teeth, they needed to move fast otherwise lives would be at stake, and Katou was not going to lose any lives. Putting a small amount of chakra into his feet, as he landed, he launched off the rooftop, leaving a crater, and lunged high into the air and was racing forward slightly, they needed to move fast otherwise it could end poorly.

PostSubject: Re: Temples and Tribulations - Kumo’s Official Starfall Opening Thread Temples and Tribulations - Kumo’s Official Starfall Opening Thread EmptySat 01 May 2010, 10:55 pm

As the crowd reacted and the spectacle itself took place in front of their eyes, the panic was more of less a cover for an extended number of actions. He would rather have had time to react without the screaming masses and scared numbers having reacted, but it was too late to stop that. There was something odd as he clamped his jaw and swallowed hard. The meteor, even in fragments was far too powerful and fast to have been as weak of an impact. It was still large enough to demolish a side of a mountain but in all honesty, something like that should have easily created a shockwave strong enough to whip Kumogakure out. Something had not only slowed the meteors trajectory before impact but also contained the blast itself. It was outrageous. Already Kumogakure shinobi were acting and the Raikage herself was already in action. It wasn't too much of a shock but really he wasn't a big fan of her either but he would be penalized for not reporting to her. He had to multitask in this situation and he could do so best with a shadow clone or two...

He created two shadow clones. He himself rushed off in the direction of the blast zone itself. One shadow clone ran toward the Raikage to team up with her and the few others that were looking for instruction and as the last ran downward the mountain to scout out the damage.

~From his own perspective~

He didn't want to be seen really. He moved quickly and without hesitation through the masses as a blur. He used the streets, not the roof tops as he wasn't at all going to stand out. He alone would sense the massive amount of EM waves that this thing carried with it and thus his pulse element allowed him to focus on the center of it. Locked on the target deep within his senses; though the epicenter was lodged into the mountain itself, a single beacon that almost called out to him. What was this power? He had no way of knowing for now but sped off with nothing but a surge of energy and excitement. He wasn't afraid, for if this was meant to destroy them he believed it already would. The irrational drive of a hero...

~From the perspective of the first clone~

This clone was created with the mission of catching up with the Kage, who had quickly enlisted as many that were in the area as possible. It wasn't that hard to catch up with them quietly moving behind her, trying to take in as many details as possible. He was very aware of the ability of the shadow clone and if any interesting information was discovered then he would want to let his real self know. At least in this way he was both gathering intel and helping, though all he was able to grasp at this point was the site of Grey Mountain getting torn a new one and the village bellow awaiting destruction. There was no time for anyone to do anything about it, in fact, even running at this point would only even be an option for shinobi as normal individuals would find themselves quickly caught by the incoming sheet of earth that was barreling toward them. It was a sad site, but not one that anyone but god himself, could command... if there was a god...

~From the perspective of the Second clone~

His mission was a strict one. He took off down the mountain, running through the wooded areas toward the bottom of the mountain where the doom village itself was. As he emerged from the wooded area and hurled himself off a cliff he would land in a rocky outstretch that looked outward at the site of the rock slide from a more grounded perspective. This clone had one purposes and that was to map out the area as best as possible before extinguishing himself to pass on the information to the original and first clone. He formed the necessary hand signs and then planted his hand into the ground to form the "World Mapping Technique". With this he was able to assess the situation, but eh sheer mass of movement among the earths surface made it more then a task of absolute focus, He could map out the village but would have to wait and watch it be destroyed and settled before he could fully take in the site and pass on accurate information. For the time being he had to do his best, because every minor detail could be one of importance...

'What's all this fuss about...' Akemi thought to herself, but those thoughts soon trailed off as she and Inazuma stumbled upon what was happening the Grey Mountains. All this devastation and confusion that she couldn't quite pinpoint from where she was stood, which was right at the back of it all. There were many villagers rushing around her, and all she could do was stand there in shock, her eyes wide and un-blinking. 'Why... why can't I move? Am I... am I that petrified?' The voice in her head was one of extreme uncertainty, which made her feel worse, sick, and a little dizzy as she swayed on the spot. Inazuma barked loudly at her master, trying desperately to snap the girl out of the trance she seemed to have entered. The puppy tugged on Ameki's boots and managed to get her master to back away slowly. All the time Akemi shook her head.
"What... this can't be happening... this can't be happening!" She cried, her hands flying up to either side of her head, knuckles turning white from pure fear.

Inazuma became more forceful and growled a lot more fiercely, telling Akemi that they had no time to stay paralysed in fear just watching the scene. Fellow shinobi started to run past, and Akemi gasped, taking off after them as they seemed to be going on a safe route. There seemed to be a Chuunin among a few Genin that were panicing and getting distraught over what happened. 'Right... in that case, I have to help. No more being weak and showing fear, no matter how hard it may be! I have to be a part of my village, and aid in whatever way I can!' She thought firmly to herself as Inazuma barked in encouragement.

"Excuse me!" Akemi shouted loudly to the Chuunin and Genin, waving an arm. It seemed almost impossible to get through to them since there was just an unbreakable mesh of raised voices. "Excuse me!" She shouted again, hoping that time she was noticed. Even though she had given herself a talking to in order to snap herself out of her stupor, her hands were still pale white and shaking violently.

It was startling. From the yelling outside, and people running around in the streets, there was obviously something huge going down at that very moment. Just a minute earlier, Sayuri had been awoken by a blindingly bright light. Then a huge crash and an earthquake made sure to insist that Sayuri was up and moving around. Of course, she was. Looking around the ground from the second floor of her home, Sayuri could see that large amounts of people were running in different directions and ninja were herding them into a specific direction away from where the crash had deviated from. The only thing that could have possibly happened was maybe a volcano erupting. Even then, Sayuri couldn't explain this creeping bad feeling that spread throughout her body. She quickly went downstairs and awoke her step parents and hurried them out the door without so much as an explanation. They were a bit miffed at first, but upon seeing the panic outside, they became more cooperative and followed the crowd. Sayuri turned to help with the other ninja, but her parents grabbed her, asking her where she was going. " I'm a ninja now remember. I have a responsibility to my village to help them now. It seems they need all they can get." With that, she disappeared into an influx of people that were running away.

She approached the nearest tall building and jumped to its roof. People were still panicking, but the ninja had taken control of the situation for the most part, here and there, genin and chuunin were gathering up people and making sure they were headed in the correct direction for escape. It was then she noticed that the mountains had been hit by something huge. No jutsu could have done this, so it had to have been some thing of crazy luck, allowing something that huge to hit their mountains. Even worse, large boulders had been dislodged and rolled down the same mountains, preparing to do very large amounts of damage. Thinking through the ideal situations and moves in only a few seconds, Sayuri pertained that her Raikage would send the more powerful ninja to destroy the boulders while the weaker ones, like genin and chuunin, would be expected to keep up with the people as they were evacuated.

Sayuri looked around again and noted that there were a decent amount of people doing the 'herding' so to speak. She wanted to be of as much use as possible. Without another thought, she headed in the opposite direction of the fleeing people. Directly toward the mountains. Excitement flowed through her veins as she ran from across another roof and jumped onto a decorative tiled roof. This could be very dangerous, but nothing has been very interesting recently. The Raikage might be mad that I joined in on this part of the operation, but hey, I didn't receive any direct orders, and how would she know that I could deduce her orders from the situation. Either way, I'm going to do something important. Those thoughts crossed her mind casually with no trepidation present in her excitement. The rooftops blurred as the seconds and distance passed. The mountains grew ever closer, and with them the people and ninja grew much less frequent until they faded away. All the people in this area had been evacuated. Sayuri stood for a second, letting her eyes wander the emptiness before charging onward to the mountain.

When the meteor hit, Shinzui was still fast asleep. Waking up from the Bright green glow that shined through his window, he woke up a bit. Noticing the strange light, he thought people where partying at first. When he was about to close his eyes, he heard a loud explosion. Jumping out of bed, he ran to the window and stared outside, trying to see what was happening outside. Looking outside, he saw large groups of people running through the streets in panic. Getting himself dressed, he packed his swords and went outside.

On the streets, it was hard to get to someone who was not to freaked out to talk. Looking around, he noticed a few guard that tried to keep the crowd under control. Asking them what was going on, they mumbled things about a prophecy, a demon and the end of the world.

Pushing through the crowd, he noticed that the grey mountains where eminating a green glow and alot of smoke rose up from it. Also, he saw jounin move towards them which was suspicious to him. Moving up on a roof, he looked around and spotted that his fellow genin where helping the villagers to a safe spot. Jumping from roof to roof, he made his way to the gray mountains. Keeping a safe distance from the jounin, he took a different route to get to the crash site.

Since there was a chance that he wasnt allowed to go there, he kept low and moved silently towards the location the jounin where heading. Once he arrived, he saw that there was alot more to this explosion then he first thought. jumping down from the ridge, he landed a bit lower and hid in the rocks using the Shadowing stealth technique. Hoping to find out what was happening, he listhened closely to what the people that where near the green rock had to say.

Wanizame apparently was having a terrible night, first being drawn up to the temple he normally avoided to be away from the monks and religious types and now there seemed to be the apocalypse was happening right in front of him. The shaking ground nearly through him off his feet as the crowds around him went from marvelous wonder to panic and terror in the span of seconds. Wincing as the screams began, his pulse honestly didn’t pick up at all until he saw the mobilization of his fellow shinobi. Though the circumstances weren’t exactly the best for the village, it was fortuitous enough to finally pull him off of the bench and back into the work he was built for.

Feet pushed off the ground as hand signs formed quite calmly in front of his chest, the body flicker moving him to the closest group of moving ninja to receive orders and set out on his respective tasks set for him by his superiors. From the street to a rooftop, a chuunin he’d never met before was kind enough to direct him towards the appropriate tasks. Round up villagers around the village and bring them back here for their safety? It wasn’t exactly grand, but anything was better than sitting around with all these screaming idiots who panicked at the smallest situation. Wanizame would never tell anyone, but he was actually getting more nervous than he would ever admit in his entirely life.

With his goals in mind, it didn’t take a moment for him to set out into the village proper to gather those who hadn’t already come up the temple to watch the celestial event at hand. From roof to wall and from wall to fence before his feet pushed hard off of that to land semi-gracefully in a roll onto the tile roof below. He takes only a second, hands reaching behind his back and tugging away a single senbon to jam into his thumb and draw blood. He had never summoned Nigai in a state of emergency and he really prayed that she wasn’t in a bad mood, or at least not a bad enough mood to deny him of her help entirely.

Hand touching the ground and his chakra sent out like a beacon for her observation, he closes his eyes and waits to feel the air in front of him shift with her sudden appearance. She may not be of strength to carry a single person for more than a few minutes, but she could very well help dig through any rubble created by the tremors sent through the mountain by the impact, and that was an ability he knew he could count on her for in the proper mood. With the air shifting towards him and a puff of smoke, he opened his eyes to spot the majestic Nigai with a single set of instructions delivered promptly and politely.

“Madame Crow, we need to spot and rescue survivors quickly. Can you move some of the debris if needed?”

“Of course wormchild, it would be nice to stretch my wings with use other than to simply fly.”

Nodding, he took off towards the village while Nigai took a moment to gain speed and wind under her wings with a few flaps that sent dirt and small stones scattering beneath the powerful gusts that soon propelled her off of the roof and into the sky to follow Wanizame to those who needed their help below.

Riku was moving at speed to the impact zone, her vision slgihtly blurred at each side of her eye and buildings, forests and lanes all oved in quick succession past her, she was moving that was for sure. She turned to see how many were following her, as she counted in her head she realised that she had enough able shinobi and kunoichi to do what she intended. They were only a few seconds away from the impact site now so Riku intended to act. She was going to tell her ninja which way to go and what to do. This would only be a broad summoning of action as they were all talented ninja in their own right and had the right instincts to do the job. But in every emergency situation the leader of the village has to take action and that was exactly what Riku was going to do. There would be nothing that would stop her from protecting the village, and every second that was wasted, another person or part of her village was being destroyed and she couldn't let that happen.

She turned her back and started to run backwards still using her 'Geppou' technique as she glided through the air. The shinobi and kunoichi who were following behind looked up and with that eye contact Riku started to speak "Ok, we are close to the impact zone so listen carefully there are some specific duties that I ask of you." Riku shouted in a booming and authoritive voice. "Miku! go the bottom of the impact zone where the landslide has affected the village. Use your bloodline ability to put up some kind of temporary barrier to stop anything else blasting through. Then evacuation all villagers in the region and use any medical care necessary. Gather any ninja in the area to help. Go!" Riku shouted. The young kunoichi then darted of in the left of the direction to do her duty, she was a talented kunoichi and her medical assistance would come in handy. Riku then turned the other ninja who were following. They would be the assault team on this mission. She had to clear away as much debree as possible and go right to the source of the problem and plug it there, but she couldn't do it alone. The site was hazardous to say the least, the ground unstable and don't forget the giant boulders crashing down the mountain at incredible speeds.

"Katou, Junsho I will need your help in clearing away the mess at the impact site. Katou use your bloodline for a wide range to gather any falling rock and crush it. I will need you to be lower on the mountain to gather anything that Junsho and I miss." She nodded at the man. She then began to speak directly to Junsho "You and I will go straight up to the impact zone, Your abilities of mapping out the area will come in handy as we need to access the damage and stop it at its source. We need to hurry so follow me! Go!" As the ninja all went to do their respective tasks Riku pushed up high with her Geppou dodging most of the debree on the mountain. But she could onyl sustain a general height with the ability, and as she entered higher onto the mountain, she would not be able to sustain the ability. Riku was at her limit, so released her ability and landed down on the mountain side, her partner was now with her and they stood side by side. "Ready? Darling." she winked at Junsho and then smiled. She then speed off up the mountain with her partner following closely. She released a single handseal and said "Soru: Razor" at that point her speed increased and she used a combination of her Geppou and Soru ability. She leviated slightly above the ground but moved incredibly high speeds zigzagging her way through the mountain boulders and rocks crashing down in front of her.

She had to keep a maximum amount of concentration in front of her as at this speed it was hard to move in a calculated order let alone dodge giant boulders in front of her. As she moved she channelled chakra into her fists and started to crush the rocks which came into her way. The power was impressive completely shattering the rocks into pieces, something only a taijutsu master could achieve. But she was completely focussed on the task ahead. They were quickly making their way up the mountain and when they got to the top they would need to plug the damage which was started to intensify, the worst is only to come. A quick thought went back to her fellow ninja and she wondered how they were doing. She then saw a split image out the side of her eye of Junsho, he was moving to the side of her and they were nearly in tandom. His speed was impressive, but Riku already knew he was a talented shinobi. His help would be imperlative to their success and she woudl call on his knowledge and talent when at the impact site. The rocks were now intensifing and Riku was now throwing punches and Kick in every direction to stop her being crushed by the boulders, she moved quickly between them and over them dodging and diving to find the fastest route to the top. The impact site was coming closer, and she wondered what would be their waiting for them at the top.

Tahji felt the ground shake. He saw a monk coming towards him and yelled, "Go gather all the citizens here!" Tahji nodded and took off. He jumped from his tree to a house he saw with a light on. He knocked and yelled, "Raikage's order! Gather at the temple!" He heard a rustling noise and took off, he looked behind and saw a few people coming out the house.

He jumped to the orphanage. There, he told the owner that everyone was to gather at the temple. Tahji took off, and heard the gather bell ring. Then a group of children and a few adults came rushing out of the orphanage.

He jumped into the sky and went to the last house with a light open. He knocked but there seemed to be no one in the house, so Tahji took off. He jumped from rooftop to rooftop until he arrived back at the temple.
