The Temple Guard: Battle in the Forest of Fog

The dew clung heavily to the surrounding leaves, the thin haze of mist lingering in the forest reducing visibility to minimal levels. There had been reports lately of Suna shinobi operating in her area. The small temple she stood outside of had been a shrine to the gods before Kiri had been established, and in spite of its small size was one of the more important landmarks in Kirigakure’s landscape. Behind it’s solid stone walls, and beyond the rows of seating and crumbling altar was a small laboratory, which held one of the elusive Chakra Cyrstals Kiri had claimed during the previous months of this war.

Saya was stationed here to guard this temple alone, though a few other shinobi were already hard at work in the hidden laboratory, working on extracting the great power of th crystal. Such an obvious target had seen the need for protection, however it’s obscure location deep in the forest of fog also provided it with a natural form of protection. Secrecy ensured none knew where it was, however Shinobi certainly had their ways of finding such locations. Spear in hand, Saya stands a constant and stoic vigil.

She speaks no words, no complaints, nor praises to the gods of the temple behind her. She stands in utter silence, her ears straining to detect any sounds beyond the wind in the branches, and slow drip of gathering mist falling from leaves. The mist of the forest reduced visibility to about 50 feet, which made this job all the more perilous for Saya. While she could easily see across the small clearing surrounding the temple, her line of sight ended at the mist shrouded tree line. Sneak attacks were all to easy with such an advantage, yet Saya’s “strategy” is certainly questionable.

There was but one entrance into the temple, a pair of sturdy wooden double doors, which Saya was standing directly in front of. Three stone steps were infront of her, elevating her only some two feet off of the soft, damp earth. Behind her cloak and her mask it was hard to make out any details of the girl, however the large wave symbol marks her as an obvious Kirigakure ninja.

"There are three shinobi inside of the temple, that i can be sure of. "

Said a female with a noticeable Suna headband on her head. She was closing her eyes as she finished speaking trying to concentrate her 'mind's eye'. She was a sensory Ninja in Blaize's Team. With the Land's mist all around them she was a valueable person to add to the team. She detected wear the general location of the Crystal was located. Although the Crystal itself was hidden with some sort of special jutsu or secret from within, she was able to locate shinobi using a high amount of chakra within one area. This was Day 2 in the land.

In turn Blaize was thinking. he was the captain of the team of four shinobi. Two Chuunin and Two Genin. They were here to infiltrate the temple and capture the crystals. If the mission was compromised then they would be able to capture one of the kiri shinobi so they could interrogate what they knew about the crystals. He knew that the plan of capturing the shinobi would be a surprise to the enemy. Why? Because the land of Kiri was all about the crystals. As well as getting land and more crystals. So the shinobi left would be able to secure the village. So this area here was not defended by more shinobi but, the use of the Mist and Fog around this village. This is why they had a limited number of shinobi.

Only one word came from his mouth as he herd of the situation form the sensor shinobi.
"Rank"

The Sensory shinobi nodded to him as she then spoken.
"Genin, a chuunin, and the third one seems like a chuunin but the chakra is higher then the others. maybe a KKG or a recent Jounin. As well as one more, a solo shinobi. In front of the temple. Seems like a Genin rank."

Blaize took in the information in hand and thought of the best situation at hand.

"Lets see here. If we send out genin against the other genin, the kiri genin has the advantage of being home territory. not to mention the element of surprise is on that shinobi's side. Also even if our shinobi was to defeat the genin we don;t know if they will send in another shinobi out to stop him while we infiltrate the Temple. While we may go and get the crystal they will use our shinobi as blackmail. So the next level up will go on next. Hmm.. i guess i can go on and take him down. Hopefully a swift as possible battle so we can take what we need and flea. Alright the plans we made up will be made it seems like plan B will shift to our plan A. Alright it seems we have no choice."

Blaize reached into his pockets and taken out three circular objects as he handed them, one to each team member.

"Plan B Everyone"

As he spoken to all of them. They all looked at each other and Nodded at the situation at hand. Blaize nodded to all of them as he then spoken.

"Good Luck everyone. Remember the mission."

As he said those words he got up as he did a few hand signs and then a quick snap of the fingers as a poof appeared. Though the poof would not compromise their location since they were in the fog as it is. A clone appear of Blaize and a light glow appeared and dissapered on his body. He then started to move forward as his team all dissapered into the fog. The place was close as he went on and made his way to the temple. The team will go on to take the mission of the crystal as he was going to go and take the guarding shinobi down. Blaize started to take out a kunai from his pouch as he gotten close as wear he was close enough a snap of a twig broken out from his feet. he stood still as all he could think of was

"....Crap.."

Saya doesn't move. As the sound of a crunching twig breezes past her ears, she gives no hint that she had heard it. Perhaps the thick steel mask and heavy helmet had muffled the sound, and she hadn't noticed after all? Of course, what sort of pathetic excuse for a genin could have possibly missed such a warning. Motionless as the Beef-eaters of england she stands, one hand resting on the long black shaft of her spear. It's silvery tip glistens even in the dim light of the forest, the two foot long blade at rest for now.

In spite of the seeming motionlessness, Saya does shift just slightly. Her wight is passed from one foot to the other, adjusting her stance only slightly. Her hand tightens around the spear, a subtle motion, but one that betrays her now very ready stance on the battlefield. The hand hidden away beneath her cloak slips into her bag, clicking the button of the silent distress alarm she'd been given. Cursed kiri, it's not as though she would receive any back up from her countrymen for the fight, but at least they'd be warned inside. Behind her mask her eyes scan back and forth, searching for signs of movement in the mist shrouded forest. Something was out there, she was rather sure.. if only she could peer past that thick cloud. This forest was little like the vast plain lands she'd grown up and learned to fight on. She was used too it, but it was far from her favorite surroundings.

Saya whispers softly, hoping to add a little confusion to her enemy ranks. "Flank. Follow. I will protect. You six stay back." she whispers rather softly, only someone very close being able to hear her. Of course, Saya was talking to no-one. She was only letting her voice drift quietly, in hopes of some subtle deception. Perhaps if they felt they might be out numbered, the person in the forest would abandon their task. With a chakra crystal at stake, though, that didn't seem likely. Saya continues to look relaxed and off guard, waiting now for the first strike. Her layered armor offered enough protection that your average genin wasn't going to be taking her down in one strike. Saya just has to hope it was a genin.

"Mission Compromised..... No Not Yet Take the information you were given seriously."

Blaize thought to himself. There was no movements. This was a forest and he was close. The only thing he herd was a click sound and a voice. The shinobi that was a sensory was going on to the temple. The plan was to make sure to sneak in and take the crystal while blaize took care of the shinobi. Although it seems the shinobi was already making note of the tree snapping and already was to take him down. Blaize knew that depending on the sensory ninja will be to much to do since the ninja was with the other group. But from what he was told the sensory ninja only found four. As for the temple he knew that if any of the three inside came out then they would be taken out by his team and Blaize would know by the 'signal'

The voice called for many shinobi more then six. But six shinobi could not hide their standing could they? No most likely this was just a convoy attempt to scare him off but Blaize could not be certin. His ears did not sence anything out of the norm. No shinobi taken off from their spot. Because the shinobi infront of them spoke outloud then taken an offence the shinobi gave away its mark making it know were he or she was. it did not matter to Blaize t seemed that he must go for action now then no action at all. But to make sure the voice was not a dummy Blaize took out his next plan. he took one scroll from his scroll pouch as he opend the scroll and then layed it on the ground. he next did a hand sign and slammed his palm on the ground as 15 kunai were now laying on the ground. Quickly he used his kunai he had already on him and put it in his mouth as he did some hand signs again lifting up the 15 kunai from the ground and levitating them and sending them all in the direction of the voices. If there was more then the one shinobi most of them would take on more then one target and non the less would be deflected by more then one shinobi. He did not want to wait in his spot. He ducked down and slowly moved more to the left as he waited to hear the reaction of the kunai hitts.

Ahh, and there is was. Finally the fun gets to start. From motionless, Saya kicks into a flurry of movement with little time to spare. As the numerous kunai begin to fly in her direction, her spear drops lower from it's vertical position. With ease she grips it in both hands and twists, sending the long spear end over end in a sudden and incredibly fast spin. The whirling weapon creates a small wall infront of her, deflecting each of the kunai as they seek to impact her. One after the other the laqoured and silk wrapped bamboo shaft of her sear knocks the small throwing knives out of the air, deflecting them in all directions away from her. Thank goodness for that broken twig, or that suprise may have just done some damage.

As quickly as the spin had started, it ends. The spear is drawn back behind her for just a moment, then slowly raised over her head. The strong steel cap at the bottom end of the spear impacts the ground hard, making a small crack in the stone beneath her. Again she would be in the same position she had been in previously, her feet having not left her location. Blocking the door as she was, no one would.

"Cowards." she scoffs as she scans the forest once more. "Show yourselves!" she says, just slightly louder. There is no anger in her voice, no rage or frustration. Her tone is steady and cold, lacking in any emotion, and rather a-typical of the average genin. She returns to her attentive stance, waiting for another assault, or some someone to show their face. "None shall pass beyond this door. Give up now, and escape with your lives." she continues, though is still unaware of just how many ninja might actually be out there. Surely 15 kunai didn't come from just one person.

"Thud. Thud. Thud. Thud Thud Thud."

Were all Blaize could hear at the point. At least he was trying to hear. 6 of the 15 original Kunai were not being pirced by tress, rocks, or something in the surrounding areas. This means that it is unlikely that more shinobi were already here. It seems to be that lonely genin that the sensory was talking about earlier. The shinobi was tricky to blok and deflect the kunai that was at her way. Though he knew that if six shinobi were behind her they all would have been easily defeated or blocked and then they would take their chance to gang up on blaize. Blaize made his way to a nearby tree. not taking his eyes off the general area. They were really close by the judgement of sounds from the delecting spear. The shinobi was no amature at thinking quickly. He smiled under this new information. he wanted to take this genin down.

"no one shall pass hua."

He said as he thought about the rest of his team, they should already make way to the temple as it is. But it was time for Blaize plan to come into motion. Now he knew the general location of his enemy and now he was able to know that the shinobi was now a lone shinobi. No backup came....yet. Even though the main objective is still in tact, Blaize has a chance to get the sub mission played for. Even though there may be a chance this shinobi does not know about this mission. The fog here will play a great role into this capturing.

As Blaize thought of his plans he started to extend his hands out in the direction of the shinobi. He was activating his Flare heat jutsu. The jutsu requires fire chakra from his hands that he had earlier with the Ryuzaki inferno. He will change the tempurature in the general area. making the shinobi get a quick heat flash and would make her wonder what the hell is going on. At least thats the plan. The heat should make her lower her guard. He then took out his kunai from his mouth and tied a small ball with a string at the end of the kunai after releasing his heat at the area of the target. Either way this would be combined by him running Towards the direction of the deflecting weapons this is wear she was and if she wanted a frontal attack here he was with his kunai in hand. The close combat of low visability was about to begin as he was waiting to see this shinobi so he could go make a slash to her head/neck.

Description: A ninjutsu Developed by Blaize. Using the flames he can countrol he decides to make
a jutsu for hid mid to long range combat style. By forming hand seals Blaize is able to extend his hands out into the air and cover the range of fire meters full of increased heat. The heat is formed by putting chakra into the air. The user of the jutsu will feel no sudden change because of its creation and use of it. To the targets exposed the body will feel the quick change and try to adapt to the change in temperature. Because of this the body will feel heat, and stings on its body that can't be controlled because of the body changing its heat. This will confuse an opponent and make the opponent unable to fully concentrate during this time. (Short time one post for the change in heat and adaption of heat to the body.) The heat change itself increases about 20 degrees F. The jutsu will last at most three post. One for the change in heat, Second post for the temperature at full, third for the temperature to return to normal. Because the jutsu is made and helped with Blaize's chakra he can form a combination with this jutsu, basically his Flames.

A brow arches slightly, a few beads of sweat forming on her forehead as the sudden increase in temperature surrounds her. Ugh, as if it wasn't already damp enough, the extra moisture in the air now would only make the surrounding completely miserable. Still, Saya seems completely unaffected by the discomfort. Her focus remains in tact as she takes her first step forward. She lingers on the edge of the pair of short steps that would deposit her on the moist ground of the forest of fog, and she again surveys her surroundings. No doubt this was some team of inexperienced genin, with no idea on how to just assault their enemy. Then again, this forest was dangerous, and the temple was deep within it. Genin alone would be hard pressed to survive in its blinding depths, let alone locate this small, hidden temple.

Her grin grows as an enemy finally makes himself known, doing perhaps the worst thing one can do to an enemy holding a spear. As the ninja begins to close the distance, saya takes a half step forward. She lowers her spear, the sharp point sticking well out in front of her, ready to fend off the ninja’s assault. She had a slight high ground advantage here, and a great deal of reach with that long slender spear. Finally visible, the chuunin might be disappointed. Very little flesh was visible, her skin covered in layers of protective armor. Her padded cloth overlays a fine mesh of steel links, looking much like fishnet, yet serving as a mild protection from slashing weapons. Her wrists and hands were wrapped in plated gauntlets, and steel bracers, her feet firmly inside of a pair of plated boots. She wears a suprising amount of metal armor for a ninja, and loved the great protection it provided. Covering all of this protection was a thick and heavy cloak. The black leather was studded.. no completely covered with small metal plates, the overlapping protection keeping her safe from all sorts of attacks. While the armor was not perfect, her head and neck had the most protection of them all. The solid steel mask, and wide dome shaped helmet covered her head, exposing not even her mouth and eyes to the air around her.

Her grin grows more, her mind now spinning with the idea of a real fight. Adrenaline pours into her body as she squeezes the spear tighter. No, she couldn’t wait! She’d waited long enough! With a glorious roar of excitement Saya begins to rush forward! She growls beneath her mask and all but vanishes, traces of her form flicking past her opponent and positioning herself directly behind him. The short distance of her shunshin might have been a surprise to a genin, which she assumes she is fighting.

Behind him, Saya spins and swings her spear, the wide cutting edge of it’s blade sweeping across her opponent’s midsection and trying to cut deep into his flesh. He’d need more than a kunai to keep himself alive in this fight, as the great reach of her yari allowed Saya to remain well outside the small attack range of a simple knife. She didn’t yell any threats, not order her enemy to die. Talking is not a part of her war strategy. Talking was a waste of breath, when actions were much much louder than words. He’d die, weather or not she told him too. Surprisingly, Saya's assault is not impossible to dodge. The bulk and weight of her sturdy plated cloak slows her down enough, to allow for extra time, even on these sudden, half surprise, attacks.

Now in close proximity, Saya would also be outside of the zone of heat he’d made, having gone some 20 feet to close the distance between them. If her first attack landed, she was ready to claim her victory.. but that was rarely the case. This first attack, was just the beginning, and she waited for more with baited breath. Oh! The great glory of COMABT!

"Check"

Was the words that came in his mind as he let out a smile. Although he was surprised. But lets back up on what made him think this way. For of course he should be dead on what had just happened.

Blaize was rushing forward towards the shinobi's general area. He did not see wear she was coming from but he did manage to find her figure. He smiled at the fact that he cought her before she cough him. he gripped on his kunai and slash forward towards her hopein to catch her off gaurd but in the real sence it was the other way around. She dissapered from his view. She was right their. Were was she? Were did she go? Damn it all!

Before he could go on and move forward with his action something appeared behind him. Or else the feeling of someone behind him. It was the shinobi that he was searching. it was a female dressed in a different shinobi suit then he had seen before but what surprised him was her weapon. Her spear coming right at him as his kunai was above his head. he couldent move then was nothing he could of done...he was.....Slashed.

He was slashed right near the midsection as his eyes widen from the blow. The attack so simple yet powerful because of the said attack made it all worthwhile and advantage for her. or so he would lead her to Belive. It was not Blaize's turn to use this as his advantage. As he was Pierced he poofed. not into smoke but flames. Red bright flames.

It was a clone. As the clone now turned into fire The real Blaize started to do some more hand signs as he thought to himself.

"Now is my chance. I got the shinobi now, but i did not want to use this now. But no time for arguing."

As he thought of that the flames started to be manipulated as it reached itself around her binding itself around her body like rope. Actually this was kind of like that. Rope that started to bind the opponent down into submission. He wanted to take her captive. he wanted to use his flare heat and flame rope together but his clone had to make the flame of the jutsu or else he would not have a hidden source. Hopefully this would be able to make her bound enough into submission. Either way he took himself out of hiding and started to walk to her area, to see what she looked like. Though now as he was closer to her and his flame rope he started to take a deep breath, holding it anticipating the reaction of who this shinobi really is.

"I got you now. Sub mission almost complete"
He thought to himself. now switching his kunai from his mouth now to his right hand.

Saya would have to admit it, if forced to tell the truth, but the strange action came at a rather shocking surprise to her. A clone was a rather common battle tactic, one that was not a surprise in the least. A clone is commonly used in a first assault, if only to judge the attack style and relative strength of an opponent. She had little doubt that they wished to get her away from the door, which was a key reason she had landed with herself now facing the door, to keep it guarded and sage. Saya was more than prepared for the clone to go poof when she cut through it, however the actual outcome of her assault was quite the surprise.

Surprised or not, her quick thinking and instinctual response forces her into rapid action. With half a thought she does something unheard of, and releases her weapon. Before the weapon even hits the ground, Saya is moving to defend herself. As the flaming tendril spring out of the previous clone and begin to wrap around her, she manages half a step back, and lets her cloak better close to cover her. Snaking around anyone else might be more effective, but Saya’s unique cloak offers her great protection. As the tendril wrap around her, the bulk of her cloak catches most of them, offering her more movement beneath the cloak than other, more lightly armored, ninja may have been afforded.

The kunoichi sinks to her knees as the flames constrict around her, gritting her teeth tightly behind her cloak. How bothersome this fight was turning out to be. Disabling your opponent was a coward’s tactic, and removed all the fun and sport from the thrilling game of slaughtering your enemies. Her cloak covers her well, but with her hands still being mobile she reaches out for one of her few jutsu. She draws her thumb across one of the countless blades at her hip, this time the razor sharp throwing axe hanging from her right hip, and then forms a few hand seals. As her enemy approaches, he’d get a good look at Saya from behind. She’d seem more than a shapeless blob of slowly charring leather, and hot metal plates. A moment later, however, she’d be concealed by a cloud of smoke.

The cloud covers her well, the result of a summoning technique. Calling on an ally now seemed to be her only chance of escape, because a disabled ninja certainly can not fight. As the smoke fades, a new enemy stands on the battlefield, it’s beady red eyes glaring hungrily at Blaize. The beast was a horror to behold, and an obvious predator. It’s head was that of a monster, covered in scales like some terrible lizard, and bearing a long snout filled with a hundred serrated teeth. It stands only five feet high at its hips, but it’s body is easily fifteen feet long, including it’s slender and whip like tail. The whole thing is covered in a coat of downy feathers of a brilliant shade of blue-green, the long feathers of it’s tail and arms giving it a distinctly bird like appearance. The raptor’s pair of strong legs helped add to that idea, each one ending in a three toed foot, each bearing a massive claw twelve inches long. Its arms are long and slender, agile and also bearing hands filled with long, sharp claws.

The dinosaur crouches low as it stares at Blaize, silently daring him to continue to approach. Saya would set to struggling, readying herself to use another jutsu, if she had the chance. As it stood now, Blaize was still getting closer.

"Alright It seems like i have gotten her now at least i hope so."

He thought to himself gripping his Kunai in his one hand. As he walked up he herd two sounds. Sounds of something tipping down to the ground. Was it whatever she used on his clone from earlier. Or was it something else. A trap or a security blanket for her. Also the second sound was a thump. It must of been when she hit the ground from the ropes. The timing of that and the flames now lowering was about the same time. As he walked over to her with Kunai in hand. he knew that a Kunai was not going to be the only weapon he needed. Quickly he used his left hand and grabbed on his katana that was on his waist. As he gripped for it he noticed something. A figure, it was the shinobi now. He could see her in her unique ninja clothing. For what she was wearing he could not really tell but as soon as he got his chance to see her, boom she was gone in smoke.

His eyes widen. As he thought to himself.

"Crap a trap! So she quickly thought out of her situation as well. Damn it i didn't know the fight was going to last into a close combat type of fight. I just wanted to take this one down and go. But it seems that it has to wait."
As there now was another figure. An animal, a creature, a being really. It had different aspects of shapes of animals he had seen before. but the look was not the only thing. The thing was that the shape of this animal was now huge, wide and with a long tail with that. He looked as the Animal looked down at him. He knew what it was, or at least the family. The family of Dinos.

"Well it seems that She called for help. Wait Whats this??"

He thought to himself as the Dino looked down at him. He looked as the Dino was ready to attack him or eat him alive. he still kept an eye on her as well. it seems the heat was now finally down from the whole Flare heat jutsu. Though the fact still remains that the Dino was ready to protect its summoning but he was not going to let a Dino scare him to stop the approach. he quickly took his kunai while firming his step then jumped back as he now threw his kunai at the dinosaur and then started to exhaled his breath sending out an air bullet at the dino at the same direction. The kunai if able to hit would explode with the small object on its end and then with the wind chakra he was able to burst the flame with twice the power combining both attack into one, hoping, fatal blow to the head. He expected a harsh Skull but the real aim was his eyes, his vision, his sight, his downfall will just be the icing on the cake. As he jumped down from his position he started to take out his katana and using his right hand to bite down on his thumb and then making it bleed as he placed it on his palm. Not ready to slam down Yet but he would use it as a counter if things get to complicated.

"Im not letting you sneak away so easily but if this keeps up im going to have to do a close combat match. Not that i like that sort of thing but my team needs to gain entrance. She is down with the fire for a little while. I just need to use that time to take the dino down and capture her. But i must be careful because she is able to summon him out. he knew that she was able to provide more jutsu then this."

As he looked at the result of the Dinosaur he noticed something. The wind jutsu he used. It helped clear out some of the fog from this environment. It basiclly made the area she was in a bit more clearer, hopefully he could use this information into better use for the next stages of this match.

Kusamaru snarls softly, bearing his teeth as the chuunin prepares a jutsu. At the same time the dinosaur inhales strongly and holds its breath for just a moment. It too releases forth a large blast of air, a spiraling bullet of compressed wind, and chakra. The spiraling, drilling air projectile whirls through the air, parting the thin haze of the woods as it does. The two jutsu impact eachother, and their power coalesces. The resulting explosion rocks the landscape, blasting in every direction with powerful gusts of wind and waves of flame. The entire clearing fills with the massive impact of the two jutsu colliding, however one of the jutsu simply must prevail over the other.

Even the powerful lungs of the dinosaur couldn’t quite match the concentrated power of the chuunin’s higher ranking jutsu, the backlash of the wind and flames erupting and pouring over Saya and her dinosaur. As flames surround her, her cloak does well to protect Saya herself. Only the fact that Kusamaru’s wind jutsu was able to stifle some of Blaize’s wind techniques impact kept the dinosaur from being too injured. Regardless, as the flames, smoke, and wind settles, Kusamaru is still standing, and seems angrier than ever.

The previously soft green-blue feathers are ruffled and charred, some blackened with soot from the attack. For the moment the fog of the forest has been burnt away, provding for the first time a clear and unobstructed view of the temple and clearing. All to quickly the surrounding mist moves to replace the gap burnt away, and the dinosaur is taking a step forward. It snaps it jaws once, biting down on the air with force, just showing off it’s deadly jaws. The next moment the dinosaur very suddenly spits. A gooey wad of yellowish-greenish .. phlegm, flies through the air towards the chuunin’s face. The substance was sticky, and foul smelling, and quite dangerous if it managed to get on the opponent.

Saya continues to struggle against the flame ropes wrapped around her cloak, trying to wiggle her way to freedom before her ally could be overwhelmed by the chuunin. No wonder she needed to call for help, this ninja out ranked her. Hopefully Blaize was not a jounin, but to over power Kusamaru’s jutsu like that.. there was no way he was a genin. The burning ropes of fire that entangled her still smoldered, marking her cloak with broad burn marks, and charring. Some of the heat managed to singe saya beneath the cloak, however the discomfort such would cause, doesn't seem to register on the girl.

As the Impact of his jutsu commences he noticed that the Dino had made an attack as well. An attack that seemed to match with his. he couldn't do much but view what has just happened as he was then trying to take his katana off his holder. The two jutsu matched and it seemed that Blaize's attack had worked off. With the impact of the blow the wind and fire went to their desired direction and not only that helped out with the fog. The wind impact of Both jutsu seemed to clear out the area of the two shinobi and the dino of course. The impact affected both the shinobi and the dino. by now Blaize's flame rope would be now concentration on tightening. Noticing this effect the Ropes would not last much longer and that would mean a two on one fight. So it seems that Blaize had about two chances to attack before the Rope would be gone. in this time he needed a time to attack the dinosaur, So that means another combo attack would be the only thin he could do now. For now at least.

"....What its still up"

Blaize thought as he saw the Dino now. It was clear to see that parts of his body was now burned. He remembered now that his main reason for his attack has failed. His eyes and senses was still in tack. It seemed that the wind attack for the Dino held himself for not Getting his eyes in Danger. Well well it seems that the the Dino was not going to give up on the matter and Neither was blaize. Blaize held his katana up as he then started to focus his Flame chakra on his feet and transferred that to his blade. The Blade started to glow and then flame was now on his katana. Quickly he made a snap of his fingers and then his hands and feet started to glow. But then when that happened the Dino started to spit something out of his mouth as Blaize went to move to the right and jumped out of the way but it seemed his right arm got a chunk of the Flem. He started to land and looked at the Dino and then some stinging started to come out at his hand. He quickly looked at it and saw the Flem eat out of his jacket and his t-shirt and then his flesh. The stinging was coming from his shoulder. he looked at it quickly then back at his opponent. He winced some as he then started to take his left hand and then started to slash the air Horizontally as then Wave of flames started to appear in three separate and headed towards the dino and the shinobi's way. It was three waves, left, middle, and right waves.

"Damn it this stinging i need to take care of it quickly." He said as he jumped to one of the nearby trees. Looked at the Dino and the Shinobi. He quickly reached into his ninja gear and took out a Jar Ointment. He opened it and applied some of the ointment to his shoulder and hopefully clear out this flem on his body. As the ointment started to cool down the burn. He then placed it back. He Gritted his teeth. it seems that he only had one chance to take the Dino Down before the ropes will dissapere and set her free.

Self preservation was certainly a priority, and Saya could handle a little fire. As the waves of fire wash towards the dinosaur, Kusamaru seizes the only route of escape that seemed easy. With a sudden push of chakra and muscle, the dinosaur leaps skywards. The height it reaches is simply amazing, once more becoming a haze as it passes from the temporarily mist free clearing and into the sky. It jumps easily 50 feet upwards, and well over the Chuunin’s head as it makes for the forest bordering the temple’s clearing. Within a moment it’d be out of sight and hiding amongst the trees.. unless Blaize felt up to following it.

As the flames wash over Saya, she is mostly protected. Her cloak is charred from the ropes, but not ignites as more flames wash over it. The leather blisters and cracks, letting flames seep through and burn the ninja girl bound helplessly within the thick cloak. In spite of the obvious pain and damage, Saya doesn’t release even a single sound. No, she is much to busy still trying to free herself from her cloak and the fire ropes that had her so well tangled up. If not for the single shoulder strap keeping her cloak secured to her back, she could wriggle free. The strap wasn’t strong, but it was strong enough, designed so the heavy cloak wouldn’t just get pulled off by passing branches, or other combatants. If she really wanted to free herself, which she did, she would have to break the leather strap keeping it secure.

This would be such a loss, as she’d then need to get her cloak repaired. Laying on the ground she’s also likely to spend to much time escaping, and loose the normal benefits of willingly removing that cloak.. but sometimes you had to pay a price. Determining that her only chance at continuing this fight was to forcibly break herself free, she does just that. Chakra powers into her muscles as she grits her teeth, the world a wash of yellow, red, and orange flames all around her. Get up, Get out, and move! Her mind orders the simple commands, ones common sense would tell anyone stuck in Saya’s situation. Surprisingly, her strength increases quite noticeably, and the leather strap simply snaps. If not for Kusamaru’s aid, none of this would have been possible.

Once free of the straps, Saya is quick to move. She wriggles her way forcibly through the open bottom of her cloak, and into flaming freedom. The flames of his fire wave jutsu were ending just in time, but she’d already felt the heat and been burnt. Indeed, a great many burns already cover the girl’s body, and she’s clearly taken some damage over the past for moments. In spite of this, it doesn’t seem to dampen the girl’s spirits at all. Freed of her cloak, her form and face are at last seen. Her mask and her helmet remain down with her cloak, and saya turns to face the chuunin. Exposed to sight, Saya is surprisingly a pretty girl. The few scars on her body only help add to her warrior appeal, the small robes barely covering the fishnet that clung to her torso. Without her mask, her flawless face and short black hair are easier to see, also exposing just how surprisingly young this talented warrior was. She is armed to the teeth, holding more weapons than one could count in only a few moments. It seemed almost every possibly place, had a weapon hung somewhere. Most notable was the rather plain looking katana hanging off her left hip, which her hand naturaly moves too. Springing into action wold be the obvious next move, however wriggling free had cost her some time. She manages to get to her feet, just as the chuunin is putting his ointment away. Round 2 of the fight seems primed and ready to begin!

There was no mistake about it. The time was now that the flames going to let her be free. Wait a miniute. What the hell the Dino wants to come back for more. It seems to still want to fight. But the wave should have stopped him. in that moment Blaize was ready to attack but it seemed that the Dino took a giant leap and landed the direction behind Blaize. Blaize eyes widen at this surprise and looked back but the Dino was getting into the for again and this time gaining himself the element of surprise. But something is going to happen soon. There was no doubt in his mind that the dino suffered two blast. And judging by the sensor's detection the level of this shinobi is genin at best. What is she doing with a summoning like that.

'Either way the dino took shelter now. It could come back. but why leave the partner alone unless....don't tell me..."

As he thought of that he looked at the gurl once more and noticing something. A harder struggle going on. There pieces of cloak and armor seeming to become the flame's pet. It burned down the cloak and now she was forcing herself free from the fire rope. It shouldn't be happening she should have suffered massive wounds. but the body of that shinobi seemed to be pumping enough to do something and finally broken that flame. The flame was weaking and would have dissapered by now even if she did not do anything about it. Non the less she is free and gives him another chance to use it. He captured his target and now she was free. Well now struggling really. She was a different shinobi. One of the toughest female shinobi he had seen. It seems that she really was not going to be moving from that spot. Noticing her now the look on the weapons was rather differently. Weapons everywhere on her body weather they were visible or in pouches. It seems she can be ready for any situation thrown at her. The staff.... were is it now. is she still with it. It did fall very close to her so he knew that close range combat was not something he was going to settle with. Either way there are only a few things a shinobi can do like that.

After he finished applying the ointment. Blaize took something out of his holster and put it into his mouth. He then started to to open one of his scroll pouches and released a small paper and pen. He started to write something down and placed it back to scroll holder. He then placed the note down as he started to look at her. She had just gotten up and the look of battle in her eyes. He knew he had to do something about them quick or else the mission will end badly. He had no choice but to move on. He quickly snapped his fingers and snapped his free hand's palm into the tree as poof of smoke started to appear to give off his presents but at the same time hide him from 'eyes'. he looked up at the sky and did a few hand signs then dissapered from his spot. The next thing now for blaize was hiding in one of the upper branches as he looked below at the smoke.

From the smoke Blaize had jumped down at the direction of the shinobi. He started to rush towards her and looks at her now that the area was clear. He looked at her and examined the cloak, the damage of her burning, her armor, and the tracks of the dino. as well as he strength now then the whole start of this whole thing. He on looked at her as he held his katana at both hands as he positioned his feet ready. Now the only thing now is how to test her method, her area, and her skill, and judge it quickly to bring it down. The question still reminds. "how to get her out of that spot'

(I'm not quite sure I understand what happened? Did blaize go hide in the trees? Why did you post the Summoning jutsu, I don't see anything you summoned. If you summoned the lizard thing, and it's hard to see, I would still get chance to find it. Also, the lizard summon on your sheet has not been approved. Beyond that, My dinosaur would be able to smell it, so it's not perfectly hidden. Please explain?)

1)The smoke was of the summoning that is true. Before i had my palm with blood readying a summoning jutsu but i didnt place my palm on a surface. I did the jutsu when i was with the tress.

2) The trees is wear blaize was already when he had to place ointment on and you were freed from the ropes. Yes you still can see my lizard if it was summoned and smell it in your dino's case.

3) i swear i did not know my lizard application was not approved due to the first approval. i did not see anything of it afterwards ill check it out now.

Saya takes a small leap backwards, not to escape, but to put herself just a little closer to the door she was guarding. The few stairs leading up to it were about ten feet behind her, giving her just enough space to work. As Blaize began his charge, Saya took just a moment to inspect his weapon. His katana seemed of fine design, and his grip on it seemed.. alright. Calm as can be, Saya's hands shifts. Both reach behind her to different sides, gripping the pair of handles situated there. Her short swords ran paralel across the small of her back, and both here drawn in unison right now.

They each had gleaming steel blades, thick and sturdy with hook shaped cross guards. Anyone with any knowledge of weapons could see their immediate benefits. They were both clearly thrusting weapons with sharp tips and edges made more for defense, than slashing. The curved cross guards were ideal for catching incoming swords, and disarm them. She gives each a twirl upwards to correct their stance from reversed, to a more classical style.

Both of the short swords are presented in front of her defensively as she awaits the charge of her opponent. The serene calmness of her stance only added more to believe that Saya was completely unafraid of this battle. She did bear a few cuts and scratches, but the thick armored cloak that was crumpled up to the side had saved her from most of the burning effects. The previous full covering of armor, however, is gone now, letting her make free use of the small arsenal she carries with her at all times.

Both her blades would be used for defense as the chuunin made his first attack. At about the same time, the forest surrounding them would erupt into action. As eager for combat as Saya is, the dinosaur in the trees wastes no time in finding it's new prey. The tree it was in would explode from the impact of an air bullet, the previous gust of wind announcing it's fast approach towards the tree. The two summons in the woods would have their own battle to fight as well, it seems. Reinforcements are in short supply.

Branches and leaves fly out into the air, raining down on the surrounding landscape as the two combatants finally clash swords. Whether or not the two summons would be fighting in the open was up to where the lizard ran to next. Kusamaru is fast, agile, and a quick climber. It is as at home in the trees as he is on the open grasslands, and a deadly predator on his own.

When the poof of smoke helped Blaize's advantage the creature from the poof came out. The creature was Blaize's Summoning Lizard. With the help of the learning the summoning jutsu when he was a genin the use of Lizard has seems very useable in combat. But why did he take the wind nature one and not the other type as of right now still bears a mystery. The Lizard glided itself to a Branch as it looked down at the person holding the sign. It was his summoner as he read the summoner's respond.

"Stay. SW Soon"

The lizard looked at him and then shook his head in return. The lizard stood there as it watched the battle field. The battle field seemed to be foggy with everything that was going on. Also he could sense something, two enemies on both sides of him. If not enemies then beings to say the least. he had ordered to run as he stood there trying to focus on his chakra.

"Darn it kyo's little brother needs my help hey? Well then i guess it is fine by me but he has to make sure that his plan is going to work. Well i hope so because im not planning to leave it be if the plan does not work. But i know Blaize is better then that it is okay....i hope"

As that happened back at Blaize hiding in the tree tops he was hoping he could get everything cleared up. The reason he wrote the note was so the female could not hear him speak when he sent his clone out to her. Not only that it was to hide the fact he had some backup this time. The dino was still around and this may hold up a problem but for now it was aright. The clone was rushing towards her as it saw the blades ready to go after him. He held his katana in hand and when they were going to clash swords the wind from the Dino hit the bottom of the tree as it was starting to lean over its side ready to fall. Blaize eyes widen as he thought to himself.
“What the hell just happened. The dino that’s right it is the same thing he used against my air bullet. But damn it! My clone will be figured out soon. I need to change this game Damn it plan b lets go then.”

As he finished his thinking he landed down to were his summoning was sitting on. He picked him up and then looked at him motioning to his finger as he puts him on his shoulder as he then twirled his finger to motion a hurricane or spiral winds then he used two hands and place them together and separated them off. To Motion that the spiral is going to expand itself around the area.

“What does this boy want here? Wind….well he must mean my jutsu and then he is going to expand them. For what purpose….err this thing is falling I guess I have no time to argue.”

The lizard nodded to him and then Blaize then ran up the tree before it was falling down and then jumped over to the next tree hearing and feeling foot steps coming towards them. The dino must be coming closer. He must have noticed that the clone that was sent was not really him and wanted revenge. He then looked up at his summoning as he placed his hand together and then nodded to him.

The summoning started to get on its legs and jumped up in the air expanding its wings as it was gliding in a circular motion and then flapped his wings as two finds started to form out of his wings and then swirling around in the air lowering itself down to the ground as the summoning was landing on back to the shoulder as Blaize’s extended hand made a x sign and then forced its arm to stretch out to mate a T shape as the winds were expanding itself as the gust of wind was not for the enemy but for himself. With this combination he could clear more of the area around them. Enough to see the dino coming towards him and enough to see that his clone disspereced as soon as the blades contacted each other. He looked down at his opponents as he then looked to each of them. Both wanting a piece of him. He knew the time for action and the climax was coming soon. But this summoning was going to help him reach the goal. For now though he started to get out a small scroll and then planted his feet on the tree and loosely open the scroll. The scroll said wire as it was unwrapping itself the time was now for Blaize to fight as he then raised his hands up to his summoning. The summoning took the scroll with his hands and held it. He took his katana in his hands and spoken to the lizard.
“When I say now you leg the scroll go. Understand?”
The summoning took another second to understand his voice was muffled but then nodded as Blaize then held the red katana and then started to jump down twirling itself with the summoning. What was his target the Dino, Why the Dino? Because it needed to be taken down before he could take out the genin that was nearby. By this time the genin should know that the Blaize she has hit was a clone nothing more.

Saya smirks as the clone vanishes in a puff of smoke, her defense keeping her safe for apparently nothing. She gives a quick scan of the surroundings as the leaf litter flows through the air around her, then begins to take note of the changing winds. It was remarkable how the two combatants seemed to share so many similarities. Both had the fire and wind elements, even if Saya had no jutsu to apply her affinities too. Both cared for their swords, and likely honed their weapon skills over their life times. Both even had reptilian summons, even if Saya didn’t quite know that just yet.

With the moment to herself, and no enemies in sight, Saya gets on the move once more. She takes a quick jump to clear the distance between herself and the cloak she’d abandoned earlier. She was mildly irritated she’d been forced out of her armor, only to see the binding flame ropes vanish the very next moment. As she pauses beside her armor she reaches down while stabbing both of her swords into the damp earth beneath her. Quickly as she can she gathers up her cloak, and swings it up and behind her. The heavy cloak lands on her shoulders, causing her to sink down just slightly from where she was standing. Without even touching it, just watching the way it flows, it’s obvious the cloak weighs a huge amount for being clothing.

The sixty pounds on her back didn’t bother Saya, she’d grown used to it. With her armor once more on her back, she reaches next for her mask. Having left her armor and spear in much the same place, she also grabs her fallen spear, and reclaims it for her preferred type of defense. Mask and spear in hand, she quickly moves back towards the stairs, claiming her previous position while carefully pulling the steel mask over her face. Armored once more, Saya felt a little better about the prospects of more incoming jutsu. Spear in hand, she felt much better about being able to keep the chuunin at bey.

Now if only she knew what was going on in those woods. “Kusamaru!!” She shouts, her voice echoing through the small clearing once more. An instant after the shout Kusamaru abandons his predatory stalking of Blaize and his summon, and leaps high into the air. The beast soars through the sky for a moment before landing with a great thud, its weight straining and shaking the massive stone pillars lining the front of the temple. The dinosaur had landed on top of the one story building, claiming a high perch with which to watch the surroundings.

The dinosaur snaps his jaws once and makes a strange call. Its natural voice sounded much more like a bird than a lizard, though it had a raspy quality due to the size of its voice box. It doesn’t say any words, it just chirps twice, then begins to gather a mouthful of its acidic saliva once more. When an enemy showed itself, it’d be ready to spit acid once more.

Back to square one, Saya presents her long spear out in front of herself. She was missing only her helmet now, so would still have to be careful which jutsu she allowed herself to be caught in. Otherwise, once again most of her body was protected behind a coating of metal plates and steel chain mail.

"This was getting us no were. The only thing i see is that the genin over here is just continue to go back into her element. There was too many times to take her down but her summoning would not allow me to do that. the whole thing would have been resolved if it wassent for the summoning. Not only that it seemed that the main match was still yet to continue. Blaize had used an arry of jutsu and so did She but the jutsu made should have been enough to take them down. The only thing he knew now that the person with the most hurt in this area was the dino.

Backflash to what happend before. During the whole wind vs wind fire nature combo clashed with each other the jutsu of blaize won making him take the counter effects of the burning wind. This left parts of its body burnned. Not only that the body itself should be slowed or hurting due to the amount of pain it has been. SO it should not take much longer to take out that dino. But here was the thing, If blaize went after the female the dino would just get in the way. Not only that but the chick will have the advantage to take him down. So frontal assults are going to be useless it plays into her element. Then again mid to long range fighting makes this battle even more hard. The attacks can be handeled now that she was in her armor. The only weak spot was with her head but he knew that the his opponent had a spear to block incomming attacks. This was bad and time was not on their side. He knew the actions he will take will have to be on focusing to get her out of the way of his teammates.

Blaize missed his attack on the dragon. The dragon was comming back for his summoner. Why because it was called on the moment he went to plunge down on his enemy. He landed with his summoning on his shoulder. He looked at his enemy now. Both of them were in clear view. He gritted his theeth thinking of a plan that would get him out of here. Lets recap what he had to his arsenal.

His Ryuzaki form. His ryuzaki form was still on all parts of his legs and feet were with his KKG. Second is his katana. The katana is his main weapon and it took the red form meaning that there is flame within the katana. Third, his scroll. the scroll with the word wire was still on his summoning's mouth. And the summoning itself. This was what he had and there could be many ways of going through this but time was starting to get at him. What did his enemy have.

Weapons lots and lots of weapons at her disposale for attack and defense. This does not prove right for him because she can try to get in attack or defense at him. The next thing was her dino. This spit loving fiend can run fast and also spit acid but it is also burned from Blaize's previous attack. The only thing left is her helmet which seemed not to be on her. Were did it go he was not sure but he knew that she had one way of defense.

"why is it that she has to defend the only access point. this gives her full control because she does not have to attack. just one safe haven....just one..... thats it!! i know what to do."

As he said that he got on his attack stance. he knew what to expect from his summoning but he had to speak his voice a bit muffeled.

"i need backup with your sickling winds. the dino can spit acid i need to make sure it does not reach me okay because it stings."

Blaize started to look at her and the summoning. He looked at them and gave a smile and then started to take in some air as he then took a deep breath and exhaled his mouth and out that mouth came out an air bullet. but this are bullet was not towards them no, this air bullet was directed above in the air behind them to the left as it made some impact with the whole hopeing he took out some arts to that peice. He knew the first one would make make an entrance but he knew another one after that will but he knew it was going to be hard because her reaction is going to set off weather his plan will fail or not.

Saya smirks just slightly as the spiraling air bullet comes flying out of the trees. There wasn’t much time to react to the speeding projectile, but she didn’t need to react. Up on the roof, Kusamaru leans down and hops down towards the ground, better avoiding the bullet destined to rock the stone roof of the temple. Before it even landed Saya was reaching behind her and into her ninja pouch.

The air bullet impacts with tremendous force, splintering the stone tiles covering the roof. Of course, the roof was the weakest part to almost any house, always forced to remain light enough to support it’s own weight, and not topple inwards on the structure below. The stones splinter as wood and rock fly in all directions, the massive explosion of the impact causing a deafening roar and rush of wind. The temple wouldn’t be demolished by the attack; however as a structure it’d be weakened. The roof would be crumbling, and though some small openings were present, just as Blaize suspected; it was going to take another blast to fully breach the solid building. Of course, at this point it seemed like even a good kick to the roof might be enough to cave it in.

Saya draws a smoke bomb out of her pouch and drops it at her feet, better cloaking the next action she had to accomplish. Kusamaru chirps and snarls at the wind attack as the smoke erupts in the doorway, and Saya better secures the entry for her absence. It takes her only a moment to hang two notes on the nearest pillar, then she leaps from within the cloud of smoke and into sight. The two explosive tags she left were on the inside of the pillar, sure to remain out of sight even after the smoke fades. The small trap was necessary, now that there was going to be two entrances into the temple.

“Why do you continue to hide? Are you scared of me?” She calls out in a loud voice, hoping to lure out her enemy into a fair fight. “Why don’t you stop prancing about in the forest like some frightened squirrel, and come down here to meet me. We can settle this with our swords, one on one, if you feel you have enough skill for it. Of course.. I can understand if you do not wish too. Few are able to match my mastery of the blade, and you would likely just be cut down by my first attack. So.. what is it to be? Will you cower, or will you face me like an honorable soldier?” she asks in a loud, but calm, voice. Her eyes continue to scan the surrounding forest, as Kusamaru sniffs the air. He’d be able to find them, if needed, but only once the action calmed down some. With so much wind coming from all directions, the sense of smell was easily confused.

"Alright seems as i almost got it. Now one more Blast should do it. Alright Now focus chakra and....What is this"

As Blaize was About to go ahead and go to the do another Blast he had seen poof of smoke coming around that area. Blaize thought it was a diversion tactic and so it might be. He quickly looked at his summoning then back at the entrance as he spoken. he quickly held onto his katana as he then gave the orders.

"Hey I need support and backup. Detect then tell me its location if its fails full on protection mode hurry."

The summoning did not waist time on what the summoner told him. He then landed on the ground in front of him as he then placed his hand on the ground and closes his eyes as he then tries to sense the ground. After a few seconds past he then opened his eyes as he then spoken to him and jumped back up to his shoulder.

"We have a problem kyo's little brother. I sense small detections but i cant make sure were it is coming from. We are too far away. "

Blaize thought about his action and then decided to make his move. He took a deep breath and then blew out another air bullet in the same direction this time to make sure that the next attack will fully blast at the shot he made creating another opening. When that happend he herd her speak about him being a coward and did not come to a fair fight he thought to himself.

"Coward, no not a coward if this plan goes on right then i will be able to fight you while this whole thing can go down. just wait, im waiting on you now shinobi the blast that i have will help me win this match. Just as that area finishes crumbling and the wind of the poof is gone then i will be able to wind this match as a matter of fact. "

He then spoken as he raised his free hand.
" combined SW straight at the poof go!"

The summoning nodded and then jumped and flapped its wings creating two mini sized tornadoes as it combined itself into one larger 6feet high double power tornado as it went along straight threw the poof cloud and closer to the entrance were she should be. He raised his hand and let the flames in his right hand escape his arm and then went straight to the path of the tornado. The two collaborated together and created a wind flame tornado hopefully this will make her either leave her spot or get attacked by it. Either way the spear she has won't really help her like it did with the kunai's
