Akiko felt horrible. Her first mission outside of the Village hidden in the Clouds and she had failed to find her target. It wasn't a lack of trying that lead her to this outcome, just inability. It put a bad taste in her mouth. After being unable to find the warehouse in lot 4, the two genin separated and went home their own way. The blonde gave Norio some money to help him with his travels but kept her cart and horses. The girl decided to take in the Rain country's beauty before she headed back.

First thing she wanted to do was visit Amegakure no Sato but she feared that they might attack her, thinking she was a threat. Instead, Akiko drove her covered wagon and two horses to some of the pubs she had passed while on her mission. She wasn't old enough to drink so more often than not, the girl would use her henge transformation to look like an older man. The look of the man changed often but the teen would usually transform into the ugliest haggard man she could think of. The patrons at each of these bars did not seem to mind nor care about her appearance. Instead they spoke to her about their troubles.

It seemed odd to her. Most of this country was industrialized, much more so than Kumo but the majority of the population seemed poor and destitute. The rich seemed to get richer while feeding off the backs of the poor. Their only way of escapism was to run to the drink. Great business for a pub establishment but not so much for a population's psyche. These people needed help. Unfortunately for them, no one had the power nor anyone cared to help. The shame Akiko felt was something she knew that she couldn't easily shake.

After a day or two of pub hopping and people watching, Akiko decided it was time to head back to Kumo, report her failure to the mission office, and move on with her life. As she readied her horses for travel, her mind swirled with ideas as how to help these people but most of these thoughts led to dead ends. It might have been the fact she was buzzed from all her bar crawling but Akiko made a vow to herself. One day she will come back and she will help these people. In order to do that, the Kyokkou princess knew she needed more power and more strength. A new sense of direction came to her as she hopped into the driver's seat of her wagon. She would free people from the shackles of despair and grant them the freedom to do as they want to better their lives. In order to do this, she would need to use the System of Order to bring about the State of Chaos and allies. The blonde sighed as she knew she needed Surai's help. First step is to convince her attendant to join her on the princess' quest. The world was clear.
