The Last Party …..

The Last Party... Sofia%20night%20club

After the long march from Suna the chance to unwind and let ones hair down is a welcome one. At the bequest of the Kazekage a party for all ranks has been arranged at Fort Hiroshi prior to the kick off of the War-Games. The attendants have been working all day to prepare it and a number of stalls more commonly found at a festival, live music, stand up comedy, a shadow puppet show and a fireworks display has been arranged to ensure the evening goes off with a bang. Only the evident lack of alcohol, a sign of things to come mires the eventful evening and the thought at the back of everyone’s mind of the conflict to come. They have been informed that they will be split into two divisions but other then the appointment of the leaders nothing further has been mentioned and no one is sure whether those they are partying with tonight will be allies or adversaries come dawn. Under a star studded night sky the evening promises to be as full of deception and tense concern as fun ….

OOC: This event will serve to set the scene for the coming War-Games and help me to decide the divsions. I shall be reading posts carefully and deducing from them the appropriate division in which you are placed. Enjoy while you can this thread will be closed in a week and the War-Games will begin in earnest.

OOC: Certainly, but mine will have to wait a little longer as I'm working full-time at the moment and finding time for this is tough. Should have a decent post up by the end of the weekend. EDIT: Also, I will post after the two posts below, to keep chronological order.

OOC: Thanks for your thoughtful comments Fox but its not necessary. I can see my appointing you a general in the coming war games is already paying dividends. I dont want you to post alone in a thread thats inactive and due to close soon. Since nothing is happening I am closing the thread due to a lack of interest. The divisions will be sorted out independantly and the wargames begin in ernest on monday. I hope there is more interest by then. Characters who do not participate in the War Games risk being archived.

Initake strolled into the fort, with a nice dress shirt and slacks, he didn't wanna overdo his wardrobe, because he wasn't the type of guy to do so. He was greeted by a few people, and held some short, meaningless conversations with other people he may or may not have known from somewhere in Sunagakure.

He knew this little celebration would be fun, but he knew that it would not last long. He knew Howl the Kazekage had some sort of War-Games planned soon, and he knew that, at some point, that would be the farthest thing from fun as possible.

At first, he really didn't see many people that he recognized, but he just kept positive thoughts, and thought that they were just late, instead of his usual thoughts, which are usually something along the lines of Initake thinking that they were all destroyed in a massive barn fire.

He saw a few benches but they were all filled with people. He had nowhere to sit, so he just decided to climb up on one of the smaller staircases, to the side of the main room, and sit on the bainster at the top of the stairs, across from the door leading to another part of the fort, about fifteen feet off of the ground. he didn't care, he wasn't afraid of heights. And even if he was, he'd just land on his feet no problem, like he always did. He is more like a cat, than a dog, which is ironic, considering that he is an Inuzuka.

He swung his feet, back and forth, back and forth, for a few moment, when he saw a flood of people come in. He couldn't recognize who they were for a brief moment, at least from where he was sitting, and from the damn strobe lights, but he had a feeling some of them were people that he knew. That ha to be so, there were like twenty freakin' people.

“Hmph.” Cielco wasn't in the best of moods, especially since he was just at a boring party. What were they celebrating anyway? If they were all going to play war-games, weren't deaths sure to follow? The genin placed a hand over his eye patch while his left eye was searching around for interesting figures. Oh, how he would absolutely love to play a game of chess right about now. His attire currently consisted of a white button down shirt with a button down jacket covering in the color of dark red covering most of it. His blue ribbon tie around his neck, and black shorts. Black knee-high socks and black boots. The usual. He chose the dark red color because it reminded him of blood, and that was usually shed in war. He looked at the money people dancing to the music, some childish genin huddled around the puppet show. Some people saw how young Ciel looked and asked why he wasn't by the puppet show, and this got him mad. So he just walked away, no need to waste his breath on stuff like that. The choice of music wasn't to his liking, so he was far away from the speakers, and could only hear it faintly. “When will this be over?” He asked himself, then noticed another shinobi go up the stairs. Oh. He looks quite interesting. He thought to himself, and gave a smirk. Cielco followed the other shinobi up the stairs, and saw him sitting on the banister. “Hey, you.” He said to him, not knowing his name to call him by formally. “What's your name.” He spoke in a rather rude tone. He just wanted to talk to pass the time until the fun began.

[OOC: Apologies, as this isn't up to my usual standard. Time kinda got away from me this weekend!]

"It's probably for the best, Kasumi-san." Rinji murmured, following his mistress' gaze to the 'no alcohol' notice hanging from the drinks kiosk. Sighing wistfully, Kasumi turned away. "No doubt." The kunoichi chuckled, well aware of the consequences should one or two adult drinks pass her lips. Sadly, she truly relished the taste and the sensation, begrudgingly relenting for tonight. Irritatingly, her feline companion was quite right in his observation, though the woman was not about to admit it. The female Jounin had chosen to settle down at a slight distance from the hustle and bustle of the musical and other acts and the the stalls, instead seating herself in a prime location to watch the fireworks, which were due to start at any moment.

Until then however, Kasumi kept an eye on the proceedings and particularly, the people filtering in to the festival area. People-watching had always been a firm favourite of the kunoichi's 'what-to-do-when-bored' activities (though she was, in fact, far from bored), and the small crowds of Sunagakure shinobi passing through the entrance to the main area afforded her plenty of chances to pry unnoticed. The first recognizable face was that of a young Genin of the Inuzuka clan, his cheeks clearly marked by the clan's symbol. A few seconds after Kasumi had registered this arrival, Rinji extended his claws slowly and clutched the kunoichi's shoulder. "Ouch!" She hissed quietly, flashing a grimace at her small friend, who retreated into the woman's kimono breast. Rubbing her shoulder, Kasumi gave Rinji a brief tickle with her other hand. Him being a cat, an Inuzuka was not his ideal playpal.

A shorter, more mysterious figure walked through the entrance a few minutes later, attracting the attention of the ever-curious Kasumi. She watched from afar, noting the shorter boy's particularly formal attire. That said, the kunoichi herself had dressed in relatively formal wear - a three-quarter length, golden-yellow and black kimono - bound at the waist. Though underneath her clothes remained the same; a similarly coloured shirt, ash-black trousers with yellow-gold thigh markings and elbow-long black gloves. On her feet were charcoal sandals, their slender straps running half way up her shins, twisting around in stylish fashion. Upon noticing the eyepatch the newcomer wore, the female Jounin recognized him as the typically dour Genin Cielco. It was not just a past-time for Kasumi - knowing about people was an important part of her job, too.

The catchy and festive music drifted over and caught Kasumi's ears, causing her to smile and tap her feet. It distracting her from the throngs of people entering the festival area, which was fortunate, as she might have missed the beginning of the fireworks had it not. Leaning right back in order to glean a perfect view, she grinned at her feline companion (whose head was now poking out of her kimono top) and lifted the bottle of non-alcoholic drink to her lips. "Do you know, Rin? I think I might be looking forward to this." She laughed.

OOC: Nice work so far all. I was thinking of closing the thread and starting the conflict but I get the feeling people may want to post in her for a bit. If you don't want to PM me and if I get a few PM's I will close it and we can move on
