One of the teenagers no longer wishes to end his life and has told them where the event should take place. During sunset at varies, two girls and one boy will be committing suicide together. (TBE) Mission Time Limit: 2 weeks Min Post Count: Chuunin +: 3 for solo missions, 2 per person for team missions Genin: 4 for solo missions, 3 per person for team missions Tensei stood in the office in his house. He didn't really know why he was standing in the middle of the room. He could've walked but a few steps to sit down, but he didn't want to for no reason in particular. He had to head out soon, as he was just given a mission. He resented the fact that he had to go back to work so soon after his nice vacation because now instead of standing in the middle of rooms whenever he wanted, he had to go out and do things like stop teenagers from committing suicide. The world was a terrible place. He rubbed his chin for a moment, still standing, as if he was frozen. He never wasted time like this before, especially when the price could be the lives of someone's kids, but he found that his body unwilling to move. He sighed quietly, now tapping his chin with his index finger at a moderate pace.
He faintly heard someone yelling his name but decided to pay no attention to it, as he had suspicions that he was crazy and it was simply in his head. However, not a moment later, he felt a fist to the back of his head which caused him severe whip-lash. Suddenly he found himself falling face first into the ground, hitting his nose hard upon the impact of the fall. "What the hell..." He mumbled while slowly picking himself up until he felt a foot on his back. "Wait, wait, don't say anything, let me see if I recognize your foot." Tensei said, giving it some real thought. Standing behind him was Kira, a Chuunin that not only looked up to Tensei but was in charge of keeping an eye on him as well. "Well.. you're definitely a man, there's no doubt about that. I mean you'd have to be a really overweight woman to have that kind of force... so hmm..." Tensei thought more, not realizing how completely wrong he was. "YOU MORON!!" Kira yelled and immediately grabbed Tensei by the back of his shirt, flipped him over, and began repeatedly punching his face as hard as she could, while Tensei just laid there taking them.
"What do you have to say for yourself?" Kira asked, discontinuing the brutality. There was a pause for a moment. "Oh hello, sir." Tensei said, grinned, and began to laugh. Kira's face grew more and more of rage for a moment, until suddenly she retained her calm, and helped Tensei up off the ground. "So I presume you're here to accompany me on the mission, mmm?" Tensei asked while brushing himself off. He never really used his office a whole lot so the ground wasn't a very clean place to be on. In fact, Tensei also began attempting to spit out some dust that had landed itself into his mouth. He could've had a maid or something sent over to clean it, but Tensei still hated feeling like royalty just because he not only came from a noble family but was also the Raikage's brother. Still, when he refused services like that, stuff just didn't get done. "Yeah, I sure am." Kira said as she walked to the other side of the room and gathered the belongings that she had brought. "Is it just me, or does it seem like they're just dumping all the weird cases onto us?" Kira asked jokingly. "I mean, come on, now we've been ordered to stop a Suicide Club? We're ninja for fuck sakes." She continued, her once joking tone and demeanor turned more to anger. "What, you don't think this is a job for a ninja?" Tensei asked, gathering his own things too including his Jitte and scrolls.
"You do?" Kira asked in reply. "It involves stealth does it not? It's not just something we could ask any old villager to take care of, and it's important." Tensei said in contradiction. They often had a difference in opinion a lot but that was probably what made them such a good team. There was a pause of silence for a moment, as Kira didn't know what to say. "I guess I at least agree with you about it being important." She said half-heartedly, but it still surprised Tensei greatly. He was beginning to think that she got her jollies out of disagreeing with him. "Plus we already know when and where it's going to take place. This is going to be a piece of cake that'll score us some brownie points with Raikage-sama." Tensei said, and his eyes immediately widened. "What is it?!" Kira asked in a worried and frantic tone. "Let's stop at the bakery!" Tensei yelled out, extending his arms high in the air, a rather large grin returning to his face. "You know when you piss me off to the point I have to murder you it's gonna be your fault." Kira said, angrily pointing at the giddy man.

| The two ninja quickly headed out of Tensei's house and the Housing District all together, heading towards the burial grounds which gave Tensei a severe case of the creeps. It was fitting for the teenagers to pick such a spot though, a creepy place for a creepy act. As they jumped from roof-top to roof-top, Tensei stayed quiet. He was thinking about what could possibly cause these teenagers to want to end their lives so young. Tensei himself was still very young, and he wanted nothing more than to live, so it just didn't make any sense to him. Though that could've been because he grew up getting anything he ever wanted except the genuine love of his father. He could hear his heartbeat racing in sync with their footsteps and it seemed to get louder and louder the closer they got to their destination. Despite Tensei relieving Kira about the simplistic nature of the mission and their chance of success he was starting to doubt whether that was going to be the case. Kira wasn't stupid, she knew how completely awful it would be if they didn't stop the teenagers in time. Their parents would be looking for someone to blame and naturally they would point to Kira and Tensei for not doing their jobs correctly which would hurt their reputation among the villagers and the Raikage.
She could also tell by the look on Tensei's face just what he was thinking about, which didn't help calm her nerves. They both had to focus to do this right. "We'll need to keep a distance once we arrive so we can see what the situation is first. We don't want to be spotted because they could panic and kill themselves right there." Tensei spoke, his tone oddly unemotional. Kira couldn't think of a verbal response so she simply nodded her head and kept moving. They were close, it was only a matter of time before they were sure to see something horrendous. It was cloudy of course, but there was also really cold winds, which Tensei felt was unlucky. He just had a bad feeling about it. Once they reached about 20 meters from the Burial grounds, they both stopped and looked ahead. They could see people there, but couldn't tell how many or even who they were. They were too far to get a good look but getting any closer would be risky. Tensei just stood staring for a moment, considering their options. Kira looked at him, waiting. She thought it lucky that she was under his command therefore she wasn't in charge and didn't have to make the decision. Their next move was completely Tensei's call. Both of the ninja kneeling down, Tensei grabbed a stick and a rock and began mapping out his strategy in the dirt. Suddenly they both heard footsteps coming from behind them, and before Tensei could reach for his Jitte and Kira could reach one of her kunai, they both felt large katana pressed against their necks. "Up. Get up!!" Yelled the brown hooded figure holding a blade to Tensei's neck. Tensei and Kira both stood up slowly, their hands up in the air. "Tch." Tensei grunted in pain, blood from his neck now running down the blade. It was only a small cut, but enough for him to get the idea that whoever this was, they meant business. "We don't want to know who you are, and we already know why you're here." the other hooded person said, that one sounding more like a young girl. They began to drag Tensei and Kira over to the Burial grounds, Kira's heart racing the fastest it had ever in her entire life. Tensei wasn't very worried. He could remove the Katana and kill them if he wanted to, but he was waiting for the opportunity to immobilize them instead, as killing them would mean failing the mission. When they finally reached the burial grounds, Tensei and Kira were shocked to see about 15 brownly cloaked individuals all carrying either Katana or daggers. "What is this? I thought there was only three of them." Kira said, eyes wide of shock. "Shut your fucking mouth!" Someone in the crowd yelled, ran up to Kira, and kicked her in the face. Blood began to run down her lip, off her chin, and dripped to the floor, the katana now held to her back and not her throat. "It's a cult of teenagers..." Tensei thought now having to reconsider his options because of how many there were. "I am Dora, humble servant of Lord Aisu Matsumoto, our supreme ruler." Dora said, removing her hood and walking toward Kira and Tensei, and stopped right in front of them. "You have interrupted the ultimate sacrifice for our master. Now we feel it's appropriate that you become apart of it." She said smirking as she held her hand out. Another cloaked member then placed a large, black katana in her hand. She only said one word as she gripped the blade. "Die." |

| There was several things that didn't really make sense to Tensei about the situation they were in. Dora claimed that they were servants of a Lord Aisu Matsumoto. That was the name of a Legendary Ninja from Kumo who was killed in an attempted to overturn the village from the second Raikage. Why where these kids worshiping such a man? And they weren't just worshiping him, they were ready to throw their lives away in the name of a traitor. It just didn't make sense. There wasn't much time to think about things, as Dora faced Kira, holding up the blade. Tensei did handsigns as fast as he could, in fact he was so fast the kids didn't even see what he was doing. "We'll start with this one." Dora said, and chuckled maniacally. Just as she was about to end Kira's life, every single blade in the hands of the cloaked cult was abruptly dropped to the ground. "I can't believe I actually had to use Shoyuuken for this... you little bastards." Tensei ranted furiously now holding up his Jitte. The teens simply stood there, all too shocked to react. "Kira, we'll use that technique!" Tensei yelled out, and then grabbed her by the arm. "Get them!!" Dora yelled out, and the cloaked figures all picked up their blades and began charging Kira and Tensei.
As they both spun around each other, lightning began to form around their bodies. "Double Rotating Shockwave!" They both yelled, and lightning began to extend from them in all directions. The teenagers were not ninja, therefore they had no idea how to block the attack, so they were all stunned and quickly fell to the ground. They all just laid there now unconscious. Kira and Tensei stopped spinning and immediately began gasping for breath. Tensei had used up a good amount of chakra, so he needed to rest for a bit. They both knew that the lightning would have the cult out for a while and they could afford to sit down, so they did. "What the hell was this about?" Tensei asked, glancing down at the young faces. "Dora is Dora Matsumoto, grandaughter of Aisu Matsumoto." Kira replied. Her father had told her so many stories about the 'old days' of Kumo, and it paid off finally. "My guess would this was her revenge for what happened to her grandfather. What scares me the most is that she was actually capable of convincing the others to kill themselves.. I wonder how she did that." Kira said, surprised that the insane Dora had actually been able to inspire a little awe.
Tensei stood up quickly and walked over to them, looked down, and pondered what to do with them. It didn't take long for him to come up with something. He reached into his bag and pulled out a long piece of rope. He then continued by tying all of their hands to it. "This is the only way we can move all of them at once." Tensei said. He felt bad that this was the way it had to be but he had no other choice. He wouldn't make multiple trips and risk some of them getting away. Tensei and Kira proceeded by pulling one end of the rope, dragging the teenagers behind them as they headed for the hospital, where they were to drop them off, and then the mission would be complete. They were gentle, as one of the kids could bump their head on something which could lead to a concussion which could then lead to death. "You know... it wasn't just Dora's eyes that I saw evil in.. it was all of them. Scary, huh?" Tensei said, and then asked rhetorically. "They would have killed us without a second thought." Kira replied, looking down at her hand that was still shaking. She really thought that she was about to die back there. When they finally reached the hospital, several Flash Force members were there waiting for them. "Good work guys. We'll take them from here." One said, and Tensei and Kira simply nodded, dropped the rope, and began to walk back to Tensei's house. They didn't try to get there as fast as they could like usual, they just walked.
"I'm quiting tomorrow." Kira said quietly and then stopped in her tracks. Tensei stopped too and looked back at her, his face of confusion. "Quiting what?" He asked, pretending he didn't already know what she meant. "This. Being a shinobi. I came so close to dying today that I..." She paused, putting her head down. "I guess that it took almost dying for me to realize I was never really cut out for this.. I just can't do it anymore." She said, a single tear ran down her cheek. Tensei just stared at her, his face now less of confusion and more shock. "Come here." He said quietly as he walked closer to her. She then collapsed into his arms and began sobbing. |
