Ihara has pallid flesh, set tight against his bony features. He has almond colored eyes, round in shape, with a deep sense of understanding about them. They often look black, for some reason, most likely because the dark brown blends in so well with his pupils. Above them arc the familiarly thick eyebrows of the male gender. Like most men, he has a squared jaw, though not quite as square as one pictures when the term is applied. It isn't so much muscular as it is bony. His cheeks are scattered with the scruff that results from his being too lazy to shave. He is occasionally clean shaven, but very rarely. Ihara has a round nose, lips that lie somewhere between full and thin, and an evenly proportioned face. His hair is shaggy, extremely dark brown, almost black. It falls carelessly from his head, thick and straight. His bangs would hang below his eyes if he didn't push them to the right.

Ihara has a muscular build, thanks to intense training in taijutsu. He is a tall boy, with slightly broad shoulders, and defined muscles. Across his chest, from left shoulder to right lowest rib, is a deep, bone-white scar. The scar is often times invisible, because his flesh is so pale to begin with, but on occasion it seems to stand out, like a ridge in his flesh. His abdomen is protected by a clearly visible six-pack, his pectoral muscles also clearly defined. Ihara has muscular, calloused, scarred hands; the result of both his current and former occupations. Despite the fact that he is in the midst of puberty, he doesn't seem to have any hair on his chest, and definitely none on his back. His arms, however, are fairly hairy, though you wouldn't be able to tell; his body hair has long since been bleached by the sun.

Ihara has muscular legs, like the rest of his form, because of his intense training. His shins, calves, and thighs are all equally scarred thanks to both battle and helping in his fathers workshop. He has thick leg hair, but it isn't very visible because, like his arm hair, it too was bleached by the sun. His feet are very large, as would be expected of a teenage boy.

Clothing:
Ihara is a really, really big fan of hats. Any hat he can find he'd probably wear, no matter how plain or obnoxious it is. His personal favorites are his cabby hat, which is a dark grey with white pinstripes, a top hat, and a fedora. The top hat is plan black, with a red ribbon and a rose for decoration. He often wears this to formal occasions. His fedora is plain black, nothing really special to it, but it used to be his father's. He often wears it when he is working wood, or playing his guitar. The only real reason for wearing the hat is because it makes him feel close to his father, more-so when he's wearing it while doing something his father taught him.

Ihara wears an assortment of clothes, which is constantly changing. Normally if he is just around the house he doesn't even wear clothes at all. Most commonly he will wear a plain v-neck tee, and a pair of jeans. Sometimes he wears band t-shirts, or long sleeved shirts, but very rarely. If he isn't in his more casual dress, he will usually wear a dress shirt of some solid color with a tie and a pair of nicer-looking black jeans, ones that haven't been worn down or riddled with holes. For formal occasions he usually just dons a pair of nicer pants with his dress shirt and tie, and wears a nice jacket of some sort.

Ihara, like most typical boys, cares very little for his footwear. He has a few pairs of shoes and boots, but only because they serve certain purposes. For example, he wears a pair of black converse whenever he's just around the village or training and he isn't dressed nicely. When dressed for a formal occasion, however, he wears a pair of black dress shoes. When traveling over a great distance Ihara will pack a pair of leather boots, sturdy and well-kept so that they will last him as long as possible. He also has a few ratty old pairs of sneakers that he wears when he's too lazy to tie his shoe laces, because they slip on so easily.

Ihara doesn't wear much as far as accessories. He wears an old copper chain that was once his grandmother's, but he keeps it tucked underneath his shirt so that it doesn't show. It was never meant to be decoration, it's worn so it can be close to his heart. Besides that he usually doesn't wear anything, except for the occasional tie.

Personality:
Ihara is an interesting character. He doesn't really have one set personality type. He's intelligent, but often times doesn't act it. He's mature, but has found that it's far more fun to act immaturely. Ihara is responsible, but only in serious situations, and never when it comes to his own personal health. He is a very serious person, but he does know when to let loose and enjoy life. He's a pyro, a clepto, a masochist, and addicted to gambling. Despite his love for the martial arts, he also seems to be something of a romantic. He's in love with music and poetry, and often writes both. Ihara is an accomplished guitar player, and enjoys to do it whenever he can. Ihara is often outwardly arrogant, as an attempt to hide the fact that he actually has a rather low self-esteem. He has an unrealistic view of himself, and sets ridiculously high standards for himself, while setting his standards for everyone else at a ridiculously low level. As far as love-life goes, he doesn't really have a type. He isn't picky, not even about gender. At this point in his life Ihara believes it's more about the experience of getting to know individuals intimately than it is about the long-term relationship, and because of that his relationships are numerous and short-lived.

However, this technique would not work against anything with a diameter more than twice the size of his fist.

Name: Jishin no Suteppu - Quake Step

Kawarimi no Jutsu - Change of Body Stance Technique

History:
History/Background Story:
Ihara was born on a cold October day, the day of the Pagan holiday, All-Hallows Eve. His mother died of complications, bringing him into the world and leaving his father in the process. His father grieved, but chose to keep Ihara and raise him as his own anyway. However, this would prove much too difficult for Ihara's father, and the roles would end up changing though Ihara was still extremely young. They lived in a bad part of Kumogakure, just by the southern wall where the only shinobi who patrolled were those who were on wall duty, and they didn't care about what went on below. Ihara was forced to get tough fast, he taught himself to fight and scare away people even before joining in the Shinobi Academy. Ihara's father didn't know about Ihara signing up; he was a carpenter who had a sore spot for shinobi since his late wife had been a kunoichi. So, Ihara would show up to the first day, filthy and beaten down badly, without a parent. He felt nothing but embarrassment when he saw the condition of all of the other shinobi children, each with one or even two parents holding their hands as they entered the grounds. The teachers caught one look at him, with his long and untidy hair and his torn up clothes that seemed too big for him, and labeled him trouble. They kept a close eye on him, and treated him coldly. All except for one of his teachers. He soon grew close to the teacher, treating him like an uncle or even a second father. This man, who was named Daisuke, showed no prejudice against Ihara for the place that he lived or the way that he dressed. That was a rare thing, even amongst the students who had outcast him. He was a scumbag, a nobody, a criminal in their eyes, though he had done nothing wrong yet. It was two years into the academy that Ihara's father died, never telling him of the abilities that Ihara's blood carried on from his mother's side. Ihara still lived in the house, alone, trying to make a life for himself. His father's retirement checks had been keeping food on the table and a roof over their head, now Ihara had to resort to criminal efforts to bring in money. In his side of the village no one cared who did what, so getting away with it was easy, and it brought in just enough to keep him alive. For two years he lived this way, toughening up more and more as he proceeded to develop as a shinobi. It was then that he graduated.

Ihara graduated in a class of fifteen boys and only seven girls. It was his luck that he would be placed with two women and a female Jounin squad leader. However, he didn't mind. As long as everyone did their job and he stayed out of the drama everything was good. However, he would soon discover that not everything goes according to his plan. The two girls began fighting, becoming catty and seeking for Ihara to pick a side. Confused, he went to his squad leader. She only laughed, and told him that he should not choose a side, it would only cause trouble. However, Ihara couldn't do that. He had feelings for the one named Yumi, and wanted nothing more than to take her side. He knew, though, that taking her side would result in breaking the team up. So, he went to Daisuke for advice. Daisuke, ever the romantic, told him to tell Yumi of his feelings. If she felt the same, no amount of teamwork would be able to make up for what she could give him, and if she didn't then life would go on as it was. So, Ihara went to tell her. Yumi felt the same for Ihara, and everything seemed fine until their teammate Tetsu found out. Infuriated, she swore that she would never talk to either again unless a mission forced her to. This made training with her difficult, and as a result when they fought on one side their teamwork was off. However, Yumi was far stronger than either of them so she could pick up Tetsu's slack. One day, the power would go to Yumi's head. She wanted to be given a rank she deserved, but the Hokage insisted that she take the Chuunin exam and work for her rank. Infuriated, she left the village. Ihara was crushed, he had lost his love for power. Determined to show her his own power and join her no matter what it took, he asked his sensei to put them in the Chuunin exam.

His sensei, however declined, they weren't ready yet. Ihara, infuriated by this response, split off from his team. He began to take only solo missions, train alone in secret, and eventually stopped seeing his teammates all together. The squad replaced him and moved on to bigger and better things, while Ihara remained a Genin, honing his skills to ensure that when he takes the Chuunin exam, he'll be more than ready.

Role-Play Sample:
Willy stepped out of his small suburbian house and into the crisp air of a fall morning. He fiddled with his, now short, dirty blond hair. He'd gotten it cut the night before, and he was worried that it looked stupid. He pushed his bangs around his face, and eventually back to how they had been before he left the house. Finally, he gave up, releasing a sigh of cloudy breath. Bony, cold, fingers fumbled with the buttons of his coat, pulling it tight around his thin frame.

He brushed his fingers through his hair one last time, hearing the familiar click of his watch as his wrist brushed against his ear. Then came the roar of an engine, waking him from the daze he'd been in since he woke up that morning. Shaking his head, he turned right down his street, converse padding against the cracked sidewalk beneath his feet. As he walked he thought, mostly about how empty the morning felt. He couldn't quite place why, until he put his hands in his pocket. His fingers rubbed up against the cool metal of his iPod, and he remembered that he still hadn't listened to any music today.

Best remedy that.. Willy thought to himself cheerfully, removing a pair of identical earbuds from his pockets. He placed the small black pieces of plastic in his ears and hit play. The effect was immediate as always, he walked faster, he felt fuller, his day was already turning out to be excellent. As the voice of a blues singer wove words of times he was too young to know in his ears Willy went over the day's schedule. It was the same as everyday, really, but he liked to remind himself anyway.

First, visit Jon... He thought to himself, turning a corner onto a new street. The scenery passed by slowly for him, he was careful to take in every detail, even though he did so everyday. Never let things pass you by.. He reminded himself, thinking of all the times Jon had told him those exact words. He was a wise man, Jon, he knew so much more than most people that it amazed Willy how little people listened to him when they could.

A few turns, a handful of trees, two people, and a beautiful flower garden later Willy found himself at the gates he visited everyday. He walked through without a single greeting, though he passed by hundreds of people on his way to see Jon. The walk wasn't long, but it seemed like it took ages; it always did. His feet would eventually reach their destination, though, as they always did.

Willy stared directly at the large hunk of stone stuck into the ground, with a name and two dates carved into it. There were no flowers in front of it, no footprints in the ground other than his own, it looked just as lonely as it always did.

"Still no one, huh?" Willy asked, his voice suddenly choked with emotion. He reached into his pocket, removing a small origami flower from his pocket. He'd made it out of a bright red post-it note this morning before he left, like every morning. Willy reached down and placed the crimson flower at the base of the tombstone, letting a tear slide off his cheek and onto the grave. "They'll come soon. Promise. Until then, you've still got me."
