Out of curiosity:

I was looking through the hidden villages for the location of academies and I couldn't find any, do any of the villages actually have any?

No, we don't offer Nin Academies anymore nor are members accessible to it as a rank. If you wish to improve your role-playing I can only suggest you ask other members(possibly villagers) and hopefully one would be so generous as to teach you a thing or two. Thats if you have the common idea that Academies are where new players come to learn a thing or two about grammar etc.

Alright cool, thanks for the answer. I was just wondering a friend wanted to join, but wanted to be taught in an academy first.

This would've been a topic better posted in Feedback. Anyway, If your friend wishes to join, he or she can register as a Genin, and then be taught proper roleplaying by his or her Jounin-sensei.
