- Mission Title: Alert! Bear Country in Crisis [Chapter 1]
Mission Type: Plot/Special Mission Mission Location: Bear Country Shinobi Requirement: 1x Jounin, 1x Chuunin, 1x Konin, 1x Genin Mission Rank: A Mission Objective: Madam Raikage has received a tip-off that the Bear Country is in termoil. It is suspected that the Country leader is corrupt and allowing certain wealthy mafia style families and organisations to control the distribution of resources. They are patrolling towns with unnecessarily high taxes being placed on citizens for greedy purposes, and if they do not comply then they will be slaughtered. It is also suspected that the Country leader has a 'cut' in the profit for allowing this. If no action is taken the citizens of the Bear Country will ultimately suffer. A man named Nenshou, Karudo is a leader of a specific organisation which is patrolling the local towns and killing innocents by the Great Bear Forests. Your mission is to travel to this area and disable this organisation immediately, which is suspected to be located in one of these towns. The leader Nenshou, Karudo must be killed and he is expected to have approximately 50 henchmen at his disposable, all average out at genin-level. The Raikage also wishes for you to Establish A Spy Network for further operations to begin. The Raikage will source you the money and contacts required to do so. This mission must be done with the up-most discreteness and stealth as Kumogakure does not have permission to enter this country with such motives. Be warned to not get caught as retrieving you may become difficult diplomatically. Good Luck! Mission Time Limit: 4/5 Weeks Maximum Min Post Count: Minimum of 8 posts per person (But I expect more).
Mission Type: Establish Spy Network Description: You have been given money and a list of contacts and instructed to establish and fund the creation of a spy network in a territory to report the comings and goings of Shinobi to your village Minimum Shinobi Needed: 1 x Chuunin Minimum Time Required: 24 Hours Minimum Word Count: 1500 Words. Must reflect nature of mission Special Requirement: N/A Result if Successful: Your village gains a spy network in that territory It was approximately around noon as Riku, the Raikage of Kumo walked briskly to the villager entrance. She had a large hooded coat over her which fell long down to her knees. The hood was decorated with a fur interior and trim around the outside for warmth as the rain continued to pour down furiously. The Lightning Country was having a tantrum again with great strikes of lightning flashing in the sky, vicious thunder claps causing frightening blasts and a relentless downpour of rain which seemed to never end. This was common in the Lightning Country but it was still something difficult to get used to. Next to her was her young assistant who you could barely make-out as she had a large jacket on which completely dwarfed her. Riku let out a deep sigh, she was tired. But as she made her way nearer to the gates she could see a group of ninja all gathered underneath an area of shelter at the gate talking amongst themselves.
As Riku approached a smile etched onto her face as the ninja stopped what they were doing and bowed to her as she came. Even though the weather was miserable they all seemed in good spirit. Whether they were eager to just get underway to escape the Lightning Countries awful weather or to start the mission was a mystery, but their was a good enough reason for her. Riku ushered them in closer and began to speak loudly in a competition for their attention with the rain "It is unfortunate that you have to start off your mission in such awful conditions but hopefully the weather in the Bear Country wont be so...wet." she said with a smile. "You have all been briefed on your mission earlier on what is expected of you. This mission is of top importance to the village and to the citizens of the Bear Country. As you know what you will be doing isn't exactly known by leaders of the Bear Country, thus, the up-most caution must take place on this mission. That is imperative."
Riku then walked over to Koden Aburame the only jounin and leader of the squad. Although he was young she has high hopes for the young lad. he possesses much maturity and skill beyond his years and she knew he would be able to lead this mission to success. This would be her test for Koden, to see how well he can handle a tough situation and come out on top. Not only did he have to look over his own life, but also the lives of three others and command the mission. "I hope you are all familiar with Koden Aburame, as he will be your squad leader for this mission. You are in incredibly capable hands, he is truly an excellent shinobi." Riku then ushered her assistant over who was holding a medium sized scroll and a small envelope in both of her hands. With small steps she waddled over in her large jacket trying to to fall over in an embarrassing heap in a puddle below. She handed the scroll and envelope over to Riku who then thanked her passed it onto Koden. "This scroll has the details outlining the mission as a whole. The scroll contains a map of the surroudning area for where you will find your enemy. There is also a list of contacts and places that will help you set up your Spy Network. There should be enough money in the envelope for the task."
Riku then put her hand on the young Aburame's shoulder and kissed his cold cheek. "Good Luck you guys, I know you will do great!" said said with a uplifting tone. "I have set an emergency squad on standby for the entirety of your mission. Better to be safe than sorry. You are all Kumo-nin and are the most talented and trained ninja in the shinobi world. I am sure whatever comes problem comes your way you will be able to solve it. Now go and be safe! I look forward to your return." The four ninja saluted her and then dispersed at speed out of the gates and towards the bridge. Riku would pray for their safety. This mission was important and she was counting on them to pull through. As she turned around to head back to her office the Raikage's assistant reminded her of the giant pile of paperwork that awaited her on her desk. With a deep sigh she nodded gingerly. Oh how she hated paperwork.

| Alert! Bear Country in Crisis.Starring Aburame, Koden Kasui, Inari Ryuzaki, Kyo Hakedoro, Morel
Guest Starring Hougaku, Riku Nenshou, Karudo It was midday, but the sky was almost as black as night. Dark and heavy clouds created an impenetrable shield to the sun’s rays. Koden awoke early in his home and would remain there for a few hours as he casually prepared himself for his upcoming mission, he did this in parts as he had many hours to do so. In between preparations Koden would shower, eat and debrief himself with the scroll that was delivered to his house which held the secret contents of what this mission would entail. Koden opened the blinds in his bedroom as he looked down onto the village below him, it was still morning and the darkness of the clouds had already overwhelmed the sky. Koden muttered to himself as he swiftly turned back to his wardrobe. “Guess I won’t need my sunglasses.” he said softly, speaking to himself out loud. The Kumogakure Jounin shifted his attention back to preparations as he slipped out of a casual dressing and began sorting his ninja attire. Beginning with an black singlet to form a basis layer, Koden progressed by throwing a grey t-shirt over the top of his singlet that had the Cloud Villages symbol over his right pectoral. Kumogakure’s Arthropod Enthusiast then continued to work on covering his top half first, throwing one of his many black shinobi jackets over the top of his shirt. The jacket had a pocket on the side of Koden’s right arm and this is where Koden’s sunglasses would rest until he could wear them. On the right, there sat a strap for Koden’s forehead protector to be displayed, but he would do this later. Koden then focused on his bottom half; it wouldn’t take as long as his top half had. He obviously was already in a pair of boxers, but from there he would through on a thick triple layered pair of black pants, the thickness was to ensure Koden was warm and he didn’t get to wet. He finished off his attire with a dark brown robe-like bottom piece, covering his left leg. He would usually go with a green piece, but due to the nature of this mission; the darker the clothes the better. Koden prepared to leave his home for the rendezvous point which would be at the village’s main entrance. He finally strapped his forehead proctor to his arm and stocked up on ninja equipment. Throwing of his Kumogakure chest plate over his jacket and topping that off with a black cloak to not only protect him from the heavy downpour of rain but to hide his identity. Koden had brought three extra coats, but they weren’t for him they were for his comrades. He knew they wouldn’t have these black cloaks and planned to give one to each of them before they would leave. Koden done one more check of his backpack, making sure it had everything he needed, and indeed it had. Locating the last piece to the puzzle that was his attire, Koden slipped on his two black gloves to ensure every bit of his body would remain warm, but also so harm couldn’t come to his fellow shinobi who would accompany him on this mission as contact with Koden’s skin; with the exception of his face and neck, would turn out to be quite the nasty situation for one of his teammates.
Koden exited his home and walked casually down the empty and seemingly flooded streets of Kumogakure, his cloak’s hood sitting comfortably on the top of his head as the rain continued to fall from the skies continually. Koden wasn’t a massive fan of the rain, or water for that matter; he didn’t like the feeling of being wet and did his best to avoid it. But these orders were directly from the Raikage, in fact she was planning to meet the squadron at the gates before they took off. Koden continued to walk, picking up pace so he could avoid the force of the rain. Thunder rumbled in the skies above as Koden approached the gates. He looked across at the rendezvous point and nobody was there yet, he had suspected that this would be the case as he was still forty-five minutes to an hour early. Koden took a seat on a bench, approximately four hundred metres from the gates, under shelter. He removed his hood, he enjoyed this weather; but he preferred to be indoors when it was happening just admiring it not being ankle deep in the rains full glory. Funny enough, there was no wind to accompany the horrendous weather, which would make the squadrons travel just a little more enjoyable.
Eventually, the three members of his unit showed up, one after the other. All very close to the deadline that Raikage-sama had set for them. Koden would wait for the Raikage herself before joining the shinobi unit for now. He wasn’t too sure who they were personally, but Koden was extremely well prepared and had already gotten to know his new comrades through their abilities. Their names were already known to the Kumogakure Jounin and he looked forward to working beside them, but Koden’s main objective was to complete the mission not socialize and make new friends.
The Raikage and her assistant approached the trio, so Koden finally decided to grant them with his presence. He walked through the rain as he pulled his hoody back over his head to shelter him from the rain once again. Cloaks in hand, Koden approached the three before the Raikage had and gave them a slight nodding gesture with a soft greeting. “Evening..” he said peacefully. He didn’t make his observations clear; none of them would have known he had begun assessing them. Pleased that they all seemed in good spirits and eager to get this mission started, Koden could only hope they would all be mature and take this important task very seriously. He had faith that they would live up to his expectations though, or else the Raikage would have allocated Koden other shinobi, and being that the Raikage’s judgement was one that Koden held a high respect for he had confidence in each one of them. Reading their profiles, none of them had an outstanding reputation and even Inari, who was a Chuunin hadn’t built that much of an impressive biography for herself. Koden wasn’t even sure if any of them had killed somebody before. They would most likely be put in that position during this operation, as this was practically an extermination-assassination style mission.
Lady Raikage finally got close enough, they all bowed almost simultaneously out of respect to their beautiful and powerful Kage as she ushered them closer to her as Koden led by example, stepping up toward the Raikage, standing a mere few paces from her left as the three youngsters gathered on her right, Koden still remained separate from the group as Inari, Morel and Kyo would stand before the Raikage and her assistant. The Raikage began to speak to the group, directing her speech at the Genin and Chuunin of the group, but it was for Koden’s ears too. She spoke of the importance of the mission but this was something Koden was all too familiar with. Every mission was important in Koden’s perspective, each one of them fuelled the economy for their village, but the Raikage’s point was valid; this mission was going to be one of the highlights of Koden’s young shinobi career so far. If his squad could complete this mission successfully, his reputation would sky-rocket.
Before Koden realized, Riku had approached him speaking to the team about him, her words were complementing and Koden was pleased with the recognition his glorious Raikage had given him. Her assistant approached on command and handed the Aburame a scroll. Riku explained what the contents of this scroll were; it was a complete outline to the mission and a map, along with a list of contacts and money for the group to establish a spy network. This mission could turn out to be quite the revolution; it could ultimately end up with the long awaited alliance between the lands of Bear and Lightning. Of course, disposal of the Bear Country’s leader would have dealt with beforehand, but this wasn’t the task that Riku had asked Koden and his team to complete.
All of a sudden, Koden felt a hand gently grasp his shoulder as Riku had leaned in kissing Koden’s cheek. Her lips were surprisingly warm and sent a tingling sensation throughout Koden’s entire body. He wasn’t sure whether to be intimidated or flattered, or both. To have somebody so powerful give him attention such as this, he had heard Riku was a flirtatious Raikage, but to witness it and be a victim to this tantalizing attribute was something Koden had never experienced before. Koden started to wonder how well Riku knew of Koden’s abilities; surely she knew that Koden was full of the Poisonous-Nano Bugs, an insect that would decay and destroy whatever part of a human it touched, whether it was skin, blood, flesh or bone. His face and neck were an exception to this however thanks to a seal his father had placed on the latter at a young age, but had his father informed the Raikage of this. Surely she wouldn’t have kissed him by chance of getting infected. Koden was overthinking it, perhaps it was an effect that the kiss had bestowed upon him, his thoughts ceased momentarily and he directed them on the more important goal; the mission. He focused on his Raikage once more, his frosty blue eyes meeting Riku’s pale pink ones as she wished them luck and told them she awaited their return. The four of them saluted her as she departed the gates and presumably headed back to her office.
Koden was now free to take complete command of this mission; he hurled the three black cloaks to each of his three companions and gave them a brief, yet obvious demand. “Please put these on and we will be on our way.” Koden said. His voice was calming, although he was completely serious in his order, his comrades wouldn’t be intimidated and they would most likely make the assumption that he was quite polite. This was true, but his voice helped him sound friendly even when he was being quite the opposite. His order was direct and he watched as each of them three the black cloaks over their individual attires. “Good, now. I’m sure you guys know the drill on travel. Stick close, I’ll take point. We move fast and we move discreetly until we reach the central region of Iron Country, it is there where we will set up camp, inside one of the caves under the mountains.” Koden made sure his instructions were clear, he had nothing else to say in the meantime he shifted directions toward the gate as the large doors began to open thanks to the Chuunin guards located in their sheltered station. The gates opened slowly, revealing the natural greenery that was outside the village, the bridge could be seen from here; due to the angle on which the Cloud Village sat, it sat on high ground in comparison to the majority of Lightning Country.
As the gap between the giant gates got larger, Koden raised his right arm which would be seen by the three shinobi who stood just a foot or two behind him. His fist was clenched to begin with, which symbolized them standing in place. The gate continued to open, making it a quarter of the way until it was completely open. The squadron wasn’t going to wait for the entire gate to open for leaving. Koden opened his clenched fist as his fingers stood up, before waving his hands forward, indicating for the shinobi to advance. Koden took charge, bursting out the gates downhill gaining an almost unstoppable momentum as they jetted in the direction of their first scheduled stop, which would be the mountains of Iron Country.
OOC: Please click the spoiler below for an OOC debriefing.
- Spoiler:
Firstly, I apologize for the length. I got carried away. By no means are any of you expected to go to this length, I'd actually prefer it if you didn't. I'm only expecting the approximate word count of 500-600 words from each of you, I don't think that is much to ask for. I myself plan to only have 700-800 word posts per turn, though this one was supposed to be that amount too, sorry. Anyway, posting order is something I don't like to break, I hope none of you request to be skipped at anytime during this mission, if anything happens and I am required to post in advance I will let you all know. I personally prefer using PM's over OOC and I would appreciate it if you all did the same. Posting order hasn't been allocated yet, I'm obviously first and Daedalus will be last, however Night and Kyo insert themselves into that is their decision. I suspect Nighthunter will be the next to post only because through experience, she will be online next and I expected a constant flow during this mission. It is very important and is not the one that should be delayed without good reason, this missions outcome alters the plot, so treat it as a priority. You shouldn't have signed up for it if you didn't have the time. Sorry for the little onslaught, just wanted to debrief you guys out of character too and felt like I should just write it up here. Good luck to us all.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Sorry I forgot to mention this. This is directed at Daedalus and Kyo specifically, please note that due to timing purposes, this mission has been undergone before the Chuunin Exam. The reason for this is Kyo is still participating but it is unclear weather he has passed or not and here he is recognized as a Genin and Daedalus failed the first examination but received Konin, so here I would appreciate it if you could acknowledge Morel as a Genin too please. Thanks you.

| Pitter, patter, pitter, patter. Rain was pouring down the beautiful village of Kumogakure, seeming to be wanting to bring about a second cataclysm. It was a sad climate, especially when someone had to go on a mission on such day. A slight mourn could be heard from underneath blue cushions, while a black cat was licking a female hand which was overhanging the large bed. A pair of crystal blue eyes appeared from under the cushions and glared at the cat. The cat looked up at her, obviously glaring back. It was truly astonishing the fact that this cat actually understood the girl's feelings and needs more than she herself did. After a couple of seconds of intense staring at each other, the girl stood up and pushed aside her long, blue curtains. She slowly sighed after she saw the brilliantly wet weather she hated so much, and resented that she had to go on a mission. She'd rather she stayed home, but she knew that the mission was of outmost importance to the village. So, for the village's sake, she crawled to her bathroom to dress herself. The cat followed her into the bathroom, apparently not wanting to leave her out of sight just in case she would fall asleep in the bath tube. ''I can take care of myself, Azure...'' the girl replied to the cat while yawning. Her blue eyes darted to a piece of paper which was placed on the bathroom's mirror. 'I'll be gone for some days, Inari.' it said, and as soon as the girl read the note, she tore it down her mirror and threw it into the garbage can. ''Bitch...'' she mumbled to herself as she got dressed in her Ninja clothes. This time, considering the weather and the mission's nature, Inari wouldn't wear her usual attire. Instead, she put on long, black baggy sports pants and a dark blue T-shirt with a black cat imprinted on it. Inari loved cats, hence the name 'Lazy Cat' or 'Nighthunter'. Over her blue T-shirt she put a black sweater with a hood and shook her headband on her right wrist. It wasn't exactly the normal headband; It was a black leather wristband with the Kumo symbol carved on it. Once ready dressed, Inari sprinted down the kitchen and prepared for herself and Azure food. While they were eating, Inari looked out of the window and into the dark afternoon. It was really depressing, this weather. No wonder that she had slept for so long; Longer than usual. ''Drip Drop. Drip drop, drip drop, darned rain won't stop. Dropping on my windowpane, it is driving me insane.'' she whispered as she threw her and Azure's bowl into the sink and proceeded to brush her teeth in the bathroom on the ground floor. Having packed a bag with all the necessary Ninja and Medical tools as well as food, Inari made her way out of the house as she opened a blue umbrella. Slowly but steady she was walking through Kumogakure's dark flooded streets, no other soul outside. The black cat wasn't following her, since he knew that his owner was going on mission. Inari's blue eyes remained fixed on her way in front of her, not twitching between the buildings and noises. Alone the thought of getting wet was terrifying her, thus she didn't bother to look too much around. After a couple of minutes, Inari arrived at the gates of Kumogakure. No one was there, so she stood there alone under a sheltered place and closed her umbrella, putting it back into the bag. She spotted a young man sitting some hundred meters away from her and considered walking up to him, but quickly tossed aside that thought as she was too lazy to pull out again the umbrella. Besides, she didn't know who he was and thus cared little. She patiently waited for the others to arrive. Inari was curious about her teammates; They had been spinning around her head the whole night. She was wondering what kind of people she would be working with, and if the leader was a capable Shinobi. While waiting in silence, the other members of the team made their appearance and Inari slightly smiled at them. ''Hey, nice to meet you.'' she said, her face warming up a bit, as she stretched out her bare hand to shake hands with the Genin. Eventually the Raikage came along with her assistant and Inari bowed in respect. The man who was previously sitting on the bench was now standing next to Riku's side, across the three Shinobi. The beautiful Kage, greeted the Ninja and started explaining the mission. Inari was listening carefully to what her leader was saying and memorizing every single word. Even though she had read the mission several times, she wanted to be sure that she understood everything. Suddenly, the Raikage grabbed Koden's shoulder, who was introduced earlier as their squad leader, and kissed his cheek. Inari's facial expression didn't change at all; It remained serious and professional. Inside her head though, the thoughts were revolutionizing. She couldn't believe what she had just witnessed. Of course, everyone knew that Madam Raikage was flirting with every male that was walking around, but she never thought that she would see it for herself. Strange as it was, Inari was jealous. She tended to be mincing around boys and intended to do the same to Koden, but his nature shrugged her off. Once the Kage disappeared, the squad leader threw to the three Ninja some kind of dark cloaks. The female grabbed it and put it quickly on, and covered her head with the hoodie, only her mouth and neck being left visible. The young girl nodded in agreement when the Jounin explained their plan and fastened her backpack around her waist as well, to ensure its safety. The captain turned around and waited for the gates to open as he held his right hand high, forming a fist. Inari tensioned her body, preparing herself for the long journey to the Iron Country. Suddenly, he opened his fist and threw his hand forward, signalizing the others that they had to run off. Inari vanished from her position, being close behind the Jounin.

| OOC:,, Sorry for bad post. Have lots to do this week. I will make a better post the next time around.
It was one of those day’s that you wish you could have a clear day. Why was that? Because he was ordered on a mission in this type of weather. As he looked outside, he shakes his head to see the village in the clouds with so much water. Kyo did not have any issue with water except for when it came down to it the water would be his one weakness with his fire jutsu. With his KKG the water with the fire would only make the water turn into steam. Water in high dosage only makes his fire a small candle in front of a large wave of water. Kyo looked around as he was making his last preparation on his mission. He made sure his scrolls were with him, his items that he was going to bring, the notes he has made himself on the mission (OOC: Would be explained later) and his new scroll entitled “Clothes” and his sunglasses. As he began to leave his mentor stopped him as he was then saying his goodbyes.
“Ohh Kyo your leaving so soon. Quess your going on a big mission at a time like this. They specificly requested for you. For what I am not sure but you are full of talent I know that for sure. Here I got something for you. Two items I hope it would work out for you. The first is an extra set of your Brother’s K bombs. I figured you might need some more kick in your flame in this type of weather. The next is 4 paper bombs. I noticed that you don’t carry paper bombs and every ninja tool is useable in a time that it is needed. So take them and I will see you later, now go!” Kyo was running out of time. He took the items his mentor has given him in his possession and then nodded and thanked him for his gifts. His mentor always seems to find a way to make the items he gives Kyo useful to the mission. He left the house and quickly was heading out to the meeting point. It did not take him long to travel but two of the shinobi was already there. He looked at both of them as they were making their own last minute preparations or being silent, whatever works. As they all came as one the Raikage started to give her speech about the mission. All seem to nod in unison as Kyo raised his hands as she finished. “Raikage-Sama!” After a pause and after beng allowed to speak Kyo went up to her and took out one of his potassium bombs and give it two her. “Here you go. You said that you had another team waiting just in case, correct? Well take this with you. It will be easier for the next team to track us and I will be aware of the team coming by if we have any danger. We don’t want to assume an ally is an enemy in the heat of the mission. This way we can make sure that your team is an ally and something subtle as that won’t give their position away. Good day Lady Raikage”
After he given her the item he went back to the team were they were given the cloaks. After he placed the clocks the short conversation was given from the leader and then the gates started to open. Guess things were getting serious now. The mission was starting.

| It was mid morning as the rain pelted the window of Morel's apartment. The small, two room area was dimly lit by only the gray light that was able to penetrate the clouds outside. Inside, a small wisp of smoke floated into the air from the tip of a cigarette. Morel sat at the edge of his bed, his equipment spread out all over the floor and directly at his feet was a thin cloth. He had been assigned a surprisingly large mission for his rank and had to decide on his gear carefully. Beyond his pack of smokes, he did not often rely on standard ninja equipment. But for something like this, it would be best to come as prepared as possible. On the cloth were several kunai as well as a couple stacks of suriken. Two spools of wire and some paper bombs. He had little room for much else so he grabbed a stack of flashbombs before rolling up the cloth and slipping it into his pack.
Exhaling a cloud of smoke, he stood up from his bed and swung the pack around his waist, tying the straps together. He walked lazily towards the fridge, pulling out a half eaten sandwich from a day prior, stuffing it in his mouth before heading to the door. Grabbing a cloak, he flipped it over his head and heads out. As he walked down the building's hallway, the rain could still be heard pelting the building outside. Far from ideal conditions for a mission, but still quite standard for the village. The rain did not bother him too much and so long as it did not become anymore intense, it should not slow down the party's progress.
As he exited the apartment complex, he flicked the stump of a cigarette to the ground, stomping it out and being sure to crush it beyond recognition. Immediately igniting a new stick as he disposes of the used one before stepping out onto the soaked streets. Few people were out right now, those that were walked with a brisk pace, hoping to get inside and dry as soon as possible. Morel conversely walked at a leisurely pace down the monochrome streets. The stone and gray, rainy skies made differentiating shapes from a distance a tad difficult and after a range of about twenty meters, everything just faded into grayish blobs before blending together.
It took him a while, but eventually the silhouette of the city gates began to come into view, and a short moment after, several humanoid blobs which he assumed were the rest of his team. He was immediately approached by a woman who held out her hand as she greeted him. He merely gave her a quick nod, blowing some smoke out the side of his mouth before walking past and leaning against a nearby wall. It seemed he arrived just on time as an unexpected visitor arrived to see them off, Madame Raikage herself approached the group and gave them a quick briefing before heading back. Morel was a little more than surprised at this, her appearance only solidified exactly how important this mission is. He could not help but question his own abilities in regards to this team. None of these people, to his knowledge, had worked together before. Or at the very least, with him. The squad leader quickly threw him a large black cloak and was ordered to put it on, as he did so, the rest of the squad got together and began to move out. Morel taking up the rear.
This was going to be rough. |

| Taking point of his Kumogakure party, Koden gained a constant elevating momentum as he and his squadron darted down the angled hill toward the bridge. The usually dusty yet solid path had become muddy and slippery due to the constant downpour of rain that was falling from the grey clouds above Kumogakure no Sato. Koden was being careful with his landing every time his foot reaching the ground. He had complete focus on his feet while they approached the bridge and he had hoped his teammates were doing the same. He wouldn’t turn around to check on them though; he continued to assume that they were all capable shinobi and figured they could handle a little rain; though calling this rain little was a massive understatement. Koden began thinking about their main target as he progressed toward Iron Country. Beginning to paint a mental picture of what he would look like, but considering the thuggish criminals he had associated himself with, Koden thought it would make his job a lot easier. Karudo Nenshou was the man that they were required to exterminate, a man sixty one year’s young, a large build but a short stature, with a signature thick brown moustache. This description alone would help identify Karudo, a man who considered himself to be the godfather of this mafia-like group he had assembled. Koden was briefed on the man’s abilities, he was certainly no ninja but the clan he hailed from had a shinobi-like ability; which required an understanding and control of chakra. So Karudo had taught himself the basics and perfected his abilities over the years. Karudo was a manipulator of Ash; something Koden hadn’t seen or heard of before, though he could get an idea of what it would involve. It still concerned him, not knowing how to deal with a shinobi such as this, perhaps Wind techniques would be the best counter, but time would soon tell.
Koden would pay attention to his environment once more, as they reaching level ground. Finally taking a moment to look back at his party, it would almost appear they were in a ‘V-Formation’ with Koden taking point and Kyo and Inari closely sticking with him on either side. But his attention turned to Morel who was directly behind Koden, but distant. Koden reassessed his observation of the ‘V-Formation’ with all four of them in the positions they were in it would more like a diamond. They stuck closely together as they finally approached the bridge. Koden’s feet obviously hit first being the one in front. The bridge was a lot more stable under his feet than the wet paths and a lot harder, it helped Koden pick up even more momentum for the swift period they were on the long stony man-made bridge.
The border separating the lands of Lightning and Iron weren't something Koden was completely familiar with; he knew when they reached the outer mountains however they would definitely be in Iron Country. We did know they were approaching the outskirts of their land and would soon be in Iron Country. Personally, Koden would use the incredibly spacious fields as a milestone to acknowledge this, the fields slowly represented the exchange from Lightning to Iron, when entering the Land of Iron the grass would thin out and slowly become more of dirt with shrubs as opposed to the beautiful greenery that consumed the ground of Kumogakure. In these enormous meadows weren’t host to many trees or much flora at all in that matter. Nothing but the large strands of grass that would stand out of the earth as far as the eye could see.
Eventually, the grounds terrain began to shift to dirt, the mountains were in sight but they were still quite a far distance away. The group would reach their first stop soon… |

| The team ran off Kumogakure with tremendous speed, only black flashes being what was visible of them. The weather was getting worse; The rain poured down harder and in a more furious manner. It looked like someone was throwing buckets of water on the four Shinobi. At least it wasn't windy. Inari was wearing the hood over her head, thus her hair didn't get that drenched. Her face, on the other hand, looked like she was crying. Strands of water were falling from her eyes, while the latter and her nose had turned red because of the cold. Her blue eyes were shining due to the colour contrast as they looked annoyed forward. Inari was slightly angered. She had made an effort to be kind, but the Genin had simply ignored it. Not only didn't they shake her hand, but one of them didn't even greet her. Of course something like this wouldn't distract her from their purpose. Nevertheless, she had to find a different way to touch them. After all, she needed to be able to find her teammates in case they got separated. But for that to be possible, she required to have previously skin contact with them. 'Mm...I'll just do it when we reach our first stop.' she thought as she jumped from one tree branch to another. Taking in the landscape, Inari noticed one thing; Everything was cold and empty. Nothing was moving inside the forest besides the rain flowing the leaves of the high trees. Nature seemed dead, and this dragged the young Chuunin down a bit. After all, she loved vitality and hot weather. Anyway, she tried not to let the weather ruin her mood. She already was feeling lazy before hand, she couldn't afford to feel worse. Jumping from branch to branch while the water was hitting her face, she really wished that she could open her umbrella. That wouldn't do much anyway, since the rain would still get to her face. The group of Shinobi neared a bridge made of stone and stopped there for some seconds. Koden landed first and then Inari, while she admired the beauty of the man created project. It was a piece of art; The bridge was made of white stone which formed an arc in the middle. Almost like a little hill. The girl slowly walked over to the edge and laid her hands on the fence made of rock, as she looked into the river. The water had reached incredibly high levels and a certain amount of power since they were violently slashing against the bridge as though they wanted to tear it down. Inari smirked at the liquid's mood which was resembling a fraction of her mood some moments ago. Koden suddenly continued running and Inari quickly sped after him, placing herself in her previous position. After some time, the environment had started to change. It was lifeless compared to Kumogakure's beautiful flora and fauna. 'We must be getting closer...'

| Kyo Ryuzaki was putting on his Hoddle as they were continuing to follow the leader. Kyo was glad he had an extra set of K bombs with him. It seems with all of this rain something of a catalyst for his flames were needed and the K bombs is a great tool for the water. As the team followed the leader he followed with no question. The lands on his feet were wet from the rain and was on a downpour. Kyo’s eyes were protected from his sunglasses but the area was darker because of it. Although he had sunglasses he made sure to be extra care on his landing. TO make sure of this he focused his chakra to his feet and focused them on his feet so that he was comfortable with each step and something like mud or rain could not lose his balance. It was even trickier since the area was a downhill path. He tried hard to focus on the mission but within minutes it seem to be routine as his body went on “Auto Pilot” and continue down the path as his mind started to stumble on something else. The mind went to a flashback that happen a couple of days ago. Kyo just had a 2 day rest from his last mission and the messenger bird send him Intel on the next mission he was assigned. It seems it would be a large mission and it was handpicked by the Kage that he was needed for the mission. As Kyo read the mission and its Intel he started to wonder what the reasoning of the Raikage to choose him was? He started to re read the mission as he spoken to himself. “Maybe he was sent as a medical ninja to go on the mission. There has been a shortage of medical ninja because of the weird outbreak from the cold and flu season. Or maybe they needed a shinobi with strong katon ninjutsu. I guess it would no matter into why they needed me just, they needed me. Hmm let’s see who I am paired up with. “He started to read the names of his teammates but the only one that was given was the captain, a shinobi from the Aburame clan. Kyo did not know much about the clans famous in the 5 great nation because he was just allowed to be in the village hidden in the clouds not to long ago.. He tried to think if there was anything of this clan that he knew of. Nothing came up, he did not go on any missions with an Aburame, he did not go to treat anyone in the ER from that clan. Maybe his mentor knew something about him that he did not know of.
Kyo went to the inner house to find his mentor and see what he was up to. He was in his lab the special “Wear Protection” sign was hanging up. He sighed as he went to a nearby room and started to put on his lab coat and them a medical mask and surgical gloves. As he was prepared he knocked on the door. He waited a few moments as his mentor spoken “Come in” as that happened he started to come inside to see the mentor messing with some test tubes. He slowly closed the door and started to enter the room and then stared to speak. “Mentor what are you working on?”
His mentor started to record some data on two of the test tubes as he then placed his clipboard down and started to look at him and then spoken. “I am working on an advance formula of the outbreak of cold and flu coming in to the land. Me and my college has made some type of antibiotic but it seems that we may need a stronger formula to keep this as bay. It has been a busy week for me. So is there something you are here for Kyo?” Kyo started to explain to his mentor that he was going to set out on another mission. It seems this mission was handpicked by the Raikage. As he finished explaining he then asked the question of his team captain and if there is anything he should know about him. “Well Kyo you want to know about him hua. Hmm lets see here. I do not know of that ninja per say but I do know a little something about his clan.” As he finished his sentence he started to cork the tubes so that he could review them later on and then he started to focus his attention to his student and then started to exhale slowly and then started to speak. “The Aburame clan has been famous through the five great nations. You have heard of the leaf village correct? Well that’s is probably the best location of were the Aburame‘s origin began. Not much is known about the clan to the general public but there’re KKG is known to a point. They are Insect Users. What are insect users you ask? Well they are just as the name says they are a special clan of shinobi that uses insects as weapons and their ninja way just like you are able to use fire. The Clan’s abilities allow them be great a mission requiring stealth, sensory, and assassinations. The can communicate with their insects and to use the insects at their will could provide many uses in the eyes of the shinobi. The only thing I do know is that they are selective on what medical personnel they attend to. They would come to random medical ninja if they have no choice, well at least that’s what I have seen with an Aburame clan member I saw not to long ago. The secrets of that clan are sacred to them and with you being a medical ninja, well let’s just say you keep what you learn about that clan to yourself. Okay now is there anything else?”
Kyo started to shake his head no. There was not much information his mentor had said but what he said could provide with more information then how much he actually said about them. They are shinobi who uses insects. With the use of insects they are avid shinobi of sensory, sabotage, and assassination. The uses of the bugs are great because not many people would attend to an insect if they are looking out for enemy humans. Still what he said earlier about keeping their secrets to themselves, caught his attention. It seems that Kyo was trusted as the team’s medical ninja and if something happened to him he would have to look after the team captain. “If I find anything of his clan I should keep it to myself, well that doesn’t seem to be a problem. The mission seems to have much more in it then meets the eye if they have a shinobi of that clan in the mission. It seems that I have to be on my toes.” The flashback ended as he heard something different then what he was hearing before, it was a harden landing. He looked and say they were now going on route on a different terrain. His feet landed on the new terrain of the bridge as the captain was self motivated to reach the randevu spot. Kyo continued on his pace and gave him the up most attention he deserved. The shinobi here was all ready to comply with the mission. He was hoping he was ready for what might happen, mistakes are not an option. Especially with a leader that seems to be very focused on this mission. This mission… would change a lot in the country If it went successful. They were now in charge of history. (Wc: 1307 ) |

| The rain was pelting Morel hard, the wind blowing directly against him caused the cold pellets of water to sting as they hit the unprotected portions of his face. He had to keep a hand on the hood of his cloak to prevent it from flying off as he ran. His cigarette had long been extinguished and the entire thing was soaked through, causing it to almost be matted to his face. It was practically an over-sized spitball at this point, so he lifted his free hand and peeled it off his face, crushed and threw it into the mud ahead of him before stomping it into oblivion.
The mountain path was treacherous to navigate, the heavy rain had turned the dirt trails into a slide of mud and gravel. Getting a good footing would be impossible without good chakra control. Several times Morel used this to his advantage by landing on a particularly steep part and sliding down on one foot. Leaping again only once he hit a large embedded rock or when the mud piled up to a point where it began to slow his momentum. The forest around them was dead silent and with the lack of sunlight able to pierce both the clouds and sea of leaves, he could not see far into the thicket. Combined with the pelting rain and silence of wildlife gave the area a very foreboding aura.
As the group continued in silence, the hours ticked by and the rain slowly began to let up as they reached a large stone bridge. The solid stone was a pleasant change from the shifting mud of the mountains. They were close to the boarder now, the trees and rocks he was familiar with quickly began to become sparse and opened into large, rolling fields. This was the first time he had ever been this far from the village and as such, he could not help but take in the scenery as the squad began to pick up speed once more. Morel again taking up the rear. |

| OOC: For anybody reading this mission who isn't apart of it, you may know that the topic continues in Iron Country and not in the Traveling Boards, that's because I made the mistake of posting here instead of the traveling boards the second time around, which would be considered our travel to Iron Country.
The topic is continued here; posting order still stands. Pit Stop. [P] |
