| There was that warm kick again. Jiyuu noticed it as he was walking down the forest path. He could feel that warm breeze again passing by the hair on his arms and face. It had been awhile since that last warm kick. It was said in the weather that it will be nice for the next week or so. It was forecast that it should be enjoyed for awhile because the next wave was that of rain showers. Heat, rain, snow and repeat. The mountains was something of a ever changing place that never seem to fit into one mood. It was the one thing that made Kumogakure so interesting because it was the fact that it change. Villages like sunagakure had it hot all the time. There was never really appreciation of the weather whereas Kumo had that mixture of weather and when it rained or snowed, you find the heat a bit more pleasurable.
However, Jiyuu was going to miss out on this heating adventure. Oh yes, ladies and gentlemen, Jiyuu had left the building. He has gone away, gone fishing, gone to hike the mountains and blah, blah blah, blah blah. Jiyuu wasn't too upset about it, he was kinda glad that he had a chance to take the mission to Snow Country. He had never been to snow country. Even though it is a country apart from Iron, he only heard rumors of the continous snow they get most of the seasons.
"Thats some weird shit" he said to himself "It's just like rain country but Rain country does kinda make sense. It sits between alot of places that have alot of heat. Heat evaporates the water and the water has to go somewhere I guess. Kinda weird it's like centered towards THAT specific country. So what's snow's country excuse"
There was no answer.
Not a surprise, he wasn't really trying to find out today. He'll just think of this as a vacation of a sort. Him, travelling alone and through the countryside where he would try and solve a murder mystery. It's like every's kid fantasy come true. The only he was missing was food and maybe a girlfriend but that could come later. He was hoping the weather in snow country wouldn't be too bad. It would be a pain to be in the middle of a storm when he got there. Then he cursed at himself because he probably jynxed it. Yeah, he has a tendency of jynxing himself for no reason. Well, it couldn't be all that bad he guessed.
"Just remember. You are getting a whole lot of food when you get back. mm mm mm, Mizu's beef and chicken stew. One of my absolute favorites. I hope it has more beef this time than chicken. Or maybe she'll put it a extra of both!" he smiled with glee and shivered at the thought "oh man, I can't get too excited otherwise I'll go running back home asking for her stew. Kaze would get pretty agitated if I just ditched a mission for meat and stew. Hell, who WOULDN"T want to do that?"
He took a stop at a food stand where they were selling dango for cheap. The man offered Jiyuu some but Jiyuu declined politely. He would ask for one when he got back whoever. He knew one of the neighbor kids really liked dango and how they rarely selled it around in Kumogakure. He would bring a whole bunch to the kid and easily give it to him. He did help him move his stuff to his apartment so it was the least he could do. Jiyuu had packed some clothes for the trip, alot of heavy clothing that would fit him well in his travels to snow. |
