Hey guys, I'm keeping it short and sweet because I'm tired, but the question is if we brought blogging to the site would you use it. This will allow members to just post up almost whatever they want in that section and have other people comment on it, mainly being used to write about your day and week and hopefully all that jazz, like a tumblr for example. Anyway, if you do vote on the poll I'd extremely recommend you reply to this thread too saying which answer you picked and WHY you picked it, so why or why not do you think a blog would be good for Ultimate Shinobi?

That's not what you said in the staff lounge at all. It's not complicated at all, it would take three-five minutes to establish, as I said in the staff lounge.

I can't really vote, I'm on both fences.

Yay, because it would be nice to have two places to randomly spout out those little moments I have, writing down feeling. It would be nice to show the soul of someone, or rather what I do, and perhaps maybe even share things that I normally wouldn't. I would like for that to be at the bottom of the forum however, to make things easier.

And no, because it's just simply another thing in which to distract people from actually posting. That, and Ingoo already has it, and stuff. So it's just a matter of preference really.

*shrugs* I could go either way. not like I can do much on the site >.< so it would keep me distracted, maybe lol. XD

Who wants to hear about the daily lives of people who occupy their time by being on a internet roleplaying site? That would more or less imply that the vast majority don't have particularly enjoyable or interesting social lives outside of here, and beyond that the potential for massive drama is lurking beneath the depths that apparently has been missed thus far. Of course, this would be blogging so people are going to lie to make themselves seem more interesting anyways so I guess it doesn't really matter *shrug*

Im actually going to flop on this. Due to the hypocrisy of thing idea even being brought up based on certain things that have been said to me from staff members before that I can tie directly onto this, I say no based on your own arguments that you have used against me in the past. I wont go into detail as to not ignite old fires but all the same I laugh boisterously that this has been brought up based on past happenings that werent all that long ago.

I said yes, quite honestly that it doesn't have to be something that basis itself on the lives of others. It can be like a twitter, posting short updates that might be brought to the site, long updates that are already being put in progress, or even just small changes to certain individual things. I mean, if Adam/Godaime Mizukage was to get hacked and the forum got deleted, not only could we back it up because Forumotion backs itself up daily, but we would also know what we put in place if it only backed up to a certain date before changes were made.

Along with that, you can even get people to post up ideas that they think could be brought to the site, instead of clogging up the Administrators PM box, you can post it quietly on a blog. How simple is that?

I think blogging could be a good idea. There are many problems(such as WHO gets them and HOW) that could arise, but it'd be nice for people here to post ideas on various themes(whether music, anime reviews, or just random shit they want to say). It's also a nice way to get into blogging, and writing for that matter(if RPing isn't enough), and learn about other people and things.

What will Blogging bring that people simply can't do in the General Discussion area? If people wanted to blog already, the General Discussion can more then cater for them there.

But the General Discussion area exists. D: People can do that there if they wish. There doesn't have to be a specific area for it.

It's a completely different to General Discussion, it states in the description that it is preferably Naruto Related, hell I could make the Blogging Area a branch off General Discussion if that is continually going to be the mainstream of your arguement.

Preferably. Preferably is more or less a suggestion but not a requirement. Adam wat you do yourself with your daily song could very well be considered a blog, which backs up Dan's statment of that it is really not needed. Theres no reason that general discussion cant be used for people to blog in if they so choose. I agree with him on this.

Honest to whatever divine deity or cardboard cut-out of Simon Cowl that the individual reader believes to be gifted with other-worldly universally unlimited powers, I was pretty sure blogs were an extinct species until reading this topic. I thought the Twitter beast had already usurped its niche as 'pointless posting by people who think they have relevant things to say and an audience that might want to hear about it'. The laws of basic ecology and environmental science state only one creature to occupy a niche in an ecosystem, so imagine my surprise to hear that the creature is not only not extinct, but attempting to come into a new habitat.

Clearly we are all being far too close-minded about this situation, we need to preserve this elusive species as it is quite a rare being in order to properly observe and examine it. I'm quite curious to know what its reproductive habits are, do blogs asexually bud off into new blogs when someone decides 'pff, I can write something more interesting than this guy...' because thats my prevalent theory of blog reproduction. Honestly, its quite a fascinating subject and I'm quite intrigued, does the blog know about its status as an endangered species?

Perhaps there are places where the blog still roams, free to be ignored by the majority of the sane universe with enough of mind and self-dignity to be aware that nobody cares about their personal lives if they're not on speed-dial on your phone already. I have never seen a blog in person though, like I've stated I believed them extinct, though I used to have a malnourished one I forgot to feed with regular doses of 'ego boost' while I was in England. When I came back all that was left were pictures of Wargreymon and what I think was a Neopet...attempting to have sex with Wargreymon...

PEOPLE! Who are we to defy this species right to inhabit this new territory? Clearly it is a survivor from the great Twitter wars, and we should want to provide a stable home for the species as is our civic duty to preserve endangered species! We should offer the blog safe haven here so it can repopulate its numbers and return to being the majestic beast it once was!

...oh wait...blogs were never majestic and have been the universal sign of failure and imagined importance since the dawn of their conception in the womb of Satan after a night alone with Donald Trump...oh...

Look around you! This is the PERFECT place to set up a new blog habitat, theres enough ego to feed this strange creature for at least 100 years! Why would you guys be so selfish as to not want to share with the poor starving creature?! YOU SICK BASTARDS! WHAT DID THE BLOG DO TO YOU?! IT JUST WANTS TO BE LOVED!!! If I could change my vote I'd change it to yes, I apologize deeply to the blog, I had not considered its status as an endangered species before voting and simply assumed it was a nuisance. Now I realize the error of my ways, and am fully aware that we must allow the blog safe passage and allow its species to recooperate here.

Anyway......RPG's aside, I don't really think anyone would truely use it since after reading this I realised Adam's Song of the Day is like a blog but it is in a place that is supposed to be for Naruto Discussions. I don't really see a point in trying to argue this point because there is just some people you can't argue with.
