Finally at Kusa. - Page 2 Vide
PostSubject: Re: Finally at Kusa. Finally at Kusa. - Page 2 EmptyWed 13 Apr 2011, 5:30 am

So much was happening in the time the village had woken up with the sun. Although it was mid-day it was filled with so much stuff. There was four shinobi in the mist. We had the female Hana, The unnamed shinobi, Blaize, and now another shinobi who seemed a bit powerful then the other three in the general area. He still waited for the man’s reactions for what he had said. Blaize had not been in a level of genius but he did have a “keen eye for details.” The matters that be brought up for the man was something that anyone would have asked but he had some evidence in his statement. The clothing, the face, and where he was showed details in which he had not been in this general area at this time. For not with was not the point to speak. The issue now how was this going down. Will the man now go on the offensive now that the guy holding the kunai was calling him out? Or maybe he will attack because he was ordering around the female of the group? He was with her longer then Blaize had, so he did not know how long they knew each other or the status of their relationship.

He started to wonder what his counter-attack will be as well. He thought to himself as he was now behind the older shinobi, he was his superior and another comrade so his intention had to be for a reason, whatever the reason he knew that he should be in between them. “So the only thing I can do now is wait it out, although something like this can turn into a way that everyone will be in the way the smartest move is to take a defensive and make a jump to the tree behind me. Then I could survey the area in a higher view and take action then. It would be best to make sure I can do something if something is going down. The air is getting thick was this atmosphere. What is his next move? What are you going to do here? Are you sure this is the right place to take a fight? I can assume that the girl is also a shinobi so it might be a three on one fight if the older one here cannot handle him alone.”

His mind came back into reality when the mysterious shinobi now answered. It seemed he was only here to visit the village for some supplies. So he was a traveler, his intentions seemed rather innocent enough, although whatever intentions he could assume that the village would watch him like a hawk. His words could be different from the truth, worst case scenario he was observing the village to see the defenses and post of guarding shinobi. These were a bit out of reach to think but it was possible. So he just merely was here for his supplies and he was to handle the paper work later on. He was not sure if he tried to do this already, so his theory still could stand that he had yet to enter the village. Maybe, but with this hot tempered shinobi it may seem that the shinobi could take anything the wrong way. The time was soon for the man to react but something else was coming in the mist. As he finished introducing himself that thing in the mist was now showing himself. Before Blaize could even detect something was wrong a new comer now joined them, this man came here quicker than the other man before him. As well as Blaize could not detect him at all, not even a little bit. This person, whoever he is was far more powerful then the man he was standing in front of.

The man showed his true colors, he was of Kusa as well and it seemed that he wanted to deal with this shinobi as well. Just who was this shinobi? Why was he so special to even attract the Jounin of the village? He might just be a shinobi passing by but it could be something as well. Now the count of shinobi was Five. Mannox, as the missing ninja was now called. Then there was Hana, Blaize, Renjiro, and Abelard. Renjiro was the first older shinobi that shown up, he was of Chuunin rank and Abelard of Jounin rank, a high one to be a helper to the Kusakage. Mannox had attracted all of these shinobi with his presence but now it seemed that it was over. The Jounin ordered everyone to leave as he was going to ask question to Mannox. So much was happening that Blaize was trying to convey the information in his memory banks. As this issue was being resolved the man named Mannox said his farewell to the him and Hana. For Hana he went as bold enough to grab her and kiss her upon the lips. Blaize started to wonder how bold he really was. To do this not only around people, but around a Jounin and Chuunin who wanted to ask him questions. This was not something that he wanted to put his voice in so he let that go. He said to him that he wished to spar him. Blaize smiled and was determined to find out why he wanted to do something like that but he admit, he would not mind sparing someone he had no information of. The curiosity was sparking his mind. Well it stopped as the Jounin explained that he was a missing nin, C rank in nature and with no crimes. Although the reason why he was labled as such was still a mystery even to the Jounin. Blaize wanted to know what all this was about as well. He wanted to ask but before he could, his voice was going to be interrupted after seeing the actions of the female.

The female went out of her way to kiss him once again. This time with deep passion. He started to look elsewhere. This was not something he wanted to see. She herself had guts to do this with superior shinobi looking at him for questioning. He started to close one eye and focus his eye at the tree. The tree that the Jounin explained that this man had help from. “He called him a Nara, and something to do with the shadows. Was he going to use jutsu that was formed with shadows? I have not know much about other clans but a clan using that, it seems interesting to me. He wanted to spar me, maybe I will get to know more information as the time arises.” He started to focus back at the two as the kiss was over. The Jounin still wanted to know what he was going to do. After Hana’s answer he spoken “I want to know more about this ninja as well, I cannot question him but maybe tagging along I could learn more information about someone we have not a lot of detail on. “

As Renjiro noticed the nukenin walk towards the tree he formed a set of handsigns, three to be exact, in a flash however he didn't get to execute the jutsu before a blur of green flashed before his eyes. Renjiro's eyes dashed to the persons location and he instantly recognised him "... Abelard ... Wh-". Before he could finish Abelard interrupted him completely and then to add insult to injury he ordered him to leave, undermined his authority, disregarded the fact Renjiro was out there to protect the Genin out there who shouldn't even be able to leave the gates unattended, take care and escort the Genin back into the village.

Renjiro glared with anger at Abelard and once he had finished speaking and the rest had spoken Renjiro interrupted them all and spoke "As you wish Assistant to the Lady Kusakage" he then pocketed his kunai and began writing on a piece of paper

Spoiler:

He looked to Abelard and handed him a note as he looked to Hana and Blaize. He completely ignored Hana's wish to be with the nukenin but saying "Come on Blaize ... Hana ... Lets be going then ... Time to leave and i'll be dealing with your punishments for leaving the village gates unattended momentarily". He turned to Hana "You will come with me ... kicking or screaming you WILL be coming ... You don't want to see an interrogation from start to finish ... it isn't pleasant ... Come quietly" Whilst saying that last piece he kept his eyes on Adelard and the nukenin but each time he stared at Adelard it was in such a way to indicated a 'don't even think of interfering in this' look.

He then walked backwards still looking at them as he slowly made his way to the gates. He was not going to leave an opening to either person.

Abelard smiled ruefully at his counterpart's very angry demeanor. He could see that he was incredibly upset that Abelard had undermined his authority, and that he had utterly embarrassed him in front of both a missing ninja and 2 genin. However, Abelard wouldn't be leaving it at that. Oh no, it was not in his personality to do so. People needed to know there place, and it was just too enjoyable for Abelard to poke fun at this incredibly violent bloke. That, and, Abelard simply couldn't deal with Renjiro's blaming the problem on them. That is what angered him more than anything, though he wouldn't show it, of course. After Renjiro finished, Abelard smiled inwardly at the look he was given. It was that 'don't you dare think about embarrassing me further' look. Abelard shot him back a mockingly stern look before beginning his inevitably long rant at the chuunin. It was his job to keep him in line and remember him that he was far from being the boss. Abelard began by holding up a hand to Blaize and Hana "Blaize, Hana, first of all, do not leave unless you desire to. Any order issued by the Chuunin" Abelard made sure to put particular emphasis on the word "Renjiro cannot circumvent one given by me. And because of that, you may, as I originally told you, choose to stay or leave. This interrogation is going to be far from the bloody and violent scene Renjiro no doubt expects. Unlike him I do not have a tendency for violence, and have no reason to treat this newcomer with anything but extremely cautious, if not polite, respect. Furthermore, Renjiro, I am appalled that you would call Blaize and Hana out on not protecting the gate. First of all, they were both here long before you issued your violent and unnecessary threat. Second of all, they are Genin, and guard duty is reserved for Chuunin and above. Thirdly, the manner you reacted does not fit your age. I have been here since the beggining, listening to their conversation and deciding when it would be necessary to act. Unfortunately for me, it was when you made your dangerous statement, riddled with violence." Abelard looked over at the Nukenin "If you are indeed innocent of any transgressions, I appologize for the rude way you have been ushered into this village." He then looked over at Blaize and Hana "I am however very proud of you too for approaching the manner in such a kind way. In the future, however, I would advise you to be more careful. Because as kind as this man is, he could be dangerous, and it's our mission to protect our village from such threats. However" He paused "Some words to live by are that you will get much farther with a few kind words then a hundred angry ones" Abelard looked back to Renjiro "Perhaps, since this man is such an immense threat, you had better check the other gates to make sure he doesn't have an army of equally polite, if not a bit crass, friends. Meanwhile, I have an investigation to conduct, and perhaps these genin could learn something from it."

Mannox smiled a bit to himself as Hana kissed him. His heart fluttered and he hasn't felt that in a long time.He enjoyed her kissing him back, even if was roughly. He was used to the rough terrain of the world and his life, so rough wasn't something he was new to. He held her close as she kissed him and he held her tightly. He didn't want her to leave him.

As he recovered from the kiss he looked around at the other genin. He noticed the he was staring at the tree and he seemed to be in thought. Shortly after the genin spoke. He said that he wanted to learn more about Mannox. Mannox thought to himself, Why am I so popular today?

He then looked to the embarassed ninja who was now leaving. This guy really seemed like he wanted Mannox dead. What does he have against me? Mannox wondered.

He turned to Abelard, "I would like Hana and Blaize to stay please. I'm ready for any questioning you may have." He nodded.

[To speed this up i'll break post order and do my leaving post now so crap can move quicker. It's short but it fits the shortness of what he does]

Renjiro stood there as Adelard spoke ... Renjiro's eyes with a fire of fury. He turns shaking his head and starts to walk away. "Whatever dude ... " he replied whilst still walking away slowly. He then suddenly dashed away and it appeared to the Genin and the nukenin that he disappeared in an instant however he was just simply using speed which they couldn't keep up. However Renjiro made his way not towards the village but further away into the forest. This was because Renjiro sensed another chakra presence and somehow Adelard did not pick up on it ... or he was ignoring it.

(Okies I think we need a new post order. Haha, I was confused as to if Pat would go twice again or not. But, since Manny just went last night I think I'll go next, then Blaize, Pat, and Manny again. Kay?)

Hana was growing angry with Renjiro again. He had tried bringing her back and taking her away when the Jonin had given her a choice to stay. She huffed and walked over to Renjiro. She stopped right in front of him and looked him in the eye. I'm. Staying." she growled threateningly.

Hana smirked a bit though because before Renjiro could act or threaten or anything further Abelard spoke up. He put Renjiro in his place and Hana felt a bit of relief when he left. Hana played with her hair a bit before pushing it back behind her ear and then placing the hand on her hip.

She watched Mannox and Abelard with hawk eyes. Making sure that Abelard, no matter how much respect and how awesome she thought he was, wasn't going to harm Mannox. Though the real threat had left for now. She was glad for that. She wondered if sparring with Renji would be fun sometime? Perhaps since he seemed strong. Though she brought her thoughts back to the three she was with.

(sorry it's short. I only had 20 minutes. Next is Blaize)

PostSubject: Re: Finally at Kusa. Finally at Kusa. - Page 2 EmptyFri 15 Apr 2011, 5:31 am

Blaize started to see the two elder shinobi going at it. He started to look at the Chuunin. He noticed that no matter how he was going to get shut down he kept on and kept on. Trying to get the last word was not a good thing to do when you are not the center of attention. It did not matter anymore the issues were now being dealt with. Blaize was going to go on ahead and follow the Jounin until the Chuunin once again started to make himself look good. He started to tell the genin that they must return to the village and get ready for a punishment for leaving the mission. Blaize was a patient person but this Chuunin was now starting to get on his nerves. He spoke out of term to Hana and he spoke out of term to him. He started to close his eyes to calm his down as he was now going to retaliate to him until the Chuunin was spoken to from the Jounin. The Jounin was the only one in the group who did not get ticked off about him, he was rather calm, cool, and collected on how he was handling the issue.

Really better than Blaize. Blaize had patients and he knew his patients was limiting with this Chuunin. The Jounin told him to stand down and to leave, as he repeated to him that he had already told the two genin to choose whether or not to come or stay. He started to ensure Hana and Blaize that the interrogation would not be anything too serious, just a simple routine check type of interrogation. Blaize did not matter what it was the information he was learning was just as good enough. As the Chuunin was finished being spoken to Blaize started to raise his scroll from his pocket and swirled it around in his hands and then started to speak. “If you don’t remember Genin are chosen to do missions as well. Mine was to be a messenger so I had permission to leave the gates. Also we are all Kusa shinobi we can stay within the boarder of the village not the boarder of the gates. That is two different things. He started to put his scroll back into his pocket as the Chuunin made some last remarks and left with his speed. He started to see his movement but they did not last long. While he was slower then the Jounin, he was still a Chuunin. His speed was a bit too much for him to catch up. Difficult to follow at this level. For now it did not matter because the three of them were now going to be escorting the missing ninja inside of the village. He started to look at the Jounin and spoken. “Lead the way sir.” He said as he then started to follow the Jounin lead to the village. He started to wonder what the chuunin’s action was. Why he was trying to act big and bad is not a good thing to be. Still, he did make it to Chuunin so there must have been something promising about him that the village noticed.

Abelard had to stifle a laugh as he watched the young, and doubtlessly rash genin Hana warn Renjiro threateningly that she was saying. It was far too funny, and if not for the training he had at concealing emotions, he doubtfully would've been able to conceal his laughter. Its nice to see some spirit in these kids. Let's just hope they don't grow to have a head as large as Renjiro's. Sometimes, I think his ability with the mokuton element has given him a bit of a block head He smiled in his thoughts at the unspoken joke. Part of living the way he did was making himself laugh, and enjoying the smallest of things. It was also nearly expected of a Ranger Clan Jounin to be sarcastic and rude to those who try to assert authority over him. Especially when they actually don't have any. Abelard looked back now to the missing ninja and the two genin who were watching expectantly. Ah, what it was like to be young and curious. It's unfortunate that this kind of proceeding was relatively boring when there was no real threat. Abelard turned to speak to the missing ninja. "Alright now, Mannox. These proceedings aren't terribly difficult, but there is a procedure to follow, and it must be obeyed. Further more," Abelard looked to Hana and Blaize "Any act to interupt an interrogation is considered treason and will be treated as such. Though I'm sure I won't have to worry about anything like that from you, will I? No? good." Abelard turned back to Mannox. "First, I'm going to have to ask you to remove any and all of your weapons, and set them on the ground beside you. Not to worry, I won't be confiscating them or anything of the sort, as I said, it's merely just procedure." Abelard gave him time to remove his weapons before speaking again "Next, I'm going to need you to sign a pretty simple document." Abelard reached into his cloak and pulled out a piece of paper. Grabbing a pen, he scribbled furiously on it, finishing by drawing 2 lines across the bottom. "If you're wondering it reads- 'This document declares upon the signature of the arrested that he/she has no ill intent towards the village of Kusagakure, the Nation of the Grass Country, or any of it's inhabitants. By signing this, you agree to interrogation, imprisonment, and surveillance, should any of these things be deemed necessary. Failure to comply with any of these terms can result in imprisonment, permanent banishment, or death, decided by the High Council of Kusagakure. Terms which cannot be violated include: The arrested may commit no act of thievery, violence, extortion, kidnapping, or anything else which is against the noble laws of Kusagakure and the Grass Country. This document provides proof of an arrest of the arrested that is fully usable as an affidavit. By signing it, you agree that you have been arrested by Jounin Abelard, Assistant to the the Kusakage. Signature of the arrested: ______________________' Now, if that's completely understood, I just need you to sign your name. If you're worried about the whole imprisonment and surveillance jargon, don't be, it's for high ranking criminals. I give you my word that all you'll be subjected to is an interrogation. Of course, lying in this interrogation would violate the contract, which could undoubtedly result in imprisonment. But I doubt you'll do anything like that. Now, a bit less interesting then you thought, eh Blaize, Hana?" Abelard looked at the genin and then back to the missing ninja, hoping that he would comply. Of course, Abelard didn't let his guard down for a single moment, he never did. He would be ready for any act of violence. And you had best believe that he was watching that ninja's shadow.

Mannox looked to Abelard with a sigh of relief after he mentioned that Mannox would not be imprisoned. He smiled at Hana and kicked his weapons to the side further from him, just to ensure to Abelard that he would not attempt anything. He looked to the jounin and spoke, "I'm glad that there will be only questions." He grabbed the paper and pen and signed his name. "I assure you both verbally and written that I mean no harm to anyone unless attacked. I am here for supplies and work." He leaned over to Abelard and whispered in his ear, "And perhaps if I like it here and that beautiful genin over there wishes me to, I will one day ask for a conference with the high council about perhaps becoming a Kusagakure warrior and fight for the better of the city." He pulled back and smiled. "Thank you. Perhaps one day, we can become friends, Abelard."

PostSubject: Re: Finally at Kusa. Finally at Kusa. - Page 2 EmptyMon 18 Apr 2011, 12:28 am

Hana watched with interest with how Abelard handled things. She wanted to be like that someday. Someone who could take control of a situation, demand respect, and have total confidence in his or her abilities. Not to mention he was intelligent. He was peaceful in his actions yet at any second he knew he could take on Mannox. Though she respected him because she knew that he could just be unfair and take him to the Kusakage. Though instead he decided to work with Mannox.

He even let the genin watch and stay if they wished it. Complying with Mannox's request. It was quite admirable. For now Hana deemed him as the person she most respected in the village. Other than the Kusakage of course.

Hana gulped slightly as he said that if they acted against him that it would be an act of treason. She wondered if she would go that far for Mannox. She barely knew him. Yes, she did feel an attraction and a protectiveness over him. But would she really fight Abelard for him? She supposed the situation just depended on it.

Her mind then began going through different scenarios. Like it Abelard's personlity suddenly changed and he attacked Mannox. She would surely help him. Another scenario was where Mannox got offended over something Abelard said and then began to attack the jonin. Hana would surely help out the Jonin. Her mind soon began to spin. She shook her head and tried not to think about such things. She would just have to wait and find out what would happen.

She watched as Abelard drew up a contract and asked Mannox to sign it. She read over Abelards shoulder to see if what he was saying out loud matched what was on the parchment. It did. Word-for-word. Yes, indeed he was intelligent. Not everyone could come up with something so excellently worded in only twenty seconds.

Hana caught Mannox's eye as he smiled at her. She smiled back unable to stop if she could. Hana was then puzzled at what Mannox had whispered in the Jonin's ear. It was obviously something secret. Was Mannox secretly a messenger? And that he needed to give a message to the Kusakage? Or was he making a secret threat to Abelard? Her mind, once again began reeling at the different scenarios. Obviously she hated not knowing things.

Her thoughts were then set to quiet, at Mannox's last words. He wanted to become friends? Then perhaps it was something friendly he said to Abelard. Unless he was bi... then perhaps he whispered something dirty to the jonin? Hana blushed bright red at these thoughts and shook her head once again. Anyone paying attention to her would think she had a whole hive of bees in her brain. Obviously trying to get them out.

Hana sighed. Though perked up slightly. "Abelard, I don't think this is boring in the least. In actuality I think I'm learning quite a bit as to how a Jonin should handle things."

Blaize started to look and observe the whole situation. The Chuunin now left for his own reasons but he could not help but to wonder what those reasons are. No matter, the issue with Mannox needed to be delt with. As he started to follow the shinobi to the preceding he noticed the Jounin now taking charge and asking the missing ninja to comply to some request. The first was the request to leave his weapons and such behind. As that happened Blaize started to look at some of the weapons he was dropping. He was intrigued at this shinobi and wanted to know a bit more about him. I mean he did want to spar against Blaize right? He wondered how he would be able to contact him outside of this interrogation. He then started to think about dropping one of his bombs in his pile of weaponry. His bomb was a potassium based bomb with some of his chakra. He was able to sense his own chakra from a few meters away and thought if he could located him like that then he will be able to take to him on a later chance. Before that even happened he started to wonder if he even should.

He looked at the pile and then up at Mannox. It did not even seem as he was paying much attention at hand. Hana, on the other hand was so focused on Mannox himself instead of the weaponry. Then there was the Jounin, he did not have his eyes just on him. It looked like he was keeping an eye on everything that his eye can focus on, including the pouch. Must have been training on Jounin to take everything seriously. He could not help but noticed that he was starting next to Mannox, almost behind him. Blaze started to look and waited a bit to see what he was so interested him. It was then he remembered that the Jounin spoke of his clan that was able to use the shadows. It must have been that he was focused on. Are attacks from the shadows that important to have a focus on? How does one use the shadows for combat? Guess the Jounin did not want to have the missing ninja even try any of his tactics to get out. The interrogation was about to start but he then had other pre-interrogations to go over. One being a signature of a document he was just making.

The document did not last long to make for the Jounin. It did not take long for Blaize to be curious on what the document held, it seem neither did Hana. Hana tried to look over the Jounin shoulder as the Jounin then spoken out what he was writing. It was a document to make sure that the Missing Ninja would comply to all rules and regulations of Kusa and that Kusa, in turn, will treat him in a peaceful way and will not do anything to harm him unless he harms anything of the village. It almost reminded him of peace treaties he learned about in the academy. It must have been some security measures for the Jounin to do before fully questioning him. The process seems rather simple, even the Jounin had told them that it could have been boring. Blaize did not matter how the situation was going to be processed. He also knew this was some work before the interrogation so he did know that more was going to show up. There was something else bugging him, why was the Missing Ninja so kind. Even his response was in a kind way.

He knew better then not to judge a book by its cover but this was something else. The missing ninja was kind enough to go through all of this. Mind you his basic plan was to get some supplies and then leave the village. Also the Jounin did mention earlier that the missing ninja had not have crimes in his day and it was unknown in the village why he became a missing ninja. So why is someone so kind had to leave the village? The village he called home, what was his history. The bingo book classified him as a missing ninja but there was no ill will on him. Was he tricking us? Was he just using Kusa and the villagers in it for his own gain? What was his gain? To have some attraction to the female shinobi part of it? It would throw him off some suspicion but still. All of these questions where floating in his head. He knew, no doubt, that the Jounin must have been thinking the same thing. Or he was thinking in better detail then Blaize was thinking. Blaize did not speak much but just nodded when he was asked questions and was too intrigued on the situation to give his own opinions as of yet.

Abelard was more than pleased at the peaceful nature of the Missing Ninja Mannox. Being more than happy to comply with the removal of his weapons, and as well with the signing of the affidavit, Abelard was extremely content to avoid confrontation. He had glared at the young, eager genin as she peered over his shoulder none to discreetly to see what he was writing. He made no mention of it, however. Children were, in nature, quite curious. After it had been signed. Abelard rolled the document up and tucked it in his cloak. The other Genin, Blaize looked content with the situation, and while Hana may have found it interesting, he could tell that Blaize saw the simplicity in the situation, and appreciated it for such. Abelard also noted that the boy had been eying the missing ninja's weapons. Obviously not in a wish to steal them, but more likely because he was curious since the missing ninja had hinted at a desire to spar with the genin blaize. What it was like to be young and carefree, Abelard remarked in his mind. It wasn't too long ago that Abelard had the same freedoms and spirit. But, he was bound by duty now, a fate that he kindly accepted and cherished. After all, protecting the ability for children to have this kind of fun was far more important than experiencing it himself. He was content with watching them.

Abelard looked over with an icy glare on his face at the missing ninja, as Mannox mentioned his desire to possibly court the young. Before Mannox had turned away from whispering to Abelard, Abelard spoke a few quiet words, that would be heard only by Mannox. He spoke with a tone that would be unmistakable. It wasn't rude, or threatening, but rather promising, as if the person using it knew absolutely that what they said was true. "I warn you that being so young, thoughts in general are a dangerous thing, let alone thoughts like that. You're of course free to choose any path you wish, but I would certainly advise against doing anything that my cause her harm. I'm not the only one who would be a bit upset for that. Not a threat, just a friendly reminder" The speed at which Abelard said all this was incredible, and yet his clarity of speaking was remarkably clear. Sure that nobody had noticed, he addressed everyone. "Now, let's get this interrogation underway." Abelard did not smile as he said this. Abelard gestured towards the village wall. There was a door in a tower, inside which was a room where the interrogation would take there. There was a group of ninja in there, who left immediately upon seeing Abelard's figure. Abelard walked forward and held the door open, gesturing all three into the room. "Again, Blaize and Hana, you are welcome to observe this, but you may not in anyway interfere with it." Abelard paused and turned to Mannox "Please, have a seat at the table. I'll need you to roll up your sleeves and place both of your arms on the table, open palmed, palms facing the ceiling." Abelard seated himself at the chair opposite where Mannox would be sitting. He waited for the Missing ninja to do as he was instructed.

As they walked toward the tower he looked to Abelard. "I would never do something like that." He looked to hana and smiled. He went willingly yet in the back of his mind he was worried that someone would come along and steal his weapons. That halberd, that sword, those were his life. Without those he wouldn't have gotten this far, without those, he would have been dead many years ago. They came closer and he looked back at his weapons. There they were, sure as before, sitting next to the tree. He eyed them until the door closed. He snapped back to reality when he heard the jounin's request. He seemed a bit confused by such an odd request but did as he was told. He removed his gloves and his cloak which left his arms open. He looked to the light above and noticed it was right on him. He was glad of that. Even if he panicked his shadow couldn't do much unless it moved under the table. He put his hands on the table, palms facing up and kept his hands open. "I am ready to proceed, Abelard."

((I think that it would be best that from here, we do Pattycakes, Mannox, Pattycakes, Mannox, Hana, Blaize, Repeat, since interrogation is a lot of back and forth work.))
Abelard looked patiently as the missing ninja to be interrogated removed both his cloak and gloves, just as Abelard had ordered. Abelard had a feeling that this interrogation would be relatively straightforward, which was a lucky break for what he was used to facing. Often times, those being interrogated were downright rude, and it often required extremely...unorthodox methods to make them talk. Abelard knew that this Missing Ninja had no desire to make Abelard's day hard, and he was relatively certain that cooperation would be absolute. Abelard pulled back the cowl of his cloak, revealing straight brown hair. His hazel eyes shown with passionate ferocity in the light of the ground floor of the towel. He reached forward and pulled both of his sleeves up of his mottled green and gray cloak, revealing small, yet extremely muscular arm. He reached forward with both arms and grabbed Mannox's wrists without much pressure, and did so slowly enough to not cause alarm in the man opposite him. He closed his eyes, and carefully began feeling the beat of the mans pulse in his wrist. He listened intently, and, satisfied with a resting pulse, he began to speak. He spoke in an even tone, which would not frighten or intimidate the man he was questioning. "Mannox, C rank Missing Ninja, formerly of Iwagakure. This will be a verbal questioning. Unless obviously impossible, all answers should be in a 'Yes or no' form" Abelard paused "Do you understand this?" This first question would be one of the most pivotal of the entire interrogation. It would reveal to Abelard whether or not the man's pulse spiked when he told the truth. If it did, this method of lie detection would be fairly innacurate, which would serve to combat Abelard's efforts. If he found that his pulse did not spike, he would ask a few basic questions, and then continue on into more detailed ones. In case he had frightened or confused the man, Abelard spoke once more, reassuringly. "I am feeling your wrist for a pulse. I will be able to tell whether or not you are lying to me by doing so". Abelard looked to Blaize and Hana without moving his head. He spoke to them both. "One of you may wish to watch the man's weapons from the door, in case some ingrate decides himself to be a thief. However, do not bring them in here, in case Mannox has any skill in puppetry or has chakra conductive weapons." Abelard looked back to Mannox "Just a precaution, of course".

Mannox nodded. "Yes. I understand." He was still completely calm and showed no difference in facial features or body language. He mentally sighed a sigh of relief when he heard his weapons would be watched over, but it still didn't make him feel comfortable that he couldn't see them. "I am ready for more questions." He responded. "Feel free to ask them in succession. I have a solid memory and will answer all your questions to the best of my abilities." His pulse remained stable and steady. He had no reason to lie. He just wanted this to end quickly and effectively. He hated being seen as a criminal, he did nothing to deserve it. It was the government that forced him into this, he only wanted to make the Iwagakure government and their wretched facility fall.

Abelard sighed again inwardly with relief that he wouldn't have to go through any annoyances with this one. Cooperation really was a wonderful nicety that Abelard didn't always get to experience. Mannox was right when he said that his pulse was stable, it didn't fluctuate at all as he answered Abelard's first question. He thought he saw a hint of annoyance in Mannox's eyes, though it didn't seem directed at Abelard. There may also have been revenge in his deep eyes, perhaps anger at the country who made him out to be a criminal? Abelard shrugged inwardly, he was deviating far to much from occam's razor, he couldn't speculate too much, lest the truth be muddied. Abelard shook the distracting thoughts out of his mind, and preceded with the interrogation. "Now, I'm going to ask you all of the questions in a string. At the end, if you feel you have any answer to explain, you may do so, but do not interrupt my stream of questions, for the sake of time." Abelard then began. This question, and the ones to follow may seem silly to Mannox, but it was extremely important to establish a strong control with lie detection, asking simple questions to ensure maximum accuracy with the pulse test. So, straightfaced, Abelard asked "Is the table that we are currently sitting at made out of wood?" Abelard paused, allowing the man a few seconds to answer the simple question. It wasn't unlikely if the man suspected the question to be a trick question, with no right or wrong answer. But it wasn't, it was to be taken at face value. Abelard asked his next question, again with his face steeled "Is it true that I asked you to roll up your sleeves and place your arms on this table as we entered the room?" Again, Abelard paused so that the man may answer the question. Finally, Abelard began his next question, beginning to travel onto a more relevant subject. "Your name is Mannox, and you were originally from the Village Hidden in the Rocks, Iwagakure, correct?" Abelard eyes didn't move as he paused. After a few seconds, he began again with his next question. "You traveled from Iwagakure to Kusagakure on foot, correct?" He paused again. It was obvious the direction that his questions we're taking. They were going from basic to more intrinsic, and more relevant to the situation. "When you got here, were you greeted by Blaize Ryuzaki, Hana Kuroda, and Renjiro Senju, along with myself?" Another pause, Abelard's next question was already on his tongue. "Did you come to this village with any purpose that I would consider to be in ill regards to the safety or security of Kusagakure, the Grass Country, or it's denizens?" Abelard paused again. "Are you here as a spy from any organization, country, or as a freelance spy?" Yet another pause as Abelard waited for him to answer the question. "Do you have any intention of compromising Kusagakure information that would benefit other countries in any way?" Abelard waited for an answer before asking his next question. "Do you intend to reside peacefully in the Hidden Grass Village for the duration of your stay?" Abelard stole a quick glance at Hana and Blaize to gauge what they were thinking. Both of them seemed to be interested. Abelard turned back and asked another question "Did you lie to me in any of these questions?" He paused to let Mannox answer the double blind control question. If he lied to him now, Abelard would retrace his steps. "Are you planning on having dinner alone tonight, or perhaps with Hana and Blaize?" Abelard almost allowed himself a smile, but to do so would be counter intuitive. He needed to stay steeled and melancholy. If asked, he would claim that question was necessary. Finally, he was done asking questions and waited to see if Mannox had anything to explain.

((Blaize and Hana, you may post now if you wish))

Mannox looked at Abelard and listened intently to all his questions. His mind raced with the answers and the feelings behind them, but his heart remained stable. His pulse followed. He heard the first question, "Yes." He listened to the second question and replied, "Yes." He awaited the third question. "Yes." The fourth came upon him, "Yes." He heard the fifth question and shook his head. "No." Again, the sixth question made him shake his head. "No." the seventh question made him shake his head again. "No." Mannox nodded at the eighth question. "Yes, if it's ok." He listened to the ninth question and replied, "No." The tenth question confused him a bit. "If they wish." He could not answer yes or no to such a question because he could not make them dine with him.

Abelard listened carefuly to each of Mannox's answers. At the same time, he not only consciously monitored the Nukenin's pulse, but also thought about how each answer was given, based on inflection, timbre, and tone. It wasn't a difficult task, gathering the true meaning behind the simple answers to his question. Abelard hardly blinked through the proceedings, his attention was so clearly focused on the task at hand. After all the questions were answered, Abelard began to speak in a very simple tone. "All of your answers check out. Your Pulse remained entirely constant, though it did jump a small amount on that last question, though I suspect that's just because you want very dearly to have dinner with...well, if not both of them, then with Hana at least. It's far too obvious in your eyes." Abelard paused for a moment, considering the two. "You both are free to do as you wish, as long as you haven't gotten any duties to the village that you're neglecting. Consider this a learning experience, and remember expressly to not take any lessons from Renjiro. Mannox, you are hereby declared a lawful temporary resident of Kusagakure. This Visa lasts for 2 weeks, after which time you must seek either myself or the Kusakage to extend it or make it permanent. Your weapons will be held for one day for an inspection, after which time you may pick them up. Consider it an incentive to have a pleasant dinner tonight, and leave the sparring for tomorrow." Abelard turned towards Hana and Blaize "Both of you, act on your best behavior, and do well to show him the sites of our city. If Renjiro should cause you any trouble, do not hesitate to inform me. I would very much enjoy dealing with him at the moment." Abelard stood up from his wooden chair, and pulled his sleeves back down. "For now, you are all free to leave." Without another word, Abelard slipped from the room silently. He was outside in less than a second, and had dissapeared from sight in that same instance. If anyone had looked outside to see him depart, they would see only the trees and grass, as Abelard blended so seamlessly into the environment.

Mannox smiled and stood up. He turned to Hana and hugged her. He looked to Blaize, "I guess we can start looking for those wooden weapon equivalents huh?" He chuckled a bit. "Speaking of dinner, where can we find some?" he looked around. He reached into his pocket and found but a few coin. "Hopefully somewhere cheap. I don't have many coins. It's been awhile since I've been able to enter a city. Usually I just trade with traveling merchants." He walked outside and looked around. The sun was beginning to set. "Is there also any place I could rest?" He asked the other two. "I can sleep anywhere. Even in a tree if need be." He chuckled at his rhyme though he didn't intend to rhyme.

Hana had met Abelard's glare with one of her own. Her face said it all, 'I don't trust you.' Though it didn't matter if she trusted him or not. She did back off with her hands raised in the air. As if to say, 'fine, fine, have it your way.' She moved away to stand by Blaize. She DID have respect for the Jonin.

Hana then followed Abelard into the interrogation room. Once inside Abelard had Mannox go through some procedures. It seemed normal enough though she gasped lightly when she saw the Jonin's body features for the first time without his hood. He was quite handsome. She wondered if he wore that hood to draw less attention from himself. It had worked. Because Hana hadn't noticed his good looks until after he took it off.

Hana was intrigued by how Abelard had handled himself. And also how peacefully Mannox had been as well. She would have been quite bitchy if she were in his position. That she was sure of. Though once they finished with the questions Hana looked at Mannox and nodded. "I would be glad to have dinner with you Mannox. And I would enjoy Blaize's company as well," she said inviting Blaize as well.

Hana blushed a bit as Abelard let everyone know that Mannox wanted to have dinner with her. Though she tried to hide it with a confident smirk. Abelard was headed out the door though he brought up Renjiro and the case if the chunin caused any trouble. Well since Mannox would be unarmed Hana would rather like to spar with the chunin. She was sure she would be beaten. Though she was sure she would get a few good hits in.

Hana then turned back to Mannox and was met with a hug. It was slightly awkward at first but after the slight shock she hugged back. He then pulled out some coins. Did he expect to buy the dinner? Of course not. Hana wouldn't allow for him to pay for her if he didnt have enough coin. Besides he needed it to stay at a motel. "I'll buy tonight. It will be my treat. Though you better not eat like ravenous wolves you two," she said sternly and placed a hand on her hip for good measure.

"It's an old barbeque place at the north side of town. I just found it a few days ago myself. I want to get to try at least one of everything on the menu," she told them giggling slightly. "Also if you don't have much money I would suggest the blue orchid. Which is a small and cheap inn a few blocks away from my apartment. It's cozy and clean. Though the service kind of sucks." Hana would have invited him to stay with her though she still didn't completely trust him. She may have been trusting with men but she wasn't completely stupid when it came to them. Or at least she didn't think she was.

Blaize started to look and observe all of the interrogation tactics. As he observed all he could do was observe and he started to think to himself. “Hmmm, he did not need any special instruments, he just used his knowledge and hands. The Jounin of this village must have been through hard training if he had known all of this. Then again he has not the Kusakage’s assistant for nothing. The questions he is asking first, they seem kind of broad. Could it be he is just warming up to the questions or can they be for another purpose. I guess if one goes into questioning they do not want them to bluntly ask them the questions. I guess you have to sera aide the person first and then let them rise to the question. Still some of the questions was not even subtle, hell they were mainly obvious. I mean if that was me I guess I will be surprise. Maybe questions like that serve a better purpose then the sake of randomness. The questioning did take some time and the questions where not going around in circles. It was like covering a circle of questions but asking pieces at a time. So the Jounin wants to learn as much as he can from him too. Good deal.”

He said as he continued to watch the rest of the interrogations. After the last few series of questions the Jounin spoke to him about a temporary Visa. The visa would allow him to enter and stay for a short amount of time. It must been that he passed his questioning. After a last few words Blaize and Hana was done seeing the questioning and was free to do as they please. Well just the three of them because the Jounin left as quickly as he came. Again he was not able to sense his movements or catch him or anything. The man was quite something. “If this is how he is normal, I wonder how he is in combat.” As he finished thinking Mannox asked f they were a place to stay and something about dinner. The female of the group started to speak and said that she would treat everyone for dinner. That is when they were leaving the building. Blaize started to think about that. I mean it would be a good thing to do just relax and have fun with your friends that you just met.

He was about to say yes until he heard a loud chirp was the sky. He started to look up as there was one of the Kusa messenger birds overhead. It was almost ahead of Blaize. He started to wonder why there was a bird here. Was one of the three summoned or was it just Blaize. Why it would be him though, he just remembered about the last scroll he was supposed to deliver. Based on the time it seems that it is right now it seems that the second rush of deliveries was about to come out. Blaize needed to be there so the scroll came make the second rush. He started to look at them and then bow. “Forgive me but I must be going. My main duty has not been completed and with this side tracking I am going to be late. I have to go now; it was nice meeting the two of you.” He then started to raise his hand up in the air and tried to wave for the bird. He then started to dash towards the direction of the administration office. There was a loud chirp as the bird understood the message and his own mission was completed. The bird then started to flap his wings and made way to the administration building.

Mannox watched Blaize as he left. "Uhh... ok?" He looked to Hana. "Well, in that case I can cover dinner, I'm sure. I noticed all the trees when we came in. Trees are mighty comfy." He smiled. "I'm not fond of beds. Guess I'm just not used to confinement since I've been out of a bed for so long." He shrugged. He began heading towards the restaurant and looked to the sky. The sun was deep into it's set already. "Are they open at night? If so, wanna see some cool tricks along the way?"

Mannox ran for a short time but it was fast. He stopped short and smiled at her. "Years of being outdoors has taught me many tricks." He stretched his shadow to be close to hers, but not touching, and shadow walked behind her. "And my bloodline has taught me many things. I apologize if I scared you again." He smiled.

Hana watched as Blaize began to head off."Aww, I wanted to hang out with you Blaize! Oh well, we'll do it again some time! Bye Blaizey!" she yelled after his form. She watched his back until he was out of sight. He seemed like a nice guy. She enjoyed his company and he had a good head on his shoulders.

Hana then turned back to Mannox when he was gone. She huffed and placed her hands on her hips. "Hey, I will pay for dinner. AND you WILL stay in a motel! I don't care you will stay in one whether you like it or not," she said angrily. She didn't want him to spend money on her when he didn't have much. And she sure as hell didn't want him staying in a tree. "And that's final!"

Hana thought for a moment. "I wouldn't mind seeing something cool. It is open till nine," she told him. "What is it?" she asked curiously.

She gasped a bit as his shadow walked behind her. Though she stared at it in awe. "Oh is this what you meant? Your clan is really something. It's so cool! I really want to meet my father. He's the head of the Sankariki clan."

Mannox blinked. "What's a Sankariki clan member do? I've never heard of them." He frowned slightly as well. "But I like trees. And it would be rude of me to not pay for a lady. Just because I live outdoors doesn't mean I have no manners." He smiled slightly. "Don't worry about my money. I will be asking for side work as soon as I get my weapons back. Perhaps we can do something together? You for whatever reason you genin go on missions, and me for money." He smiled again. "I can do more cool things. But unfortunately I can't show you. They are more for fighting."

Mannox looked to her. "I wouldn't want to scare you by using them on you, or hurt you. That would be very unfortunate." He began walking down the street again and admired the beauty around him. The sun setting against the beautiful flowers. He would be void of sleep regardless of his location tonight. He hasn't slept without his weapons in many years. It didn't make him feel safe.

Hana blushed slightly embarrassed. “I ah, I’ve never met them. I don’t even know any techniques from my clan. I just know my fathers name, and I did a bit of research about him. Knowing that he indeed has a clan and that he is leader. Not to mention that he is very strong. But I’ve heard rumors that the Sankariki can fly among other strengths.”

Hana sighed at his stubbornness. “Fine… if you are comfortable with it I’ll leave it be…” she growled slightly. She was indeed stubborn as well and felt as if she had lost the battle of trying to convince him to stay at an inn. “Why don’t we have a spar tomorrow?” she asked Mannox. Then she smiled at the thought. “Yes, it would be excellent! I really want to spar with you! Please do, please please please!” she asked cutely. “And you don’t have to worry. You won’t hurt me. It will just be a friendly spar. Nothing too serious. You should have your weapons back tomorrow right?”

Though she did want to fight him she was going to set up an early morning spar. If she did it tonight he would have the shadows on his side. And she wouldn’t be able to use her Taijutsu. Limiting her to only her genjutsu. Which of course she couldn’t ONLY use. The morning would have less shadows for the Nara to use and Hana would be able to still use her genjutsu.

Hana watched him curiously. “So… ah, not to pry but… why ARE you a missing ninja? I mean, like, you don’t have any crimes and Abelard seemed to think you were innocent enough to wander the village. Obviously you’re not a bloodthirsty murderer.”
