| For those of you that don't know, this morning/last evening Japan was hit by a 8.9 earthquake on the Northeastern coast. This is the 5th largest earthquake since 1900, and the amount of destruction for the smaller and older towns has been tremendous, since only the newer buildings were built for earthquakes. A few towns have even been "wiped from the face of the planet", as the officials said last night, righ after the disaster.
I just want to send my hopes and prayers(and, yes, I'm agnostic), to Japan and anywhere else that has been devastated by this. I also want to send my best wishes and luck to Zane, and any of our other members in Japan that were affected by the disaster. |

| Dude a female I know was about to go their last night. She is a flight attendant in South Korea. She told me Japan had an earthquake because I didn't catch the news personally but because of it she was devastated. I send my prayer to the Japanese as well. |

| Can't say I specifically know how they feel but in instance of earthquakes I personally know how devastating and terrifying they are. Heart goes out to all that are affected by it.

| To all the Japanese, send my condolences. Also the Chinese, who had suffered an earthquake earlier.
To anyone hit by this catastrophe, I give you my greatest regards. |

Actually Todd, a tsunami can be created if a large enough asteroid is dropped in the middle of the ocean . |

| Okay, there are going to be blackouts on and off throughout Tokyo, and the rest of Japan, to conserve electricity. We may not be able to hear from any of our members in Japan for some time. |

| a little update on Japan. It looks like things are getting worse, a mass amount of dead bodies were found in Miyagi Prefecture. About a Thousand of bodies were found. "The discovery raised the official death toll to about 2,800 but the Miyagi police chief has said that more than 10,000 people are estimated to have died in his province alone, which has a population of 2.3 million. "
And also it seems that a second hydrogen explosion, which could cause even more damage.

| I just watched a video on the event in one of my classes, and I must say I'm impressed on how well the Japanese people are dealing with the situation, from what I saw they had rows of people being transported to other parts of japan and getting shelter. American's on the other hand would've been in shambles, granted in times of catastrophe I guess there's no such thing as overreacting. |

I really don't like the fact that things are getting worse. It looks like another explosion happeded today, which is not good. The local goverment told 140,000 people in a 30 kilometer radius to stay indoors. Although it seems two of the reactors radation has decreased, which is a good sign.

| Yet another update. A 6.0 aftershock had just hit, not sure where. I vaguely heard it. I believe they said about another $5 million in damage, not sure of wounds or deaths, but 3 more nuclear plants, exploded. |

| I keep those people in my thoughts constantly. No country deserves or is prepared for what they are having to go through. I only hope that they can rebound quickly. |
