| Name: Joushi Ryougi Nickname: Ryougi-Sama~ Age: Seventeen Gender: Male
Appearance: Ryougi Joushi. 5'11", 145 lbs, Age seventeen. A raven-haired young man. Thin and unimposing physically, his body is body lean and limber, leading to an abnormal flexibility. Eyes slightly impaired reading-wise, glasses as an aide, though his ability to perceive in combat in unaffected. Eyes are a sharp light green color, inquisitive and constantly gleaming information. A man Pale skin, cause of which low melanin count rather than lack of sunlight despite being native to Kumogakure. No noticeable facial hair, likely genetic loss or keen self-care habits. Face pointed, eyes described as hungry and hunting, similar to a falcon. Voice carries a noticeable amount of pride to it, a mix of dis-care, scorn, and twinge of amusement often present. No scars nor signs of significant injury can be found upon his body, suggesting him to be a non-combatant, a careful fighter, or extremely skilled. Overall he gives off a dignified and confident appearance, standing before enemies without any apparent fear or concern.
His wardrobe typically consists of tight-fitting well-kept clothing. Tunics, kimonos, and Gis of resembling the ninjas of old. He dresses conservatively and dislikes revealing skin. He prefers darker, somber colors not limited but primarily consisting of shades of gray. The exception to this is a sparkling sapphire hanging from a silver chain, normally kept beneath his shirt but worn visibly in public in order to display his wealth. Carries a number of small scrolls on his part, kept within his tunic. He carries with him sewing material in order to repair damaged clothes, the fine material that his outfit consists of both comfortable and expensive. Like most shinobi, he will be armed with various weaponry, most of which are concealed beneath his clothing. His glasses are of a reformed Plexiglas made to endure even in battle, although may be removed if the situation becomes undeniably serious. Personality: Ryougi looks at the sky with a sense of delight, the sky a blue depth that even under blackest of conditions, remains a bright scene. To everything beneath the stretching blue, he loathes with the greatest of hates. A Joushi does not believe in the world. This manifests itself in a number of ways, a belief that the world is not real, that it must be fixed, that it is a dream. Ryougi himself sees the world through a looking-glass others do not- He see's flaws in the matter that makes up the existence of the world. Small things like the flavors of certain foods, the shape of a woman's face, his own shoe size. He thinks it wrong, and the world as a whole as well. A constant vexation, he perpetually informs others of his perceptions, hoping that they too accept his vision word and seek to change this inherit flaw that is so common within the world. Once having found an error or incorrect existence, he is relentless in his trying to fix it. Ryougi is straight forward and blunt when informing people of a minor or major issue with their existence. Despite his family's attempts to teach him moderation, the blood of the Joushi and the teachings of the lies have reached an extreme point that leads him to think of the world in despair.
Nevertheless, Ryougi is a human being whom despite his loathing of the world is a rather energetic individual, though this is partially due to his simple belief of his inherit superiority. Ryougi does not look at others with spite, as some might, but rather sees himself as a teacher whose duty is to impart his sacred advice to the ignorant fools whom blindly accept things as they are. Ryougi enjoys having the company of others, be the pleasure mutual or not. The opposition of others grants him a form of satisfaction, the prospect of being able to banter with others bringing him an an odd joy, relishing the prospect revealing to others their faults, and exceeding where others have not. As such he is extremely competitive, desiring to show his worth over another whenever the chance shows itself. He takes losing extremely badly, suicidal thoughts always a consideration, though he rapidly reverts back to his usual ego-maniacal state, eager to challenge again. Ryougi does not believe in doing things half-way, and considers it a lie to his very existence to back down or retreat.
Ryougi's existence is centered around, naturally, his ego- It supersedes the rest of himself and is, more so the heart or the brain, the center of his existence- His soul, in a way. He defends it all costs, including body and blood to ensure it's reign continues. The stem of his unusual willpower is his ego, fueling a somewhat suicidal wish to best others. In a manner of speaking, Ryougi should not be trusted as much as his ego should be to accomplish the task. However, this can lead him to be tricked and manipulated, pushing him towards impossible or ridiculous goals. However, underestimating a man whom believes the world to be a lie...And seeks to change it...
Is completely understandable, if unwise.
Ryougi has a number of hobbies. He is fond of painting, as it allows him to craft an image that his mind holds and wishes to express. He is, however, regularly known to cheat with genjutsu. Ryougi studied architecture from a young age, a profession of sort that appealed to him if his life as a shinobi lead him astray. He had a fondness for spacial design and geometric patterns, enjoying scheming out unusual if stable designs. While having never shown reading or participating in rites, he has an unusual fondness for speaking poetry, something that confuses the clan, although they approve of it. The young Joushi enjoys philosophy, as most of his clan does. Challenging and arguing the meanings of life is something that serves as practice, a preview to the challenge of changing the world itself. He has dislike of spicy foods, and a fondness of bitter chocolates.

Clan Traits
- Spoiler:
Reality Opposition - Joushi Clan members have an inherit refusal to accept the world as it is, stubbornly believing in the imperfection. Naturally, of course, they believe that they alone are suited to change it. Joushi clan members accomplish this instinctual world shifting urge best via genjutsu, mastering illusion in order to craft the world how they see, causing Joushi members to have genjutsu as a specialty.
Iron Arrogance - Those of the Joushi clan have been taught from the beginning that their people were superior than those of other families, taught to be of a greater existence, their persona to defy those that attempt to demean, sway, or challenge the worth of a Joushi Shinobi. As such, all genjutsu and similarly mind-effecting ninjutsus which involve the weakening of resolve, causing fear, and similarly effecting emotions have noticeably less effect upon a Joushi Clan member. This does not mean they cannot feel such emotions as doubt and fear, but jutsus have far more difficulty influencing their steel-like bigotry.
Joui - The Joushi clan brings it's members up in an environment of deceit and falsity, ploys hidden within even mundane actions, the standing of an individual within life dependent on their ability to craft illusions and persuade others to see things their way. Because of this extreme upbringing, children of the Joushi clan are subject to illusions and are encouraged to defeat others similarly. Thus, Joushi members from an early age train themselves in excelling in the detail of their illusions, causing the difficulty of genjutsus to break via Kai and Pain are increased to the next rank. However, due to their upbringing, their bodies have grown accustom to the chakra of others flowing through them, having been through the illusions of their clansmen for years. Enemies genjutsus are, similarly, one rank higher for Joushi members to release. Furthermore, all Joui Techniques may be used via a voice command as a Genjutsu focus, as long as they are the appropriate rank. This counts as one of the two focuses an Illusionist may have.
Arbiter's Laugh Those of the Joushi clan are unable to help themselves from taunting and looking down upon others, and thus find many an amusement. All Joushi members must have a personal maniacal laugh that is used regularly, reveling in their own ego. Any Joushi member whom does not frequently utilize this laugh will be expelled from the clan, a fate that the Joushi mind cannot comprehend, often leading to a coma if not straight out death.
THE BACKGROUND. History: Ryougi was born into a world he didn't believe in. A place that he was taught to, and agreed with, was wrong. It wasn't a compulsive wish to please, nor an excuse. Joushi believed in the Joushi clan. Born of Joushi Mekura and Ayano, mid-standers in the clan whom lacked much political influence but powerful illusionists whom specialized in denying enemies escape. Ryougi was placed like most of the clan members at the age of five into illusion training. They were taught to learn and distinguish the details of reality and illusion, subjected to trickery and deceit, and encouraged to learn it themselves. Within the closed environment, Ryougi never questioned the usage of illusions as a tool of manipulation, knowing it to be no more different than using words. It was a method, like any other. Ryougi was an average student in the eyes of his teachers, a boy with a greater fondness for crafting techniques, but not necessarily more suited to being a shinobi than any other child of the Joushi. He lacked ambition, a sign of prowess, and thought of as just another sheep within the flock. They saw him as a potential illusion practitioner, nothing more.
And he knew this. He loathed it. This was the spark, the true spark, that began his crusade against "How things were". The decision that he was common, a stone amongst many. His eyes looked at this marking, this premature placing as the average number of many...And he grew angry. Over the next three years he sought to change their minds. He put practice when others would not, and achieved a measure of detail that exceeded what one would expect of his age, being able to distinguish even the illusions of older students. He began to use his chakra in a method that many couldn't understand, illusions simply flowing from his body into existence, as if they were leaking from him. His parents became proud of his unusual talent, and his exceptional ability to look out into the world and gleam knowledge from it. It was as his became a Genin at the age of eleven, that he truly began to make up his own mind about the world. With eyes that saw beyond reality, he began to find flaws with existence. Not merely in others but in the doors he opened, the words he spoke, and the colors he saw. He found fault with at all, and began to criticize whatever he looked upon. Eventurally he grew tired of such imperfection, and on the name of his clan, swore to make the corrections.
He would amend the flaws of the world, understanding all he saw, and then shatter the earth until it was reassembled as he saw fit. It was a silly, dramatic, and impossible act he envisioned, yet he was no more discouraged by others disbelief in it than the fractured world he lived in. It was at this time he sought to learn how to control, to not simply shape but manipulate in a more direct way. It was then that Ryougi would stumble upon the ancient art of puppetry, which utilize bodies made by man to serve the user. The idea of creating your own minion, of an enforcer which he'd force to his every command delighted Ryougi in a way that no form of ninjutsu had. He would beg the old puppet master of kumogakure to teach him his secrets, one of the few times the young Joushi had ever abandoned him pride in order to obtain something. It was at the age of thirteen that he quickly mastered the lessons taught to him by the old master, a natural at controlling the fine and precise movements of a puppet. He found that it was akin to genjutsu in the manner that a form must be finely crafted before being implemented, that chakra must be woven properly and pulled in the right manner to manipulate people.
Ryoushi, the Hunter, was Ryougi's first work. The puppet, with it simplicity, was the first project Ryougi sought out to create, a Puppet whose purpose would never diminish despite it's lack of complex gears and mechanisms. To stalk, and kill. Produced then by a new Genin, it would serve as Ryougi's partner, a dark figure whom accompanied him, betraying it's identity only to do it's master's work. Ryoushi as the oldest of Ryougi's puppets has had the most use, it's wood noticeably faded in comparison, and it's blades dulled by the blood it has swam through. Ryougi based his design on existing puppets, utilizing a humanoid built for two reasons. First, for it ease of being mistaken as human. Second, it's body was the easiest to reproduce, utilizing himself for much of it's design, it's height equal to his own when he was twelve. While it has become inferior in comparison to his current works, it is still his most used Puppet, able to move him with a single string without faltering in it's deadliness.
Ouroboros was a chain developed for usage for the Chunnin exams, a test of prowess that required ingenuity. While Ryoushi was a puppet capable of fighting against foes with surprise, as Ryougi was fighting against foes who knew full well the capabilities of the Puppet Illusionist. In order to deny enemies the belief that they knew all his tricks, he set out to create a new puppet. The notion of utilizing a snakes defeat his foe led him to the creation of a whip-like puppet, allowing him to fight multiple foes at once. The end product was Ouroboros, the snake that ate it's own tail. A pair of twin puppets, much like Ryoushi they did not utilize a number of trickeries, but instead relied on a simple concept of overwhelming a foe. Ouroboros serpent aspect came from an unusual insight- That of an insult. He had heard outsiders often curse the Joushi family, a number of names from foolish idiots. The idea of an “Arrogant Snake” is likely what triggered his creation of Ouroboros, a certain irony of being able to devour foes with the very thing they mocked them for being. Through his wicked creation, he was easily able to come out of the exams named a Chunnin.
Seijin, the Saint, was a puppet developed by Ryougi Shiro to produce a tank-like minion that could act as a bodyguard of sorts, though carrying enough firepower to decimate a foe as well. The concept lead to a Puppet to forsaked the usual wood design and instead utilize metal, despite the limitations it would cause for the puppet to move about. Seijin was not a project Ryougi took lightly- It required immense planning and effort in both it's construction and testing. The energy it took to move about steel limbs while retaining combat effectiveness was of a primal concern to the ninja. As a Chunin he would no longer take minor jobs but more combat oriented and threatening tasks. Saint was not planned as a regular tool but a countermeasure that would employed if necessary, and not a moment sooner. Seijin, unlike his earlier puppets, relied on chakra type, specifically wind. As a Chunin his chakra nature had long become familiar to him, though not experienced with it. As such Seijin was an experiment with chakra types, a device that could harness the element he was untrained with and utilize it accordingly. The artifact which initially sparked this idea was Shirarenge, a blade of his family that had been presented to him upon becoming a chunin. The sword was little more to a trinket initially, however when looking upon his families history he discovered a connection between the wind and his past- A sword that sensitive to the ripples of wind-attuned chakra. The rest of the puppet was centered around this design. The armor, to ensure the puppet could withstand great strife. The color, to symbolize it's purity. And the blade to take down his foes.
His puppet became his weapons, his lieutenants, and his enforcers. Now, as a powerful Shinobi, he has turned his attention to Konohagakure, a village whose reputation is well-known to the entire world. Joushi Ryougi sees potential to challenge the world by bringing down the world's great hidden village. Certainly, its a start for someone as abnormally-minded as Ryougi, no?
Role-Play Sample:
"The world is made of lies Broken stones and crumbling minds I have survived tormenting hypocrisy Truth sought relentlessly Taint carried endlessly Never free, corrupted by hope from that shallow sky Therefore, there is no meaning to this life ...Perhaps this world is nothing but a lie itself..." Did you ever think to yourself, the world is wrong? Not for the big reasons, like wars, violence, or that someone else was rich and you were not. No, but rather, for the simpler more fundamental reasons. The grass beneath your feet too cold, the taste of onions inhumane, the color magenta not supposed to exist, the way people could live without a brain cell in their pathetic without a lightning bolt smiting them for their idiotic habits.
Of course not. Whom would bother to think such little things while riding on the great expanse of life, save, of course, the Joushi.
The questioning arched an eyebrow as he stared at the garden of the clan's facility. Vibrant flowers of many colors, organized in strange patterns that of red, yellows, greens, contrasting the blue sky which stretched before him. One could think of the world when looking at a natural site like this as a painting, a work of art that was painted with the shades of existence. "Pointless." Spoke the young man, tossing seeds he had gathered into the air. The Joushi strode away from the foolish scene, the captivating beauty that most would admire. It was wrong. Simply wrong to trust in the world's veil of earthly appearance. He snapped his fingers, the garden dissipating as he denied it's existence. Flowers would visibly rot, stalks turning gray and petals falling away. It became a place of decay that would no longer be admired, but instead show truth. That everything will die. Including this world.
Joushi Ryougi's emerald-like eyes flickered to the side, gazing down the hall. Suspicion over came hims, an eyebrow rising. "...Oy, oy." He called, scratching the back of his head. "Don't just sneak up on someone like that." Several high giggles arose, the sound of footsteps falling away as an invisible group fled his voice. "Brats." He murmured, snorting. Kids just couldn't learn. Though, having been able to get that close wasn't bad. A grin formed onto his face. Getting old, was he? If mere children could catch him off-guard... He stretched his arms overhead, a kunai flickering into his hand as he shifted his wrist. He let the arm fall down, pointing the tip of the blade towards the devastated garden. "Sharpen." He commanded, the air swirling about the blade as it appeared to lengthen, a sword forming where the knife had been. He strode towards the garden, taking a breath as he stopped in the middle.
And then he danced. He spun, darted, dived. The blade whistled through the air, cutting through stalk and soil. Faster, and faster, a rite which did not stopped. The blade soared about, a rush of air abruptly flinging the blade faster. It broke through a stone without hesitation, a sheath of air flowing along the blade. Ryougi paused, holding the blade at his waist, a cold inhuman expression upon his face. With a roar he raised the blade, his arms accelerating towards the ground, splitting the earth beneath him in two. And yet, even during this display of power, one could look closely to see...That he did not breath. The real Joushi Ryougi let out a sigh as he sat atop the roof, his hand held out. Barely visible chakra stretched from his fingers towards the false Ryougi, manipulating it according to his will. "Small details will kill you." He murmured, making a mental note to improve the illusion in the future. The genjutsu faded, revealing the white-armored warrior puppet for what it truly was. Seijin stood, a samurai awaiting it's lord's command. "Very well...I'll just have to hope they stop breathing before they notice his lack of it." He smirked, beginning to laugh. "Haha...Ahah...Hah. Haha! Zhaa...Haha. Zhahah! Zhahahahaa!" He pushed himself up, looking towards the azure sky, raising his feet. "Let's begin." A war against the world.

Genjutsu
- Spoiler:
Name: Joui - Yure Rank: D Type: Genjutsu Range: Close Medium: Genjutsu Focus (Vocal) Element: N/A Description: One of the simplest of the Joui illusions, it is a visual technique, cast upon a user's body and surroundings. Yure serves to distort a foe's vision when looking upon the Joushi shinobi, as if their body was not but a mirage, constantly shifting and altering in shape and space. The purpose of this jutsu, of course, is to make one's self more difficult to strike, their movements disguised and distorted, reducing the accuracy of an enemy for save the most precise of eyes. This genjutsu ends prematurely if a blow lands. This illusion is cast upon being performed. Chakra Cost: 3+1
Name: Joui - Kougai Rank: D Type: Genjutsu Range: Close/Mid/Long Medium: Genjutsu Focus (Vocal) Element: N/A Description: The Illusionist will mark their foe, placing upon them a vivid red light which glows from their entire body, regardless of the current time of day. This visual technique's purpose is not to blind, but rather, to prevent an enemy's movements from being hidden, their glowing making them an easier opponent to both track and follow. This technique last's until released. The user's range is based upon their natural sight. As long as a foe can be seen, they may be marked. An enemy marked likely notice it immediately. Chakra Cost: 3+1 Per turn
Name: Joui - Jukei Rank: D Type: Genjutsu Range: Close/Mid/Long Medium: Genjutsu Focus (Vocal) Element: N/A Description: This illusion produces a score (Twenty) of ranged projectiles such as arrows, kunais, or shurikens, which are launched upon a foe. These projectiles are, of course, illusions, and similarly do not physically harm an opponent. However, wounds caused by them while not lasting cause as much pain upon impact as if they were real. Jukei forms the shurikens in front of the user, though they may be launched in any direction. An physical object striking them will cause the projectiles to dissipate, much like a Bushin. Their flight range is according to the user's sight. This illusion may be keyed, prepared as a trap to be initiated later on. They will vanish at the start of the user's next turn. Chakra Cost: 3 (4 if Keyed)
Name: Joui - Tomaru Rank: C Type: Genjutsu Range: Close/Mid Medium: Genjutsu Focus (Vocal) Element: N/A Description: The Joushi denies an opponent the right to move, summoning from the ground beneath an opponent a number of animated chains, covered with painful barbs capable of piercing the skin. These chains will shoot upward, spinning about a foe's body and entangling them while at the same time piercing their body. By physically imprisoning them while at the same time inflicting pain, Tomaru can easily disable a foe. This genjutsu, while quick, may be dodged, as well as broken if the shinobi can normally shatter metal chains. The chains may stretch out five meters from where they initially spring, unable to wrap an opponent beyond this distance. This genjutsu lasts as long as the illusionist is concentrated, making distractions a weakness. The illusion may be keyed, prepared as a trap to be initiated later on. Chakra Cost: 6 (8 if Keyed) +2 per turn
Name: Joui - Zetsubou Rank: C Type: Genjutsu Range: Close-Mid Medium: Genjutsu Focus (Vocal) Element: N/A Description: Zetsubou is a genjutsu may only be cast with the voice as a genjutsu focus, and effects all shinobi whom can comprehend the user. The illusion serves to release a wave of despair, disillusioning a foe of their courage and impairing their resolve. The genjutsu serves as a method for Joushi members to force their opponent's to believe in their inferiority, and varies in effectiveness depending on the willpower of those effected by it. Needless to say, this technique reduces a shinobi's fighting capability and will to fight. Chakra Cost: 7+2
Name: Joui - Futaku Rank: B Type: Genjutsu Range: Close/Mid Medium: Genjutsu Focus (Vocal) Element: N/A Description: A foe is crippled by a sudden pressure, forcing them to fall as if gravity was focused upon them alone. This genjutsu affects a specific target, demanding them to bow to the uer. This genjutsu must be heard to function, having to comprehend they foe to be effected. Unlike Zetsubou, this illusion is not a will-based illusion, but instead one that causes physical weight to crash down upon an enemy's legs. Most enemies will be incapable of great amounts of movement with their lower body, their ability to dodge impeded. Chakra Cost: 12+3
Name: Joui - Shousekai Rank: B-S (Equal to Rank of the User.) Type: Genjutsu Range: See Description Medium: Genjutsu Focus (Vocal) Element: N/A Description: One of the strongest Joui, Shousekai power lay not in it's ability to cripple its foe but in ability to endure. This illusion appears to shatter existence, converting the surroundings into a black nothingness. From there, the Illusionist will freely alter the world to their imagination, creating whatever battlefield they wish. This apparent ability to construct a realm of their own is undeniably intimidating to those whom cannot distinguish it to be an illusion. The user's ability to form the world and change it to their wish varies according their rank. A Konin cannot use this jutsu as their 1 B-rank, due to it's complexity. This jutsu cannot be godmodded with, for example, forcing an enemy to enter the realm within a pit of lava, or similarly auto-hitting. Enemies cannot be trapped in a construct made by this jutsu until the users next turn. i.e, if the user of this technique were to make a metal box form with the user inside, it would not become impassable until the next turn of the user of Shousekai. A physical A character exiting or entering the realm will not be able to distinguish where the world's boundary is without an ability to keenly sense the chakra utilized to form it. This technique has no maintaining cost, as it is a chakra construct made to last.
B-Rank Effect: The illusion cannot be altered once initially set without casting the genjutsu once more. As such, while the illusion has a great amount of freedom, it cannot constantly shift the world, and instead must remain in it's original form when first cast. Area of effect is a 15 Meter radius. Chakra Cost: 12+3
Secrets of the Azure
- Spoiler:
Name: Aoihigi - Kaisan Rank: E Type: Puppetry Range: Close/Mid/Far Element: N/A Description: A basic technique that has no apparent real value to the user- The puppeteer will loosen the parts of their puppet and cause individual limbs and sections of the puppet to break off, effectively collapsing the skeleton of the puppet. The puppet may then be reassembled and connected with Chakra Cost: 1
Name: Aoihigi - Mureiru Rank: E Type: Puppetry Range: Close/Mid/Far Element: N/A Description: A basic technique which enables the puppeteer to reassemble a broken puppet by reattaching the skeletal structure of a puppet. If the puppet is damaged, the repair may only be temporarily, and easily broken off by further blows. If the damage to the structure of the puppet main body is too great, this technique can not hope to mend it. Chakra Cost: 2
Name: Aoihigi - Kagemusha Rank: D Type: Puppetry/Genjutsu Range: Close/Mid/Long Medium: Optical Element: N/A Description: A technique devised to disguise a puppet, it is similar to the henge jutsu in it's ability to mask a puppet's appearance as that of a human being. In addition, the puppet master is able to throw their voice to the puppet, causing it to appear as if the words spoken by the master of being heard from the puppet's mouth. This is done by absorbing the soundwaves and channeling them through the chakra strings into the puppet, enabling a form of ventriloquism. To transform a puppet, the user must be connected to the puppet via chakra strings. If a solid blow is landed upon the puppet, the illusion will collapse. Chakra Cost: 4
Name: Kugutsu no Jutsu • Puppetry Technique Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: N/A Description: This technique allows the user to use a puppet to attack from afar in battle. This is done by using chakra and forming them into strings which are then emitted from the fingers to the puppet. Should the user’s hands become disabled, either through physical injury or chakra impairment, this technique becomes neutralized. Chakra Cost: 5
Name: Soushuuha - Manipulate Advancing Blades Rank: C Type: Puppetry Range: Close (0m - 5m), Mid (5m - 10m) Element: N/A Description: This technique allows the user to hover multiple kunai in the air with their chakra, and direct them to an opponent. Using this technique, the user can unleash a torrent of kunai much more quickly than if each one was thrown individually. By using the Puppet Technique with this jutsu, the user may control discarded or already used weapons. Chakra Cost: 7
Name: Aoihigi - Kokū-Yatsugiri Rank: B Type: Puppetry/Genjutsu Range: Close/Mid Medium: Optical Element: Wind Description: A technique utilizes the steel puppet Seijin's monstrous strength and the wind blade, Shirarenge. The user will place the puppet into a close distance between the puppet and the target, before performing the necessary hand seals. The user's chakra will accumulate in their hands, a substantial amount of chakra being gathered before released in a pulse of energy down the chakra strings into the puppet as Seijin. Shirarenge will surge with light, glowing brightly enough to blind the enemy. The slicing wind around the blade will accelerate in speed and widen in size temporarily, as Seijin will proceed to slide at the enemy from four angles, shredding them into eight different parts, the result of the damage revealed when the light dies away. Chakra Cost: 12
- Quote :
Puppets Name: Ryoushi Rank: D Appearance: Ryoushi is a puppet that resembles a human in it's body build, standing at 5'4”. It's body is thin, built of standard wood with thin limbs and torso. It had a diamond-shaped head, a pair of 45 degree slits resembling eyes on the front. The kanji “Ryoushi” is inscribed upon it's chest, where the sternum of a human would be found. A long black cloak is worn about it, normally masking it's skeletal body. It's hands are comprised of four thin fingers, small jagged blades on the tips of them, utilized for latching onto surfaces. Similar blades cover it's feet. The Puppet's build shows a natural tendency towards blitz-style combat, approaching from unexpected angles and relying on speed more so than brute force.
Body Slots:
- Spoiler:
Slot 1: (*Left Wrist Socket) Name: Katar Rank: D Description: Normally contained within the arm, from the wrist joint Ryoushi may spring forth a long flat blade, similar to a Katar in appearance, though the blade two feet long. Ryoushi's primarily tool, it serves to slit throats, deflect projectiles, and just about anything a person can think of with a typical blade. The blade may be reinserted as easily as it is released.
Slot 2: (*Right Wrist Socket) Name: Katar Rank: D Description: Normally contained within the arm, from the wrist joint Ryoushi may spring forth a long flat blade, similar to a Katar in appearance, though the blade two feet long. Ryoushi's primarily tool, it serves to slit throats, deflect projectiles, and just about anything a person can think of with a typical blade. The blade may be reinserted as easily as it is released.
Slot 3: (*Left Thigh) Name: Smokescreen Rank: E Description: A simple smoke bomb placed within Ryoushi's leg, the gas being released into the air upon the compartment opening, casting a smokescreen to form in proximity to the puppet. The smokescreen serves to mask the location of the Puppet, enabling it to escape an enemy's view and better position itself. The smoke is not poisonous nor harmful. It has one use, before having to be replaced by a new mechanism.
Slot 4: (*) Right Thigh Name: Smokescreen Rank: E Description: A simple smoke bomb placed within Ryoushi's leg, the gas being released into the air upon the compartment opening, casting a smokescreen to form in proximity to the puppet. The smokescreen serves to mask the location of the Puppet, enabling it to escape an enemy's view and better position itself. The smoke is not poisonous nor harmful. It has one use, before having to be replaced by a new mechanism.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Ouroboros Rank: C Appearance: Ouroboros is special in being a pair of puppets, rather than a single entity. Both of them consist of a metal plate worn upon the Puppeteer's hand, a series of chains attached to it. Each chain attached to the gauntlet is comprised of five intermediary chains, about half a meter long. Between them is a metal plate that enables the chains to lengthen or shorten, chakra strings being pulled and released. This enables the individual arm of Ouroboros to be from 2.5 Meters long to about 10 meters in length. At the end of these long chains is a steel snake head, fangs sprouting from the mouth. The Ouroboros heads may be manipulated, opening the mouth and shutting it at fast speeds, enabling the user to latch the heads onto surfaces and opponents. Ouroboros, being a network of individual puppet parts, is not easily manipulated, a certain amount of finesse to use it. Utilizing one of the Ouroboros gauntlets does not require the user to use the second, however. The movement of the entire chain relies on the movement's of the puppeteer's fingers, each section responding to the puppeteer's will, the master charming the snake to move according to the user's designation. Counts as two Puppets for number of allowed purposes, but counts as one for chakra maintaining purposes if both gauntlets are used together.
Slot 1: Ouroboros Gauntlet Slot 2+3: Length-changing chains Slot 4: Snake Head Slot 5: Senbon Launcher
Body Slots: - Spoiler:
Slot 4: Name: Snake-head Rank: C Description: The individual heads located at the end of the chain are the most dangerous aspect of the puppet. The head is as flexible and mobile as the rest of the chain. The heads, like the rest of the chain, is comprised of steel, the two halves welded onto the end of the chain. In reality, despite the complexity of the puppet itself, how it harms a foe is relatively simple- It either bites down upon an enemy's flesh or bludgeons. The rest is up to the Puppet Master to move each of the serpent chains in sync, striking from multiple angles and enveloping a foe in a web of fangs.
Slot 5: Name: Senbon Launcher Rank: D Description: A simple projectile firing device place within the mouth of the snake heads, while the jaw is wide open needles may be released from a high-powered air launcher, which shoot at an opponent with fair accuracy. These needles are sharp, but fragile, easily broken if dangerous. Contains twenty senbons
(Both Gauntlets have the same weaponry)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Seijin Rank: B Appearance: - Spoiler:
A humanoid puppet that resembles an armored warrior, Seijin is build primarily out of steel, an armored Puppet whom stands at 6'7". Seijin is unique in being made out of metal instead of wood. This substitution of the usual materials causes Seijin to lack the normally present levitation ability common amongst puppets, it's weight sacrificing flight for power. Seijin is a puppet that functions much as a modern tank does- It charges forward and takes down anything standing in it's way. Seijin's white armored body is not for a defensive but rather offensive purpose, enabling to shrug-off enemy blows in order to quickly fell a foe. Its body is mostly hollow, and hypothetically possible for a thin individual to be inside of it. Equipped with an oversize blade, Seijin is a white terror that is used solely when there it is little option. Seijin functions of wind-aligned chakra, utilizing air to supplement its blows. In order to harness the Puppet, the user must have Wind chakra as their primary element, or wind as their secondary with a specialization in Ninjutsu.
Body Slots:
- Spoiler:
Slot 1-4: (*Back) Name: Shirarenge Rank: B Element: Wind Description: Shirarenge, the white lotus, would fall under the category of a a Katana, albeit one which would never fit an average human's hand. Six feet long, it would be a normally impractical weapon. However, due to Seijin's inhuman strength, the weight is neligible for it's usage. Shirarenge is what shinobis would dub, "Chakra sensitive", reacting specifically to chakra of a wind-orientation. Upon contact the metal will form jagged saws along it's edge, moving about in a rotation along the blade. These gives it the cutting quality of a rotating chainsaw, enabling it to shred through substances with relative ease. The blade itself is a token of Joushi Ryougi's grandfather, a gift to him shortly after becoming a chunnin, recognizing him to be a man by the Joushi people. Ryougi, lacking the strength to carry the blade, let alone swordsmanship, crafted Seijin with the blade in mind.

| Whoo. I've been busy with getting into college, sorry. Is there any point in continuing this App, or do I have to get a new work? Not sure if the Kumo Chunnin slot is still open. |

| Whew. At the moment I just need to finish up equipment and history. However, I would appreciate it if anyone has time to look over what is already done, specifically general things and Jutsus. |

| Hello, Shiro! From taking a brief look at your application, I've noticed that you've renamed some of the sections within the template. We're quite strict on how the template looks and so I ask that you alter the name back to how it currently appears, I'll list the ones that need renaming to make life easier. • Secondary Title, change to Nickname. • Physical Appearance, change to Appearance. • Catch Phrase, change to Nindō. • Character Specialty, change to Specialities. • Main and Sub Elements, change to Elements. (You are able to list them as Main and Sub if you wish.) • Skill Information, change to THE ARSENAL.
In order to gain the title of Chuunin, I'll have to ask that you increase your Appearance so that it reaches a minimum of two paragraphs, your Personality looks wonderfully long might I add. Please list a second element within the Element section, I noticed you've placed Unknown but we do actually require you to list two elements. For your puppets and it's techniques, I haven't taken a detail look at them all as they require a proper look over which can be done when the application is ready for a full evaluation. |

| I did not rename them- You guys renamed the template sections. This was originally made, if you recall, months and months ago. Shame on you guys for not sticking to the old I really prefer secondary title to nickname honestly. It sounds so much more professional, particularly for people set upon killing each other.
"Alter the name"- Which name? Please elaborate on which name.
Asking for more appearance is a mite bit vexing, as I imagine I'll end up repeating myself some, but very well.
Why must a Shinobi have a second element chosen? Some Shinobi never gain access to a secondary element, and are predisposed to only a single element. |

"Alter the name"- Which name? Please elaborate on which name. You'll have to excuse me on that part, I was never around when the old template was being used and thus was never made familiar with it. By 'alter the name', I meant that you change the names to how we currently accept them, to which I then listed. - Shiro wrote:

Well when applying for Chuunin or any other rank higher than Genin / C - Rank, we expect the quality and amount of work to be higher then that of a Genin application. - Shiro wrote:

The reason I asked for a second element to be listed is because you'll be at a current disadvantage with some sections of the forum and possibly be at a disadvantage within the future, for instance, if you were to have a Summoning and if that summoning were to have an element, you'd only be able to have a summoning that corresponded to your elements. So, if you have one element, you'll be limiting yourself to what techniques said Summoning could have. |

| I then choose to be disadvantaged~ At this point, I don't think I need to pimp myself out much more considering how much I've butt heads just over my clan, heh.
And yes, Chunins should write more than Genins, but there is only so much you can say about someone appearance before you're either repeating the same lines with different words or just fawning over the person's appearance.
At any rate, all you've asked for has been done, and my history is finished. I dare say I'm ready for a full review.
EDIT: Oops. I lied. Have to put in miscellaneous equipment. |

| - Aoihigi - Kagemusha is missing a chakra cost. - Ouroboros' senbon launcher lacks an ammunition count.
Also, could you please clarify exactly how much cutting power Shirarenge has? Literally that of a chainsaw or?....
Other than those points, everything else seems fine.

| Jake, lovely character. I enjoyed this application and as I told you, your personality was probably one of the best that I have read in some time.
There were some grammatical and spelling errors, but other than that; great job.
