Given the nature of this, I'll be using my own custom template.

Also given the complexity of this, I'll be doing a training post to further describe it, probably more than a thousand words long.

Flight Mechanism:
The Mother Ship's flight mechanism consists of 4 total propellers and 4 containers of helium gas
Each Fleet Ship's flight mechanism consists of 4 much smaller propellers and 1 container of helium gas.
Capacity:
The Mother Ship can comfortably hold a total of 30 people, although 10 of those are operators of the ship and 5 are usually backup operators.
Each Fleet ship can comfortably hold 10 people.
Weaponry:
The Mothership contains a total of 6 kunai launchers, with the 2 launchers on either side of the ship containing exploding kunais. There are 100 kunai in the 4 regular launchers, 50 in the two exploding kunai launchers.
Each fleet ship has a kunai launcher in the observation window, holding 100 kunai knives.
Traveling range/speed: Each of the 6 ships, including the mother ship, have no true limit to traveling range, if Ling is aboard one of them (as he can synthesize new fuels and convert the hydrogen in the air into helium for the containers.). However, without ling, their range is limited to 5 days of travel, traveling as fast as the chart shows-

Usain Bolt: 40km/h ~ 11.1m/s @ 100m.
Ninja: 50km/h ~ 13.9m/s @ 100m.
Fleet Ships: 35km/h ~ 9.7m/s @ 100m.
Mother Ship: 25km/h ~ 7.0m/s @ 100m.

. If stationary, the airships can stay in the air for twice as long.

The Mother Ship:
40 meters long and 10 meters wide, spanning 15 meters, up and down.

The Fleet Ships:
20 meters long and 7 meters wide, spanning 9 meters, up and down.

Both ships are made of a combination of metals and woods, as well as various other materials.

Interesting. However it isnt clear by your examples precisely how fast they are. What is there speed in relation to a nin?

Way too fast given how fast Nin travel. I have seen airship they aint going to win records. I would have thought a nin team could travel almost as fast if not as one if not as fast.

That aside i think i couched my question badly. What i meant to say was how would this affect travel times in your view? Please note while i am fine with the concept of flying transports i am not so fine with them reducing travel time

Traveling time is designed to link with mission time. If one is greatly reduced it becomes rather unbalancing. I think airships would be both a fun and interesting way to travel, however given you have 5 enough to transport every team it would unbalancing to approve them if they reduced travel time overly

Well, given the general technology of our very unsophisticated world of Naruto; I think it would be fair to assume that Usain Bolt can travel at a top speed of roughly 40km/h. Considering we are ninja, I believe that a top speed of 50km/h per ninja is safe to assume. And to determine the top speed of one of these beautiful contraptions; I think for the Fleet Ships, a top speed of 35km/h give or take 1 or 2 kilometers will make it accurately fair for them to travel; making it 2/3 the top speed of any human. For the mother ship, I think it would be best represented if it traveled at 25km/h. One half the top speed of that of a ninja. Making it roughly 7m/s. Using my love of physics, I made fair representations of equations.

To convert from km/h > m/s. Divide the km/h by 3.6 to determine m/s. I based what I could estimate as a rough guess for Usain bolt's time for 100m @ 9s. Calculating his meters to be 11.1m/s. Comprende? ;D

The naruto universe wouldn't have elemental helium in it. Helium is named after the sun god Helios because it was first found on spectrograph readings of the sun. Since the naruto universe isn't even to the point of a spectrograph, there is no way they could have discovered helium on earth yet, let alone harnessed it.

I also don't see a driving mechanism for these propellers that the airships have.
