| Training in order to become as strong, powerful and skilled as you can be was always the activity that quite a bit of genin nowadays, especially the ones residing within the walls of Konoha, would pick as one of their favorite activities. There were also usually an entire array of differentiating reasons for this, some would strive to be a well-known and respected shinobi throughout the ninja world; others would seek the approval of a particular person or group of people, a parental figure, family, sibling, mentor or a potential lover for example; there were also the ones seeking to surpass a certain shinobi in their lives, whether it be a friendly rivalry built on a strive for competition of a burning hatred that was developed through a strong desire for vengeance. No matter the case, most, if not all of the youth within Konoha loved to train and do anything in order to make themselves stronger for their very own purpose. Some of these young shinobi however, didn’t exactly realize that there was such a thing as “too much training” and that they were better off taking a break every now and then. This would eventually cause a strain within their physical, mental, and/or emotional heath.
Kumori Harinezumi was one of these numerous individuals that just couldn’t see the damage he was doing to his own well-being. This young shinobi trained day in and day out, striving to develop at the most well established rate that he could pull off. Unfortunately, he was always never satisfied with the progression of his own skill so he would always train harder and harder, causing him stress in more ways than one could even think of. Easily angered, irritable, and downright callous at times, one would always wonder just how he still kept that polite mannerism whenever he would speak and interact with strangers he had recently met, even though he appeared to have this “dark” mean streak when it came to people that he had actually knew. One would at least think that it would work the other way around, but that just wasn’t the way Shadow dealt with his situations. He was indeed quite on the more unique side that you would see on a person.
But now, the days of using up your entire time to train was coming to a temporary half for the day. As per order of his somewhat concerned family, Shadow was currently standing right in front of the entrance to Konoha’s hot springs, staring deeply at the sign right at the edge of the building’s roof. He was currently out of his usual attire of red and white sneakers, long pants, a long sleeve shirt, and fighter gloves; all being dark colored in nature. At this very moment, with his hands held deep within his pockets, Shadow was sporting black sandals in white tabi, a bright red pair of cargo shorts, a white t-shirt, his usual necklace that was given to him by his father, and a pair of sunglasses, not to mention that he was also carrying a black backpack with various items in them. So at this point, it was very evident that even his attire was picked by his family to wear; it’s these kinds of actions that make him grow very isolated from them at time, but he eventually learned to deal with it. But Shadow still couldn’t help but think to himself ‘Why did I even come to a place like this?’ After staring at the sign for a good old fashion twenty minutes or so, Shadow would eventually give off a deep sigh before taking it upon himself to actually walk inside of the building.
With that very same dull expression that never seemed to fail at leaving his face, Shadow kept an eye open as he continued to venture through the area, watching out for anyone he may recognize because he simply wouldn’t be able to live down being caught in a place like this; it was pretty evident to tell that this type of environment didn’t exactly fit the callous shinobi’s criteria limits. From what he could see, there was nothing much but hyper citizens and shinobi alike, though one couldn’t tell without actually knowing them due to the casual outfits everyone would wear to the hot springs.
After a quick conversation and exchange rate of currency, Shadow was soon on his way over to the men’s locker room, noting to himself that he was about to see some incredibly scarring imagery. Already prepared for this however, Shadow tapped the sunglasses on his forehead and let them fall over in front of his eyes in order to darken his vision somewhat, not the complete cure one would look for but sometimes, you just have to work with what you have. After he had made his way over to the men’s locker room, Shadow kept his vision somewhat obscured from all of the other guys as he had made his way over to his assigned locker. The locker that he was assigned was thankfully, somewhat isolated from most of the other visitors today so all he had to do was get dressed, or the complete opposite, get on a towel and find one of the better hot springs. ‘Easy enough, right?' Shadow began thinking that to himself as he found his way to his locker.
A few minutes later, the young shinobi had dressed himself out and was now covered with a towel wrapped around his waist, searching for doors upon doors for the least populated hot springs available. The reason for this was just so Shadow would be able to get into a meditative state while within its environment, which would prove to be quite difficult if there were too many people around him, not to mention just how uncomfortable it would feel to be around a lot of men naked within the same water source. Once he had found the perfect hot spring with no one seemingly in sight, Shadow began to relax his muscles as he stepped in the doorway and closed the door. Taking a deep breath, Shadow stared down at the heated pool of water as he prepared to dip into it. Instead of simply going in slowly, as most would do it, Shadow quickly hopped in the hot springs, immediately feeling the wrath of its heat and closed his eyes, slowly sinking himself down the water as he continued to relax his muscles.
