The winds of night blew through Midara's hair. He was standing in his favorite armor. The boy stood tall as he was waiting for his reports to come in, meanwhile he would look down into the streets to see if there was any activity. They were mainly looking for drunk people, robbers or anything else that can be suspicious. Some days were really bad, and some days were easy and calm. Like this day. Today nothing much was happening. The moon was gone and so were most of the people. The streets were empty and they would easily be able to hear or see anyone coming their way. The rooftops were strong enough so it easily would be able to hold on two on the roofs. It would most certainly be able to hold more people on the roof, but there was never no need for four people on one rooftop, unless they were fighting.

The boy was in deep thought as it was broken by a girl's whispers. It was Ayame. They matched the same uniform, they both served Gurentai with pride and honor. The boys headband was on his forehead as his partner for the night shift was on her left shoulder. It was very common to see these in different places other than the forehead but Midara thinks it most traditional and respectful there. He felt like there was nothing else above Konoha, and that's what it meant to him. The girl then reported her report. Midara then looked towards the girl and started to close in on her face. They were getting extremely close then, the boy drifted off towards the girls ear. 'We'll stay a little longer' He whispered in the girls ear. Then he pulled his head back and started looking off into the streets.

Ayame left the boys side for another quick glance at the area. They needed to be 100% that nothing was here. Then she came once more and confirmed she didn't see anything on her side, but Midara saw something on his side. The boy quickly grabbed the girl wrapping his right hand around the girls hips. Then he pointed something out to the girl. All it was, was a shadow. Who's it was, was unknown. He couldn't even tell how stretched out the shadow was. Seems like they would have to wait until it come out a bit further. He then looked towards Ayame then looked back down at the shadow, to see and wait for it to reveal itself. Whatever it may be.

The boy looked down at the figure to see it was merely a dog. "The vets will get him soon" It was boring knowing that it was a harmless dog. Midara didn't suspect anyone of trying to infiltrate Konoha through a dog. Also, it wouldn't be likely for someone to act perfectly like a dog. This dog looked like a normal dog and acted like a normal dog. It ransacked the garbage trying to get food. The struggle annoyed the boy who watched. He pulled out a packet of saltine crackers that was used for his rations and chipped off a piece, about half of it, using his left arm while his right arm slowly dropped from the girls hip.

Then he threw it over the roof onto the floor. The dog jumped away quickly noticing something falling. As the cracker fell bits of it chipped off but it still was a big piece. The dog slowly approached the cracker with his snout pointing towards it. His but was in the air and his tail was wagging, as he licked up the cracker with his sticky tongue. A smile appeared on the boys face as he watched the dog ate the donation. He didn’t want to feed it to much, and the saltine crackers would make his mouth to dry, so he gave the dog all he should.

Turning his head towards the girl, their faces were close. The boy felt like the girl wanted something from him. The boy was clueless; he didn’t know anything about girls. One of the few things he completely failed at. The boy felt his stomach drop, something new to him. He didn’t want to look weak and uneducated in emotion, so he tried to not show it. His skin started to tingle as goose bumps were scattered around his right arm. “The wind makes me shiver” he said trying to cover it up. The girl had an essence to her, one of a model. She was almost like a innocent model. The wind blew past and the stars were lighting up the night.

It seemed like a perfect moment for the two to talk privately, but Midara hasn’t produced the feeling towards girls yet. He has no much to do that it pretty much just skipped over that. All eh does it deal with Gurentai and train all day. Nothing about a girl has ever came up into his life. He didn’t know about the feeling between a man and a woman. Slowly as he looked towards her, he would build up feelings. Nothing yet though, it was only natural for him to learn this process slowly. Time would be the only judge in this court for the two of them.

He then looked back towards the ground to find the dog gone. ‘Looks clean now’ thought to himself. Then twisting his head back towards the girl that was crouching next to him. “Hungry?” He said with a smile. Then he started to think about it. Then chuckled to himself. “Most of the shops are closed, only the bars are open at night” He said as he rolled his eyes. “I am sure we can get into the springs?”

There was now a problem. The duo could choose whether to chose from the hot springs, or the bar. The problem about the hot springs was that there might be people there, but most likely not due to the fact that it was late at night. Also the problem of being split up might spark a fire or two. There was no unisex section of the hot springs, so if they wanted to go there. Midara would have to go to the girl side, because he would never let Ayame be exposed to any boys, if their were any there. The only other place the two could think of that would be open this late would be a bar. They could ordered something there, but the problem was that their might be a lot of drunks there. When there is alcohol in the world, someone is always getting drunk. Only problem is, there was no place to eat!

The confusing thing was that there was no drunks walking around. Maybe they all stayed home tonight, or maybe they all are going to stay late. It was very confusing for him to try and guess where they were going to go. Then Midara pointed into the streets. "There are no drunks". He said pointing out, maybe the girl next to him didn't realize or she just didn't say anything. The boy favored more into the springs regardless. He liked spending most of his time there, he always loved going there. It was something that always brought his mind off of what he was doing or what he had to do. Every man in their life needs many breaks. Many people worked to hard, then didn't let themselves stop or they didn't pace themselves. This leads to stress and then other more serious problems, Midara doesn't like problems. He doesn't need problems. That is for old people who work to hard.

"We can go to the springs, most people are sleeping now" The boy said as he was trying to scope out the springs from the roof. He shuffled his body to the left, moving away from the girl who happened to be red as a strawberry. The boy didn't notice to much, even though it was so obvious. "I'll sneak into the girls section to talk to you" The boy said as he shrugged his arms. He didn't mind. It probably wouldn't be that hard, he would probably wouldn't even be bothered by anyone because most people wouldn't be working the night shift. His long hair gave him somewhat the appearance of a girl from behind, but in front you could tell he was a boy. Then the boy laughed to the girls statement. There was always old perverts hanging around, but that was mostly during the day time, when they could actually get a good view.

Midara knew that being this close to one of his teammates could lead to something bad. It was a risk he was going to take, hopefully nothing bad comes out of this. Then he stood up, pushing himself to stand on his own two feet. Then putting his hands on his hips as he looked down at the girl. For a sudden second, he felt like he was in slow motion as he felt like he knew what the girl was going to do next. It also felt weird that he had a sudden realization that the girl was so pretty. It was as if something triggered in his body. Then he felt a sudden pain in his eye and head. He picked up his left arm as he held the side of his head and brought his right arm to his right eye, putting pressure on it. He took a step back with his right foot and gritted a little.

"To the springs" he had to force out as his head was hurting from some sort of pain. Something was happening and changing, but he just wanted to ignore it. He was getting ready to pounce on another roof.

Jumping onto another roof top to go to the springs, the pain still ached his head. It felt like a sharp pain that came from the inside of his eye. The tried to forget about it on his way to the other rooftop, then once he landed. It suddenly went away. The pain had covered the boys head was now gone. The boy was more shocked then relief. 'What was that?' The boy thoughts ran miles around his head, as he proceeded to jump to another rooftop close by. It felt like a process of being stronger. Like he was growing stronger, which was weird because he didn't do anything to make himself stronger. At least he didn't know what he did. All he knew was that something happened to his eye and he had to ask his sensei about it soon. Not right now due to the fact that she was most likely sleeping, but the next time he would see her. Hopefully it was nothing bad, hopefully he could ignore the sudden pains, if anymore of those sudden pains would strike again.

The hot springs were still hot at night and it was close by. They already in West Konoha which is where the springs were located so it wouldn't take to long to get there. It was literally three streets away from where they were. This was another good thing for the two, was that they weren't having to go as far as to have a good time. It was good exercise but running a little further isn't going to help out to much. Hopefully no one was there because that would make Midara life to sneak in so much more. The boy jumped from roof top to roof top to get closer, he would make turns and dodged several things in the way. It was fairly simple and he wasn't sprinting or anything so he wouldn't lose all of his energy at all.

Going to the springs might be awkward for the two, just depending on how the two react to things. Midara was growing something for the girl, but he didn't think it was healthy nor professional. He would have to keep an eye out and his inner emotions in, this would be a true test of will power. There were a lot of strong shinobi that have girlfriends and wives, but Midara didn't know how he would end up. He didn't want to put everything on the line just yet. He felt like it might turn out into a bad situation. Some people end up going to the springs in the nude while others wore bathing suits. Midara didn't wear swimming shorts everywhere he went and all he had was his black boxer briefs. Maybe he would have to wear that, or nothing at all.

Midara did a front flip as he jumped off of one of the roof tops. He stood about 45 yards away from the hot springs. "Here" He said as he just looked at it. There was a chimney on top of the building so that the extra steam would come out and safely be released from the building. A lot of springs are normally outdoors with big fences so that people couldn't see through. This one was indoor which means it'd be harder for Midara to sneak into, but there was most likely not to many people working there right now. The boy slowly started to walk to the entrance, with his hands at his sides and he was looking up to the stars. Today was a great day.
