Senju, Akira [Konohagakure Chuunin] Hyougagakurenin

Senju, Akira.

THE INFO.

Name: Senju, Akira
Nickname:
Age: 22 [Twenty Two]
Gender: Male

Appearance:
Akira stands at an even six feet tall and weighs one hundred, seventy-two pounds. As a twenty-two year old male Shinobi, he keeps himself in shape with regular exercise and training. He has an athletically toned physique and maintains through his exercising. Akira's complexion is of a darker nature. While not classified as entirely 'black' like some of the Shinobi native to the Hidden Cloud, Akira is still rather dark compared to the other members of the Senju clan. Akira's hair is dark brown and is fashioned in a short manner. The young adult possess bright green eyes, but aside from these things Akira has no major identifying marks.

In terms of clothing, Akira tends not to wear two main outfits. Both of these consist of the black, knee-length pants and traditional combat sandals of the same color. He also wraps his lower forearms in bandages and then wears fingerless, plated gloves over these. Both outfits also include the traditional Shinobi mesh, chainmail worn underneath his other tops. The outfits begin to differ in regards to his upper attire. Often times, Akira simply wears a long blue and yellow, high-collar jacket over the mesh chainmail. The jacket is made of a light-weight material and allows him to freely move while wearing it. The jacket falls at the middle of his calves. His second choice of top consists of a tight-fitting, long-sleeved, black shirt. Over this, Akira wears the traditional green flak jacket of Konohagakure no Sato. Akira keeps his Shinobi Tools in pouches that are worn at his waist, or in the flak jacket's numerous utility pockets when he does decide to wear it. His headband, which depicts the symbol of the Hidden Leaf, is worn outside of his clothes around his upper, left bicep.

Personality:
Akira's personality and attitude are summed up with relaxed and easy-going. With his career choice comes a natural, but friendly love of fighting and an inherent will to protect those around him. These traits serve as the basis behind his becoming a Shinobi. Akira believes in the rules and training regiment he was trained under during his time as a student of Konohagakure. However, he doesn't believe such rules constitute harshness or unfriendliness. He makes a point of getting to know those who are assigned with or under him whenever the opportunity presents itself. Having become a Jounin this has gotten rather hard to do as of late but he still makes attempts. He enjoys the company of friends when not on missions or taking care of anything work related. He enjoys going about with close friends but would feel rather comfortable around larger groups in a social setting, though this is not his preference. To say the least of the man's character, Akira is very dependable. He makes it a point to follow through with any promises he makes or tasks that are assigned to him. Thus, he is a very reliable Shinobi and uses whatever means are needed to accomplish his tasks, within reason. Though he has suffered personal loss he still retains a care free air about him. Thus his overall attitude is rather lighthearted, but this is not to say the man is naive. Losing both of his parents to war has taught him much on the subject of grief and hardened his will. He is well aware of the repercussions of his actions both now and from the past.

Such a rather cool exterior is closed over many secret talents. The young man is a gifted tactician. He is always careful to consider each outcome his actions will have on a situation, making sure to account for as many variables as he can imagine. He also takes the enemy or objective's actions into account as well. While it is impossible for one to have an exact knowledge of what one's opponent will do on the battle field, Akira tends to leave room for improvisation in order to counter the enemy's tactics when necessary. This skill can mostly be attributed to his many strokes of luck, combined with his intellect, rather than any non-existent supernatural power. While it may seem like the young man has had all good luck, this is not to say he has not seen his share of unfortunate circumstances. That aside, his experiences have gotten him and his comrades out of several dire situations.

Overall, Akira is a Shinobi of Konohagakure like any other who fights to protect his village and serve the country. The fact that he can keep his head up after such conflicts and bloodshed as well as keep his lighthearted and relaxed manner, is a testament to the man's warm spirit. Yet he still loves a good fight when the opportunity presents itself and is very loyal. Like all human beings, there is no one word that can describe the man's personality. Nor is there one type that he falls under. He angers like any other man, laughs like any other man, and loves like any other man. Still, Akira is a dependable and capable Shinobi who loves testing his battle prowess and would lay his life on the line in order to protect the citizens of his village and those close to him. He is the man to have as a comrade, friend, and peer.

In terms of hobbies, Akira finds exercise to be not only a training method, but a fun and relaxing hobby. As such, the young man enjoys partaking in running, swimming, climbing, and physical conditioning whenever he gets the free-time to do so. Of these activities, Akira finds himself enjoying swimming the most and this is a direct result of his love for water. Akira enjoys water in various ways and forms. From drinking water, to bathing in hot springs or a cold bath, to standing under waterfalls. Water is something to be cherished and marveled over in Akira's opinion. It's beauty is abundant and it is required for all life. Akira loves water so much that one might seem to think he reveres it. Among some of his other likes are foods such as broccoli, chicken, and radishes. Akira enjoys thunder and lightning storms and often cna be found standing out in them, a smile etched across his face the entire time. For the things Akira is fond of there are some things in this world that he despises. For example, the man is not very fond of people who tend to get angry very easily. He finds such people to be wasting their time fueling a hurtful emotion. In terms of other dislikes Akira cannot stand tomatoes, humid afternoons, or sand.

Clan: Senju :: Pending acceptance

Nindō:
It goes without saying that as a Shinobi of Konoha, Akira believes in the Will of Fire. However, his personal nindō centers more around his lifestyle and his outlook on life. Akira views anger, hatred, and envy as very negative emotions. With his care-free attitude, combined with his loathing of such emotions and those that let said emotions run rampant in their lives, Akira's motto tends to follow along the lines of "Let things roll of your back." Having a calm approach toward things and not letting others' words get under your skin is something any Shinobi should be capable of at all times, in the man's own opinion and thus this reflects in his nindō.

In an ideal combat situation, Akira would utilize his Ninjutsu and Taijutsu to gain the advantage. Akira tends to not to attack an opponent head on at first and would try and lure them into a trap if given the opportunity. He may attempt this using some of his various Ninjutsu or with with a grapple/submission hold, though the later would have to be carefully executed. He may use any long-range Ninjutsu that are at his disposal, in attempt to damage the opponent. Failing that, he may then utilize the long-range Ninjutsu to lure the opponent in closer where he would then resort to mid and close range Ninjutsu and Taijutsu. Akira is an advocate of his own grappling and submission Taijutsu and thus would try to draw the opponent close in order to utilize them.

THE BACKGROUND.

History:

Birth and Childhood

Senju, Takeshi and Senju, Natsumi were blessed to have given birth to a son. Their lives had centered entirely around their careers as Senju ninja and their duty of helping establish the Hidden Leaf prior to the birth of their boy. The birth of Akira came three years after several of the various Shinobi clans had banded together to form the first Shinobi Villages, Konoha being the first. This particular family of the Senju clan saw their son as a blessing that helped to raise their spirits during such difficult, yet exciting time. As numerous clans within Hi no Kuni began to build and shape the foundation of Konoha, the family focused primarily on their duty to the upcoming village and their son for several years to come. As the Senju was one of the founding clans of Konohagakure, every member held a very important responsibility in regards to the flagship of the One Village System. Akira was born just as Konoha's construction was peaking and as such he spent most of his life growing up within the walls of the Hidden Leaf. He had only spent a few months as an infant in the clan's previous residence outside of the village. Thus, the boy would forever be tied to the Hidden Leaf and would grow to experience much of the change that the village itself experienced. As Akira turned three years old, the main structures of the village were fully operating and Konoha had begun to interact with vilalges outside of Hi no Kuni. Thus, Akira's father was absent more so than usual and Natsumi was left to care for the young boy. Takeshi was one of many ambassadors for the village and traveled to Kumogakure no Sato and Sunagakure no Sato on a regular basis during this crucial times. He along with many other Senju and other clans, helped to establish trade with these new villages as well, thus helping the economy of the Hidden Leaf to grow exponentially.

Over the next four years, the cordial trading for goods between these villages had continued. Konoha profited from such connections and in turn, so did it's citizens. Being a village of Shinobi, production and stockpiling of weapons and other military goods was a top priority from the start. Tensions were beginning to manifest between Konoha and the other villages but most of this was kept under the table and would remain so for many years in fear of inciting war. During this time, Akira prepared to enter into the Shinobi Academy. This was a relatively new concept and education structure that the Shodaime Hokage had set up as a means of universally training young, up and coming Shinobi in the most basic of ninja arts. Rarely seeing his father saddened Akira at such a young age, but the Academy would bring many joys into the boy's heart. New friends would be abundant and he would begin down the path of a Shinobi, following in the footsteps of his father and mother. These aspirations mixed with his eagerness to attend his classes but his thoughts of his father in the back of his mind. For a time, the boy was content with the way things were moving forward. His days in the academy were very fruitful. Though he was still young and tended to get distracted every now and then like most children, Akira nonetheless excelled in his studies and demonstrations. During his second year attending the Academy, Takeshi returned for an extended time. Eager to catch up with his only son, Takeshi began to instruct Akira about his chakra nature and how to master utilizing it. As a member of the Senju clan, Akira had a natural affinity for the Suiton and Doton natures. This would eventually mature into a full-fledged Kekkei Genkai that would allow the boy to utilize the Senju's Mokuton chakra. However, during his academy years Akira came to realize that he had a preference for the Suiton chakra nature, as these instructions were much easier for him. Thus, the remaining time spent with his father would not only be filled with fun and excitement, but he would gain much knowledge and benefit from these times as a young Shinobi. By the time he had reached his fourth year in the academy, Akira had become rather proficient with his water-natured chakra affinity and had successfully performed a Suiton-based Ninjutsu at the behest of his father.

Though the initial return of his father brought Akira much joy, it was inevitable that Takeshi would have to leave again. Political strife was an underlying theme across the nation during these years and each country was grabbing at more power. Thus, the respective Shinobi Villages of the Five Great Nations were caught between continuing to build up their economy, military, and physical structures while also retain their country's political position. Many battles were fought over the extension of territory, especially over countries like Rain and Sound. Konoha was relentless in trying to obtain such territory but was met with resistance from both Kumo and Iwa on more than on occasion. Thus, Takeshi was called away to help in such matters as a Shinobi of Konohagakure no Sato. Such small skirmishes would continue for a number of years and thus Takeshi would be called away from the home for months at a time over the passing years. During this time, Akira had completed his time at the academy over the period of five years. His graduation ceremony was a huge celebration for the 12 year old boy and that evening was spent with his peers. His father and mother had both been able to be present for his graduation and they expressed their pride in his accomplishments. Many tears of joy were shed for the entire class when the instructors handed each of the students their headbands which depicted the symbol of the Hidden Leaf Village of Hi no Kuni. The following day saw Takeshi, Natsumi, and Akira all together for the entirety of the day. Now their particular family was made up entirely of Shinobi dedicated to the Will of Fire and the protection of Konohagakure. Akira took much pride in his own accomplishment. Becoming a Genin was his first major success in his path of the Shinobi, but he was far from done. A few days before his father was to leave again, Akira asked his father to begin instructing him on mastering his Doton chakra nature. Akira was well aware that he possessed the second affinity and he was well aware of the dormant Kekkei Genkai that lay within him as well. He had witnessed his father and mother utilize the Mokuton first hand. Accepting the boy's request, Takeshi helped Akira begin. However, unlike his first lessons, his father refused to walk him through this all the way. Instead, Akira was left to do most of the training on his own. This process would take several years to complete and all the while he would still need to continue furthering his proficiency with the Suiton as well.

Genin: A Novice

Armed with several training regiments and goals, Akira began his duties as a Genin when he was assigned to a team within the week. Under a Jounin supervisor, Akira would begin to undertake various missions. The rest of the team, dubbed 'Team 4', consisted of two females from his graduating class: Chisaka and Hanagi. Both girls were the same age as Akira, and were very talkative. Though Akira had known them from his classes, he had not had the pleasure of talking to them very much prior to working together. Yet, Akira would come to befriend his teammates and even his sensei over the course of their time together. This three man team, under the tutelage of the rather well-known Jounin, met every mission and challenge head on. Akira and his new companions took on various missions over the course of the next two years. Challenges met them at every turn, but they succeeded more often than not. A specific mission of great importance was assigned to the Jounin leader. Despite the mission being classified as a C rank escort mission (which involved making sure a political figure of Hi no Kuni made it across the border into Kaze no Kuni safely) the Jounin saw fit to bring his Genin along. In his eyes, the mission was not dangerous enough to be life threatening, but nor was it the same mundane E and D rank missions his team had been so accustomed to. The three day mission proved to be a grueling test of wit and endurance for the team. Traveling was the most grueling of tests from the get go, as none of the Genin had been outside of the Hidden Lead borders prior to that point. Thus, tensions mounted amongst the team and between the young Shinobi and the politician as well. There were multiple occasions where Chisaka would lose her cool and Akira would always be the one to bring her back around.

Their frustration did not end with such trivial things and the team would have bigger problems to deal with. Upon reaching the border of Hi no Kuni and Kaze no Kuni, the politician was attacked by rogue ninja. This sort of danger was not something that Akira nor his comrades had been ready for. Yet, their Jounin sensei pushed them to gather their wits and perform like true Shinobi of Konohagakure. This proved to be Akira's first real combat scenario and he came out alive, though not unscathed. In an attempt to protect the politician from a Ninjutsu utilized by the enemy, Akira took the force of the blow and was thrown several yards away. While none of the Genin in the team had suffered fatal injuries, Akira was badly bruised, both physically and mentally. Despite this, the rogues were eradicated by the Konoha Jounin. Akira was able to continue moving, while Chisaka and Hanagi were merely tired and beat around. Their sensei told them that they owed their lives to their own devotion, training, and guts. Yet, given their state of being this was hard to realize. However, by the time the politician had reached his destination, the Genin began to feel much better about themselves. Upon completing the mission and returning home, the Hokage praised the team, saying that each of them would make fine Shinobi one day. Their return home brought much reflection upon the team and they began to thoroughly contemplate the words of the Jounin sensei. Perhaps their training up to that point really did have a hand in their coming out alive. Perhaps luck was not able to take all the credit.

When not assigned to missions, Akira and the rest of Team 4 squad spent their time training, both as a unit and separately. It could be said that the Will of Fire spurred them on, as it had begun to kindle inside each of them. Over these years, Akira continued to train his Suiton and Doton chakra natures. He had become much more proficient with the Suiton jutsu and was finally able to utilize a few Doton jutsu as well, though they were still difficult for him to utilize. However, the process of creating and utilizing the Earth-natured chakra was more or less learned and though he did not know it at the time, this would come to benefit the young Senju in due time. With all of the training that Team 4 was undergoing, their sensei felt that they were coming along splendidly. Thus, when it came time for Konohagakure to hold its Chuunin Exams, Akira and his companions felt more than ready. Now 14, Akira had seen numerous missions and had gained beneficial experience, along with the rest of Team 4. It was their sensei's hope that suck experience would help them to overcome the exams. Throughout the exams, Akira's resolve was tested and yet he and the rest of Team 4 persevered. Passing the first exams within the Forest of Death was a trial in and of itself, but overall this portion of the exam taught him to pay more attention to his surroundings and work harder with his comrades. The final exam, which pitted Genin against one another in combat, saw Akira defeated. His opponent bested him in a conflict that lasted nearly half an hour. Although Seiji, put up a spectacular fight he was not victorious. Despite this loss, his skills did not go unnoticed. In fact it was the awakening of his Kekkei Genkai that caused the Proctor to pass him. Though the awakening of his Mokuton Kekkei Genkai was a great feat, all Akira ended up producing was a few roots that sprang from the ground and were ultimately useless to him in the fight. Nonetheless, when the Proctor read the names of those Genin that had passed the exams, the young member of the Senju was among them. Thus did the young Shinobi reach his promotion to Chuunin, acquire his villages flak vest, and begin to undertake more difficult missions. He felt important and yet he realized a lot of responsibility was being placed on him. On top of this was the awakening of his previously dormant Kekkei Genkai. Akira had much work ahead of him but his excitement and joy about passing the exams caused him to feel as if he could tackle any obstacle.

The Tales of a Chuunin and Current Events

Over the next few years, the understanding of his responsibilities would continue to bloom as Akira became more and more aware of what being a Konoha Shinobi truly meant. As he turned 16, Akira's missions began to increase in both difficulty and frequency. The young man had been a Chuunin for nearly two years at this point and he had already experience many things. During this time, Akira took up missions regularly with his friends from the former Team 4 as well as other Shinobi throughout the village. He continued his training of his Doton and Suiton chakra affinities but also began to hone his Mokuton chakra as well. By this time he was able to utilize low-level, Wood Style Ninjutsu and had gained much ground from when he first awakend his Kekkei Genkai. Such training continued for the next two years as the boy reached his 18th birthday. Yet his training would not stop here. His mother and father, along with the other members of the Senju had instilled in him the wisdom of eternal training. It was not something he could one day neglect. It would take years and years of practice to maintain his current strength, not to mention advance beyond it. This was something that Akira would always keep in the back of his mind and never forget for the rest of his days.

Some of his other experiences included a notable point in Konoha's history. Having truly established itself as one of the most powerful of the Five Shinobi Villages, Konoha was not without internal conflict. Several citizens had grown to loathe the current village system and the central leadership that fell under a single leader. Such people were die-hard clansmen who initially thought the formation of the Shinobi Village system was an mistake to begin with. However, their patience had worn thin over the years and conflict began to stir. A sizable portion of this group denounced the Hidden Leaf and decided to go rogue, under the idea that they would function as true Shinobi if they returned to the previous ways. Others incited riots within the village. This led to a brief civil conflict within the village. Akira himself was caught up in it, fighting for the Hidden Leaf and the Will of Fire. Though it was difficult to fight people that he had seen on an everyday basis, ultimately he knew that his decision was the right one. Protecting the structure of Konoha and the Shodaime Hokage's ideals was of utmost importance. Such conflicts did not last long, however. The Shodaime ordered the execution of the inciters, thus ending the chaos that they had started. This decision was one of the most controversial of all the decisions the first Hokage had made and many citizens felt uneasy after the act. The following creation of the hunting and assassination group known as the ANBU, served to further some of the citizen's uneasiness. The ANBU had been formed to hunt down and eliminate those Shinobi that had denounced the village, as the Shodaime declared that any information they had might be passed onto opposing villages, thus endangering the Hidden Leaf. Akira wholeheartedly agreed with the Hokage and while he did find it difficult to get past fighting former comrades and watching them be executed, he would soon come to terms with what had happened.

However, a majority of other citizens did were not so quick to follow the Shodaime. A political group known as the Council of Konohagakure no Sato, made up of several clan elders, was formed and began to question the Hokage's authority. A clash for the seat of power came about and Akira was taken aback by the outrages of some of the villagers. It was as if they did not trust the Hokage. Could they not see that his decision had been in the best interest of protecting Konoha and it's people? Ultimately, the Shinobi Military trusted the Shodaime more than the elders and thus the Council was reformed as a group of advisers under the Hokage, at the behest of the citizens. Though tensions remained for some time to come, all parties were content for the time being. Akira, having seen Konoha struggle through that year, felt that the village had conquered a great obstacle and had overcome much. He looked up to the Hokage and his faith in the Will of Fire burned ever brighter. As he grew out of his teenage years and reached his 20th birthday, Akira continued to take upon himself mission after mission. Seeking to prove his worth as a Chuunin of Konoha, he devoted most of his time to training and his missions, as well as various duties around the village. For the next year Akira would rarely return home to do much more than sleep. The young man would be gone for days at a time, often on C and B rank missions as assigned to him by the Shodaime Hokage. The Senju clan member liked to believe that the old man had come to recognize his efforts and mentally told himself that the high frequency of missions was the older man's way of recognizing Akira's contributions. This was more to keep his own spirits up about his work and the young man did not let such things go to his head. Being a laid-back individual did not necessarily mean that such a person was lazy. Akira had certainly proved that with his dedication and hard-work. Retaining his calm and relaxed attitude was merely natural to the young man. Though this would be tested shortly enough.

Over the course of the past decade, Konoha had established itself as one of the most powerful of the Five Great Shinobi Villages, alongside Kumogakure no Sato. With the Hidden Cloud being the strong competitor of the Hidden Leaf, an expected rivalry began to grow between the two nations and tensions began to mount. Though no conflict had broke out between the two villages, the tension remained high for two years. Konoha's reputation and achievements did not go unnoticed by the rest of the world either. This was especially true of smaller Shinobi villages such as Otakgaure and Yukigakure. The political strife between the Hidden Leaf and these villages had grown to astounding levels, as the economy of the two smaller villages began to dwindle thanks to the success of the Hidden Leaf. This lead to conflict and the two villages, along with a large number of rogue ninja assaulted Konoha. A great battle ensued and the opposing forces proved rather difficult to overcome, much to the surprise of nearly every Hidden Leaf Shinobi. Akira, now 22 years old, took part in the battle along with Takeshi and Natsumi Senju as well. The Shinobi of the Hidden Sound and Hidden Snow were relentless. They murdered average citzens and toppled the majestic buildings of the Hidden Leaf. Not usually one to be angered, Akira could not help but to feel such emotions. He unleashed his rage in combat, taking the lives of two enemy Shinobi. For the first time in his life, he had soiled his hands with the blood of enemies. Yet this did not phase him. He knew that this was his job. This was his duty as a Konoha-nin. This is what he had spent the majority of his life training and preparing for. However, the 22 year-old young man was not prepared for what came next.

During the fighting both sides suffered many casualties, but ultimately, Konoha was victorious. The Hidden Leaf Shinobi drove the enemy out of Hi no Kuni and then began the grueling task of tending to their dead. With much chaos and confusion still running rampant as the village sought to begin immediate clean up, Akira felt that the adrenaline had not left him. Things still felt hectic. The events around him still played out much like a fast-paced battle. Thus, when he first saw the unmoving bodies of his mother and father, the young Senju clansman was not phased. It would take an entire day before the young man wept for his parents. It would take two days before the Senju Clan would hold their funeral in the privacy of the clan residence sector. Takeshi and Natsumi Senju had served the Hidden Leaf to the best of their abilities. They gave their lives to protect the Will of Fire and although Akira realized this, he felt that things were crashing down around him. There had been a large amount of casualties, many important buildings and structures had been laid to waste, and the Shodaime Hokage was on his deathbed. Things looked bleak in the young man's eyes as he helped lower his parents into their graves. Over the course of the next few days, the reconstruction of the village would take priority over everything else. In order to occupy his thoughts, Akira participated in any way that he was able. Being somewhat proficient with the Mokuton, he helped to create a few new structures and rebuild damaged ones. However, most of his help came in the form of manual labor. All the while, negative thoughts of his parents and of the Shodaime attempted to creep into his mind. He kept these at bay during the day, but at night the young man could not help himself and thus he wept for 2 nights. Though things did look bleak, Akira's spirits would rise when the Shodaime would pass on the title of Hokage just before his death. The young man had mixed feelings during the funeral ceremony. He wept for the Shodaime Hokage with the rest of the Hidden Leaf, yet the presence of the Nidaime Hokage brought him and others, much hope.

As the days continue to begin and end, Akira is slowly coming to terms with his parent's death. From time to time he will visit their grave, as well as the grave sight of the Shodaime Hokage. He has not taken a mission since the war and has instead devoted his time to helping with the rebuilding of the village. Perhaps this is part of the reasoning behind the young man's current restlessness. Thus, he has been contemplating requesting missions once again but still feels that he will continue to aid in the rebuilding efforts. In order to honor the memory of his parents and the Shodaime, as well as keep the Will of Fire alive, Senju, Akira feels that this is the least he can do.

Roleplay Sample:

Jogging through the outskirts of the village brought the young man an unusual, but certainly welcome sense of peace. One would think that the sweat mixed with the elevated heart rate and heavy breathing would be the last thing to bring peace and comfort to any one person. Yet, this was not the case with Senju, Akira. Exercise was not only part of his training, but it was a hobby and thus it was a stress reliever for the young man. The night sky was dotted with the faint light of stars, accompanied by the waning moon. Its silver light, interrupted by various trees that dotted the area, bathed the ground. Sleep was eluding the young man and so he had decided that a brisk jog would help to clear his mind. Akira refused to utilize his chakra to aid him. This would be an entirely natural run and in the end that would reward his body. Coming to the base of the Hokage Mountain he decided break into a hard run up the path. With the passing of five minutes he had made it to the fourth cliff-landing and decided to walk around. The immediate area was akin to a small plateau. It was a secluded area and here he could release his thoughts into the night sky, emptying his head of anything that might be keeping him from resting. Thus did he begin to walk toward the other end of the area where another path would great him and take him to the top if he so chose.

Akira had come out here simply to let his thoughts loose in the hopes of getting to sleep easier. He had stepped out in nothing but a fitted t-shirt and his knee length pants that he wore for his Shinobi duties. He had brought no tools with him, no gear at all. His short, dark hair barely moved in the mild breeze, yet he could feel it rustling. His green eyes darted back and forth in a calm syncopation, taking in the sky above him. His bare feet touched the hardened earth below him with each step that he took toward the other end of the immediate area. There had been much that had kept him from sleep this night, though he was not sure which of these things felt more pressing. Perhaps thoughts of the late Shodaime were keeping him awake, and thus his eyes looked up at the carved face of the man. Perhaps even more prominent in his mind were thoughts of his deceased parents. He had visited their grave early that morning, leaving them flowers and incense as a memorial gift. Despite having much to keep him busy, these thoughts had been slowly growing inside him as the night had taken over. Akira had not had a peaceful nights rest in what felt like ages and he was not quite sure what to do with himself. As his feet carried him closer to the cliff side, a sigh left his chest. It won't do me any good brooding over any of this, he told himself. His conscious tried to reason with him in this manner but he was not entirely sure it had worked this time. Yet there was something beginning to poke its way through the thoughts, at the back of his mind. A quiet voice at first, barely a whisper.

"Things will be alright."

His chest began to feel lighter as this voice grew in volume before it eventually took the place at the front of his thoughts. The mantra brought many thoughts to his mind and he began to realize that he had no reason to continue mourning their deaths. In order to bring honor not only to his parents, but his clan, the Shodaime, and the Hidden Lead, Akira would need to press on and protect the Will of Fire which he had inherited from his parents. It was the only thing he could do, worrying over it now would do him nor his comrades any good. The voice grew louder in his head until the young Senju clansmen realized that he himself had spoken it this last time. His feet had stopped and before him stood the cliff, towering into the sky. From this angle it seemed to reach the heavens, though he knew this to be an optical illusion resulting from his angle of view and the dim light. Still, it felt good to imagine that it would take him there if he climbed; that somewhere above him his family was watching him and so too were the deceased citizens who had lost their lives to the war. He stood staring upward for a moment more before suddenly coming out of his mental fog. Aware that it was late and that he was going to be getting up early tomorrow he cursed at himself, "Damn it, I need to sleep." His casual voice was directed to no one but himself and so as he spoke, he turned around and took the path back to the cliff, heading to the village and his apartment.

FACE CLAIM.

Soushuriken no Jutsu • Manipulate Shuriken Technique || This is a Puppetry technique which is considered a more specialized specialty that a Chunin is incapable of possessing, along with Medical and Fuinjutsu. Please remove.

Although I'm still sulky about your rank, the whole app looks awesome.

The only thing that I would like you to add, is that your gourd will slowly you down considerably.

Once you've done that, it's an APPROVED 1/2 from me

If you would like, I can forward you the PM I sent to &hearts B explaining my reasoning for asking for said starting rank (which entirely to do with roleplaying characters in a certain age group, rather than any 'power-hungry' reason), in the hopes that the PM would make you feel better about this app? Just a thought.

I have decided to remove the gourd entirely and replaced it with the ear piece mic.

Thank you
