The Hyuuga Clan has received a design rework to promote clarity. The Byakugan remains unchanged, but the Gentle Fist Style and subsequent techniques have been re-balanced. Hyuuga users will now need to reach striking distance (0m) in order to close tenketsu. The Kaiten's range has come down considerably and receives minimal buffs from Clan Prodigy special characteristic. However, this has allowed us to make the Eight Trigram Palms easier to land once in striking distance.

Gentle Fist - Previously the Gentle Fist allowed the user to take away 3 CP per strike. By performing Eight Trigrams 32 Palms, one could take away 96 chakra, which results in a kill via chakra exhaustion for most lower ranked players. This stacked with the 64 and 128 variants, granting possible chakra loss as high as 384 points. This has been changed to 1CP per strike. Draining very high amounts of chakra now takes several successive strikes over time, which grants counter-play.

Eight Trigrams Palms - The range on 32, 64, 128 Palm techniques was incorrectly labeled. For clarity, this has been reduced to 'Striking Distance (0m)' so players without close range skills aren't burdened by simply being within 5m. Conversely, once the Hyuuga is in Striking Distance, they have an easier time performing the successive hits by making attacks that strike more than a single tenketsu. This mimics the fast strikes made in the show, but also makes them easier to role-play. Now that Gentle Fist Style properly interacts with the Eight Trigram Palms, removing chakra affects the opponent as it should - by sealing off chakra, not simply increasing costs for a little bit.

Kaiten and Protective Eight Trigrams - The range on these jutsu were extremely far at early levels! A five meter range defensive skill is simply overpowered. These ranges have been reduced and may only be increased by a single meter via Clan Prodigy at A Rank.

Saturday 3, January 2015: The Yamanaka Clan's Seishinetsudoku | Mind Reading jutsu has been temporarily removed and is pending a rebalancing edit. Until the changes are posted, this technique may not be used.

Tuesday 6, January 2015: Several mini-fixes have been implemented across the site:

• The Ninja Kit Guide has been updated. All kits now require a type specification (Custom or basic).
  
• Animal Speaking has been updated.
  
• The Profession Guide has been updated. Be sure to notify us if you currently hold a profession in this thread.
  
• The Jutsu Guide has been updated, including an important update for Suiton users and the removal of the sub-elements. Anyone with a sub-element technique can be refunded the equal amount of AF for any techniques they may lose as a result of this change.
  

Be sure to post requests in the appropriate registry to ensure everything in your application(s) reflects these updates.

Sunday 11, January 2015: A number of Special Characteristics have been revised. The edits are as follows:

• The Advanced Element and Related SCs, thus the Elementalist SC is the only one left in that Special Characteristic Tree.
  
• Pin-Point Accuracy has underwent some minor description changes.
  
• No Seals has been removed. Anyone possessing this SC will be funded an equal A - Rank SC or 45 AF.
  
• Blurred Hand Movement and One-Handed Seals have been re-written into their own separate Special Characteristic Trees. Anyone possessing these SCs will be funded an equal ranking SC or an amount of AF equal to the cost of the SC as stated in the Special Characteristic Guide.
  
• The Speed, Strength, Endurance and Evasiveness Special Characteristic Trees have underwent minor descriptive revisions.

Please remember to apply for your Special Characteristic Updates.

Wednesday 14, January 2015: The Classified Missions and Classified Missions Sign-Up have been updated with a clear note about the enforcement of the 72 hour rule when posting in these missions and minor changes to the Sign-Up Template. Please note that anyone listed in the "Other Members:" section of the template must post within the Sign-Up Thread as well, however due to the sudden onset of this change the sign-up period is extended by one day [u]for those listed in the "Other Members:" section of another member's sign-up post.

Additionally, anyone wishing to withdraw their sign-up as a result of the 72 Hour Rule enforcement may do so at anytime prior to the start of the topic.

Thursday 15, January 2015: With the testing of the new Evaluation System, we'd like to move evaluation for summoning topics and sub-specialty training to the registry. If you complete a topic to acquire a summon, link to the thread in the summon request thread - if you're acquiring a third specialty, please apply for it, with a link to the thread, in the miscellaneous section of the registry. For profession entry missions, please paste your mission link in the thread where you requested the mission.

Friday 6, March 2015: Some minor additions to the evaluations system have been implemented. We now ask that for missions, you include the rank of the mission and link to the the approval thread(s) for them. Additionally, If at least two people wish to have the same topic listed as their preferred, we've clarified that it's fine to say so in the other participants' eval request. Be sure to check the system for more a more detailed explanation.

EDIT: In addition, you now have the freedom to select two preferred topics regardless of their type. For example, you could select two missions or two socials. This should allow for more freedom and an easier time getting the big bucks for those that complete two topics of the same type in the span of one week.

Saturday 21, March 2015: Sensory has seen a very minor revision: "It's not possible to sense without at least a minimal amount of effort, regardless of whether the enhanced or less refined senses are being applied." This does not mean you must be copletely focused on sensing in order to utilize the "passive", less refined level of sensing, only that there must be mention of a character using that level of sensory in order for it to take effect. This is to prevent sensory from being on at all times. As usual, please ensure you update your SCs as necessary to avoid being stuck in an RP situation where your SCs are considered void. The word "inherent" in the description has also been replaced with "basic" for further distinction.

Monday 23, march 2015: Black Ops Stealth now has the following restriction: "While stealth is active, a character can only move at speeds up to the B-Rank SC, as moving faster makes it impossible to maintain silent footfalls". Be sure to have your app updated if you possess this SC.
