| Subject: Tsukuru, Kōton Release Tue 20 Sep 2011, 5:02 am | |
| Clan Name: Tsukuru
Clan Description: The Tsukuru are a clan of expert blacksmiths, their lively hood for several generations now being the creation and distribution of forged items and weaponry. This has been their custom since before there family moved into the shinobi arts, and finding a Tsukuru that doesn’t have at least passing knowledge of weaponry and other forged items is going to be rare.
There are many Tsukuru, there family name spread well through Iwagakure, but the number that belong to the actual clan, and follow their beliefs closely, number no greater then 4 dozen.
The Tsukuru take weaponry seriously, holding close the belief that a well constructed weapon links itself to the soul of its wielder, and will preserve their soul even after death. Because of this, the core Tsukuru clan members all carry a weapon, usually intricately decorated and of fanciful design. These weapons are always Swords, Axes, Hammers, or Spears. This weapon is called their Konken, or soul weapon, even for those that do not practice the ninja arts.
The Tsukuru are of swarthy skin, always looking like they are fresh from the coal caked room of a forge. Their hair and eyes are usually a dark color, but always match. More importantly then that, their hair is almost always kept short, or in a tight hairdo for the women of the clan, since being around a Tsukuru forge with loose hanging hair would be a foolish idea at best.
Body shape and size is fairly varied, though most Tsukuru have a more bulk build than lanky and skinny, due to their line of work.
Clan Abilities
- Spoiler:
Soul Forge Due to the Tsukuru's strong attachment to their blacksmithing, Tsukuru blacksmiths are able to bind souls to weapons, including their own. The ninjutsu for the Tsukuru, the Teitetsukon, is the legendary Soul Forge. Using their learned specialization in the field of weapons and their creation, the Tsukuru have learned to manipulate their Konken weapons, as well as the weapons of other clansmen, if they shall ever fall in battle, or if a fellow clansmen needs more power.
The ninjutsu style, called Teitetsukon, manipulates the soul weaponry or Konken of the Tsukuru family. These weapons, created through a unique chakra intensive process, are linked close to the mind and body of the clan members. They are so unique in fact that each member of the family can call into being a temporary suit of armor based on their Konken, and manipulate the blade to move of the user’s will.
The final abilities of the Tsukuru call upon the soul weapons of long dead Tsukuru family members, creating ethereal weapons to attack, defend, or destroy those that oppose the family and earth country.
Kōton, Steel Release A Blacksmith's job is never done, as long as there is need for weapons, thus the Tsukuru have mastered the element of “Kōton”, or “Steel Release”, which is an advanced nature Kekkei Genkai. However, this steel is no ordinary steel, and is the “Black Steel”, and it's key characteristics are being light weight, yet incredibly strong for it's strength-to-weight ratio. Black steel is extremely hard to break, and most weapons crack or even become destroyed when striking it. Through this, the Tsukuru are able to control, direct, and manipulate Steel. The Only major weakness the Black Steel has is the own element that is used to create it; fire. Another element that can compete with Kōton is Ice, which causes metals to brittle.
Two elements are better than one element Due to their mastery in “Kōton”, the Tsukuru's ability comes from to basic elements, which are “Katon” (“Fire”) and “Doton” (“Earth”). However, their element is slightly different. Their “Doton” is of a different color, black, which is believed to represent the ashes they have risen from.
Clan Jutsu
“Teitetsukon” Soul Forge Techniques - Spoiler:
Kon-konpon – (Your sword’s name here) (Soul Root) [b]Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A, as the it is a summon Element: Steel Description: This jutsu is required by all clan members who plan to summon their soul armor. This jutsu is noted by a tattoo somewhere on their face, which glows whenever a piece of armor is summoned. Note: This technique does nothing itself and is not an actual jutsu to be used.
Seisei-ken (Summon Blade) [b]Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A, as the it is a summon Element: N/A Description: The original summon, this is usually just considered an ability to return the Konken to its owner. Where ever the weapon currently is it seems to turn a bright white (though not enough to harm the eyes) then it phases out of existence and then phases back into existence in the owner’s hands.
Konjoumae (Soul Lock) Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: Long, Element: N/A Description: This jutsu is not even on the level where it needs hand seals, being a simple use of chakra and a basic utility of clan weapons. This technique removes the worry that one will get themselves into a situation where they cannot use their hands for seals in an emergency situation. When a blade is dropped, it can be made to hover where it is, staying locked in place. If struck by any outside force the blade will simply fall to the ground or be thrown with the force of impact.
Seijou Kane no jutsu (Cleanest Steel technique) Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Koton, Steel Description: Clan weapons are some of the finest crafted in the world, and it shows through this technique. Using a miniscule amount of chakra after few handseals, any solid surface of Konken will become as reflective as a mirror. Even through dirt and grime, the mirror like effect will shine through as long as chakra is channeled into it.
Shinjin no Hibana (Neophyte’s Spark) Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close, 0-5m Element: Koton, Steel Description: After hand seals, the next time the edge of the soul weapon strikes a surface, the spark of iron against hot iron is created. The simple spark cause a mild sting if the erupting sparks touch skin. It can also cause highly flammable substances to catch aflame.
Migakiageru (Finest Shine) Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close, 0-5m Element: Steel Description: This jutsu is a low level distraction technique. After completing their seals, the clan member’s soul weapon will begin to glow like the hottest metal. Then bright sparks erupt from it, making it shine bright enough to temporarily blind someone for one post and leave spots in vision the following post.
Seisei-tebukuro (Summon Gauntlets) Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A, as it is a summon Element: Steel Description: Commonly the Konyoroi piece discovered, these defensive armaments are common because of how light weight they are and their ease of use when still using offensive styles. After the hand seals are finished, the user holds their hands high (holding up their soul weapon) and in a strike of bright light the Soul gauntlets appear over their hands. Soul gauntlets commonly absorb damage just like a normal pair of gauntlets. After taking a direct blow, these gauntlets disappear again in a flash of white light.
Nenten Kane no Jutsu (Twirling Steel Technique) Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close, 0-5m away from the user Element: Steel Description: Using the basics of the soul lock, the soul weapon can now be used in this defensive jutsu. After or before seals, the weapon is locked into place right before the user. Afterwards the weapon begins to spin along its center very quickly, creating a basic defense against projectiles and attacks of 10 strength or less (without Tai bonuses).
Gonsakukon (Faux Soul) Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A, as the it is a summon Element: N/A Description: Instead of being hit by the blow, only the soul armor of the user will be in their place, and their body will combust into a blinding white light. Afterwards the armor that they were wearing at the time will vanish with the light. (Blinds for 1 post) (Kawarimi rule applies.)
BakuhaKame no jutsu (Blast of the furnace Technique) Rank: D-S Type: Ninjutsu Range: Mid, 5-9m Element: N/A Description:This jutsu creates a passive increase in temperature local to the Tsukuru. To an observer it seems like flits of sparks are hanging in the air around them. To anyone within a 20 foot radius, they will feel an almost dramatic rise in temperature, causing prolonged physical activity to quickly tire out anyone that doesn’t have a good way of keeping cool. Coincidentally, the user is the only one who doesn’t feel the effects from this. Base Effect: Last 2 post C Rank: Lasts 3 post B Rank: Lasts 4 post
Ikkyou Sankan no Jutsu (Unexpected Visit Technique) Rank: C-A Type: Ninjutsu Range: Long, 10-15m Element: Steel Description: Calling on the help of the Ethereal Konken of the dead, the user performs a quick set of hand seals to initiate this jutsu. Upon the completion of the hand seals a grouping of swords and spears collect around the user’s head and then at a motion are launched towards the target. Base Effect: 2 Weapons created Rank B: 4 Weapons created Rank A: 6 Weapons created
Seisei-Hanka (Summon Boots) Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A, as it is a summon Element: N/A Description: The boots of the Konyoroi are summoned into being with this technique. After the hand seals are completed the user raises their Konken high and a bright light shines around their ankles, followed by their boots appearing over the garment currently covering their feet. These boots are just as resilient as your average armored footwear, and when struck with a solid blow or punctured, they will vanish in a bright white light.
Kagesentou (Shadow Puppet) Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close to Mid, 0-10m Element: N/A Description: Another extension from the soul lock ability, this time allowing the user to move their soul weapon around the battlefield with a manipulation of chakra. The weapon moves at a speed equal to the user, and if the user moves their arms as if fighting the weapon will make the same motions. The limits on this are that one hand has to maintain a seal for the duration, and ‘letting go’ of the weapon will release the connection.
Kencho Atsui! (Strike it hot!) Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close, 0-5m Element: Steel Description:A technique based purely in chakra manipulation, the user completes one seal and then their Konken begins to glow. After this the next time their weapon strikes a surface, there is an explosion the force of an explosive pouch accompanied by a bright white explosion and sparks. This is dangerous to be hit by, but can also be used to force objects open.
Yousetsutou (Welder’s knife) Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Steel Description:This jutsu turns the users Konken into an exact item of destruction. The weapon begins to glow bright orange with heat, and unlike usual is actually becoming extremely hot in the user’s hands. The surface becomes hot enough to cut through metals with some resistance, and things like stone or trees are easily seared through. Usually this is more useful for gaining entry into locked places, like a safe or a vault, but can be used to punish an opponent with strong burns if they manage to be struck.
Kokoro Tankyuu no Buki (Heart seeker’s weapon) Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: Long, 10m+ Element: Steel Description: After throwing the soul weapon like a boomerang, the user creates the tiger seal. This makes the weapon begin to spin violently upon its center-axis, creating enough spinning force to drill into stone if needed. But what’s worse is the weapon moves under the user’s direction at a incredible speed. This continues as long as the user holds the tiger seal for the duration. If the weapon strikes a target, it's been known to penetrate bodies easily and has been known to penetrate defensive jutsu ranks B and below with ease. At the end of the last post, the weapon returns to the user’s hand.
Seisei-Shappo (Summon Helmet) Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A, as the it is a summon Element: Steel Description: The fourth soul armor piece is considered less vital, but more utilitarian then the others. Raising their soul weapon high above their head, a bright light shines over their face before it is covered in their personal soul armor piece. These helmets usually have the common durability of a normal helmet, and after being struck by a solid blow or punctured in any way will disappear in a bright flash of light.
Senkun no Issho (Meeting of the ancestors) Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A, as the it is a summon Element: Steel Description: A purely defensive jutsu. After hand seals are completed, a mass of swords that appear to be made of light converge right before the user. This convergence of swords has a 3 foot diameter. It will block up to B ranked Jutsus. A physical attack can break the shield of swords if the attacker’s strength is great. The Meeting of the Ancestors stays where it is summoned for 1 additional post after the one it is created.
Kokujin no Ame (Rain of the blackened) Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: 15 meters in diameter Element: Koton Description:A blacksmith ready to heat metal must have a good source of heat. This jutsu is initiated by the clan member performing seals and then pointing their weapon to the sky. Suddenly from above there starts a slow rain of sparks, as if standing under a blacksmith’s anvil. These sparks are enough to causing singing stings hit direct skin, and cause burns to clothing. The rain continues over a 15 meter area, and is known to cause mild devastation to the nearby area. But most of all, it causes a constant level of stinging heat.
Gougoukai (Thunderous Release) Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: Long, 90 meters Element: N/A Description:This technique requires a large concentration of chakra for a long distance strike. After seals are completed, the user charges chakra into their Konken for a whole post, which causes it to glow bright orange like heated iron. The second post the weapon is then pointed, and then explodes off in the direction pointed with a noise resembling cannon fire in volume. The weapon then travels up to 90 meters with the force of a blow to penetrate A rank defensive ninjutsu and below. The force of the landing has been known to leave small craters for stronger ninjutsu users and the attack is said to travel at a speed rivaling even the greatest projectile specialist’s throws.
Seisei-Bugu (Summon Chest piece) Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A, as the it is a summon Element: Steel Description: The strongest and most detailed piece of armor, this chest piece is summoned by the user initiating the jutsu and then raising their soul weapon high above their head. Their whole chest glows in a bright white light before their armor appears in place of their current clothing. Being more resilient then all the other armor pieces, the basics of the chest piece allows it to take two sturdy blows or be punctured twice before it disappears in a flash of white light.
Wasurejin-nai no Heikei (Arsenal of the unforgotten) Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: Area of 10 meters Element: N/A Description: The dead give their weapons as gifts to the clansmen’s cause. After handseals are completed for this jutsu, the very earth begins to rumble beneath the battleground and a pattern of white spots checkers the ground every 2 feet. Suddenly, in the area of 10 meters, Spears, long swords, and halberds rise up across the ground from the spots to strike up to 5 feet in the air. These weapons rise fast enough to impale anyone unlucky enough to be standing on them, yet always come straight up from the earth (never at an angle). These weapons are stuck in place, unable to be removed from the earth. After the jutsu is completed, the weapons remain protruding from the earth, dotting the battlefield and restricting movement as people struggle to find room between them to move.
Dzuki-Kanadzuchi (Under the Hammer) Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: Long, 10m Element: Steel Description:After performing the seals, the user strikes their Konken into the ground (or any solid surface). After it’s landing, the ground (or a place along that surface) under a specific place within 10 meters of the user will begin to glow bright white. The user must keep their weapon in place till the explosion is set off. This slow and obvious build up leads to an explosion of sparks equal to a weaker explosive tag going off under the intended location. Not only devastating, but also blinds anyone that witnesses the explosion for 1 post, and causes 1st degree burns by those hit by the sparks that the explosion spreads wide along the battlefield.
Bunshin: Yoroi Ryoudo no Jutsu (Clone: Armor Possession) Rank: A Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A, as the it is a summon Element: N/A Description:This technique is considered top tier among fighting bunshin. After performing handseals, the User’s armor glows and then vanishes from their body, then reappears on a bunshin whose body seems to glow a fluctuating orange. It carries a duplicate of the User’s sword, even down to its functions, and each piece of armor the user currently had on works as it would for the clan member themselves. It can use any jutsu the user has, except for jutsu to resummon armor pieces or create more bunshin. After the bunshin is defeated, the armor dissipates with a white glow. Only one bunshin at a time can be created.
Seisei-Yoroikonzen (Summon Complete Soul Armor) Rank: A Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A, as the it is a summon Element: N/A Description: By this point clan members have learned to summon multiple pieces of armor at once. This jutsu summons all the pieces of soul armor that the user knows jutsu for all at once, as well as intricately connects them to create a more complete suit (through other smaller pieces of armor like Chausses, greaves, etc, that cover up the small areas of the body that may have still been exposed when separate pieces were summoned. The clan member performs the seals and raises their hand high above their head; they then glow white all over before the armor appears to cover their body. The downside to this way of summoning the armor is that after any armor piece is struck or punctured twice, the whole suit of armor will vanish in a bright light.
Atae Maigo no Jutsu (Gift of the Lost) Rank: A Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A, as the it is a summon Element: N/A Description: A strong defensive jutsu. This technique creates an aura of chakra on the exterior of the Soul Armor. For 1 post the user is immune to jutsu with a stage lower then Stage 2 plus an additional stage for every Konyoroi piece they currently have on. The Konken weapon does not count. When this jutsu expires, the soul armor is unsummoned except for the soul sword, and no pieces can be summoned for 2 post. The user is free to move while this protection is active.
Hogo Tentou wa Yori (Favor from the Heavens) Rank: A Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A, as the it is a summon Element: N/A Description: The user performs this jutsu while their sword is in soul lock. Afterwards their sword soars high into the sky, then soars back down and strikes the earth, causing the earth to groan with the blow. The very earth below the weapon’s landing is depressed and everyone in the area feels the tremor. Most people are easily thrown off their feet by the shaking. The earth splits slightly in a line towards up to 4 targets, and from it seems to explode up sparks that cause 2nd degree burns.
Tetsu Kakkou! (Iron Shaper!) Rank: S Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A, as the it is a summon Element: N/A Description:Using the power of a complete soul armor, this jutsu creates a devastating attack that can level large areas of battlefield in one shot. A mass of chakra is being expended throughout the armor, charging it for the strike to happen. Then the user moves towards their target, the armor feeling lighter then life, making movement easy and effortless, no physical force can stop the user’s movement during this time and they will find themselves having trouble even stopping themselves. They are immune to physical attacks from attackers and any jutsu below Rank A. If they strike something within that post, their weapon will explode with the force of several exploding tags, cutting through any defense lower then Rank S, and blinding those that witness the technique for 2 post. After the post this is used, regardless of the blow landing or not, the soul armor vanishes. Require opponent’s permission.
Hatsu akuba no Kokujin (Curse of the 8 smithies) Rank: S Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A, as the it is a summon Element: N/A Description:one of the final jutsu of the clan, created to end engagements regardless of the dexterity of the target. It requires physical contact, and more then that to create a capturing grip on the target. After the jutsu is initiated, 8 glowing red ethereal blades appear around the user, circling them in a slow pattern. These swords will circle the user for 3 post, or until the jutsu is executed. Once the user gets a firm grip on their target, 9 ethereal blue bunshin appear, each one taking a blade and the final one merely watching. The 8 armed bunshin each sweep in, one after another, and jam their weapons deep into the target. These weapons do not harm armor, clothing, or even outer skin, but attack directly to the core of the body, destroying the inner organs in horrible slashes and penetrations. The final blow will come from behind the user harmlessly passing through the user and going right through the target’s heart. This jutsu is almost always a sure kill. Afterwards, all the weapons and bunshin vanish. Opponent’s permission required.
Shuukyoku-Sachi (Final Wishes) Rank: S Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A, as the it is a summon Element: N/A Description: This mass damage technique is the finishing move for more battle royal situations. After completing the needed hand seals, a mass of ethereal weapons appear above the user’s head, each one glowing a faint orange in color. At the user’s command they shoot off at up to 4 targets, divided however the user chooses, each one moving of its own will and with frightening speed. Worse than this, they fly with intent, and will track a target for 1 whole post before giving up. For each blade that strikes a target, they explode with the force of an exploding pouch. The weapons fly at a speed equal to the 40.
Kyuken (The 9th Blade) Rank: S, Forbidden Technique Type: Ninjutsu Range: 10m+ Element: Steel Description:This mysterious jutsu is said to only have been performed by the eldest member of the clan, and former clan head. After the beginning of the Curse of the 8 Smithies technique, when the weapons are still circling the user, they go into another long set of seals. When they are finally complete, the sky goes black with clouds, and a single solid blade of gold luster falls from the sky and strikes deep into the earth. Moments later, an earth splitting quake, strong enough to level massive buildings and change the face of mountains, will hit within a mile area. The devastation is so terrible that it is said that only the user will know the way to survive it, which holds true with the eldest member still being alive today. Requires Admin permission to use.
“Kōton”, Steel Release techniques
- Spoiler:
Kōton Souken (“Steel Creation”) Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Steel Description: Since Steel can be hard to find in some countries that do not have many minerals, Tsukuru clan members are able to spew Steel from their mouths while it is in liquid form. After the molten steel is released from the user's body, the steel will cool down in one post, and will be available to use as a source.
Kōton Soujuu (“Steel Manipulation”) Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Steel Description: More of a passive ability, this technique allows the Tsukuru to change the properties and characteristics of steel, as well as alter their shapes, this includes but not limited to changing steel from solid to liquid, heating it, forcing it to become brittle, changing the shape metals, etc.
Kōton Kagamiita (“Steel Panel”) Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close to mid range, 0-7m Element: Steel Description: The most elementary form of 'defense' in this arsenal of jutsu, Steel Panel is more of a pre-emptive measure rather than a barrier. A square panel of metal forms up to one meter away from the user. The square is only a quarter of an inch thick, making it ridiculously easy to break and shatter upon solid contact (ie. a punch, not a tap). However, that is the entire point of this jutsu, because once the panel shatters, fragments of Steel will likely fall on the person who broke it, perfectly able of giving him/her shallow cuts, or can be shattered by the user to send metal shards their way.
Kōton Kawarimi (“Steel Replacement”) Rank: E Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Steel Description: A more potent variation of the standard Replacement technique, instead of switching spots with a nearby object, the user leaves behind a Steel statue of their likeness. The model is strong and sturdy, which can harm Taijutsu opponents striking the statue, capable of breaking bones if struck hard enough.
Kōton Tekidan (“Steel Grenade”) Rank: D-S Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Steel Description: A rather devastating technique if used correctly, the Steel Grenade is one of Tsukuru's first steel offensive weapons. By performing the necessary hand seals, the Tsukuru will create small balls of black steel, and the user must then throw these. These steel grenades are not on a timer, and must be manually set off. When set off, the grenades will explode, sending steel shards and shrapnel to anyone in the blast radius. D Rank: Up to two are created and each have a force of one exploding tag. C Rank: Up to three are created and each have a force of two exploding tags. B Rank: Up to four are created and each have a force of three exploding tags. A Rank: Up to five are created and each have a force of one exploding pouch. S Rank: Up to six are created and each have a force of two exploding pouches.
Kōton Debaru (“Steel Projectiles”) Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Long range, 10m+ Element: Steel Description: Steel Projectile, when employed by the right hands, can prove to be a very damaging move. The user creates several shuriken or kunai (but not a mix, only one of the two) of Steel. These projectiles can either be thrown by hand or through Chakra. What puts this technique above all other minor elemental projectile jutsu is that, if it penetrates, can be used to “explode” on impact, causing metal shards to delve deeper into the wound.
Kōton Souken (“Steel Weapon Creation”) Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Steel Description: A step up from the Steel Projectile Technique. By using chakra to control the metal below and around them, the user manipulates it into weapons that are able to take and deal out more damage than this technique’s predecessor.
Name: Kōton Seikei (“Steel Cast”) Rank: D Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close to Mid, 0-7m Element: Steel Description: After forming the required handseals, the user can spit out a stream of molten Steel. Unnaturally cool to the touch, the target of the viscous material is to hit an opponent's arm or leg. From there, it will harden almost instantaneously around the limb to hamper movement. To have a hand restricted by this technique would be disastrous as it would render a target unable to properly form handseals. If the steel is affecting a leg or foot, the Steel usually fuses with the ground as well to root the target to the spot. This jutsu has even been known to form makeshift casts and splints on allies. The Steel Cast lasts for two posts before dissipating, but can be broken prematurely.
Kōton Kyuutai (“Steel Sphere”) Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Steel Description: Steel Sphere is a technique recognized by many Shinobi. By forming the necessary handseals, Steel begins to pack together and form a perfect, seamless sphere around the user, covering him from every possible angle of attack. Extremely hard to break through, this jutsu is double edged because the user traps himself inside the sphere, unable to see outside. The final handseal must also be held in place to maintain the technique, so other jutsu cannot be used while the Sand Sphere is in effect. With all of these drawbacks, though, comes a terrific defense. Sand Sphere can block up to B Rank and physical attacks.
Kōton Sigure (“Steel Shower”) Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: 15 ft in diameter Element: Steel Description: The user lifts a considerable amount of Steel into the air and launches it in a barrage upon the enemy, whether it be from above to rain it down upon his enemy, or from a horizontal lane in a violent volley. However the Steel can clump together, resulting in each drop being about the size of a baseball. If the enemy does not get out of the area affected the bombarding orb shaped sand can cause bone fracturing. The barrage can be maintained for every post for every 2 Chakra points.
Kōton Taihou (“Steel Throat Cannon”) Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Fifteen feet Element: Steel Description: Channeling a pocket of Chakra in the throat, the user converts it directly into Steel and spits out a ball about twice the size of a basketball. The sphere travels in a straight line for fifteen feet at a swift speed before succumbing to gravity. To be struck by one of these 'cannonballs' would leave a nasty bruise, and to be struck twice in the same spot could easily fracture a bone.
Kōton Muchi (“Steel Whips”) Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close, 0-5m Element: Steel Description: After creating the seals and placing both palms on the ground, whip-like tendrils of Steel will burst from the ground. The tendrils are fifteen feet in length and, when lashing an opponent, can leave vicious bruises and even tear the skin. While using the whips to constrict an opponent would be a viable tactic, their grip can be broken instantly if the target is equal or higher than the user's rank. Up to four can be created at a time.
Name: Kōton Midika (“Steel Familiar”) Rank: C Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close, 0-5m Element: Steel Description:Steel Familiar is a unique cloning kind of jutsu. Instead of creating a clone of the user, Steel Familiar summons forth a Steel creature of nature. The beast can be no bigger than a bear in size, and no smaller than a hare. It cannot perform Genjutsu or Ninjutsu, but is capable of Taijutsu. Although unable to speak, the animal is able to communicate perfectly with its creator, but not anybody else. A user can only have one in existence at a time.
Koudo Kōton Souken (“Advanced Weapon Creation”) Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close, 0-5m Element: Steel Description: An upgraded form of Kōton Souken, this allows the Tsukuru to create any weapon they can imagine, and even bring exotic weapons to play, such as chains, hooks, ranged weapons, and so forth.
Kōton no Futoiude (“Great Arm of Steel”) Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close to mid, 0-7m Element: Steel Description: A huge arm forms from the Steel, and tries to grab the enemy with it's large clawed hand. This jutsu usually is usually offensive, but can also be used as a shield or powerful punch. The arm, both offensive and defensive in nature, can fracture bones with a punch and send an opponent skidding across the earth. In defense, it can sustain physical attacks of up to Rank B.
Kōton Suiiki (“Steel Water”) Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close to mid, 0-7m Element: Steel Description: A devastating jutsu when poured on, Steel Waters requires the user to build up Chakra in his throat and mouth. Exhaling, a veritable river of molten steel will come from the user's mouth. Surging forwards for the user's Control in feet, the sluggish liquid (two feet in diameter) will scorch anything in its path, even setting things like paper and leaves on fire. Although unable to kill on first contact, if one were to be caught within the current of the molten steel and remain there, death could be a possibility, if not mutilation at the very least by second degree burns because of the immense concentration. After one post, the steel will cool and harden, setting in place and binding whatever has been caught within. This solid state can be crumbled by a Rank C Ninjutsu.
Kōton Kyuuten no Ikari (“Steel Anger from the Heavens”) Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: Close to mid, 0-7m Element: Steel Description: After finishing the handseals for this jutsu, large boulders of Steel will rise into the air and hover, glittering in the radiant light of the sun. The user can command the boulders to fly towards a target with enough force break themselves on contact, fracturing the unfortunate victim's bones; even a glancing blow can result in vicious bruising. The boulders can be shattered into little blocks, if the opponent is an exceptional Taijutsu practitioner.
Kōton Ryuu (“Steel Dragon”) Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Steel Description: This jutsu, obviously, creates a winged dragon out of Steel. Capable of flight, the beast is also speedy on foot, galloping at a brisk 30 miles. With razor claws, the dragon can slash and cause grievous injuries, and if both of its feet are planted firmly, it can open its maw and use the Steel Shower jutsu. Rank B Ninjutsu or a physical blow of a Taijutsu user can fell the creature. A user can only have one in existence at a time, but one is usually all that is needed for the Steel Dragon is a reliable mount that can be counted on.
Kagirinai Hyou (“Eternal Ice”) Rank: B Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Steel Description: Steel has sometimes been described as 'unmelting ice', in other words, 'eternal ice', exactly from which this technique claims its name. After completing the seals and slamming a palm against a solid surface, a giant spike of Steel, with a surrounding smaller spikes will burst from whatever patch of that surface the user can see with his own two eyes, typically underneath an opponent.
Kōton Rank: A Type: Ninjutsu Range: Long, 10m+ Element: Steel Description: A very deadly jutsu that was invented by the most recently. This jutsu is not to be used against anyone but an intended target or enemy. Never a sparring opponent or anything similar. By focusing pressure and Steel together together, two orbs of superheated Steel are formed near the users head and are shot towards a target with extreme force. These shots of Steel have the brute force similar to a bullet and are able to cut through Rock and steel with ease. These streams cannot change direction once they are fired and if they make contact with the opponent without killing him, the superheated Steel sets ablaze instantly, burning the opponent.
Eikshou Ryuu Bakufuu (“Molten Dragon Blast”) Rank: A Type: Ninjutsu Range: Fifty feet in one direction Element: Steel Description: Perhaps one of the most feared Steel techniques in existence, this jutsu's power can rival that of Katon: Karyuu Endan. Molten Dragon Blast is capable of altering, even destroying the landscape. By concentrating a great volume of Chakra in the throat, the user then spits out a massive torrent of molten Steel. The liquid is hot enough to melt human flesh, radiating enough heat in the general area for first degree burns if one wasn't careful. The giant stream surges forwards as far as fifty feet, the front waves taking the form of a dragon's head and gaping maw. Those who are caught unawares in its path are either killed by the sheer weight or the hellish temperature. In two posts, the Steel eventually cools and hardens, trapping and suffocating anybody who incredibly managed to live that long after being hit.
Kōton Mure no Kyouran (Steel Fury of the Swarm) Rank: A Type: Ninjutsu Range: Fifty feet in one direction Element: Steel Description: One of the more potent jutsu in the Steel arsenal, Steel Fury of the Swarm has been known to end many a fight in the past. Creating ten marble sized balls of Steel at the end of each fingertip, the user then fires them all at once towards the target. Keep in mind that looks are deceiving. Although they are only marble sized, each sphere is actually half a ton of Steel compressed via Chakra into that one, small space. The ten orbs will then split into two each (softball size) for a total of twenty, surrounding the opponent before exploding in a shower of Steel senbon and shrapnel. While extremely difficult to defend against, it is a difficult jutsu to pull off and is rather taxing on the user.
Kōton Amatsugoten no Juzou (Steel Statues of the Imperial Palace) Rank: A Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Steel Description: Opponent permission or a death enabled thread. Description: Some say that this jutsu is done to the most terrible of traitors against the Tsukuru, to show all in the village what becomes of those who turn against those of the clan. Concentrating an awesome amount of Chakra into one palm, this takes one post of preparation before its actual use where the user may not attack or defend due to the enormous focus required. The next person or object that the user strikes with that one palm will then gradually and inexorably 'freeze' over until it/he/she is nothing more than a Steel monument.
Kōton Kouten no Nagareboshi (Steel Meteor of Heaven) Rank: S, Forbidden Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Steel Description: Steel Meteor of Heaven is a horrifying jutsu used only in the most absolute dire straits; the technique is normally forbidden because of its unrivaled pernicious potential. Sacrificing a great portion of Chakra, the user can part the skies and call down a shining meteor of black Steel. While falling from the stratosphere, the meteor breaks up into four house sized chunks that, when crashing to the ground, can cause tidal waves of earth so that even if one managed to evade the colossal boulder, the titanic shockwave of the impact would break bones and cause ears to bleed. Anything in a fifty foot diameter would be devastated.
Kōton: Mukankaku Kikou ("Steel: Impervious Armor") Rank: S Type: Ninjutsu Range: N/A Element: Steel Description: The prime and pinnacle perfection of the Tsukuru, this can be used to make one's body virtually indestructible by turning it into black steel throughout their entire body. Taijutsu users will have difficulty damaging the Tsukuru and this jutsu is capable of blocking A ranked jutsus, and if added defenses are utilized, S ranked jutsus.
Clan Information
- Spoiler:
Clan Clothing: Though not particular, the Tsukuru are known to wear a bit of metal jewelery, from necklaces to earrings or nose rings. Their clothing is usually loose and sturdy, though that doesn’t prevent it from looking good or colorful.
Clan Housing: The Tsukuru have two separate housings, the largest one is in Hagane village, home of the famous Hagane steel. There they have a compound 2 stories tall and many rooms deep where they create the weapons that make them the strongest family of blacksmith’s in stone. The housing in Hagane is considered dark, dank, and unappealing, but most Tsukuru don’t make much of it. The compound is well decorated with many different weapons and other metal creations from armor to shields and gates. It is considered by some more of a museum of forging then an actual compound.
On the other hand the smaller compound within stone village is more welcoming; holding much fewer pits and is brightly lit and furnished. This compound is mostly made up of a storage facility for the Tsukuru to store the weapons they create for hidden stone, and housing for the Tsukuru that are working to become shinobi. Many Tsukuru are amazed when they move from the Hagane house to the Hidden stone one at how different a feel the Hidden stone compound has. But because of how simple the Hidden Stone compound is, it is usually not considered much more then a dorm or temp housing.
Clan Heirarchy: The Tsukuru are a small collection of several family units, and for the most part do not have a definite leadership system. But there is a definite stratification among the clan for those with more powerful Konken compared to weaker ones, those who are ninja compared to blacksmiths, both, or neither. Of importance, from top to bottom, most to least.
Clan Head and Sages At the very top is the clan head, usually voted into power as being the best among them. Right below him are the sages and master smiths of the clan, these the wisest and most skilled smiths among the Tsukuru. Getting to these positions usually requires years of experiance and great skill in either the shinobi field, weapon creation, or both.
Soul Smiths Those who have chosen to be both a ninja and still serving as a blacksmith are considered highest below them. These people serve directly under the clan head and are considered to have very close ties to the workings of the clan as a whole. They are usually stratified amongst themselves by their skill with a weapon.
Master Smiths Master Smiths are those that are exceptionally skilled at blacksmith work. Their skill at a forge is amazing and the weapons they craft are enough to make their lack of shinobi knowledge a non-issue.
Soul Warrior Those that serve only as shinobi and have no knowledge of creating items are in this slot. Though they are not the lowest, they are still looked upon as being 'average' compared to everyone else. They are just above everyday members and lackluster smiths.
Clan Traditions/Ceremonies: Tribute to the lost- Every year, the recovered weapons of every Tsukuru who has died within the year are brought together. They are hung from extravagent racks. The whole clan collects to pay tribute to them, bringing flowers, jewelery, etc. This is to please those that have died and make sure they know that while they are gone, they should remain strong for the Tsukuru family as a whole.
Testament to the blade- When a Tsukuru comes of age (age 12), their family commisions the creation of their Konken, soul weapon. This process is intricate, taking the help of a clan sage who will determine the mindset of the child. The clan sage takes this information, using it to assist in forging the Konken. This process begins 6 months before their birthday, and culminates with the young Tsukuru showing up to their birthday with their mark freshly emblazoned on their face and their Konken ready to be presented to them as a finish to the festivities. Usually, the whole clan will show up to these ceremonies.
Birth of a Soul- This is the process by which a Konken is created. The sages, either through direct or indirect observation of the recipitant, gauge the user's personality and direction in life. Using this information, one of the he soul smiths are chosen to create the weapon in question.
A special anvil and tools are used, ancient molds and methods, and a special set of runic seals drawn along the room and equipment. Then, with the help of a flood of chakra, the Soul Forger works fervishly to mold their vision of that specific Tsukuru's soul. They have yet to wrongly represent someone.
Traditions: The Tsukuru always place their weapons above their heads if possible when they lay down to rest.
When praying to ancestors (Which is common) the prayer is always voiced into the metal of a Konken.
Clan History: The Warring Houses
Due to the mines, the earth country has always had a focus in mining raw materials. Due to this, blacksmiths were bound to pop up in the country as well.
Two families of blacksmiths formed early in Earth countries history, before the creation of the shinobi village even. These were the Rowdy and Rambunctious Teikon, and the Cocky and Stubborn TestuKaji. Both had become famous for their blades, armor, even gates and horseshoes. The Teikon were known for the sturdiness of their weapons, and people worldwide knew of the strength of a Teikon branded sword or shield known of the wondrous Hagane steel. The Tetsukaji on the other hand were known for their extravagant design, to the point that some of their items were considered difficult to guess the intended use of.
The TetsuKaji mocked the plain and simple weapons of the Teikon, while the Teikon considered the Tetsukaji weapons too pretty to be considered anything but ornaments.
Each house, containing warriors as impressive as their blacksmiths, challenged each other with the intent of the winner being branded the greatest blacksmiths of earth country. Subterfuge and fighting started, many nights the Teikon awaking to find their homes aflame, or Tetsukaji finding their supplies stolen. It escalated over generations, each family despising the other.
Still a generation before the creation of stone, there was a discovery that one of the children of the Teikon, Teikon Yoshi, was actually fathered by a Testukaji. The relationship shocked both families, the two secret lovers were banned from ever seeing each other and the mother was ostracized for keeping the relationship and the boy’s origin secret for so long. He was already 16 years of age, and was one of the greatest blacksmiths of the Teikon’s ‘soulsteel’ style of weapon creation. But suddenly the boy found himself an object of hate for both families. Within the year, Teikon Yoshi vanished, causing many among the houses to believe that the other house had killed him. Fighting intensified, causing attention of local authorities to be pressed down on both families. Things went quiet for years.
On the 20th birthday of Teikon Yoshi, a member of each house disappeared in the night. This persisted night after night for 3 more nights. The houses tried to blame each other, but each insisted on their innocence. They decided to hold a meeting to hold judgment over each other, each to present their case at a neutral location. As the meeting got started, Teikon Yoshi burst in through the doors, 8 men behind him and carrying an extravagant weapon. The guards tried to stop the man, but each was quickly disabled or fallen before the group’s weapons. Yoshi explained, telling how his weapon was a culmination of both families knowledge. The men with him, 4 Teikon and 4 Tetsukaji, had been working in secret to bring the houses knowledge together to create a special style. It required the heart and soul to be placed into the metal, like the Teikon taught, and for the beauty of the mind to shape it, like the Tetsukaji.
With this knowledge the two houses banded together, taking the name of Tsukuru as an amalgamation. Yoshi was reluctantly considered the head of the dual house as they moved forward with the merging.
As stone came into existence, they found instead of two split houses of blacksmiths, one strong clan of blacksmiths to help create some of the most powerful weapons in the world.
Clan Currently: The Tsukuru clan has currently moved on to using factory molds and machinary to create weaponry. This is to keep up with the demands of Hidden Stone and their large military forces. Kunai, Shuriken, swords and shields all spill from this factory in the middle of the Tsukuru Hidden Stone complex. But more importantly then that, they have begun to experiment with a special machine that can use a special mold to create a Konken by the same process. It still requires the help of a sage and that sage's chakra, but the seals and equipment don't have to be changed beyond the mold. This allows for a Konken to be made in much shorter time and with less effort, but many in the clan consider the act inhumane.

| This whole clan is like 3 KKG in one clan. Stronger Katon and Doton elements which can be achieved through SC, binding souls to weapons (which is a big no) and to top all that, steel manipulation, which I could approve if you would work more on it. But no spewing steel from your mouth. You will need to have some source of it near you, even if you have to carry it with you. |

How are they stronger? All I stated was that the Katon was blue and Doton was black. Please elaborate why color changes are making a element more "powerful"

Binding souls is a big no? How is that? If that's the case, why do we have a craftsmen mission that requires the user to retrieve souls for the person's requested weapon? I'm not being rude or defying, but that seems rather contradictory. Besides, the user's soul is bound to the weapon, it's not I'm like stealing souls from individuals.

No spewing Steel from the mouth? The Steel is in it's liquid state. That's just like telling the Lava Release clan no spewing from the mouth and dig down to the mantle and receive lava. What about the Boil clan? They spew acidic mists from their mouths and pores. What's the difference between mixing the Boil Clan's Katon and Suiton inside their own bodies than my clan's Katon and Doton inside of ours?
I'm not trying to be rude and I apologize if I come off that way, but it seems like you're just saying no with little to no explanations. |

| I'm not sure about the mission you are reefering to - and if such a mission exists, I would think it's more of a 'in theory' soul collecting (praying), rather than actual 'hutning' for dead people and their presences. In truth the Naruto Universe is rather... vague when it comes to death. Sure we had seen two or three ghosts, but never in the cannon and as such, we can't and don't know what Kishimoto's stance on souls are... though that shouldn't matter, as we are a non-cannon forum anyway. STILL I personally don't like adding souls, ghosts and other otherwordly stuff in to an already very open minded world. And I would agree with RockBoy - a Steel only clan would be very managable and I would gladly approve it, however on that one very important condition - no souls involved.
Now also to clarify, you're not making Doton stronger, however Katon increases in temperature as it does, when the flame turns from red to blue - basic Chemistry teaching. Therefore, higher temperature means more burns and more damage, which does equal in a stronger element... so RockBoy was right and yet, don't worry! I wouldn't be denying this straight away either. Just please rework your clan around the aspect of Steel only, and we'll see how things progress from there on. I think you will have a very good shot at getting your clan approved then! |

Mission Title: 100 Souls. Mission Type: Profession - Generic. Mission Location: Any Minor Country. Shinobi Requirement: Must be a Craftsmen. Mission Rank: A. Mission Objective: For buckets of Ryo, a mysterious man has tasked you with the job of collecting 100 souls of people by killing them with a special sword. Your objective is to do so, and report back to him inside your village. Mission Time Limit: Two weeks. Min Post Count: 8. This is the mission I was referring to. The clan isn't hunting for deceased souls, ghost hunting, or anything in that nature; the clan is adding the soul of the user to his/her weapon, like a bond, the whole concept of "This is my weapon, there are many like it, but this is mine". The weapon and the user is linked, bound together, the techniques are just used with their weapon that's bound to them. It's like I stated before, the clan isn't taking souls from other people and bestowing it upon their weapons. If you guys still won't allow that much in it, then fine, I will get rid of it, but personally, what's wrong with linking someone to their weapon?
Ah, I forgot about that. I will go ahead and change the fire from blue to red. Easy fix. |

You will be hurt when you're weapon is damaged and die when you're weapon is destroyed. |
