The only way this would be plausible would be through using something such as the Sharingan, where you're able to see the world in a slower motion and thus have a chance of 'catching' the Shuriken. Being able to place your finger through a small hole that can travel at fast speeds wouldn't be possible without assistance. So to make my point, DENIED no Jutsu.

You'd still require an explanation into how you're actually able to catch the Shuriken, plus I'm not even sure why it costs chakra to do so. So far this is you simply placing your finger through a ring.

Chakra to enhance the speed of my fingers so I can land them in said ring? Kakashi did it without his Sharingan and I was hoping to do the same.

The difference is though that Kakashi has only performed this trick once against anyone and the person he demonstrated it against was the freshly made Genin, Naruto. Plus he's a bad arse mofo who can do random stuff like this and get away with it. Using the chakra as a way to speed up your fingers wouldn't be an acceptable method either, as I said, something like the Sharingan would be very useful due to it's natural ability to perceive the world in a slower motion. Sorry, but it's still a denial.

Well I guess I'll edit it to something more acceptable.

But for the record: you are wrong in assuming that the Sharingan slows down the world. It does not slow anything down, but rather hyper analyzes any given movement and gives the brain the most likely trajectory or path that movement is going to take. So it's almost like seeing into the future, knowing where the shuriken will be rather than watching it in slow motion. Contrary to popular opinion, watching it in slow motion would take years to adapt to before you fixed your timing issues from such a vision trait.

Would a sword moving to intercept them (up to 6) be acceptable instead??

No.. It would still require inhuman reflexes. If you had an SC that allowed you to think that quickly, react that quickly, and then move your body that quickly; then sure. But you don't, therefore you cannot have a technique that does this. On a side note, I will be making some Reflex oriented SC sometime soon, once I begin working on SC altogether. Reflex, if approved, would pretty much allow you to do this at a high enough rank.

Right. So a shuriken flies at roughly what? 50-60mph, well below the speed of a MLB fastball. Yet humans, without chakra enhanced abilities, can hit those. Why can't I smack them with my sword?

I thought you meant catch the shuriken with the blade by sliding it in the loops. If you want to play batting practice with shuriken be my guest; but change the jutsu accordingly. Also, in baseball, the pitched doesn't aim at the person's head. They aim at open air. Thus hitting it requires much less skill, then deflecting something that's much skinnier, very difficult to see, and heading for your left shoulder.
