Personally, I find the idea of aging a character extremely hard to narrow down and figure out an appropriate answer. Not everyone will ever be happy with a decision in these regards. If we do one RL month = 2 IC months, for example, what would we do about missions where their time limit is 2 weeks in RL? Are we saying now that suddenly it's taking shinobi a month to complete one mission? What about traveling time? A week to get some places?
Time is a fickle thing. Coming from the perspective of a philosopher, I believe it is best that we leave this up to interpretation in reasonable standards. By this I mean that people are capable of aging their characters appropriately for their development if there are key necessities for it. i.e. Ranking up. Character develops emotional instability and thus becomes an alcoholic. |
