Light gray wouldn't work, as it would clash terribly with the current theme. I suppose a goldish yellow wouldn't be too bad, but wasn't it yellow before? I could be wrong though, as my memory sucks when it comes to trivial things.

The thing is we've tried many many variations of yellow/gold and all were much worse than this orange. Do you have any suggestions for a specific hex?

I myself wanted to have the Kumo color without being approved and the Adamin said no. If you wanted to be an official Graphic Designer you could haz teh purty purple. :3
