It had been twenty minutes now that Saya had been defending the small temple. Herself and one other had begun this stand, however the four invading ninjas had then well outnumbered. Two of theirs had already been slain, but Saya’s partner was also unconscious and out of commission. The remaining two opponents had given her little quarter this fight, and seemed to thirst for her blood. Saya had fought them off well, parrying their attacks with her spear and her sword, evading their jutsu, or simply pushing on through them. She’d already received untold damage, and her body was in tatters. The blood needed for her summoning jutsu was in abundant supply when she formed the few hand seals needed to call her friends.

When Saya placed her hand against the ground, a small cloud of smoke appeared in front of and around her. For only a moment she was removed from plain sight, and only needed to jump forward to be where she wanted. The dinosaur that was her steadfast ally had appeared inside of the white smoke, and was crouched down low to the ground. With little warning it thrust its powerful legs down, and jumped almost straight up. Her opponents stared with shocked horror at the monster Saya was on top of, she herself holding tightly to remain on board as the bird like dinosaur sails skywards. It jumps up almost 30 feet in the air, and sails backwards about 20. When it lands it does so with suprising grace, and no massive earthshaking impact.

Trusting in her friend, for the moment, Saya leaps off of Kusamaru’s back. She quickly darts another five feet to the side to pick up the ancient spear she’d been disarmed of previously in the battle. As she grabs for it, the dinosaur inhales a deep breath. The massive burst of wind is little surprise to anyone when it comes bursting out of the dinosaurs mouth, and causes a great gale towards the two enemies. While Kusamaru pins the two enemy shinobi down, Saya is able to quickly retake her place on his back, better armed with her spear.

When the wind dies down, the enemy is given little time to recover from its impact. The sturdy legs of the demonbird drive the beast forward with remarkable speed, clearing the distance to the first with only two short hops. Saya’s spear cleaves through the air as Kusamaru lands beside the Leaf man, and the cutting edge of her spear slashes down through his shoulder. Kusamaru sinks his teeth into the now screaming ninja’s midsection and rends him up and off his feet. With a flick of it’s strong neck the dinosaur flings the weaker genin away from the fight, and turns to face off against the last enemy.

It’s only another pair of slashes before the last enemy has fallen, Saya’s long reaching spear running through her enemy’s back before the fight is finally over. Kusamaru and Saya both remain on their feet, and rather covered in their enemy’s blood. With little time for pleasantries or hesitation, Saya turns to the dinosaur and barks out her order. The beast acquiesces, and points in the direction of the strongest smelling enemies. Saya charges off with only her spear and katana in hands, and leaves Kusamaru to guard the previous battlefield.
