| Basic Information: Name: Inuzuka Raiden. Secondary Title: None. Age: Twelve. Gender: Male. Physical Appearance: Raiden can be easily described as good-looking. He's about 5'2", and he weighs about 112 lbs. He's kinda stocky, and muscular, due to years of physical training. He has a deep, sturdy chest, and squared shoulders. As is the case with most of his clan members, Raiden has one fang painted in red on each of his cheeks.
His most appealing physical trait, according to girls his age, are his eyes. His eyes are a light, icy blue color, and they quickly convey his intense personality. Raiden has high cheekbones, giving him a more mature face. He has light-brown hair, which is messy and kinda spiky, although Raiden takes care of it. He has purple highlights in his hair, for which he often teased.
Personality: Raiden's most dominant personality trait is his loyalty. He is fiercely loyal to his friends, clan members/family, and Konohagakure. Raiden's not the easiest person to get along with, granted, but once you make friends with him, he'd protect you with his life. Now, of course, to be this loyal, he has to be a nice guy. Raiden, deep down, is a nice person, although he doesn't always let this show. He hates it when people take advantage of his nice side, so he tries to conceal it. He does this by acting sarcastic and aloof, as well as acting like a tough-guy. Most people don't dare to tease Raiden, especially not to his face, because of how well he acts like a tough-guy.
Being an Inuzuka, Raiden has a real soft spot for animals, dogs in particular. His ideal job, if he weren't a shinobi, would be a veterinarian. His gentle side causes animals to really trust him, and most of the time, wild animals leave him alone. However, even though Raiden has a sensitive, gentle side, he hides it. He doesn't like people knowing about it, for fear of being manipulated. So overall, Raiden's personality can summed up as: kind, gentle, very intelligent, impulsive, and rough.
Catch Phrase: "Ninety-nine percent of problems can be solved with a sharp object."
Clan Information: Clan Name: Inuzuka. Clan Location: Konohagakure no Sato. Clan Traits: This clan has a large infatuation with the dog species. Rarely will a clan member be seen with out their canine companion which all of them have. All of their clan jutsu incorporate the usage of their dogs and could almost be considered another ninja with the level they are utilized at, quite often using the same jutsu as their human master. The dogs are often regular sized puppies, nothing to large from the beginning, and are usually in this stage for the duriation of the time the ninja is a genin, and part of their chunin. When the ninja is about 15, the puppy will go through a giant growth spurt, at least quadrupling in size. These dogs are bred specially and do not age in normal dog years and can live as long as a human. This was done so that a clansmen would not have to constantly replace companions because they often grow very attached to their dogs.
Inuzaka clan members also take on some very dog like characteristics in their body and also in their personality. Typically they are very brash and up front, being very animalistic and instinctual. This can cause them to come off as confrontational. Their canines are sharper then most, resembling that of dogs, and they have increased senses of smell, being able to track like a dog with little effort. They also always have red face paint on, which is the symbol of their clan. Kekkei Genkai: None. Secret Clan Jutsu: Name: Man Beast Clone Type: Ninjutsu Rank: D Element: - Description: A modified version/mix of a Transformation Technique and a clone technique, this jutsu, unique to the Inuzuka clan, allows a canine-user to transform their animal companion into a perfect copy of themselves. When combined with the Four Legs Technique, the user and the animal become virtually impossible to tell apart, since both act equally animalistic. Like any transformation, the jutsu can be broken by identifying and attacking the animal, thus dispelling the transformation
Name: Four Legs Technique Type: Ninjutsu Rank: D Element: - Description: This technique grants animal-like accelerated fighting instinct and reflexes. By stretching chakra around one's entire body and moving on all fours, one obtains super-high speed, like that of a wild animal. Taught only to the members of the Inuzuka clan, this technique forms the basis of a Inuzuka clan member's Taijutsu fighting style, and will add even more to their feral-like appearances; their canine teeth and their finger-and-toenails grow to claw-like length, their eyes become more wild. When under the effects of this jutsu, an Inuzuka will display feats of physical strength, speed, and endurance when they are in this state. The form is best suited for using and supporting the ferocious hit-and-run tactics that the Inuzuka clan are known well for.
Name: Tunneling Fang Type: Taijutsu Rank: D Element: - Description: The user spins at a ferocious speed and delivers many powerful beast-like attacks when contact is made with the target. This attack is done alone but it can be done with a partner, making it more effective.
Name: Fang Over Fang Type: Taijutsu Rank: C Element: - Description: The user and his partner spin at a ferocious speed and deliver many powerful beast-like attacks when contact is made with the target. The force of this attack is strong enough to drill through stone. This attack can be done alone, although it is less effective.
Name: Man Beast Combination: Two Headed Wolf Type: Ninjutsu Rank: B Element: - Description: Using a modified form of a Combination Transformation, the Inuzaka and their companion transform themselves into a large, two-headed wolf.
Name: Wolf Fang Over Fang Type: Taijutsu Rank: B Element: - Description: A way to be able to track the target with out using site has to be in place for this to work. After this t, both the User and his companion use Man Beast Combination : Double-Headed Wolf to become a large, two-headed wolf. The two then perform a much more powerful Dual Piercing Fang attack. Like the lesser version, they spin rapidly to attack their target. Unlike the previous version, however, they move so rapidly that they can't see where they're going, hence the reason for the earlier for tracking with out sight, which allows them to track their opponents usually by scent. This attack is powerful enough to cut a person in two, and even tear through steel. Even if the attack misses, its speed is so great that the surrounding air can slice like a blade. Such power is not without its drawbacks, however. Not only does this attack effectively blind both users for its duration, but it tires them such that they can only perform it three times at chunin rank. History:
The Inuzuka clan (犬塚一族, Inuzuka Ichizoku) or Inuzuka family (犬塚家, Inuzuka-ke) is known for their use of dogs (some clan members prefer wolves) as fighting companions. Clan members are apparently given their own canine partner or partners when they reach a certain age. Thereafter, the shinobi and his/her dog(s) are practically inseparable. Clan members have distinctive red fang markings on their cheeks, animalistic eyes, and enlarged canine teeth. It would seem that due to the bond between a Inuzuka clan member and their canine partner(s), their chakra is allowed to mix and is shared between them, adding a feral appearance to the human partners, and makes a bond between then that affords them the use of the clan's collaboration-style techniques, such as the Dual Piercing Fang technique. Background Information History: ~ Childhood Arc ~
Raiden's childhood was slightly normal. He was born to Kensei and Akari Inuzuka on the twenty-fifth of July. For the first four years of his life, he was a normal, happy kid, learning the basics of being a shinobi from his parents and other clan members. He excelled for a kid his age, particularly in Taijutsu. Growing up in a family of shinobi, Raiden quickly figured out that his dream was to become the best shinobi ever, and he worked hard to achieve that goal. That being said, bruises and cuts were pretty much a daily routine for him. Until one rainy day, when Raiden woke up and tried to find his parents. He asked the other clan members living in the clan's complex, but they hadn't seen them. Then Raiden finally got the nerve to look in his parents' bedroom. It was totally trashed, and there were blood spatters all over the room. But there was no sign of Raiden's parents. Immediately, the four-year-old Raiden alerted his other clan members, and the Konoha police came to investigate. But there was no sign of Raiden's parents' bodies anywhere. Raiden was sent to live with his grandfather. Every day, he spent most of his time outside, fishing or training or just something outdoors. He grew to love being busy - it took his mind off of things. He hated having time to think about his parents' deaths, because it just made him hurt. Time passed, and he grew stronger with each day. However, around the time he turned eight, he had to start helping his really old grandfather. At first, it was no big deal, just an extra chore or two daily. But then it rapidly progressed, and by the time he was nine, Raiden was pretty much taking care of his grandfather. After a couple months, a doctor diagnosed his grandfather with liver cancer contracted from alcoholism. Naturally, Raiden was pretty surprised, not to mention sad. It was inevitable now that his grandfather was going to die soon. And sure enough, about two weeks before his tenth birthday, Raiden discovered his grandfather's corpse in his bed. After the funeral, Raiden decided he would live alone in an empty apartment on his clan's complex. He also enrolled in the Ninja Academy on his tenth birthday.
~ Academy Student arc ~
In the Academy, Raiden made a few friends, but mostly kept to himself. He spent almost all of his free time training, to no one's surprise. His other family members frequently pressured him to move in with one of them, much to Raiden's chagrin. Instead of the nagging actually working, it just stressed him out, since he didn't want to move in with any of his family members, and because he was used to living on his own by then. On his eleventh birthday, Raiden met his canine familiar. He had been walking home on a rainy afternoon, and he spotted a Siberian husky-looking puppy wandering the streets, trying to find someone to help him out. Raiden took pity on the puppy and brought him home. He named the dog 'Aomaru', meaning "blue boy". He gave him the name due to the dog's intensely blue eyes. Raiden and Aomaru quickly became close, and they started training together. As a team, they made a lot of progress, and when Raiden turned twelve, he finally took the Genin exam. He passed easily. Now, he waits to be assigned to be a team.
Role-Play Sample:
Raiden sighed. He looked down on the town, watching people going about their business as the rain poured down. Raiden was soaked to his skin, but he didn't care. He liked the rain - loved it, even. He wouldn't mind if every day was a rainy day, as long as it didn't interfere with his training. "Wow... I need to get a hobby,' he thought. He jumped down from the rooftop, landing nimbly on his feet. He stuck his hands in his pockets and started to walk home. He thought hard for a second, trying to remember if there was anything he needed to do. There wasn't, so he went home. He had barely walked through the door when the doorbell rang. Raiden answered it, and there was someone from the Konoha police force standing. "You Inuzuka Raiden?" he asked. "Yeah," Raiden told him suspiciously. "Why?" "Well...we've found your parents." Raiden's expression changed from suspicious to shocked quicker than you could say "What?!" "You found them?" he asked. "Are...they...okay?" "No....they're dead." "Thank you." Raiden shut the door and locked it again, then sat down on his couch. He stared off into space, and for the first time in years, he started to cry. Hours passed, and finally, Raiden managed to stop crying. His eyes were puffy and red, and he chastised himself for crying. "Some shinobi I am," he thought. "Crying like a baby... I should be ashamed of myself." Sudden realization hit him. He had to plan his parents' funeral. Whew...tall order. He figured he could deal with just planning the funeral, but paying for it himself? Definitely out of the question. He got up and went to visit each of his relatives, not only to spread the news of his parents' bodies being discovered, but also to ask for help with the funeral. They all agreed, and for once, Raiden was glad to have his relatives' help. He went out for a walk, his faithful dog Aomaru by his side. He walked...and walked...and walked, for what felt like hours. Finally starting to get tired, Raiden headed home...but not before he made one last detour. He couldn't explain it, but he had a strong urge to see his old home again. He let himself in and looked around. It was exactly as he'd left it, down to the last detail. Raiden sat down on his old couch and finally looked at the family photo album. He sighed as he looked at photo after photo his parents, smiling broadly up at him. He couldn't take it; he shut the photo album, put it back, and headed home, his heart heavy with pain.
