Tamashi Clan [done] Vide
PostSubject: Tamashi Clan [done] Tamashi Clan [done] EmptyMon 10 Feb 2014, 7:59 am

Clan Name: Tamashi (魂)

Clan Symbol:
Spoiler:

Location: East of Konohagakure; though members have left to find settlement in other nations.

Signature Traits:
Physical Appearance: Each member carries the symbol of the clan somewhere on their person. Bulky is a far cry from their body type. Most prefer to have a slim physique to maintain their agility. A majority of clan members wear glasses, fake or otherwise, as a part of their usual wear. A holster is kept on their person for quick access to their tarot card.

Tarot Card: The tarot card is quite possibly the most important item to a clan member's arsenal. This card allows the user to holder to summon their Persona. Each card is keyed to only one user.

The Soulscape: The deepest part of one’s soul; open only to those of the Tamashi Clan who have awakened their Persona. The Soulscape varies from the mindscape in that the Soulscape is only accessible at a certain time. Here, clan members are able to interact with their Persona. One hour in the Soulscape equates to five minutes of real-time.

The Dark Hour: The Tamashi Clan experiences midnight differently from what one might expect. At midnight, members are pulled into their Soulscape, in which they meet with their Persona and train in better using the power given by them. Often, the individuals would hold spars with their Persona to create a stronger understanding of how each work. Each Soulscape is equipped with a tower aptly named the Tower of Babel. The Tower of Babel holds an undefined amount of floors to traverse, each floor more difficult than the last. As of yet, no member of the clan has been able to complete the tower; however, it has been recorded that the tower is over a hundred floors high. A myth is passed down within the clan that whomever conquers the final floor shall receive a reward of sorts. The Dark Hour ends an hour after midnight in real-time.

Agriculturist: All Tamashi members are adept at the art of agriculture. Gardens are grown behind the house of every person where they grow flowers and produce. A common crop grown by the Tamashi family are tomatoes. A common flower grown are white stargazer lilies.

Yin-Yang Due to the nature of the Tamashi Clan's kekkei genkai, the clan members are partial to Yin and Yang. Yin is used when molding the form of the Persona, and Yang in giving substance. Of course, this doesn't mean they are able to use Yin-Yang Release.

Kekkei Genkai: Persona. The kekkei genkai of the Tamashi clan. Using a tarot card as a medium, a clan member can pour their chakra into it and summon the personification of their very soul to aid them in battle; as such, the appearance of the Persona is based on personal preference. Without the tarot card, a Persona cannot be summoned. At birth, each member is given a blank tarot card that they are required to keep at all times. Persona typically awaken within a person around ten years of age. When initially awakened, the person will be pulled into their Soulscape where their Persona will appear before them. A syncing process is initiated when the Persona has first contact with the individual. Outside, If the card is with them as it should be, the clan member’s chakra will coat the card before printing the image of the Persona on it. At this point, the card can now be used to summon the Persona.

Persona could be placed into two categories: Physical, and Elemental. Physical Persona relies on Taijutsu to inflict damage onto an enemy. They rely on speed to close in on the enemy.  Elemental Persona are, as the name states, Persona that uses the elements to fight. The Persona assimilates a single elemental nature from the user and, from then on, uses it in combat. The Persona, however, cannot perform techniques on their own. They require the user to form the necessary hand signs to enable the usage of the technique.

The kekkei genkai places some stress on the body. The individual would feel slightly winded after summoning their Persona as it uses a piece of you, your spiritual self, to establish a body. Also, because the Persona is connected to its user, damage inflicted to the Persona transfers to the user in the form of a slight stinging sensation that lasts one post per injury.

Persona must stay within a range of 15 meters of the user, otherwise the persona will fade back into the Soulscape. It should be noted that, as the user is sentient, so is the Persona, to a degree. While obligated to follow the user's orders, Persona may suggest a different course of action depending on the situation.

Each Persona has their own storage of chakra. Elemental Persona and Physical Persona contain half the amount of the user. Once a Persona has exhausted all of their chakra, they fade away.

History:
Legend
There is a legend told within the clan of its founding and of the founders. The clan itself was a nomadic clan. They traveled from country to country, island to island, with no clear destination in mind. The founders were said to have the ability to switch Persona at will, given to them by a strange hunchback man with a ridiculously elongated nose. Using this, they defeated many foes who stood in their way. However, this came at a price. One of the founders, a male, grew weary from overusing Persona. His body was no longer able to handle the pressure it placed from the constant switching. As a result, he and his wife, the other founder, settled in the woodlands of Hi no Kuni with the rest of the clan; their location being to the east of present-day Konohagakure. There, they lived in relative peace and their numbers grew exponentially. Eventually the man perished and leadership passed down to his wife, who continued to help the clan prosper. They heard rumors of conflict erupting among other clans, but chose to remain isolate; to preserve the safety of the clan. Because of this, members learned to grow and harvest their own food.

Warring States Period - Sengoku Jidai
Years passed since the original settling of the Tamashi Clan and time has been kind to them; unfortunately, it was not meant to last. Leadership has been passed down family to family until it reached the hands of Tamashi Chihiro, a loving husband, respected leader, and doting father. He had three children, two boys and one girl. His eldest son was sent on a reconnaissance mission with four others, investigating rumors of conflict spilling into their territory. Chihiro was strolling around his garden with his wife when two guards came to them; both with concerned looks on their face. Noticing they were part of the guard group patrolling the northern gates, he immediately followed them to the gates; his wife returning inside to accompany their other children. Upon reaching the gates, his gaze turned stern when he saw unknown shinobi at the entrance but he quickly paled when he saw his son leaning on a foreign ninja. Calling his men to stand down, he allowed the shinobi to enter the clan grounds but ordered that they be kept under constant watch. He caught up to the strangers and lead them into his household. His two youngest greeted him at the door with worried looks on their face that mirrored that of their mother. They stepped aside and let the men enter with their brother and son, respectively. The mother and children stifled a cry when they saw their eldest in such a tattered state; cuts adorned his torso and large gashes ran down his arms and legs. His face was caked in dried blood.  All members of the family followed them as they set the young man down on his bed. The mother and the children stayed with the eldest son while the father spoke to the ninjas. From them, he learned they are of the Senju clan and they found his son in a skirmish against another clan. When he asked about the other four, the shinobi told him that they had fallen in the battle. The father held a forlorn look before it settled into a neutral stage. He thanked the shinobi and asked them if he could meet their leader at some point. The shinobi agreed before leaving the clan grounds. He let out a sigh and returned to the side of his family. Days later, an envoy of shinobi stood at the gates of the clan, all bearing the same armor as the ninjas before. Standing in front of them was their leader. They were welcome into the grounds with cautious, but open arms. First and foremost, Chihiro thanked the leader for his agreement to come. The two leaders were left to their own devices and began to discuss terms of alliance. The Senju-Tamashi alliance was formed. Together, they helped deflect enemy advances on each other. The Tamashi fed the Senju with the crops they made and the Senju guarded the Tamashi with all their strength. Eventually, other clans began to join the alliance. Most notable being the Uchiha, Inuzuka, Aburame, and Akimichi. At this point, the world’s first village was formed: Konohagakure no Sato.

Rise of the Hidden Villages
While the clans of the alliance moved into the newly created village, the Tamashi Clan made the decision to remain where they are. Despite many attempts, the clan was adamant to stay in the area their founders settled. Finally giving in, Konohagakure and the Tamashi Clan set up a trade route between the two and and the Tamashi Clan was allowed to enter their young ones into the Ninja Academy set up in the village. The two prospered in the ensuing years. The Tamashi sold many of their excess crops to the village and they helped in its construction. These villages lived in relative harmony, but everything changed when the 5 nations attacked.

First Great Ninja War
Not much is known during this time period. Only few reliable records remain that captivate the events that took place. All that is known is that the Tamashi Clan suffered heavy losses during the conflict, effectively wiping off one-fourth of their total population.

Healing Process
After the first shinobi war, the Tamashi Clan needed to heal and rebuild their ranks. Luckily, the Hokage was forgiving and allowed them to be exempt from missions on a promise that they will come back and pick up the slack. The  Tamashi Clan readily agreed, and thus began their healing process. Each  able member trained and trained, trained harder than they ever did before. All to not let the clan suffer losses like that and leave families empty again. The population of the clan slowly, but surely, climbed up to where they were before and continued to climb even further. After a few years, the Tamashi Clan was back, and stronger than before. The village welcomed them back with open arms and they went straight to work; they had a promise to keep.

Second Great Ninja War
Twenty years later, the Tamashi Clan was pulled into yet another war. On orders of the Hokage, the Tamashi bravely stood ground against Iwagakure shinobi at Kannabi Bridge. Fighting lasted day and night, until the opposing legion retreated. The resilience of Tamashi Clan was displayed as the losses suffered here was less severe than that of the previous war, only dropping by a twelfth of their total population.

Third Great Ninja War
Unlike the previous wars, the Tamashi Clan did not play any particularly important roles. They mostly ran border patrols and had skirmishes with Kumogakure shinobi. Their biggest skirmish happened at Tenchi Bridge when Kumo shinobi staged a full-frontal assault. Because engagement was little, Tamashi experienced very minimal losses.

After-years
These days, the Tamashi Clan has been living relatively normal lives. Their members are regularly going on missions, going to the academy, or staying at home and tending to the gardens and the little ones.
