Denkou is a little bit tall for his age, and as such, weighs slightly more than an average boy his age. His hair is yellow, and attempts to burst up and out in all directions, however he wears his head band like a bandanna, and his hair is forced downwards. His eyes are a dull red-brown. His skin is white, not quite pale and not quite tan, the best way to describe his skin would be 'neutral.' He wears a plain orange t-shirt, with a white track jumper, zipped up halfway, with the top part of the it up. A black stripe runs up the sides of the sleeves. He wears the cliche ninja pants, along with a pair of black converse shoes. He has a strap across his back so he can hold his swords. This, however, isn't how he always dresses, though he finds his head band being in bandanna form mandatory. He will sometimes completely unzip his track jumper completely and let it flow between his arms. His clothes aren't a fixed set, and will often just change randomly, in accordance with mission or fashion. Okay, maybe not fashion but if he feels like changing it. His jacket has three pockets, two and the bottom of the jacket, next to the zipper on both sides. They aren't very useful for storing things, and are more there for design than for practicality. He does, however have a inside pocket which holds his Cigarettes and his Lighter.
Personality:
Denkou is, to be blunt, a little naive, and generally not interested. He doesn't understand or believe the world can be an extremely horrible place. That isn't to say that he simply doesn't understand that some people do horrible things, but never thinks that those things will happen to him. He is quick to trust people on the surface, but it takes a while before he begins to truly trust someone deep down. Denkou's face often looks uninterested or distracted, and he speaks in either a bored monotone or in a lazy, not paying attention type of way. When Denkou is happy or finds something amusing, he will often say nothing and simply smile, he has picked up this habit from an old friend. During a fight, Denkou will say nothing and simply try to remember something he may have heard or seen, trying to remember something he can use. He will occasionally attempt to psyche out his opponent or perhaps taunt him, but he doesn't talk excessively. Denkou feels as if there is a huge gap in the universe, and is sometimes seen looking at the sky, occasionally muttering to himself. He enjoys reading, and if not training or watching the sky he will often be found reading. Denkou may occasionally be referred to as odd, as me is mostly a loner but deep down he wishes to be most peoples friend but feels as if doing so is disrespectful to an old friend of his. Denkou is the type of person who never really speaks, but if you get him to start speaking, he could continue for hours, if he didn't get distracted. On that point, he is very easily distracted, and will often use that to get out of boring conversations. If he finds a conversation tediously boring he will pay attention to something else, or if someones voice is really whiny, he may just run off yelling something about purple elephants.

All members of the Hakedoro clan are born with extremely powerful lungs, even at a young age their lung capacity is greater than other humans. An amateur member of the clan can hold their breath up to two hours without activity while a veteran can survive a full day without a single breath.

The Hakedoro all have wind as one of their two elements.

Kekkei Genkai: The Hakedoro clan possess the ability to create and manipulate smoke. Often they use a medium such as cigarettes or pipes but they are capable of creating smoke from within their bodies. When used, the smoke can be classified in two forms, tangible and intangible. Intangible smoke is essentially, as close to normal smoke as possible. It will simply freefloat and cannot cause harm but is used in supplementary jutsu. In contrast tangible smoke is smoke given both physical form and mass. This smoke is used both offensively and defensively in a variety of jutsu and can be manipulated in real time by the user. Since the smoke is made internally, members can release it from any opening in their body but prefer to exhale the smoke due to their powerful lungs aiding in the release and creation of the jutsu. The smoke is created inside their body by converting their chakra into the smoke. Often done in the lungs thus resulting in them being far stronger than normal.

While the smoke can be powerful and deal physical damage, they have the durability of a shadow clone and a single good strike will cause the object to dissipate. The size and duration the smoke can be and last is dependent on the user's rank.

Having a physical form and able to fight, its strength is equal to the user. However when struck, it will not dissipate upon the first hit but will reveal its form. The clone can sustain a total of three hits.

While they are used in the same manner as a cigarette they last 1000x longer and contain no tobacco or any other substance. They instead, contain a seal unique to the clan. When one of these cigarettes are used in tandem with clan jutsu, the cost of the jutsu is reduced by 10%

History:

Hakedoro, Denkou [Kumogakure Genin] 28m1lb7

The Hakedoro clan has existed as long as Kumogakure has existed itself. For generations the Hakedoro were a single family, bonded together by honour and loyalty. They specialized in both infiltration and assassinations and though they were never written in the history books, were one of the founding pillars that Kumogakure was built upon. As the village began to grow and the wars subsided, the Hakedoro quickly realized that their way of life would be unable to continue much longer and thus, they stepped out of their shadows and merged into the village. Their family quickly grew into a full clan several generations later, with the main line being the only one knowing of their bloody past. As well as the only one keeping those practices alive for future generations in case the time for bloodshed were to come again. In the village, most members live outside the clan quarters, only about 30% of the clan remains in their territory. Many take up various small jobs and are unaware of their latent abilities. Others join the local police force and fight to keep the peace within their own borders. However, all living within the quarters are trained to become ninja and whether they know it or not, continue their clan's founding practices.

Currently, there are well over two hundred members but only about 45% are able to use, and are even aware of their abilities. Currently among some of the elder members, there is the fear of the clan dying out . Not by war, not by famine, but by simply being forgotten. With more and more people choosing to live within the village and not the clan quarters, the thinner the bloodline becomes and their traditions fading. Inside the clan territory, the majority of residents are over the age of sixty. Only about 26% are of genin age and are all being taught the ways of the clan. The clan is run by the current head, Hachi Hakedoro and a small committee of advisors who overlook the various affairs of the clan. With the declining rate of members in the clan able to use their kekkei genkai, the production of their items has dropped immensely. Pipes are no longer made in preference of passing them down to the younger generations when they are ready.

Background Information

-History-

Childhood Arc:
Denkou was born within Kumogakure, and unusually, in the Hakedoro compound. Denkou grew up there, but was an outcast, and a little bit of a rebel. He would often hide or escape just so he could be alone. As he grew he and his parents began to drift apart, and he slowly began to stop living at home but rather started sleeping outside, in the freezing cold, among the beautiful clouds that slowly lingered through the cold night air. One night after a heated argument over nothing with his parents he ran from his house, quickly disappearing into a cloud. He ran, as best a small child could, away from the compound, through clouds and eventually he picked a large cloud, a big slow one, and simply sat within its depths, allowing the cloud to surround him, he sat there, running the argument through his mind, remembering every little detail that occurred. Suddenly a old man walked into his cloud, the man walked stooped over, his cane hitting the ground with a distinct -Klunk!- each time he took a step. The man stopped next to Denkou, using a wall and his cane to slowly lower himself down to the ground. He sat next to Denkou, there was a moment when their eyes connected, it was a moment of understanding, a moment of clarity, a moment of pure beauty, and for the first time he began to talk, not to convey understanding, not to convey orders, not to convey a need. He simply talked, he talked to the old man and he talked and talked, and the old man mearly smiled. It was the only time he had talked to someone else for pleasure, and he had made a friend.

Academy Arc:
Denkou had just started learning at the academy, and had just started to learn the basics of ninjutsu from the academy, and he still didn't fit in with any of the kids at the academy, and was often referred to as 'That Kid With The Book." He began to enjoy reading, and he was almost always found reading anything he could find, works of Shakespeare to stupid comics, Denkou would read anything he could find. His meetings with the old man had become frequent, and he started to know the old man well.
One night, whilst waiting in the midst of a cloud for the old man, a different noise rose to his ear, a different sound to that of the distinct loved sound of the old mans "Klunk!" It was still a Klunk, but it was different, ever so slightly off key. Denkou wasn't a musical boy but he had begun to cherish the old man and his cane, and that Klunk was all wrong. He flipped out a kunai from the small training pouch he carried with him. He held it at the ready, prepared for a battle. A silhouette appeared in the cloud, and Denkou charged, he ran full force, his kunai held in his hand. But as he got closer to the silhouette it began to clear, and he saw the old man. He skidded to a stop, confused, but the old man mearly smiled his smile. "I see you've noticed." He said, as he slammed his cane into the ground. He lifted the cane's point to Denkou, as the tip fell off on a small concealed hinge. "Reach in, I have a gift." He said, Denkou reached in without fear, and quickly whipped out the sword that he had found within. "Her name is Ikazuchi." the man said, a faint smile touching his lips as Denkou watched the blade with amazement.
Over the next month and a half he was taught by the man how to use the blade, and slowly began to learn the art of Kenjutsu. After he had mastered the blade Denkou turned up to the normal meeting spot and stopped. The old man lay there, drenched in his own blood, holding a sword out to Denkou. "Her name..." He said, pausing to cough, "...is Raikou." He said before handing it to Denkou. Denkou took at stood there, dumb struck. He didn't know how to react, he didn't talk, he didn't cry, he simply watched. He stood there and watched the old man die, with nothing but a faint smile on his lips.

Denkou didn't talk for a month after his death; he had no-one to talk to.

Genin Arc:
Denkou graduated from the academy, and began his genin life.

Role-Play Sample:
Denkou roamed around the city of Kumogakure, the streets were lifeless and he wandered through them without purpose. He jumped onto a person's roof top and decided to throw a kunai into a cloud 30m away. He watched as it flew with perfect accuracy, he flicked his finger and the kunai flew back, connected to a wire on his middle finger. He wasn't a puppeteer, but it was effective, and he jumped to meet the kunai. He threw the kunai again, flicking it back and around towards him. He caught it once more, it was too simple. He had trained like this too many times before, he needed a challenge, or at least something that would amuse him. He jump from roof to roof, it was a clear night, not a cloud in sight. In was horrible, it was... ugly. Since the old man had died, the clouds had left, he was sure they were there, somewhere, but he couldn't find them, it was like they knew of his death and they wanted to increase his suffering. He walked to the end of the district, seeing a park. He didn't know what compelled him to going there. He wasn't sure what made him follow that urge, but he did. He simply walked into the park and sat. He sat and it was wrong. There was no old man, there was no waiting for his arrival and there was no sleeping afterwards. It was like there was a void in the world. A giant void that no-one could see, and even the best sensor in all of Kumo wouldn't be able to notice it. Except for him. He was the only one who noticed it, the only one who knew him, the only one who cared. He leapt off the bench, flying through the air, and he landed back on a roof. In fact it was the same roof he had landed on in the first place. He sat there, looking at the stars.
Denkou watched the stars for a while, allowing them to slowly fade out as the light of day began to shine through. He watched the moon set and the sun rise, and decided to not return to the Hakedoro compound. He jumped off the roof, but decided not to be too conspicuous, Kumogakure was used to ninjas, but jumping around on peoples rooves for no reason was generally not socially acceptable.
Denkou jumped from roof to roof, the beautiful morning breeze flying through his hair as he leapt over small stalls, trees, onto a roof, over a startled woman, causing her to drop the groceries she was carrying, onto a wall, back onto a roof. He leapt from roof to roof, jumping extremely close to civilians, he was having fun, and for the first time in almost three months, he forgot about the old man, and a faint smile tinted his lips.

All looks pretty good to me, i wonder about your katana tho. Normal Genin arn't allowed to perform jutsu or use equipment over C rank, to my current understanding. Apart from that one thing the application is fine for approval.

Weapons: I thought it was legitimate for me to have the weapons on the case they are really C rank, but they allow the user to channel chakra into them, which Denkou won't be doing since he's a Genin.
