Clan Name: Temame

Location: Originated in mountains of Kumogakure

Signature Traits:
-Jack of all Trades, Master of None: Specialization is a word unheard of amongst members of the Temame clan. From a young age they are trained to incorporate the shinobi arts into an adaptable matrix of skills, making them extremely proficient at combining techniques across specialties. This trait comes from the teaching passed down by Temame’s disciples, the clan founders, who believed one could not attain wisdom with a single viewpoint. Due to the lack of focus in any one skill-set their jutsu mastery progression is slower (See ranking system below), but they are able to learn more through the addition of a third skill specialty.
Quote :

Kekkei Genkai: Since the clans inception the adoption of lost and wayward children has been a large part of their belief system and ethos. Within every generation at least one member has always taken it upon themselves to adopt children as did the original Temame. Due to this most members of the Temame clan do not share common ancestry and so do not share a “standard” Kekkei Genkai. All members are raised by the teachings of Temame’s children and possess the “Jack of all Trades, Master of None” signature trait. As one cannot truly understand how suffering can be caused until they have experienced it, all children upon reaching an age of adulthood (~12y.o.) are sent into the world to learn of suffering and to apply their teachings to understand how goodness can be found in the direst of circumstances.
Rule 1: All clan members must begin at Genin, there are no exceptions.

History: High atop mountain peaks where clouds drifted by humbled feet stood a temple monastery devoted to the teachings of Buddha. On a day not unlike another the Roshi, spiritual guide and elder master, determined that his sangha, the congregation of Buddhist monks, possessed all the wisdom he could pass from his years attaining enlightenment. For nights he meditated on the path before him until the last night when he packed what few belongings he possessed. In the morning he addressed his sangha to appoint a new Roshi of their order so Buddha’s teachings would continue to grace the lives of future monks before taking his first step descending the great stairway with every breath a memory of his former life and a reminder of how he came to be from the young boy who ascended the steps many years ago.
The world had changed in his absence, filled with war and sorrow even at the mountain’s base where Buddha’s light shown down for all to see. A boy no older than the Roshi when he first began the journey to enlightenment sat covered in ash and blood stained rags upon the final stair, his hands holding a rusty blade found amidst the burning rubble of his home. Brooding with unkempt hate the boy riled and yelled at the older man though he knew him irresponsible for the deaths of his family. The Roshi allowed the boy his anger, but warned against the taking of life for the suffering of such an action was plain to see. Only through compassion and the protection of life could he find true meaning when all seemed lost, so was the boy’s lesson in life.
The pair lived at the mountain’s base trading skills for food while the Roshi learned of the boys past until a time came when the boy accepted the Roshi as his teacher and the Roshi accepted the boy as his son.
For a year they travelled the world, trading for food with skill and knowledge. Each day brought new lessons and challenges to the Roshi’s only apprentice until that fact was no longer true. On a cloudless night camping on the outskirts of town the boy awoke to a young girl stealing what little food they possessed. In anger he charged her, forgetting the Roshi’s lessons of peace, but was halted by the calm of his father’s voice. She is starving he told his apprentice and brought her gently to the fire where he boiled rice to fill her empty belly. When she was full and satiated they learned a history of greed and thievery that brought the only daughter of a local businessman to the dirty streets far from her home. Jealous of her family’s wealth burglars assaulted their wagon laden with wares and left her family with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Soon after her father and mother died of starvation, feeding what little they had to their daughter in hopes she could survive. That night the Roshi saw in the firelight what path had been set before him and adopted her as his daughter.
With each passing year a new child of misery found their way to the Roshi’s arms. His third child, found in her swaddling clothes, was a daughter born from the sins of a prostitute mother and left to die alone in the streets. Though youngest of the Roshi’s children, she found the greatest hurt in life and swore to hold no child in her womb. His fourth child lay homeless in the streets and disowned by her family for lies of infidelity spread by a boy who wanted what he proclaimed she committed. His final child came to him from an abusive father with more love in his heart for drugs and alcohol than the son who carried his name.
The Roshi gave them sustenance, love, compassion, and thought them lessons to ease the hurt of their past. As they grew and he aged their family parted ways. His children grew to love in the intervening years, finding comfort in each other’s arms, and settled to raise families of their own. Only the middle child raised from infancy remained at the Roshi’s side in his continued travels until the day he died, vowing to follow his path and adopt lost children as her own. Years passed before the Roshi’s five children began to teach their children the ways of their adoptive father and it was only then they realized his lessons were individual. Without each other they could only teach one part of his divine wisdom so they determined to find each other and build a family based on his teachings.
For generations their family grew by birth and adoption, a sacrament to this day, until they formed a clan based on the teaching of the Roshi’s children. They eventually took the name of their forefather and teacher as their own becoming the children of Temame and finally the Temame Clan.

[8:36:18 PM] Enzo: Anyway; the character won't be able to match others in specialty, but specialty doesn't say much. It's the jutsu and SC you use.
[8:36:33 PM] Enzo: By having that many jutsu, even if your character starts off weak, you'll be incredibly OP by Jounin.
[8:36:44 PM] Enzo: Being able to use B-ranks of any jutsu.
[8:36:54 PM] Enzo: B-ranks are essentially A-ranks without the high accuracy.
[8:37:14 PM] Enzo: With all specialties, you have access to not only every SC
[8:37:18 PM] Enzo: But also every jutsu.
[8:37:27 PM] Enzo: Which leaves you with limitless possibilities for defense.
[8:38:09 PM] Enzo: You can overcome someone's strengths and weaknesses, if you specialize in everything @~@

^ This.

They do not specialize in everything, only 3 specialties. If that is staff decision, however, please delete this submission and not simply archive.

Having three specialties would still be OP I'm afraid, plus we do allow members to join certain specialties when reaching a certain rank, I'll post the table below this. The proposals we offer within the table is probably as far as we're willing to take it, any higher and it's reaching the borderline of becoming overpowered. Sorry about that. We also do not delete topics, instead we archive them.

Archived.
