Just a few thoughts on the matter. Some of these may be what Shiro had mentioned before.

Currently, it feels like the majority of Miscellaneous SCs are both generally unused, but also could be removed entirely. Many of these are more suited to be aspects of a character's personality/aspects of a character. If someone wants to be a Rich Boy, surely, he/she should be able to do so without wasting a slot, especially since we don't have a Money System and therefore, there is no gain from the trait. For example.

Another thing that could be done, is to limit the combinations one can have. For example, either Chakra Control or Capacity. Strength or Speed (or limited Speed, if good Strength (vice versa)). Evasion or Endurance. Element 1# Prodigy or Element 2# Prodigy. This means that characters are still capable of being just physically strong or mentally focused, but ultimately, won't be able to be the best in everything they do. After all, a Character which has Speed, Strength, Evasion, Stealth and Endurance (or something along those lines) would be rather horribly over-powered and would have the potential and the member would struggle, to stop it from godmodding, because such SCs combined allow for it to a large degree.

Also, certain SCs could nullify each other i.e. cancel out the effects. For example, Endurance should cancel out another's Strength; Speed should cancel out Evasion. This means that both SCs are rendered inactive in that battle (or are weakened depending on their levels). That way, a Character that chooses defensive SCs will not be punished for not choosing their offensive counterparts.

If these are done, we can ultimately lower the amount of SCs a person can have. Alternatively, Negative SCs could be introduced, though I will doubt they will be looked on favourably. In the end, Rank, SCs and Jutsu should ultimately be an extra. What really should decide a battle is the quality of the roleplay and the thinking behind one's actions - not the amount of 'toys' a person has.

As an extra, some SCs could be granted to a Member by the Staff. These would be Unique (UCs? xD), and would be awarded for various things. For example, one could gain a SC for participating in battles frequently, or having trained a certain amount of Jutsu - the Veteran or the Scholar, respectively. In this particular case, I would imagine the prior would (for example (again xD)) reduce chakra costs and the latter would lower training time.

The Forum Assistance is to get help from the staff on something. You already posted this in the Lounge a week ago, and we're still discussing it. Reposting the same thing isn't going to speed up the process. So I ask you; What exactly are you asking?

^_^ This is also where you post suggestions.

And no, that was a System Overhaul. These are on the other hand, just a few ways of changing the current system. I don't mean to offend or anger.

As previous Staff, one will be capable of noting that changes are still occurring. This "system overhaul" as you put it, would make it almost useless to make substitute corrections when afterwards, we'll be editing them out anyway. I do believe that most of what you posted here, is actually being discussed in the thread. We do appreciate your input.

I was referring to what I posted in the Staff Lounge as a System Overhaul. Well either way, it would change a lot of things, so it felt appropriate to deem it that. (Unless I'm thinking of something else o.o)

This topic contains suggestions in regards to the current system Smile

And thank you.

Topic can be archived. (also, I'm loving your signature xD)
